Not really a find, more of a "My brother was home for easter and found this in his closet" (http://flamevault.com/~jesus/random/brocloset.jpg)

Score.

EDIT: Bah, what're you at, 800x600?

1024 x 768 and even at full size there was still horizontal scrolling required. Those that have the DP index menu on the left have it even worse. ;) Thanks. :)

Nothing too major.
Thunderforce V - $4.99
Silent Bomber - $14.99
King of Fighters Neowave - $19.99
Armed and Dangerous - $4.99
Return to Castle Wolfenstein - $4.99
Ghost Recon - $2.99
Brute Force - $2.99

Grabbed Thunderforce V earlier this week to replace the one I already had, that was missing a cover and back insert. KOF was new at Gamecrazy (and wasn't easy to find!). Then yesterday I go out trolling for cheap current gen stuff, and what do I see on the shelf but Silent Bomber. After hearing good things on here about it, I grabbed it. Sucker is MINT, even the case doesn't have any scratches on it. Not a bad week![/img]

Managed to score myself some 3D glasses for the SMS, Mr. Basic Meets Bits and Bytes (R5) and Mind Strike (R5) *sealed* for the Intellivision. Also in the same lot, Montezuma's Revenge (SMS), Mega Man 4 (NES) and a bunch of other goodies, well over a hundred games in total.

Traded a spare Vectrex for most of it. :)

Here are my finds for the past 15 days, not counting the xbox game i posted up earlier:

http://www.fine-art-works.com/ga706.jpg

On the second of april, i bought Rampage for the SMS
from The salvation army for $2.99. I forgot to mention
it earlier in my reply about Buffy the vampire slayer.

On the 7th of april, At EBGames I took back my
receipt for Buffy, and used it towards getting
Pitfall: The Lost Expedition, and The Terminator:
Dawn of Fate, both for xbox.

Before i bought my games, Someone was treading in
their gamecube, But the store couldn't accept one of
the controllers (R Button is lost) So i got that for free.

The gamecube controller is thrashed - And the
C Stick doesn't work. So it's going in my repair bin.

Cost for Pitfall: The Lost Expedition and The Terminator: Dawn Of Fate, $8.99.

I also stopped at The Salvation Army and picked up Shooting Gallery and After Burner for the SMS.

The SMS games were $2.99 each.

Then, a few days later at a goodwill i bought 4 NES games:

Donkey Kong Classics
Metroid
Startropics
Super Mario Bros. 2

All loose, bought them for 49 cents each.

Then, last friday, at The Salvation Army i bought
Monopoly, Paperboy and Wanted for the SMS.
Monopoly has the box, but every other SMS game is
Complete.

SMS games $2.99 each.

And finally at EBGames i bought:

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (Xbox, complete)

For $22.49, with my EB edge discount.

So, the final price is $51 for all.

Edit: Fixed a typo quoted below.

I felt like spending some hard earned cash today so I did a bit of scavenging and found a decent pile of stuff.

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/superbag.jpg

Vogager is one of my favroate trek series and seasons 3 and 7 are amoung the best, so I really coudln't pass em up.
one of the "best of friends" dvds (eventually want all the friends dvd releases) as well as a random 1$ friends tape at the dollar store, plus a few random dvds here and there.
as for games I finally got a copy of parasite eve greatest shits (wanted one of each) never did get the beast wars game for psx, for 5 bucks couldn't say no...dunno why I grabbed the uber shitty robot anime game...but it was 5$ ;-) and the m&m game i've only seen once, and i'm morbidly curious to how bad it could be. a couple random gbc/a accesories for 99 cents each including a pink car adaptor (I collect pink gb stuff)

the fun find of the day was when I stopped at work to check things out and grab some cheap ass easter crap.

