It's good to see you're taking responsibility for these things!
While people may never have the same trust in you, I think it's honorable that you sent out the packages, I mean, hell, you could've just taken off with their money.
Personally, I'd probably buy from you, because, at the very least bit, you showed a sense of honor by doing this, and I doubt you'd try to scam people after that.

I'm glad you started the long mailing process.

Can I please get a request that you send my items today (Tuesday) or Wednesday at the latest?

I bought NES games Krion Conquest, Metroid, Code Name Viper, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales.

And on the SNES side I bought the Flintstones.

I'd really appreciate if you gave me a DC # soon. I'd ideally like to receive the items before May 20. No later than May 25. Thanks in advance.

Hey ScottK. Like Steven, I also would like to request that my package be sent as soon as possible. I purchased the following loose SNES games:

Final Fantasy 2
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
F-Zero
NBA Jam
Super Caesars Palace
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Thanks.

Scottk, I'm just reminding you that I still have an open PayPal complaint with you, I filed it on the 9th, and I'm going to keep it open at least until the DC # you gave me actually works, PayPal will likely automatically find in my favor if you don't respond to them by the 19th. Or, in other words...Ship my stuff soon please.

Nothing new to report today. I should be able to mail some more either Wed or Thursday. The remainder will be on Saturday. I guarantee that everything will be mailed out this week for sure. No more delays as I have a huge check coming any day now.

I'm making everyones package a priority right now. All dc numbers will be posted as soon as items are shipped.

BIG CHECK COMING SOON?

why should it matter whether or not you are recieving a big check soon?

what did you do win the lottery or something?

i think reviewing this thread is the worst case of seller commitment ive ever seen on line since the great trade fiasco of 1999 when you could sell stuff on ebay for free and everyone was getting nothing in return for thier hard earned cash!

Dude you were paid by these people. these people were sent nothing....

why would you even try to use the defense of a big check coming soon?

you already had the money to ship everyones stuff so they should have already recived their stuff that they already paid for.....

I agree with you, in the respect that all these people paid for shipping and the money thing shouldn't have been an issue.

However, I've noticed that the people who actually bought stuff from Scott K. are handling this with a lot of patience, given the circumstances. Most of the people who have been making heated comments about ScottK are those who didn't even buy anything from the guy. I'm guessing you didn't buy anything from him. I could be wrong. I didn't buy anything from him.

My point being, you shouldn't be any more upset than somebody who is still waiting for their stuff. Those people are handling this ordeal very well, which is a credit to them.

Well, actually, those who bought stuff from him, such as me are rather frustrated and upset with the continued delays. We just arn't showing it.

The reason being, he still has our goods. He could just flat out not send them if he wanted to. Or destroy the items and send them to us all busted and broken. Basically now it is like a ransom situation.

I'm personally just to tired to get all "worked up".

I just want what I paid for, and hopefully I will receive it soon.

Wowzers! I must say I am happy to finally get this. The disc on Swordfish is pretty scratched up, the Vertical Limit looks to be water damaged, and he didn't have A Thin Red line. But hey you can't win them all, he did send a refund of $3 cash to cover The Thin Red Line.

Thank you ScottK, I will post follow-up feedback stating that you did send my items!

In ScottK's defense, I think he's shipping everything out by Priority Mail, now, to make up for the lateness. So, it isn't all that unreasonable that he may need additional funds to do so.

Actually I don't think it will work. At least it wouldn't work on my delinquent account. Once you get 3 or so complaints then they restrict certain access to your account. One restriction is that no new payments can be received...until all complaints are resolved.

Your mom dies. I'm pretty sure your boss will fire you if you dont call in and tell him why you didnt come in. Being upfront and honest in all your buisness actions is apreciated because it lets people know that your not simply making up an excuse when you do finaly come around to explain why you did not mail out what they bought in a timely manner. The people who bought stuff deserved a prompt reason for why they paid for stuff and did not recieve it on a timely basis. Is it wrong of them to expect such information? Are they so evil to buy stuff from people and simply want what they paid for?

I am glad people are getting their stuff finaly. No, I didnt buy anything from him. I'm glad he finaly responded and began shiping the stuff because it shows him to be an honest person to deal with. Maybe not the most responsible person, but honest at the very least.

Fuyukaze, I agree with some of what you're saying, but, the thing is: you can't compare digitpress to a job. Now, while it would be possible to make good money off of it, the thing is, if you're making money off of it, you're the boss, and only answer to yourself. Apples and oranges.

also, Tynstar, I thought the exact same thing when I read that!

Glad you got your items. To drop the dispute just log onto PAYPAL and go to "my summary". Towards the top it will say "You have an open dispute". Just click there and look for a CANCEL button. It will ask if the seller sent your item, gave you a refund, or you reached an alternate arrangement.

Check the box next to Seller sent items, then click the "cancel" button again. This will end the disput and send a confirmation e-mail to you and ScottK.

