It's not free. You pay with 30 seconds of your life before you delete it.
Drive a stupid looking car with a tentacle attached over a track from 3DO Crash n Burn and shoot at orange cones. Yay.
Every other arcade game > Yaris. Seriously.

Sounds awesome!!! Can't wait to play it tonight after work. I didn't have time yesterday, very upsetting.

I played a few minutes, not too bad, the right analog, seems to control some sort of targeting system. overall not too bad, but I only played one game since I was playing orange box... SWEEET GAME....

God Yaris is really, really lame. I know nothing about the car (don't think it's released over here in Japan), but the game almost turns me OFF the car. I would've preferred some generic shovelware "Ford Racing"-type crap over this. It's bizarre in a non-artistic, non-interesting way. I can't see myself earning even one achievement off this. Aegis Wing was free XBLA done right.

Yaris - everything has a price, yet no money out of pocket, this game stunk up my 360 library, this has to be the worst game i've played in a long time.

Everyone should have already played it on the DS or the PSP.
And verses mode is totally broken. Fighter + Deathbringer = Round 1 Win.

Gotta add, I was back in town over the weekend and I got a chance to download Puzzle Quest (I'm a sucker) and it looks like they really balanced the gameplay.
You can only buy 40 skill ups and some of the crazy moves (like Deathbringer) have been substantially toned down. While this makes the quest a bit harder, it will make verses at least competitive.
All and all first rate. I can whole-heartedly recommend PQ to anyone now, and especially those looking for verses play.

I play it on my DS. I invested 50+ hours easily into that game. I'm not planning on doing that with another version when my system has much more to play (BioShock, MOAR Halo 3, Orange Box, CoD4 ect).

It is worth it to go back and see all the rebalancing they've done in the game. It definately improved my experience.
BUT, you're right, PQ is a big time sink to really enjoy it and there are a great many new time sinks on the 360 this season.

I love the Every Extend franchise. I still have the free game on my PC, and it still gets played quite regularly.
Definitely purchasing E4 over Speedball 2.
And Lumines Live will be permanently discounted to 800 points, starting Wednesday.

Wow. E4 should be absolutely fantastic. I'm happily suprised it's coming out this early. Using a real analog stick instead of that PSP nub should improve my scores several times over.
And with Everyday Shooter just released on PSN, this is going to be a stellar week for shooter fans.
EDIT: Any word on if they're going to re-release the Heavenly Star skin-pack for Lumines? I missed out the first time around.

Heavenly Star is back up, alongside another bonus free skin, Breeze. The Holiday Pack is pretty good too, just played through a handful of the new skins. E4 is awesome and worth re-buying if you have the PSP version.

EEEE is fuckin' awesome!!
great music, including levels where you can use you own songs (this is where my Digitalism or Justice CD's come in handy ;) ), and it's friggin awesome to sit back, and watch the explosions chain up. My record chain, so far, is a little over 3000. My favorite stage happens to be the 'sonar' stage.
I never played the PSP version, I've been playing the free PC version for about 2 years now. I like that you can now stop the chains by pressing B. It helps out tons when you're almost out of time, and have extra time icons floating everywhere.

Played the GH3 demo at Gamestop. Saved me 500mb disk space, and looks like it's saving me $100 too. I was very disappointed. I'm getting the PS2 version for my younger brother for Christmas. I think I'll just play his copy. :D The guitar battle with Tom Morello and the new version of Cult Of Personality are amazing...but not c-note amazing.

All-out topspeed highway run is fun, with decent crash physics. The circuit 'grip' racing is unrewarding.

Undertow is up. And it's pretty fun, if you can overlook the lame side story and voice acting. The gameplay is a mix of twitch shooter and RTS.

But they're about 1.6 gigs per pack.....

The achievements are different. The disc version has the standard 1000 achievement points (split up into 32 achievements). The download version will only get you 10 achievements for 250 points. The kicker is the download version adds those 250 points to your existing Tomb Raider Legend score. This sucks seeing as I had 1000/1000 until a few weeks ago. Now it's 1000/1250.

So is anybody less than impressed with the Buccaneer table? I know that since it was free there's really no cause to complain, but the table design is pretty crappy compared to Agents and Speed Machine. I do like it better than Extreme, though.
It's a shame that the Pinball FX team won't license their engine so someone could release classic tables through XBLA. I'd pay 800 points for an Addams Family, Twilight Zone, etc.

We've gotten lots of stuff since the last post here:
Halo 3 map pack
Arkadian Warriors
Gripshift
Rockband content
Exit content
Forza 2 content
DDR content
Xbox originals
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.
I haven't had much time but I gave the Arkadian Warriors demo a shot. In the half hour or so I gave it, it played like a dungeon crawler with some cutesy cartoon characters. The gameplay was a bit slippery and it was VERY simple, almost too simple. Imagine a dehydrated Diablo. Kinda disappointing coming out of Sierra Online.

I beat it 100%. It's basically My First Diablo, meaning that it's hack 'n slash action...simplified. And you thought it wasn't possible.
Not awful; the game is around 5 - 6 hours long, so you'll get your money's worth. I wouldn't recommend plowing through it like I did, because it sucks that way. If you play it for 20 minutes every so often, it's not god-awful.
But yeah, it is pretty bland and shallow, even for a hack 'n slash; alas, it's the only option (and one of the only games even close to an RPG) on the 360, so...I bought it.

When I first saw the standard Atari XBLA interface, I smelled trouble. They really need to knock it off with this throttle monkey nonsense. The classic version of Tempest is a disgrace. Bad sounds, bad graphics, bad controls, bad everything.
Then I tried the evolved version, and rolled my eyes as I checked off every "evolved" Atari cliche in the book...bad techno, can't-see-shit explosions, constant controller vibrating. Ugg. But I kept playing. You know, it's not so bad. Not Tempest 2K good by a mile, but 400 points good, sure.

I was quite underwhelmed by Metal Slug 3. I hate that "smoothing" filter and the standard controller is absolutely horrible for this game. For the amount of money I would need to invest in getting a good controller for this game, it just doesn't pay for me. Furthermore, some of those achievements are absurd. Beat the final stage without dying? That will take some time, friend. Granted I have my MVS copy (and now I know why they never made MS3 backward compatible), but I won't be dropping another $10 for this one.