I got the superman bag, some candy and this:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/bunny.jpg

aparnetly I just missed a great deal, since these repacks were in the easter section, they were in fact 50% off...
I guess a lady had just bought all of them, oh well..I found this one buried behind some candy mc nasties.
for 7$ its an adorable piece to add to my collection (I might swap the sealed game out for a good game like kim possible 3 or something ;-)

Ugh, nothing special really... minty NES Metroid for 5$... Picked it up at a pawn shop, and while I was there I looked though the GC/XBOX/PS2 games and noticed that he had a GC NCAA basketball game, price $12 as all his "newer" games were priced. I knew that GC had a "rare" NCAA basketball game, but I wasnt sure which one it was, so I left it there. Once I got home I checked the DP list and eBay and noticed that there was only 1 NCAA basketball game for GC, sure enough it was the same one that he had at the pawn shop. Went back the next day after work and it was gone of course (along with about 1/4 of all the other GC games). Oh well, looks like I'll never learn x_x

Oh and a Joe Montana Sports Talk football complete for Genny, 2$ at Goodwill

yet more thrifty finds today (bored day)
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/upwords.jpg
I found another psx with no cables for the lowest price I think i've ever payed for a console 2.50 and it works (model 1001)

the strategy guide was 25 cents.

I went over to the salvation army, grabbed a stack of books, amusingly found the diablo 2 manual shoved in with some christian crap kids books, grabbed that for 25 cents, then I found my favorate board game that appeared to be complete AND the version with the larger gameboard..for 2.00.

then I went back home and stopped in at my work and handed my boss some kids books for his son, I then went to the front end to cash in a bunch of my "red card" rewards to pick up friends season 6 for free;-)
(its funny how nobody bit on my trade thread for friends dvds..they could have scored some really rare stuff for cheap had they been smart enough to run to thier local store and pick these up..oh well ;-) only 2 seasons to go!

overall a good if not small find.

While in Gamestation yesterday I was told they were having a "load" of Megadrive games brought over from another shop last night. I went in today and there were about ten new ones in the basket of old games. I either had most of them, or they were crappy. The way they sell old games in that store is awful. Everything is just tipped into a basket, so cartridges fall out of boxes, cases get broken, and CDs get scratched.

I managed to get these complete.

Megadrive:
Global Gladiators
Mega Bomberman
Superman: The Man of Steel
Taz in Escape from Mars
Wonder Boy in Monster World

Master System:
Back to the Future 2
Ghost House
Rescue Mission

BOGOF, came to £13.

Boxed Light Phaser for Master System - £3

After spending the day yesterday looking for an N-Gage (bought a bunch of games for $2.99 each), I was going to give up, but I had some time today, so I took a ride. Still no N-Gage, but I did find this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/klausien/MGS3LE.jpg

SCORE! :rocker: I stopped in a Gamestop looking for said N-Gage and saw it in a stack ready to be put out on the floor. It was a preorder that wasn't picked up. My luck, their loss. I also asked the surprisingly cool clerk and he produced this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/klausien/SAGADISC.jpg

Needless to say, I am a very happy man. I also went to another store and got this:

Definitely makes up for the lack of N-Gage systems anywhere in my area. :D

Although I'd prefer to post pictures I can't most of the time due to submitting my finds while at work where there's no way to upload pictures. Anyways:
Sega CD:
Ecco the Dolphin: The Tides of Time - Complete and really nice except a cracked case.

Dreamcast:
Jet Grind Radio - Complete, near perfect.
Record of Lodoss War - Complete, few light, very minor scratches.

Nintendo:
Contra - Cart only, very clean except a smudge on top right of front cover.
Mega Man 6 - Cart only and very nice condition, only prob: loose corner of the front cover.
Super Mario Brothers 2 - Cart only, a bit dirty, faded, and a name on back.
Super Mario Brothers 3 - Cart only, very nice condition with no defects.

Super Nintendo:
Contra III: The Alien Wars - Cart only, very clean and no physical issues.
Super Mario Kart - Cart only, a dent on the top cover.

I got each game for $1.99 and ended up selling SMB2, SMB3, and Mario Kart for $20, so I made a little over $1 and got 6 games. I'm happy. :)

I stopped by a garage sale an old neighbor was having today. They had a few used PS2 sports games, and then right next to that I saw 2 ROB robots for the NES. They didn't even have a price on them so I asked what she wanted for them and she said she had no idea what they were and if I knew I could just have them. I told her what they were and she said "well, enjoy em!"

So I got 2 loose ROB's today for free!