Hope this helps. -Ken

I'm sorry but I fail to see the difference. In on situation you are paid to perform a task or deliver goods, in the next your being paid to do the same thing. Making money or loosing money is simply up to the seller to decide. The buyer doesnt decide if the seller should turn a profit or a loss, they simply decide if they want to buy it or not. It's irrelavent if this is his main source of income because it's buisness. I for one understand people have busy lives, where things come up and happen. That doesnt excuse me from being upfront with those who I have pre-existing agreements with though. Its just life. People loose family members all the time. People have emergency surgery all the time. People also scam others all the time. Perhaps you buy it every time someone gives a sob story, perhaps not. This entire argument is irrelavent though and completely off the topic of the original posters intent to discover all who had bought stuff from ScottK and wanted to know if anyone else had recieved their stuff. To that degree it doesnt matter if we consider it a sob story used as an excuse or if we consider it the utmost truth. I will refrain from further coments as there is no need. I hope everyone gets their stuff, and I hope ScottK learns something from this entire experience.

the funny thing for me is... there are two Flintstones games on SNES... I want both... but the one I'm getting from ScottK I have no clue which one it is! But what does it matter as I want both. He simply listed it as Flintstones. I'm betting it's the Movie... but I've been dying to find out since mid April. :P

Oh well, I s'pose all's well that ends well 8-)

ScottK if you see this you might as well NOT tell me and let me find out my "surprise" game on my own time. In the past month though, I couldn't search for any SNES Flintstones game, obviously scared to buy a duplicate. That was the only downfall but... it can always wait. It'll always be on the 'bay ;)

Mr.FoodMonster

I think the missing items has to do with the fact that he had so many people order from him that he got requests for the same items, and never bothered to cross check to see what he actually had. I ended up not getting my DVDs, but I'm alright with that, I mainly wanted the NES games, and the DVDs were just extra. One of the games had a name written on the back and the label is a bit crappy, but I suppose thats what I get for not requesting a picture.

Just to clear this up, a lot of the time when I send items to some small towns, the zip code actually comes out to a nearby big city; this happens a lot with Los Angeles and Florida, I've noticed. So you shouldn't be scared, it's likely done by the USPS to simplify things.

There is a version of my address in detroit, only the zip is 48210. I wonder if the PO would be able to figure that one out.

Just to clear this up, a lot of the time when I send items to some small towns, the zip code actually comes out to a nearby big city; this happens a lot with Los Angeles and Florida, I've noticed. So you shouldn't be scared, it's likely done by the USPS to simplify things.

ScottK, have you shipped the remainder of the orders? Still haven't gotten anything or seen a DC# with my name or zip :(

Oh well, I'm sure he gave it his best shot, but it wasn't good enough. He knew two weeks ago I was leaving town on the 25th but he didn't send my items until Saturday. It's Wednesday, they ain't here and I'm gone tomorrow early a.m. Maybe the post office will forward them to my summer address, maybe the post office is just going to plop them on my front step and a kind neighbor will get them for me or maybe they'll just get stolen. Fortunately, my credit card company has given me my money back for this fiasco, so until I lay my hands on those items (and they aren't covered in maple syrup) I'm keeping the money.

Take care all, see you if I get net this summer.

sorry man. Judging from this thread, ScottK sent the items first to the people who made the most racket. You'll notice DrWily got his items in the 1st batch because he created this thread and "rallied this movement." I got my shit in the 2nd patch b/c I constantly replied and asked him to send my stuff, as did nikon and others who were also included in that 2nd batch.

I hope everyone gets their stuff. When things like this happen I find it best to shout than remain silent... who cares if you tell him 5, 6 times -- get your point across and they usually ship out faster.

His ebay account is now no more. No longer a registered user.

I've emailed him a couple of days ago, no response and no package(its been over 6 weeks).

Not looking good for me.

Man, sorry to hear. Wish you guys the best. I dunno... I get the premonition that after these two batches where he decided to make some good, that he just decided to ditch everything and make a run for it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's why I pestered him so constantly in this thread... I knew he'd send my stuff in the 2nd batch if I bugged him enough, not only to get my stuff but I had a bad feeling he wasn't going to follow through on EVERYONE.

Anyway hope I'm wrong. But that was and still is my gut feeling.

Now that I finally have my items and my Playstation system I received actually works after the long cleaning process, here are my thoughts on this entire situation:

I think ScottK obviously has some personal issues with staying organized. From how this deal went down it is clear that his problems are affecting his finances. (Notice my wording here. he doesn't have financial problems. His problems are affecting his finances. Which means he will get no pitty from me.)

Look at how many people received partial orders. ScottK came onto DigitalPress and sold a ton of items to us. Users here had spotted some of the items they had bought being sold on eBay a few weeks ago. ScottK seems to have sold items at multiple locations, and collected as much money as he could. Then he refunded those who paid the least for specific items. For instance he probobly sold my NES and Genesis on eBay and got more money for them. He keeps the profit from the better order, and then refunds me the amount I originally paid.

