Cauterize, just use a hair dryer to heat the sticker up which

Today I got:

N64 system manual
PS2 Box
Dreamcast Box
Perfect Dark Box and Manual
F-Zero X Box and Manual
2 random sport manuals for SNES

All for FREE. My friend was cleaning out his closet, and he was like, "Don't you collect games, and their boxes?" So he gave them to me all for free!

Edit:Also, just now, I bought a Dreamcast with all the hookups, 2 controllers, and 4 games: NFL 2K1, Virtua Tennis, Soul Calibur, and some other game, that I can't think of right now. The only games I wanted were Soul Calibur, and Virtua Tennis. I'm just happy I got a Dreamcast! It was all for 30 dollars shipped.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology (PS2) - new, $47.95AU

I actually traded in 6 games (random crap) and got $37.95 for all of them so I essentially only paid $10 for SFAA. :)

And then to top it all off I found $20 on the ground! :D

The old games were as marked. When the guy in Gamestation was putting the cartridge into the Spiderman case, I pointed out the box was for the Master System version and he had the Mega Drive cartridge out. He gave me a blank look then handed the case to the manager to sort out. Then they rang it up as £9.97, which is a random number. I pointed out their mistake (again) and he put it right at £6.98.

Mario Kart DS was £18 from Amazon. They sent me an apology email yesterday morning saying it was going to be another 4-6 weeks. Then when I got home in the evening, I had another email saying it had been sent off, and it came today.

Age of Empires is brand new and sealed. It cost me 5 blank CD-Rs. :) My friend bought it a while ago then found out his computer isn't good enough for it. So instead of taking it back, still sealed, he gave it to me for almost free.

I also got my Mega Drive 1 RGB Scart cable from ChaoticJelly today.:)

Theyre so horrible arent they!?

A good day for me, 3 more PAL titles i needed from ebay, all complete
another SMS title i needed taking the count down to a ridiculously low number now :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/purcahses002Custom.jpg

Went to a blockbuster after posting some parcels later and got there jsut in time when some newely traded PS1 titles were in.
They sell them all off at 99p regardless of the title!
The Ape Esacpe is the limited Rental only Not For Resale copy :)
Seriously though, they pay 50p trade for them, who wants to flog a ps2 title that cheap.... Then i realised! I can dump all the shitty no value spare sports games i get on them :)

I haven't played it yet but from the description on the back it sounds interesting. I'll give it a try tonight. I picked it up at video store that was selling it's former rental games. They had about 30 other boxed SNES games but prices were $5 to $10 and I wasn't looking to spend that much.

Anyway today I picked these up:

Genesis:
Cool Spot
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
$2 each both complete

N64:
Mortal Kombat 4 - $5

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds guide - $1

Some Megadrive games arrived today :) Ill post pics later, however a better find for me :)

If anyone read my earlier post this week i found a PS2 Chipped for £15... However it was buggered and i ended up breaking my PS2 in the process...
Well i took another look earlier today and managed to fix the Chipped PS2 using the PS2 CD Drive from my existing PS2 and managed to salvage a working PS2 :D

So now i finally have a Chipped PS2 combined with my HDLoader! The PS2 world is now all mine

Passed by some Garage Sales today and found nothing .

Flea Market..
I found a lot of stuff but did I buy it,NO..
...Two vendors had a ton of video game stuff but neither was negotiable on their high prices.
...One vendor who I know had a good load of stuff he brought hoping I'd buy the lot,but his stuck on prices are back to when the stuff came out...His,words "well it cost this much back then so I want to sell it for that much $$"
He sold all of it for $250.00 to a couple who buys up all the vintage toys(known re-sellers as told to me)...
That blew my mind as the lot was nowhere worth $250.00 for used common stuff..(I thoughouly looked through it all)..
I found out later that this couple was buying up every video game/system they could find and at the sellers high prices...no negotiating..
Another vendor I know laughed as he told me he sold them some games at a very high price..

This was all stuff I passed up..the asking prices were too much for me to even consider..
It was like this couple was mopping up behind me.

I like RC Vehicles..
One guy had so many different types(used) it's like he had bought out someone's collection..