That's freaking awesome Flack! I love it when people at garage sales are nice enough to give you stuff for a good price (or, in your case; free) instead of just trying to use ebay as a means to prove that their stuff is actually worth something.
"How much for the NES game?"
"Well, I can get $10 for it on ebay"

As for me, I got three very nice complete NES games today:
Dragon Warrior 3
Dragon Warrior 4
Operation Secret Storm

All for the NES, putting me very close to a complete collection.

Very nice find with the MGS3 stuff, klausien. How hard to find is The Document of MGS2 now days? When it was released I picked up mine at an indie store but have never come across a copy in the wild.

And free ROB's, nice work Flack!

Earlier in the week, Tuesday to be exact - it finally wasn't raining for the first Tuesday in five weeks so the flea market was in full swing. Nothing great though.

SMS - Altered Beast (complete)
SMS - Kenseiden (no booklet, light damage to insert)

I got the lady selling them to toss in a Rubik's Pyramid for free since I knew that no one else would want it anyway. LOL They're up for sale in my Buying and Selling thread if anyone is interested.

I also came across a Mega Joy III Famiclone, just the main N64 controller looking part - I should have known better given how it was loose like that but it was next to nothing so... Anyway, it has some problem with the board, nothing works except for the second A button and it causes the menu to scroll up. LOL Beat to snot at one point anyone? Oh well, gave me something to mess with for awhile until it went into the trash.

Ok well today was a good day. (And yesterday technically) I started off having a crappy day, morning meeting at work, watched Silent Hill ( it was ok ), and then did nothing but hunt games.

First off, yesterday went to a used game store. Picked up these games.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0180.jpg
Boxed Madden 95, Boxed NCAA BBall, Boxed Stanley Cup, Toys, Baseball Sim 2020, Jack Nicklaus Golf, Extra Innings, and No Escape. Well worth my time just for No Escape.

Then today, I bought my brothers N64 from him for $75 bucks. More than I wanted to pay, but hey I wasn't going to haggle my brother lol. Sigh, so much for sticking to SNES for now.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0179.jpg

N64 w/ Expansion, Kirby 64, Both Zeldas, lots of wrestling, etc.

Then, I went back to my parents house and dug up some of my own stuff.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0183.jpg

DC games including Shenmue, Seaman, etc. RE:2 for PS, two Zelda boxes, couple 64 games, and some pac-man thing I bought.

Can anyone tell me more about this thing? Anything?

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0184.jpg

Finally, I came home and my roommate had went home and got all his SNES games for me since I said something about collecting them again. He is keeping all the fishing games, but there are some nice finds here.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0181.jpg

Including...

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g244/67dash/101_0182.jpg

SCORE!!! So we are still discussing price, but I should get them all at a fairly discounted price.

Well that is all for today. May go to flea market tomorrow, but its supposed to pour.

Rofl, must have been pretty funny.

I got a Super Metroid guide for 10p (who knows where the cart was, it wasn't in the tub of sports SNES games) and a Bowser plushy for 50p. Despite the tiny amount of buys, it was a pretty good day :(

Yes they do. A pack contains the entire series. Just trade the second pack.

As I noted in this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=84290), I got the following from a gaming store that's going out of business (50% off)

Paper Mario: 1000 year door (GC)*

and some pac-man thing I bought.

Can anyone tell me more about this thing? Anything?

The Tomytronic Pac-Man, while not as valuable or entertaining as the Coleco tabletop Pac-Man, is still a nice piece from the case design standpoint. It uses a VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) like some of the tabletop games of the era so you get a bright display lit from within. VFD's were expensive to produce and very delicate which is why many one-make handheld and tabletop manufacturers moved to LCD. Of course LCD and even light source lit color LCD is nowhere as nice as a VFD display.

More information here at MiniArcade.com (http://www.miniarcade.com/tomy/pacman.htm) and here at HandheldMuseum.com (http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tomy/PacMan.htm). For comparison here's information on the Coleco tabletop Pac-Man at MiniArcade.com (http://www.miniarcade.com/coleco/pacman.htm) and HandheldMuseum.com (http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Coleco/PacMan.htm).

