just got back from gamestop where i was picking up a copy of Bust-a-Move DS. i was waiting in line behind this lady with a giant trade-in, and she had a copy of the hot coffee version of gta:sa, which gamestop no longer takes back in as trade because of the content. along with it, she had the guide which gamestop also does not take in. so, she turned aroun, gave them to me, and said "merry christmas." i thanked her profusely and took off with my new game :)

Found this today at a local flea market, the price I paid for it, will remain a secret...

Bastard! LOL

Good Job on finding Snatcher, because it's one of the best Sega CD games ever made. I went to the flea market two weeks ago and I purchase Dark Wizard, Heart of the Alien, Android Assault, Sonic CD, and Ecco the Dolphin for the Sega CD all for $27 (everyone of them were complete). ;)

Bought RE4 at BestBuy today. I had a gift card, so it was only like $17 or something. I bought it kinda... "just because" and this only further ads to my backlog of games. I think I'm going to bust into RE4 before, just because everyone says its an awesome game, and from what I've seen, I believe it.

I went to distant lands of a second grade flea, and scored. I walked up and bought a Turbo Express with Hit the Ice for $38.00. I saw that he had a Tengen Tetris, and he threw it in free. A good day indeed.

I'm so happy! I just came back from GameCrazy... picked up Mega Man X2 for $10.81! It's mint too. The guy said "Huh, this must be a rare game. Most our SNES games goes for 4.99, this one is 9.99" *rings it up while I laugh inside*

I know it's "not a world-beater type deal" but it's pretty damn good, and I walked in NOT EVEN expecting to buy it... it wasn't even in my mind! Those are the best buys/finds... the ones you have stored in your subconscious. Good stuff.

I also raided a flea market where I picked up 7* SNES games and GARGOYLE'S QUEST for a total of 37 bucks. Not bad. Later in the car, I found out the total was really 39 bucks, but that the lady miscounted.

Even better. All in all a top morning! 8-)

More GameStation goodness.. no idea why I bought Faery Tale Adventure though, that wasnt a good deal as its in poor condition. All games complete except for Xmas nights which never came with a manual..

Was going to go to the flea market/carboot but didnt get up early enough!

They had a Streets of Rage 3 at GS, looked totally mint.. 29.99, I was looking for something else good, as then I could of picked another 29.99 item and effectively had it for 15 quid !!! but they had nothing.. just Shining in the Darkness which blatantly isnt worth anywhere near 30 of the queens.

Both of my Gamestations have dried up on retro stuff. The one in town has only got sports Megadrive/Master System/SNES games, and expensive N64 games.

The one on the other side of town has still got a basket of cartridges, but they're mostly Megadrive and Master System, which I only collect at least boxed. They said they would be releasing lots of retro stuff over the last month but I didn't see any more than usual.

I'd take that SoR3 if it was in one of my GSs.

Got Bust-A-Move DS for $20 at GS Saturday. I was also pleasently surprised when I got home. Some imports that I had ordered about 3 weeks ago had arrived for around $90 (Yikes!) total. They are ESPGaluda and Sonic Wings (one of those Hamster releases), a budget series title I had to own as I have fond memories of playing Aero Fighters (U.S. name for Sonic Wings) at my local Pizza Hut back in 92. It's still a solid shmup ;)

after regretting not getting the spidey plug and play I decided to go back today and found EVEN more plug in plays for 2-5$ each:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/pluginplay2.jpg

never saw the pitfall one beffore, a steal for 1$
and since theres like some big sports game thing today, I decided to buy a sports game, never saw a us rugby game before..so for 2$ I figured it was worth it..I guess

and she only charged me for one of the dc controllers, and that one was half off so I got a free dc controller with turbo and I beleive its also programmable.

not a bad day.

Well actually it plays fine. My PS2 slim was a rather recent (5 months ago) purchase and yesterday was the first time I fed it a CD, so it's reading it fine. I'm just slightly paranoid about it's future after all the stories I've heard on the net about PS2's and blue disks.

Just won it on ebay.

Wow, how did I miss that one. Didn't even know about it. Almost the whole Activision range, with 4 titles missing:

Flea Market:
Atari 2600:
Pacman
Pacman Jr
Donkey Kong
Pitfall
Dolphin
Yars Revenge
Warlords
Atlantis
Popeye
Pole Position
Dig Dug
Phoenix

NES:
Gradius

Cobra Triangle
NES Advantage

I think I paid about 30 for all of the stuff (probably overpaid, but I'm just starting the 2600 collection and not having to ebay was worth it...)

Local Music Chain:
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition - $15, but I had points built up at the store from their frequent buyer program so I paid $7.50.