Everywhere I've posted that people kept asking the same question.

Well, I was too lazy to post last week's finds so I'll post this week's and last week's together:

Last Week:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/SonicGT/78aWeb.jpg

The Nintendo Powers were ten cents each, so I bought 20 with $2.00. The Banjo-Kazooie guide was a buck. I bought PSIII on EBay for $18.01 including shipping. I bet I'll find a duplicate and regret the price :) . The GB game is Final Fantasy Legend III and the GBA game SMAdv4. Both were $3.00. Finally, I got Earth Defense Force (the SNES game) for a single dollar.

This Week:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/SonicGT/715aWeb.jpg

The GBA games were each $8.00 and were all complete. The PS1 games were $14 total. The Game Boy Pocket was $3.00 and the DOS copy of After Burner was $1.00.

Oh, and the cute penguin was $2.00 :P .

I bought a woodgrain 4 switch VCS for $15 today with 5 commons. Later in the day, I bought a woodgrain 4 switch VCS with 25 games for $30. The kicker is, this particular VCS came with a copy of Tooth Protectors, with instructions :P. Carey85 ftw...

lots of good stuff for me:

at my birthday I watched the first tmnt movie so I was kinda in the mood for tmnt stuff when I hit the thrifts the next day so I grabbed:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/tmnt.jpg
relatively hard to find tmnt videos, a carrying case
a copy of duck tales for 4$, whats odd is the only nes games i've found the last few weeks is ducktales (this would be the third copy) an ac adaptor for the sms and one for a model 2 genesis, since someone here on dp screwed me on a deal for a COMPLETE sms and sent me a genesis 2 ac (that doesn't work with it) this now completes my sms, and i have yet another spare ac, a 6 button genesis controller i've neve rseen before . my roomate said nba jam tourney edition was one of his favorates so I grabbed it for 2$, the guide was a buck and the very white chunli model kit was also a buck the two power ranger figures are hard to find and go for a few bucks on egay.

next stop salvation army:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/diablo2.jpg
the girl didn't know what to ring them up as so she just gave me the pile for 5$ total, all are complete and i've always wanted to play diablo 2 but too cheap to pay for it ;-) space quest 5 is sealed and the sim-collection is aparently a chinese pirate, very amusing piece to my collection since i enjoy the SIM-series. good haul there for the price, I should have grabbed the shitty fps games they had (quake arena half life and call of doody)

next stop another thrift:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/dollarnp.jpg
this one had a shitton of video game magazines, mostly crappy xbawks magazines with demo disks for 8$ freakin dollars (FOR A MAGAZINE?!) anywho the np's were only 1$ each and 2 of which are the 200th issue complete with classic nes stickers and a really nice poster, couldn't pass those up for the price. (I might even hang up the poster!)

moving along, my roomate works at a gamestore and they were pennying out guides so he grabbed me a few for free:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/freeguides.jpg
nothing super great but free.
the next day they were no joke getting rid of ALL the pre-owned pc games so I got all these for the phat price of free:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/freepcgames.jpg
he also got a shitton of pc games that he'll play and toss my way so overall pretty good, the real gems in the pile are an expansion for diablo 2 (which i just got so yay) a complete copy of sims 2 and age of empire, plus a ton of other games i've never heard of (still havn't had time to play them)

phew and thats it :-)

I got a nice lot today.

A boxed Mega Drive 2 in very good condition for £4.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/fibblewith/Picture132.jpg

Then I saw a few Master System games and realised there was a whole table of them. Some of them had Gamestation £1.99 BOGOF stickers on them, so I was thinking they'd be selling them for a profit. They were actually £1 each, or £35 for the lot. :D:D And that included the boxed console. There are 44 or 45 games but I think one of the boxes has no cartridge. I've already got seven of these, which isn't bad.

Mostly current gen stuff, visited family this past week and scored some stuff while out. Was very happy with my minty pawn shop Gunstar Heroes (same place was selling Super R-Type, cart only, for $15, so I think it was a good deal). The Turbo was via Craigslist...wanted one for years, but really didn't want to pay ebay prices + shipping.

