The shop I went to is mostly over price with the old games ($20 cartridge only for most Genesis games!). :(

I only paid $5 for Viewpoint and about $12 for Warhawk. I think I spend a little too much on Warhawk, but after playing Warhawk it was worth it. :)

Viewpoint was just meh. The Neo-Geo arcade version was sooo much better than the PSX version. But hey, I just paied five bucks for a R7 so that was good enough.

Ya, awesome times. :D

This is more than a find. There is a very good story that goes with this but I always have a hard time putting my thoughts/feelings into words. I'll put some work into it & I may tell the story another day.

I got all of this for $30 from a small shop who used to rent these out.

I bought Microcosm and Kid Klown in Crazy Chase for £5 in one transaction. Then I got the other four games for £4 in another transaction. £9 total. I had a chat with the people there about Mega Drive games. They had Streets of Rage 3, so I asked how much it was. The guy rang it up as £29.99 and said "Woah! It must be really rare or something." I said it was just in high demand, then pointed out a few rare games like Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel and The Death and Return of Superman.

Went to Circuit City yesterday and bought NCAA Football 2007 for the seXBOX. Apparently the free strategy guide was while supplies last, and they ran out in less than two days. But what really pissed me off was when I went to take off the bottom seal, it took the NCAA hologram sticker off!

I can answer this for you Cauterize. Dino Riki is a vertical scrolling shmup, with a jump command thrown in. It's a pretty average game, and the speed-up system and jumping can be incredibly frustrating (pletny of places to die from a missed jump). Coming from Hudson Soft, I expected more.

Thrift:

Mario Andretti Racing- Gen CIB
NHL '95- Gen Boxed
ESPN Sunday Night NFL- Gen CIB
Fifa Soccer 95- Gen CIB

$1 each, Fifa and NHL have been there for a couple months but I always figured they would be 2 or 3 dollars. Asked today, and they were only $1.

And then, and the GoodWill, these four loose Game Gear games:

Sonic the Hedgehog
Clutch Hitter
Prince of Persia
Defenders of Oasis

$1 for all! :D

I got a major boost to my Virtual Boy collection today from a local shop:

VB system (broken internally, but I needed the stand so I bought it anyway
Red Alarm (complete)
Nester's Funky Bowling (complete)
Galactic Pinball (complete)

$70 for everything.

And there was a lot more that I left behind: one boxed VB, two complete complete copies of Wario Land and more. I've been bitching about the dearth of VB finds in the wild for years now suddenly it all comes up with a vengeance!

I wouldn't call it "neat". It's dusty, and even worse, the games aren't in alphabetical order. x_x I'm a very pedantic perfectionist, and if I can't do something right it really annoys me. That doesn't necessarily mean I always do things perfectly. It just means I'm not satisfied unless it's perfect (In my eyes).

I'm off to do my weekly rearranging. I seem to always be moving my games around. LOL

Those are some great PC finds!

I love the Might and Magic series, espicially what you have there. I love that Clouds and Darkside combine.

All I got to day was Resident Evil PS1 Plastic Longbox.

The cardboard cover is coming off a bit, what's the best way to put that back on? I was thinking a thin layer of super glue on the plastic.

Ya, just around the time we started that Classic Computing forum too. It's nice to find some oldies, the biggest 2 games I'm happy about are the Welltris and Tetris Classic. If anyone wants to try them out I'm sure I can assist.

Also, looks like a bunch of other people are hitting some big bulk buys that are pretty nice. Hope the streak of good finds stays, I enjoy seeing what's poping up in people's hands. Major ups to starsoldier1. :D

Wow! @_@
I did great today. I went to a local flea market and dug through a box of colecovision and atari 2600 games. I managed to snag the following for $.50 each:

Quest for Quintana Roo for Colecovision R5
Artillery Duel for Colecovision R5
Sir Lancelot for Colecovision R6
Chuck Norris Superkicks for Colecovision R5
Tomarc the Barbarian for Colecovision R7

Then here's the cool part. I was looking through a box of Atari 2600 games at another booth and there it was, looking at me: Glib. I vaguely remembered that it was rare and bought it on instinct. I also got Attack of the Mutant Camels with it.(on another instinct that it would be rare)
So my first R8! Glib. :D :D :D
And I got it for a dollar. And Attack of the Mutant Camels was a R6. It was a dollar also. I'm stunned I could find a R8 in what has been one of the worst places to find games. Trust me it's a miracle for such a rare find to be in the Waco flea market (I also saw Ghouls N Ghosts at the flea market but we really didn't recognize each other)
I'll also try to post pictures of my first R8, Glib!

Whoops, forgot about these 4 NES titles I got for the very low price of free last week. My sisters boyfriend had some left over from his collection.

I got my DS Lite today. :D
Finally I get to play my DS titles, like Castlevania and Bust-A-Move! I picked it up at Best Buy due to the news that the DS Lites alternative colored editions aren't going to be released for a good while (black) and they aren't doing the light blue or navy, so I'm settling with the white one.

Got a few more games at the BX today (75% off on games $20 and under is still going on):

http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/4364/1004613ix0.th.jpg (http://img60.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1004613ix0.jpg)

Eh, for $5 a pop, I figured a few of them were worth a try. Urbz I mainly got for the 720p action (already have the PS2 version), King Kong I picked up because it's a Michael Ancel game (already have the PS2 version...but I'll buy any version of anything he does. ever), and despite thinking that Timesplitters 2 was a piece of shit, people have assured me that Future Perfect is actually good for a change.

KoF Neowave...I've heard negative things about...but it's KoF and it can't be as bad as 2001 and 2002. Brothers in Arms EiB is supposed to be pretty good (as is the first one) outside of having shitty AI (it wouldn't be a Gearbox game without crappy AI!).

Urban Reign is supposed to be really fucking hard, but we'll see how well it stacks up to Spikeout Battle Street :)

So yea, not a bad haul for $30 (new!). I think I've picked up about 40 games or so from the BX during the 75% off sale and I'm pretty much tapped out, but I'll check it again tomorrow after they get new stuff in.

another day thrifting:

at the regular thrift store I found a "not for resale" jewel cd as well as a few random toys, a millenium falcon for 2$ a superman jet from jla for 2 and a transforming power ranger for 2$, as well as one of those kid versions of spidey

I then wandered off to the local savers which just got a new shipment of cds and the like and I picked up:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/celine.jpg

note the copy of syberia 2 in there a game i've wanted to try since i got the xbawks version a few months ago.

I also picked up a dreamcast gameshark (going to test it out later) and a copy of a genesis game i've nver seen before dynamite duke, i've seen gameplay shots before but this is the first time i've ever seen the box art. happily it was complete for 4$ can't complain. also grabbed a master megatron complete with his stupid force chip thing missing a few little parts for 3$, also grabbed a cheap mariah carey dvd with videos and stuff for 5$,overall a good day here's a few pics:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/mastermegs.jpg

and my roomate came through again with a stack of strategy guides from work:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/quake4.jpg
not bad for free , he also tossed in some music cd for some terrible looking anime (ew!) game, but again free is good.

and on a side note, 500 posts wooohoo!

roushimsx: BX? What company is that and can you order online? That's a pretty cool deal because I love new. :)

The Base Exchange is a store on Air Force Bases (Army and Marines have Post Exchanges and the Navy has Naval Exchanges...or some such!) run by AAFES. For active duty/reserves/dependents/retirees/etc, it's an awesome place to shop...no tax, price match anywhere, etc. I love 'em :)

Also, here's another 75% off haul from there:

Ruff Trigger was $3.75 or else I probably would have passed on it :) I think everything else was $5.
