I know, I know...I was one of the many who was initially against the February month finds thread, but I have to report my success with exploiting the CC computer glitch during the B2G1 free sale that ended last night. :evil:

I had the associate to ring up the following games in the correct order and paid what I paid below:

Went to the local indoor flea today for the first time since probably... crap, October or November. Not a bad day all in all. There was a new vendor there with some overpriced commons (NES, DC, SNES, etc.). He did have some 7800 stuff which I haven't seen in the wild recently, plus a boxed Saturn with 25 games (almost all of which were EA Sports games) which I could've talked him to 100 on. Not enough cash for that right now, though. So what DID I get?

I am ticked off I passed on a Kabuki: Quantum Fighter. It was one of those moments where I couldn't remember if this was one of those underrated gems on the NES (and it is) or some random shovelware. Due to the repackaging it was in, I couldn't see the HAL logo :(

I almost never go out looking, since my knowledge of rarities is more or less nonexistant, I tend to have no luck, and I'm, well, lazy, but I headed out to Thrift Town today and ended up with this:

- A big black plastic TurboGrafX-16 carrying case, containing:

- A TurboGrafX-16, with CD addon thingy
- Dungeon Explorer card
- Burai, in Japanese :D
- Legendary Axe card
- Keith Courage in Alpha Zones card
- Victory Run card in a Bonk's Adventure case
- Military Madness card
- and Bonk, in a Military Madness case

for $30. Pretty good, I think.

Oh, and on the way there, a homeless lady told me she liked my haircut. I'm pretty.

Well, I spent too much on NES games this weekend. I hit a local used game store and he had a few boxes of stuff I could go through (I was looking for Milon's Secret Castle)...

It's winter up here, so no yard sales going on, and I really needed an NES fix, so I grabbed them.

Also (should be arriving today) I ordered 9 Atari 2600 commons from someone on Atariage - IIRC the games I have coming are:

Megamania
Joust
Frogs & Flies
Moon Patrol

I paid $15 total for those.

I'm trying so hard to stick to my list of "must-have" games for both systems. I'm really hoping to have all the NES games on my list done by the end of summer...but we'll see!

Why not get some kind of Nintendo DS stylus? surely the principle is the same and it would work?

I had a game.com recently it was boxed like new with the original 2 games etc, I sold it for about �25 I think?

What VMUs do you have.. I like VMUs I have several, are any boxed?

Do you know if GS take in sports games for Megadrive, I was told they give about 50p-�1 for Megadrive games, but ive got literally 60 sports games or more and �1 or 50p each would be great.. what sort of stuff didnt they want?

Ive also got a couple of "pong" type consoles to get rid of.. I was wondering if they take those..!

No finds lately for me though, no carboot on Sunday as I have too much stuff LOL

Really? I felt ripped off at �5 boxed, instructions, with four games.

I have four loose white VMUs. The batteries seem to have run down and I don't have a Dreamcast to test them on. One of them has the connection cover missing.

I've also got a spare N64 rumble pak, Mario 64, World Cup 98, and a NES controller. I had a spare Super Mario World but I might have traded it in a while ago. I can't seem to find it.

I think that's all I had to trade.

Id say Two Crude Dudes is fairly uncommon in my opinion... Starflight beign the hardest to find of those lot (IMO again)...

the psx is a 9001 and works perfectly 7.50
kirby and the stupid mirror was 12.50 sealed (opened it and played a whole 5 minutes)

the videos are beta and were about a dollar.
sonic 3 was 4$ and even has the manual.
never saw the genesis cleaner thing..I can't imagine a genesis ever getting dirty enough to require one..I've had one since release date and its never needed cleaning..oh well

this marks the first time i've ever found atari games at my thrift shops, they were a buck a piece..overpaid sure..but the novelty of finding atari justified the price.
n64 controlers were 2.50 total, never saw one of em before and i'm a sucker for clear controllers.

the goofy megaman chip things were 1$ each..I figured they'd be good trade banter to a megaman collector..and last was some lame fantasy books for a friend.

all in all a good day!

Probably not worth your time being in such a busy area. Phoenix is damn busy as well, but I hit up all my major pawns around 2 years ago, and theyve NEVER changed or gotten worse since then...basically I just drove random ways through (shitty) towns and checked out whatever I could find. Pretty weird people there too...like Mr Jamiaca man who wanted to kill me for some reason.

They had a Streets of Rage 3 at GS, looked totally mint.. 29.99, I was looking for something else good, as then I could of picked another 29.99 item and effectively had it for 15 quid !!!

I asked in the Newcastle branch when they had both Shining Force III & Dragon Force in stock, but they said that the BOGOF only applies to stuiff that's �9.99 or under :/

Well I went to the Game Station again and they said they couldnt do it, however they said that for example a �29.99 game and a cheaper game e.g. �4.99 or less would be OK for free, but not two, as they put it "rare" games that I was looking at..

However, I bought Streetfighter Collection for the Saturn, and KOF 95 for the Saturn, which were both priced at 19.99 each, for 9.99 each after the BOGOFF offer, so does that mean that my LOCAL Game Station are simply breaking the rules? LOL

As far as im concerned, the stickers dont say anything about �9.99 or less, they always run out of stickers despite it being stickered items only.. so why only under �9.99

Obviously getting two �25 games for half the price would be an absolute bargain.. but still, �9.99 games on BOGOFF are pretty good..

They had a Streets of Rage 2 for �4.99 complete, so I was gonna get a DC game at �4.99, but they couldn't find SOR2 even though it was on the shelf only a couple of days.. I reckon a member of staff wanted it, but I didnt say anything as I didnt want to upset them LOL

Anyways, got these yesterday, they managed to find them all so that was a plus

I was pretty happy today, especially with getting both Toki ports and Vandal Hearts II. Lately, I've become very interested in the small, short lived arcade company known as TAD Corporation. They look to have made some pretty sweet games. Too bad Legionnare never got a console port :(

When I bought some stuff from Japan, a couple of times they put the free Sega leaflet thing inside it.. apparently released monthly in Japan.. which was cool!

Yesterday Mom brought me home some PSX games from GoodWill. They are:

Jet Moto 2(complete, greatest hits)

Gunfighter: The Legend of Jesse James(no manual)

She forgot to check the disks condition and some of them are pretty bad. But Jet Moto 2 has be the worst looking disk I've ever saw. No lie. It almost looks like someone scratched in with metal. I don't have much hope for it working, but you never know.

my girlfriend somehow got to talking with her neighbor about video games, and he said he had some stuff he was trying to get rid of. i told her to tell him that i'd offer some money, but the neighbor wouldn't take it, (my gf has also recently given him some nice shelves she didn't need anymore) so i ended up with the following last night for FREE:

And to stay on topic.. uh, NBA Hoopz for Dreamcast. $10 wasn't a great price, but kind of sort of rare, or so I hear. Plus, it's mildly fun to boot. I hadn't planned on that.