Unfortunately for my bank account, the music purchases were even greater...

Went to my casual pawn shop and discovered they once again decided to jump their prices. games were:
NES/SNES/GEN - $3 each
N64/PS1 - $5 each
Everything else, just plain overpriced so it wasn't much of a letdown because most of it were either games I own already or sports titles that are more common than looking myself in the mirror each morning. But after looking through things for 15min and about to leave I found Hunter: The Reckoning for $5 used but with all the booklets, supurb disc and really nice condition case. One of my friends got this game when it came out in '02 and I saw it a few times thinking it was cool and for $5, why not pick it up. I hope by next week they change their prices again, like their $0.10 per Genesis, $0.50 per SNES :P

Don't know if the toploader nes and final fantasy II count as a find, since I had been missing both for the past 3 years when my mom decided to "clean out" my room while I was at college. Which translates into "tossing all my old school stuff in the attic, and throwing away the paper boxes and manuals. Battery backup still works, on the FF II. The Shining force came from Rhino's, and I got the Beatmania on sale at Rhino's for 29.99. It was 59.99 everywhere else, so I picked it up. Shadow Hearts from a pawn shop- $10. Boxed new copy of Star Ocean from another collector in exchange for Resident evil 3 on Gamecube. Vampire night complete from Game Exchange, 44.99. (yeah expensive, but I can't find it anywhere with the box and gun) The SNES cartridge holder was given to me by a friend. She was throwing away her ex-boyfriends stuff, and asked me if I wanted anything. Unfortuanly the only other stuff was a defective SNES, a bunch of Maddens, and Super Mario Kart. Told her she could toss the maddens. :D And a free copy of Mario Kart isnt bad, but it needed serious cleaning.

Last but not least, Samurai Spirits. One of my friends sold me that for $20. Now, if I can just find a system....

BX is running a sale on games; all games $20 and under are 75% off, so all of this stuff was between $1.50-$5 new:
http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/60/omgxc9.th.jpg (http://img240.imageshack.us/my.php?image=omgxc9.jpg)
Full breakdown/writeup (http://www.roushimsx.com/wp/?p=149) is on my blog, but needless to say, I think I made out alright.

I'd only intended to buy Cold Winter, but once I found out about the sale I decided to load up. May go back and pick up a few more games tomorrow if anything is left.

roushimsx: BX? What company is that and can you order online? That's a pretty cool deal because I love new. :)

Cool finds RadiantSvgun. I've never seen that Vampire Night, but then again I'm not a modern guy by far. Which sastem is the Samurai Spirits for? It looks nifty. :)

Thats NEO GEO baby! I've been wanting one for years! Thats the JP cart. Too bad I haven't found a system yet. Vampire night is the hardest to find PS2 light gun game in a box according to the guide. I bought it outta rarity, but its actually worth every penny.

Super Monaco GP (Gen, Boxed), complete with water and sun damaged insert- $2
Bubble Bobble (NES, Loose)- $1
Bubble Bobble (NES, Loose)- $2

Yup, I found two loose NES Bubble Bobbles in the same place within a week of each other. I gave one to my brother, and the other is up for sale.

They let me take the manual for Skitchin too as i needed it and considerign im their best retro customer and know the manager (hell i have him on my MSN) they let me take it :)

This is how i aqquire new games instead of paying full price...
Buy up consoles dirt cheap at boot sales then trade them in. Makes sense really... Id been looking to get hold of Tales of Eternia for a while :)

Street Fighter Alpha 2 was £2 from Computer Exchange, so was the Ren & Stimpy which is a treat/present for my girlfriend :)

All in all, i only spent £2.80 + the ebay stuff :) sorted :)

:eek 2: That makes me tempted to visit all the GameStops & EBgames on Friday and Saturday...

The shop I went to is mostly over price with the old games ($20 cartridge only for most Genesis games!). :(

I only paid $5 for Viewpoint and about $12 for Warhawk. I think I spend a little too much on Warhawk, but after playing Warhawk it was worth it. :)

Viewpoint was just meh. The Neo-Geo arcade version was sooo much better than the PSX version. But hey, I just paied five bucks for a R7 so that was good enough.
