Happy March! Start of garage sales and flea markets for those in warmer areas! I always look forward to March for what I call the beginning of Hunting Season. Hunting for Video games that is!

Post your March finds! Pics if you can get 'em!

I got a surround sound system for my room for £50. It's probably a cheap piece of shit, but I'm pleased with it so far. The only problem I've found is that it doesn't go really loud, but for my small bedroom it's fine.

While I was in Toys R Us I noticed Lethal Weapon 2 on DVD was £2, so I bought it as well as the speakers.

The big car boot sale here should start up again soon. I'm not sure when but my friend said March.

I guess we're combining ALL finds including those on eBay on here? Didn't find an Everything eBay FINDS thread.

Anyways, I found this nifty Bandai Media Press Kit from 1987 that premieres the NES Family Fun Fitness pad!

Family Fun Fitness Kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=4838855962url)

I'm happy!

Lucky people in warmer temperate climates! I'm in NY so it's definately going to be one more month at the least until the flea market and garage sales show up :( We're getting more snow in upstate NY this week then we did in January!

Anyway, I just took a trip to EB today, mainly for Super Princess Peach, but also for some uncommon NES titles (and Trojan) I knew they had.

http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/5202/im0003518xr.th.jpg (http://img329.imageshack.us/my.php?image=im0003518xr.jpg)

After EB Edge card discounts they were:

Super Princess Peach - $34.99
Trojan - $0.89
Pinball Quest - $2.69
Kabuki: Quantum Fighter - $1.79
The Magic of Scheherezade - $0.89

For some stupid reason I passed on Dragon Spirit (couldn't remember it was a classic Namco coin-op thanks to the Ban Dai logo) & Ring King. Ring King is priced at $9.99 but I should know better that it will probably ring up at considerably less (Sheherezade was priced at $7.99).

Not much but last night I got:

35 in 1 Pirate GBA cart.
Faceplate for the Outfit

The GBA cart isn't too bad, it has Ducktales and Tetris on it, which makes me happy :D

I made a great find today at a pawn shop by my work.

Chrono Trigger - $3
Final Fantasy III - $3
Uncharted Waters New Horizons - $3
Romance of the Three Kingdoms II - $3
Romance of the Three Kingdoms III - $3
Sim City - $3

@_@

I couldn't believe it. All of them are cart only, but for that price who cares? The labels are all in really great shape.

Screwed up and got a tax refund this year, so I've been spending it like a complete idiot (as is to be expected!)...

Started buying NGage games finally and I hope to get an NGage sometime soon to play them. So far I've got:
Pathway to Glory
Pocket Kingdoms
Elder Scrolls: Slow Road to Draw In City
Glimmerati
Syphon Filter Chaos Theory
(All for $7 new from Gamestop)

then I saw that Lego Star Wars (PS2) was $20 new. Bought that.

then I noticed that Otogi 2 was $30 new, and since I was already spending money, I bought that too.

Then I saw that Rune (PS2) was $7 and King of Route 66 was $15, so I figured I'd pick those up too. I loved Rune on PC and I've always wanted to compare the two versions against each other...and I'll cockpunch any man that tries to shit talk King of Route 66. That game is 100% man on a disc. It's a guide to how to be a real man. A manly man.

so as we left the store, we walked into another one and saw Hidden & Dangerous 2 and Max Payne 2 (PC) in a double pack for $20 total. Look, Max Payne 2 is pure sex, and Hidden & Dangerous 2 is the sequel to one of the best WW2 action games of all time...so..fucking boughten.

Somehow I also wound up buying Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for PS2 ($10 new), Wind Waker ($15), Pikmin ($15), and something else that's escaping my mind right now. Damnit. Edit - Goldeneye for PS2 ($10 new), which I bought solely for Takayoshi Sato's artistic contributions to the game. Yes, I'll buy a bad game just for a glimpse at his work.

Not a bad month so far!

I had some great luck just recently at the thrifts!

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/cut001.jpg

SNES Console - 2.99
Sega JCV X' Eye w/:
2 sega 3-button controllers
1 jvc 3-button controller
all hookups - 24.99

SNES - Earth Defense Force (loose) - 2.99
SNES - Super Mario World / Allstars (loose) - 2.99

Everything works like a charm! I was really happy with the Xeye. I believe I'm going to switch it out with my sega cd model 2.

Then today in the mail I got:

A package from a dp member:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/crush.jpg

Genesis - Bonkers
Genesis - Double Dragon 3
Genesis - Exodus: Journey to the Promised Land
Genesis - King of the Monsters 2
Genesis - LHX Attack Chopper
Genesis - The Ooze
Genesis - Twin Cobra
Genesis - World Championship Soccer

All complete! Only thing that disappointed me was it was shipped in one HUGE bubble mailer. Paper box games were kinda badly crushed, but I was able to fix Bonkers with a new cart tray, and Exodus wasn't too badly damaged which I couldn't replace, so no biggie.

Then the other two packages had:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/cut003.jpg

SNES Boxes for:

Megaman 7, X, X2, & X3
A ton of sega genesis manuals I needed out of a lot of 200. I saved a WHOLE TON that are extras, and will probably resell. There were also a lot in HORRIBLE condition I just threw away. Unfortuneately one of them was MUSHA, which I need =*(.

Finds for today....

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/thurs.jpg

DC - Bust a Move 4 (complete) - 10
DC - Power Stone 2 (complete) - 15
NES - Street Fighter 2010 (complete) - 6
NES - Ultimate Basketball (factory sealed) - 2

In the mail:

Genesis - High Seas Havoc (boxed)

I was really happy with the DC games! Bust a move was an ok price, but Power Stone 2 I couldn't pass up, with the stupid amounts it goes for on ebay. Also thought the sealed nes game for 2 bucks was a cool find!