We all paid for our items including shipping. He had to wait to get a paycheck to ship our items? It is clear that he is just barely eeking by. People ask where the money went. Well he spent it, on rent, a car payment, booze, hookers, who knows. Whatever the case, he spent the money needed to ship our items and had to wait to get more money in order to ship out our orders.

This is irresponsible. It would seem ScottK took advantage of us all in order to get his bills paid. The real problem is that this doesn't get solved over night. This is a lifestyle issue. ScottK needs to be more responsible and learn how to handle life and his money better before he sells items over the internet.

ScottK has been avoiding confrontation, since he has done very little to communcate with us here at DigitalPress during this entire ordeal. He only sneaks on when he has good news to report. It is not hard to get on the internet if you don't have access to a computer. There are public libraries and internet cafe's. And I am sure he has atleast one friend that would let him use their computer to get access to the internet.

The users who are still awaiting their items are probobly going to have to wait, and will either get a refund, their ordered items, or nothing.

This situation was a scam and burn, but not in the same sense that the stickied topic classifies. This situation is more like, we paid ScottK to do our laundry. He takes them down to the laundrymat. However he thinks he can keep half of the money if he cuts the loads by washing everything together. And I think you know what happens when you put reds in with the whites...

I am assuming that people who received orders with missing items still paid inflated shipping costs. Meaning if LordNikon did not receive the Genesis or NES, the order still cost the same money to ship (on LordNikon's end) that it would have if it were included. I take it the extra shipping never was credited back to those buyers with missing items.

Actually his shipping on my order was originally quite reasonable, and he reimbursed the proper amount for the missing items. I can't speak for others since I have not seen the figures for their orders, but if something was wrong with the money they would have brought it up.

So far those who have received their orders, to the best of my knowledge got compensation for missing items.

Sure, I got money reimbursed for my Genesis, NES, and Ikari Warriors... but where the hell did this stuff go? I ordered it. Did it vanish into thin air? If I make a purchase I want to make sure that I have purchased that item and it is on its way. I shouldn't have to worry about it being sold to another customer. I payed him the money for the items.

ScottK shouldn't be able to come here and sell items to "take out a loan" from DigitalPress users when times get rough.

I just call it like I see it. I could be wrong on some of this stuff, however with the information I have in front of me, what I have written is the best conclusion I can make. Part of what I said is most likely very accurate, since there is no excuse for the lack of communication.

Most of the orders here have data stored right here on the forums in PM's or in the Buy/Sell forum. ScottK could have easily gotten on the internet from an alternative location and sorted all of this out. I want to believe that ScottK was a resposible seller. However this entire situation hasn't been resolved fast enough or clean enough to show this to be true. Some users still have not received their packages, and many orders seem to have missing items. This is fishy to say the least.

Nikon I agree with everything you've said. Scott's excuses just don't add up. He took us buyers not very seriously and he obviously wanted our money while he pretty much told us to go F ourselves.

He's shipped priority mail for me and everyone else, it appears. Don't know what is going on with your order... but what are the odds something fishy is NOT going on here, considering the seller. But I dunno.

Just an update.

Okay, something arrived at my Austin post office on May 30th, based on the confirmation number information. Of course, I'm not actually still in Austin so we'll see if it gets forwarded or not to my temporary Philadelphia address.

Coz, the line above means that is was scanned at the Post Office in Wheeler. So the parcel was dropped off at the PO and *someone* there send it along. However, since it hasn't been scanned again on-route is odd as they normally scan all Delivery Conf. parcels at every hub along the way. Don't know if this info helps, but at least it confirms that it's in the hands of the USPS right now...

Well after going from indiana to iowa it then went back east to PA and within a day arrived under my mailbox. There must be a distribution hub in Iowa ort something...But in any event, he sent mine media mail, which I'm too tired of this whole business to make a big deal out of, scottk also didn't use any kind of packaging to help insure the safe arrival of the nes decks I bought off him (despite using the box from a pack of bublle mailers to send em in)...although now they're here and they work, they need cleaning, but there's no maple syrup inside thankfully.

Saga continuing.

Package apparently arrived at my house on May 30th and a notice was left. My mail is forwarded from Austin to Abington, PA all summer so I was concerned that they had been trying to deliver it there. Now the usps site says my package is in Dallas which means it's either on its way to me in PA (if a valid forwarding notice is on file. I'm getting my other mail, so I hope it is) or it's on its way back to ScottK. He had assured me I'd receive it before I left town so I could avoid worrying about this. He had also assured me mine had been in the back of his vehicle and had been the very next package that would have gone out before the employee troubles happened and then he didn't send it until May 20th because he needed a big check so he could afford to send it priority mail. Which he didn't.

Is there anyone else out there still expecting closure on this or have most people's issues been resolved?
