wow...I, can't even describe how incredible/amazing/fantastic BioShock really is. So much detail in one big game...and the music fits the theme and environment so amazingly well. Everyone, try it out. This game is like seeing a famous painting come to life before you. My words can't even remotely get into how impressive this game stands. Out of all the FPS I've played and seen, this takes the cake in terms of graphical detail. Speechless here to be honest. I thought the start of the demo was part of the intro really...until I started moving around...

True that. I wish I had a bigger and better one to enjoy this game to the full potential. It's beautiful, plays beautiful, everything about it is beautiful. I went into the demo with super high expectations and the game managed to surpass even those expectations. Might be too early to judge based off the demo alone, and with all the other great stuff coming this year, but I think I've found my GOTY.

Not to ruin anything about the demo, but at the beginning when you first take control of your character, I had to wait until the game told me it was time to move, I still thought that was part of the cutscene! The game looks THAT DAMN GOOD. Gears finally has some competition in my opinion.

Are there turbo controllers on the 360? And even so, timing the jumps just right going that fast seems like it would be tough.

I dont know I think something got a little screwed up, because the 100 Meter is under 8 seconds and that is just straight running and second place on the hurdles last I checked was just over 8 seconds. Oh well.

Same thing i did, it does look amazing on an hdtv, im so damn excited! i only got to the security helicopters then i had to leave, but truly a great game and looks crazy good too! 8 more days:evil laugh:

The Bioshock demo was quite entertaining. The deco style is absolutely spot on and is the high point of my time with the game. The other big thing is the use of 5.1. I've never played another game on a console that used sound to such great effect.

Is the only other plasmid you can find in the demo the Incinerate one?

I also think this is a great game, especially for $FREE.99. My only problem with it now is that I can't get that last ridiculously high score achievement because everyone I encounter on Live are foul-mouthed 10 year olds who love to boot people to show how much of a man they are to their friends or guys who won't let anyone into their insane games, usually spouting some ridiculous garbage before booting you. I start my own games but everyone just quits, is horrible, or is a jerk who steals all the powerups, dies and then quits.

I certainly agree with the smoothing = crap statement. Is it just my TV or does the jab sound have a little twang to it sometimes? Other than that little question I'm having an awesome time with this one. WELL worth 400 points.

Shmup purists might say that Ikaruga is more puzzle game than shooter; though any vitriol is mostly directed at press coverage of the game (hyperbole like: Best Shooter Ever) than at the game itself.

Personally, I think it's an outstanding shmup and XBLA is much better off for it, though I am more interested in Omega Five than Ikaruga.
