yea...its amazing...i only have 10 or 11 levels left to have all 60 done under par....then its 18 easter eggs left to nab.....

this is probably the best game i own that i dont have any actual phyiscal content to show for it....

Great topic. I DLed marble blast ultra and got 200/200 achievements on it in 2 days, great game.

There's a major update to Live due on Monday. The update is rumoured to update live so that you can download in the background and it will add support for the unreleased webcam.

Tuesday will see the release of the much awaited COD2 update that will fix the lag issue, save issue and possibly more.

The content is rumoured but those dates are confirmed.

Edit: So I just played the demo and this is a must buy. Not only is it cheap, its fucking another fun amazing game. The graphics are great and the music is soooo good.

I figured I would post this here since this would also give the US people access to the Japanese and European marketplace and vice versa since new marketplace demos come out there that we dont get, such as the Ninety-Nine Nights demo that comes out Japan only on March 1st.

Contrary to your original thoughts on this, we both spend 300 M$P on the extreme extra, the sketch, and the nano skins.

The extreme expansion makes wave 1 more like wave 25, but your points are doubled! When you turn this off and go back to the regular difficulty the game seems easier, making those precious Achievement Points easier to get.

The sketch skin turns the board into an drafting table with lines. Enemies and crystals are all sketchy. This skin makes the mines that the enemies drop easier to spot then in the default skin.

The nano skin turns the board into a petri dish of sorts. Enemies look like microscopic creatures. This skin is high contrast with a black background. That in itself changes the game a little. Again the enemies that drop mines are easier to distinguish from the crystals.

300 more M$P well spent? I say so.

Just a heads up "The Outfit" multiplayer demo is scheduled to come up on Live on March 3rd.

In addition to Astro POP, Jewel Quest and Feeding Frenzy, SFII is currently scheduled to debut on Live before the end of the month.

I wonder what achievements they'll put in? Beating the game w/ X character obviously... perhaps number of online wins, beating ranked opponents, combos, etc. There's a ton of cool potential. Revive the classics, and give them new appeal. Best part of the marketplace so far.

From what I hear (and as I said before, this is coming from someone with months of hands on experience), the single player is probably the game's weak point. That isn't to say that it's bad - it's just not the multiplayer.

It also saddened me to see so many folks online speaking lowly of the game, writing it off as just another shooter without even trying to understand the strategies and intricacies. How shallow is that? We are definitely in an age where quality is largely determined by how instantly the player is gratified. Sheesh.

Dying bears a greater punishment in The Outfit than it does in games similar to it. The respawn wait is longer, and the points lost is larger (especially if you're killed by another human player). It could definitely be better in this regard, but it could be a lot worse, too.

There are some major similarities to Bejeweled, but also there are some major differences too.

For example on Jewel Quest you have to create a chain on every single square of the board until the squares are all gold, and also the game board changes shape after the first few levels, making you think several steps ahead to chain jewels in tough to reach spaces.

Also the time limit is much more unforgiving, actually taking time away for an incorrect move.

It's a shame JQ doesnt have as many game modes as B2 does... still, I bought it, and am working my way through slowly but surely

I'm anxiously anticipating word on how the BA demo is. I've been looking forward to it for quite some time now.

The targeting system in BA is incredible. Easily the best I've ever used in a flight title.

The training mission is pretty weak. Don't judge it based on that. The voice work is pretty aggravating, but once the attacks begin in the second level, you don't care.

Astropop also showed up in the Live Arcade today.


Now, to wait for Battlefield 2 tomorrow!

Good game, gets bloody hard later on and the achievements will be quite a challenge
