A.) I knew a lot of people who were tournament capable with Ness in the last two games, and I don't see how anything has really changed.
B.) Although your recovery options with Ness and Lucas are somewhat limited, I think it's important to point out that not only do their ^+b moves deal more damage than maybe any other in the game (if you can body slam your opponent) but, thanks to Lucas' rope snake, he actually has TWO recovery options. Stuck between two walls and can't use ^+b? Lash onto the edge with the snake!
Every character has people who can use them well. I'm not saying that there aren't people who can use Ness or Lucas. But, the truth is, they are bad at recovering. Ness' recover was bad in the last game, but now there are characters like Pit, Metaknight, and R.O.B. who have insane recovers. I think Ness has great attacks but is gimped b/c of his terrible recover ability.

Anybody else of the opinion that Ike is compltely over-powered in terms of ridiculously strong damage-dealing character-pushing attacks...
...or am I just crazy?

Maybe. That's why he's my favorite character. :-D
Though, the offset being that he IS slow. I realized that when I tried to reach the 100-KO quotient in the Endless Brawl and I got gang-raped by five alloys while being unable to get my Smash attacks off. I went with Meta Knight instead and did that well enough. Yup, Ike, Meta Knight, and Pit are my trio of champions.
And now, a question: What's the fastest way to go about gaining coins for the Coin Launcher?

Online server's hammered today. Damn.
One thing I like about that Waluigi trophy is that if a Smash Ball appears, he'll grab it for you.

My question about the coins was not answered last time, but I've determined that simply playing through Classic and All-Star accumulates the most coins... I think.
Now, a new question: In the Subspace Emissary, how the hell do you turn bosses into trophies? I read that this was somehow possible, but I'm not sure how... are you just supposed to wait for a trophy stand to appear on the field and toss it at the boss when he has nigh health left? That... would be very taxing, to be sure.

Since this is the offical thread, I thought I would just add to it. I tried to play online with absolute zero luck. I can spectate, but nothing else. I am a huge Nintendo fan, but seriously this is no excuse. For as much as this game has been pushed back, they need to get the online think inching along. Servers full or not, Online gaming must be adressed for the Wii. For free I am not asking alot. Hell, I would take a laggy game than no game at all. Anyone else have this issue. Offline, I absolutely love the game...I just see that this game could have been even better...

There are three things you need to know to trophy stand a boss.
1. Trophy stands do appear on boss stages, but they appear more commonly the higher the difficulty is set. On Easy, you'll have to wait almost forever for a stand. On Intense, they're most common.
2. You can only get a trophy stand if you're actually playing SSE. They don't appear in Boss Battle mode at the stadium. That means if there's a level that comes before the boss, you have to play through the level for every attempt you make at trophying a boss.
3. To trophy a boss, you need to weaken it first. ie take off most of his HP.
Good luck. I haven't done much of this myself, but I hear from the experts that you'd better use a fast faller when you go after Meta Ridley's trophy. When he's weak he doesn't hover over the Blue Falcon, he stands on the side of the screen. So the trophy will drop off the bottom of the screen if you don't have a fast faller, like a Fox or something.

Anyone else have this issue
I tried about an hour ago and it was pretty lousy. I'll try again in a minute. It was working well for me earlier today too.

I tried getting online again, and I got a 86420 error. I know that this is a NAT issue with my router, but I suck at fixing these things. :) Looks like I will be playing less Wii stuff online :(

What ports should be forwarded to clear up NAT problems, I wonder?
I already have the 360 in the DMZ.

i agree with the crappy online idea.. it seems like mario kart ds al over again. dont they understand that this method does NOT work well for gamers?
i dont want to be stuck with basic brawl.. i personally hate timed matches.
ill have to try connecting via friend code, see if that's better.

If you eat a bob-omb as Dedede, he gives off a disgusted face.
Wario farts really hard if he eats a bomb-box

I just got all of the songs, and the one song from Melee that I was specifically looking for was not ported over. I am referring to Fourside. It seems like almost every other song from Melee was brought over. For as many obscure songs as there are, there are almost none from Earthbound. Just one from Melee and two more that apparently originated in "Mother".
The problem with this game is that there is so much content that when it's lacking even something small like that it is a little disappointing.

I also wanted more Earthbound songs, but at least there are those couple Mother songs.
My small disappointment was that they didn't bring over my favorite Melee level, the Fountain of Dreams. It's like the perfect level. I know Battlefield is similar, but it's so boring.

I'd like to BUMP this with a somewhat minor question: I heard that you obtain the Hocotate Ship (also known as Olimar's rocket) in the Subspace Emissary somehow? How the crap do you do that?!

Sotenga- According to the smash brothers website you acquire Hocotate Ship by opening a box in the Subspace Emissary stage "Outer Ancient Ruins."