Price comparison - Tomy version about $10 loose, $25-$30 totally complete - Coleco version about $60-$80 loose, $150+ totally complete. ....yes, people pay that much. x_x

^^ dude, downsize ont the pics. It makes the thread too hard to read for some of us. *Awaits InsaneDavid's response*

Don't need to, you beat me to it... this is a proud day for me. :( LOL

As for my finds, popped into GameCrazy and grabbed a couple NES games from their diminishing inventory.

NES - Palamedes ($2.69) R5
NES - Rock 'n' Ball ($1.79) R4

I picked up Palamedes for my girlfriend and I never come across copies of Rock 'n' Ball, nice little pinball game. I'll probably toss it onto my Buying and Selling thread.

I told myself I wouldn't buy any more systems or games for a while because I wanted to save a bit more for my computer. But one of my exceptions came around and I had to jump on it. I told myself I wouldn't get a Micro unless someone traded one in for cash, and someone did just that.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/Kuros/micro.jpg

Complete with everything and in very good condition for only $35

Thursday I got:

Brain Age - $20
Fatal Fury NGPC - $2

WOW, there are some cool finds here.

The free ROBs, the $35 micro, the $3 adventurevision, the $16 for $160 worth of gamer graffix skins.. :)

Anyway, to my finds.

http://www.fine-art-works.com/pfre4nes.jpg

Most of the NES games were bought yesterday, but all other finds were the day before.

Gamecube:

Resident Evil 4 (Complete) - $16.19 with my EB edge discount.

NES:

Astynax
Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers
Contra
Double Dragon II
Duck Tales *
Marble Madness
Metroid *
R.B.I. Baseball
Skykid
Star Force
Target Renegade
Tiger-Heli

NES games were $1.19 each (Except for the ones marked by *, those were 99 cents each, also the ones marked were bought 2 days ago)

PSP:

Pursuit Force (Complete)

I took Tony Hawk's american wasteland back for a refund (It's not as awesome as it's videos are) And put that cash towards pursuit force - So, you could say that pursuit force only cost me $9 instead of $31.49.

So, now i've updated my PSP to 2.5, Shame because i want the emulators. I figured i might as well do it, i've been aching to try pursuit force.

Also, i've put $10 down on something to hold it, i'm not saying what, not yet anyways.

The brochures were free.

So, all in all, $71.56. I have been spending too much this year.

Today's trip at the flea market wielded some good games for good prices. I got these 8 NES games from two seperate vendors, who both happened to be selling them at 4 for $10. I picked up the following:

Popeye (w/ dust cover & instruction manual)
City Connection (w/ dust cover & instruction manual)
Tetris 2 (w/ dust cover)
Athena :shameful:
Blaster Master
Rock 'N' Ball
Power Blade
Mega Man 4

Then I went to GameCrazy and stared at the pitfully small selection of games for systems of yesterday... I only ended up picking up a VMU but wound up renewing my GameCrazy discount card for $14.99 which includes a subscription to a magazine of your choice (I took Nintendo Power) and a free demo of Steambot Chronicles.

And a serious question for SNK and/or Nintendo fans. Why do most of SNK's NES games suck so bad!? Seriously, except for Fighting Golf, P.O.W., and Guerilla War, I've been utterly disappointed with their NES games (*note* I don't own all of their releases yet). Ikari Warriors and Athena are the prime offenders. Did the guys who ported these games to the NES just suck real bad or what?

LOL You know as soon as I say how it's hard to find a copy of Rock 'N' Ball someone else finds one a day later. As for Athena you have to realize it was a VERY early Famicom game for SNK which makes up for the things like how the program stalls when a level begins, etc. I won't argue that it's horrible though. LOL

found a loose genesis star control for $3, and beany bopper and human cannonball complete for $5 at the flea market today. the beany bopper and human cannonball had the same red $1.99 stickers and "1X" written in greasepencil on the back as these (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=967460&highlight=goodwill#967460) games that i got at goodwill last week, so i'm thinking that mr. flea market guy discovered them before i did. i also got a complete lost luggage at the same goodwill a few days after my initial find, so that's 10 complete 2600 games (well, 9 games and touch pad) in a little over a week...

ROFL Well I do see Palamedes every now and then and that copy at GameCrazy had been there for awhile, it didn't pop in my head to grab it when I was there the time before. However now I think that there was a copy of Rollerball there that I didn't get. :/