Gamestop:
Star Wars Episode III DS - $24
Devil May Cry 2: $9.50

Heartbreak this weekend. HEARTBREAK!

http://alaimolabs.com/Finds020606.JPG

All of this stuff is from thrifts. Went to visit the parents this weekend, and I don't think that there are any game collectors down there.

The two EA games were 75 cents each and are completely complete.
Mutant League Football doesnt have the manual or any inserts and was $1.75.
All three NES games were $1.75 each. They are Contra, Sky Shark, and Bad Dudes.
Two Apple II games; Colossus Chess IV and "Meet the Presidents". $2 each.
Microsurgeon for the Intellivision. Missing the overlays only. $1.75.
Manual for Order of the Griffon (TG16), Free. Not in good shape but whatever. The HuCard was nowhere to be found. I also found the back half of a Jack Nicklaus Turbo Golf, but left it.

So here's the heartbreaker. Duo games. Found two of em. W00t, right? BUT....

First I find Dragon Slayer, in its original jewel case but sans manual. For $2 who cares? I'll take it. Falcom RPGing goodness. But then, as I keep thumbing through the CDs (All of the TG16 shit was lumped in with the CDs... ALWAYS check the CD bins, people) I find Dungeon Explorer II. FUCKEN W00000!!! That's an R7/$90. But I open it up, and Theron's Quest is in there! WHAT!?!?! I think that they got switched because the back cover of the DEII manual has an ad for Theron's Quest, so someone else probably bought a Theron's Quest Jewel case and manual with DEII in it. Still an awesome find though, as I got 2 loose Duo games and the jewel case and instructions for Dungeon Explorer II for $4 total. But what really keeps me up nights is that you KNOW that at one point there was most likely more TG16 and Duo games in there, and perhaps either a TG16 w/ CD-ROM attachment or a Duo system. MAN!!!

Still a great weekend though IMHO.

BTW Contra and a loose copy of Mutant League Football are available if anyone wants to buy them or trade for them.

Well I got some more games today:
http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/7511/dsc001623es.jpg
Alien Front Online(DC)- 14.95 Complete
Gradius III (SNES)-9.95
Pilotwings(SNES-9.95
Starfox(SNES)-9.95

The people at this place were so friendly. Before I went to Gameworld, I went to a place called Game Repair, the guy running the store(who I later found out was the owner) wanted 100 bucks for a used Sega Saturn. The guy was an A-hole. But at Gameworld the people were so friendly. It was family owned and the sweetest little old Japanesse lady help me finding games. I sweat even though that place is across town I will be going back for sure.

Scuse my enthusiasm but.... HELL FUKIN' YEAH!!!!

I raided four (yes, FOUR) Game Crazy's today on a major Genesis hunt, I don't even have the system yet! LOL. I did the same thing with SNES 2 weeks ago. Got a system coming in though, of course.

Anyway, after my class was over I have a 3 hour break. Went home but on the way stopped by a Game Crazy.

Picked up The Immortal for 1.99

Went back to school. Class cancelled. Shit. Hmm, make the best of it.

Went to another Game Crazy picked up

Rocket Knight Adventures
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
The Adventures of Batman & Robin
Light Crusader

$11.88

Went to another GC immediately, and picked up

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
CyberBall
Strider Returns
The Faery Tale
Storm Lord
Sword of Vermillion

$15.10

Ended the day with one last GC stomp which saw

Fatal Labyrinth
Centurion: Defender of Rome
Spider-Man
Grind Stormer
Mutant League Football
Cyborg Justice

$10.78!!

Funny story on the Grind Stormer... I almost missed it... it was ALLLLL the way in the back flat on its back. You couldn't see it with the naked eye with no mirror. Luckily for me GameCrazy backcases have mirrors. I saw a ship on the front cover and had a feeling it was Grind Stormer but wasn't sure. Nonetheless I asked the guy I wanted to buy it. When he picked it up he sounded disappointed, "Oh, this is the last one..."

Man what a day. The Genesis rush has hit me hard. I fucking love it. 8-)

A good day indeed. Half these games I never heard of before/don't recall. I bought it based off how the title sounds/picture art/company/hell it was 2 bucks :p

I do love the feeling of going home and checking up on the new 'unknown' games you bought... sometimes you hit upon a title that is unexpected gold.

I ordered this the other day and it was £18. I checked it yesterday before they dispatched it and it had gone down to £8, so I emailed them asking what price I would pay when they eventualy sent it and they refunded £10. They said if the price goes down within 30 days of ordering something they will refund the difference. That's something I didn't know.