I went all over the God damn place today, and here's what I found:

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for PS2 complete and near mint--$30

Firefighter F.D.18 for PS2 complete and near mint--$20

Captain Novolin cart-only and absolutely pristine--$10 (funny, I'd been looking for this for quite some time, and found it just a few days after that thread in the Everything eBay forum about it)

Sonic CD for Sega CD complete and mint--$5

Chavez 2 cart-only for SNES--$3

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow strategy guide--$10 (I came very close to paying full price for this a few days ago; glad I held out)

I'm quite pleased.

EB Games

Power Move Wrestling (PS1, complete) - $1.79

Movie Gallery (all previously viewed DVDs)
Be Cool - $5
Diary of a Mad Black Woman - $5
Elektra - $5
Guess Who - $5

Oh, I forgot something even better than the PSP - a 56" wide Regent Sports air hockey table with paddles (no puck) for $20. It was an open box item from Toys R Us. I paid $2 for the puck online, and I'll have it in 7 - 10 business days! :D

Certainly not gaming related, but it is definitely my find of the year.

http://alaimolabs.com/roubaix.jpg

Roubaix Elite 27. Full Ultegra. Carbon fork, seat stay, seatpost, and headset. Nevermind how much it was, but it was more than I have spent on games in the last year, easily.

Long time since I have bought anything gaming related. So I checked a goodwill and got these. Never really find too much at any goodwill.

PGA Tour Golf(CIB)-$0.99
NHL '94(CIB)-$0.99
Bulls vs. Lakers & the NBA Playoffs(CIB)-$0.99
NHL Hockey(CIB)-$0.99

Total=$3.96 but being a student actually comes in handy for once-discount price = $3.57. Not half bad.

Also, I looked at the box on NHL '94 and there is a small thing that says limited edition, What is the difference?

Not a banner day at the flea market, but not a complete wash I guess.

NES - loose, $2.50 apiece

Kid Icarus
Xexyz
WWF King of the Ring
Archon

All were in pretty good shape, Kid Icarus was picked up for a friend who already has it, so it's now trade bait I guess. Same with Xexyz. Oh well, the latter 2 put me up to 427.

Atari 2600 - loose, $1.50 apiece

I have played H.e.r.o on the atari 2600, Although it may be awhile until i play the 5200 version since i don't own an atari 5200 yet.

Anyway, today, I met someone who owns a PSP. (No, i didn't buy anything) Rather odd, considering that, before i met him, i had a feeling that i might meet someone who owns one. This feeling was long before i even got into the mall's parking lot.

Today I woke up early to hit the flea market and a few thrifts. Nothing really, but I managed to get a few genny games I needed, and a replacement SMS game for my complete collection:

Genesis - Fifa 97 (complete) - 4
Genesis - MLBPA Baseball (loose) - .50
Genesis - Tony LaRussa Baseball 95 (loose) - .50

Got two more loose games for my boxes and manuals at home, and another complete game.

Came home after grabbing some lunch and some packages arrived in the mail. Got a ton of sega genesis manuals I need for my boxed games, and then my best on-line buy ever:

I picked this stuff up off another message board. The Turbo Express unit has no sound, but it can play hu-cards. I'm going to try D-Lite's sound fix that I found on the neo-geo forums and see what happens ;D.

Needless to say, I am quite pleased. I tested a few games and they worked. I'm gonna fire up the DUO, and try them all out now. The previous owner said a few hucards wouldn't work in the express unit, so I'm gonna see how everything goes. Hopefully I can fix the express unit ;D. I have about 5 of these games, so some of them will be up for sale.

"Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Collector's Edition. "
$69.99 plus tax (figured the extra 10 bux was worth it).

-That is only suppose to be 60 bucks for the collectors edition.

I know you are in Canada but still that is terrible that it is that much.

Chris

I had last years alezz with ultegra 9 spd and just broke the rear
replacement hanger so I bought a New full carbon Giant with
ultegra 10 spd and Ksyrium SL wheels as well as 2 sets of
new wheels
one Easton Circuits and Ksyrium elites, all up it was around
$5000Aud! I race pretty competivly around here and wear
Number 1 in most handicapped races in my district.

Do you race?

I got a complete non-GH Xenogears from blockbuster for $5.99.
I've never finished it as I haven't played it since it was first released. I didn't like it then but I happened to come across this about a day after I decided to give it another shot. Now if I can come across a complete non-GH FFVII for around $5.99...I'll be in gamer heaven for a couple weeks or more. I doubt that will happen though, I'm sure whoever put this on the shelf had no idea how popular Xenogears has been. I doubt I'll be so lucky with a FFVII.

I dont remember if it was PoP1 or 2 but SNES was my first experience with PoP. I liked it a lot & if I were to buy a SNES thats one of the first titles I'd look for. Grats on the find, you'll get a lot of fun out of it.

Flea Market...Pachinko Machine for $10.00
Wow! Man, the only Pachinco machines I've seen have been closer to $150. Good find! I'd have taken that in a second.

...$1.99...$1.00...$3.99...$3.99
My wallet is kicking me in the crotch right now, but it was all worth it :)
Thats how I'm livin' right now. Spend $11 and I feel the pain for a while. LOL

Nintendo NES (All Mint, Loose):
Earthbound Zero - $27.50

What? O_O

I have played H.e.r.o on the atari 2600, Although it may be awhile until i play the 5200 version since i don't own an atari 5200 yet.

I know how you feel, I can never seem to find a 5200 with everything included. The hardest part seem so be the controllers...I have a loose unit with no controllers and they seem to go for WAY too much online. I guess my 5200 collection is kind of irrelevant anyhow since I own an 800xl with about 100 games on several floppy diskettes.
