SON OF A BITCH! O_O

Ultima 1-6 Collection complete?! That thing goes for $50 or more on EBAY! Ultima VIII: Pagan doesn't really go for more than $15, I'm afraid. The one you got is the first real edition (which included the map and token), the second one (which I'm eBaying with a CD only version of Ultima 1-6 and is a sort of greatest hits variant which only comes with a CD and generic manual) goes for $5 if the seller's lucky.

Jesus. You lucky bloke. *jealous*

I'll have my finds later in the day.

Raiden Project JP PSX Complete (w/o spine card)
Thunder Storm FX JP Mega CD Complete (w/o spine card).

Total: $33 with shipping from the UK (Note: Half the price was for the shipping).

Off-Topic:

http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/4141/picture011ld9.jpg

This sticker was on the disc of my copy of Thunder Storm FX. Is it one of those stickers that Japanese importers put on to proof that it's a real copy and not a bootleg?

I try to make the photo as clear as possible.

Scored a complete (with soundtrack) copy of Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne at EB for $44. Not the best price I know, but considering the prices a complte copy is going for on ebay I didn't do too bad.

From the seller who sold me those boxed LCD games last week:
Star Office 7 sealed: $1 o_O
Star Tracks II (CD): $1 (Haha, I got Star Tracks I a few weeks ago, found out about part two, and was thinking of buying this for completeness' sake!)
Star Trek: The Motion Picture - 20th Anniversary Edition (OST + Inside Star Trek) (CD) - $1
Star Trek IV Original Soundtrack (CD) - $1
The Cardinal: The Classic Film Music of Jerome Moross (2CD) ($1)
Cabal (NES) Box, manual, cart sleeve: Free
Contra (NES) Box, manual, cart sleeve: FREE (Ironic. I sold a loose Contra a week ago. I should've waited.)
Actually, this seller had a ton of movie scores, including Dances With Wolves and Chariots of Fire. Odd.

From a guy who's had boxed N64 games for weeks and won't sell them to me for less than $20 each:
Kitaro - Mandala (CD): $1 (This is my third CD. Good newage/trippy artist.)

From a random guy who brought games for once:
Zork Zero (Macintosh) boxed, box a bit crushed but everyting else mint - $2
Spider Invasion (Atari Personal Computer/Commodore Vic-20/TI99/4 or TI99/4A) sealed - $1

From a seller that usually brings a ton of CDs:
Outpost (Sierra CD) - $1
Sonia Dada - Test Pattern (CD+DVD) - $2 (The case is made of cardboard... and the DVD holder part is broken. Blargh.)

From a random seller:
Gran Turismo GH double CD case + manuals - .50
The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death double CD case + insert - .50
(I got these two to replace a few double-CD cases I have; most notably D-2, which I bought on monday.)

One of my usual sellers had a few things I wanted, but he did not want to back down on his prices. He wanted $10 for a complete Phantasmagoria 7CD set - I was offering $10 for the set, a Genesis Power Base Converter, and a manual for I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream (PC). He wouldn't budge so I left the place. Maybe he'll reconsider next saturday when I see him in his booth.

I got about 70 boxed/complete NES games that I needed the boxes for from a forum member yesterday. Getting all the boxes seems to be a pretty big priority to me at the moment. Currently sitting on abour 420 boxed/complete games for my complete collection:

And I got a boxed copy of Galaxy Force for the SMS today. Puts me at 7 more games to go for a complete collection :)

Went to a different pawn shop today that was a bit out of my way but somewhat worth it.

Super Nintendo:
Radical Psycho Machine Racing
Boxing Legends of the Ring
Super Mario World
Hole in One Golf
-> All loose and $1 each.

Nintendo:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (L $1)

Saturn:
Memory Card Plus (L $1)

Been wanting Boxing Legends for awhile but didn't want to pay more than $1 due to it being sports and what not, and never heard of that Interplay racing game. As a classic Interplay fan I had to pick it up. The other 3 games I already own and most likely will be resold with a bunch of N64 titles I have too that are duplicates.

On a side note though, is there something special that needs to be done with the memory card? I plugged it into my Saturn and nothing, the system memory control option on startup didn't detect it and I know it was plugged in. I have another official Saturn card that works 100% fine but this thing just doesn't want to show up. Is it screwed up or what? It's not a modded Saturn BTW.

Today's loot:

* Lost In Time (DOS, big box) sealed - $2.50
* Crisis In The Kremlin (DOS) sealed, big box - $2.50 (I actually had to haggle for these two games, I was asked $8 but offered $5, in the end I won out.)

* 5 more CDs from the $1 a bag place. They had a ton of stuff but I was beaten to the punch, half the crap they had was taken when I went back. The only thing of interest there was the GERMAN VERSION of The Last Unicorn's Original Soundtrack! The case is all beat up but the CD is mint! Woo!

* Phantasmagoria 1 (PCCD, seven CDs in a binder+manual) - $3.
* Sega Genesis Power Base Converter - $2!

* Mummy - Tomb Of The Pharaoh (CD in jewelcase) + Frankenstein - Through The Eyes of The Monster Manual = $1. Okay, I smuggled the Manual into the game. :P Still, I already had the CD, it's not like the seller minded.
* Keiko Matsui - Under Northern Lights - $1. Seemed interesting, so why not.
* Boomerang - Cartoon Network (2CD) - $1! This is a promotional two-disc set with a ton of old Hanna-Barbera intro theme songs and incidental music.

* Master of Magic (Microprose PC CD game, boxed, apparently complete) - $1 (the floppy version went for $60 last week! o_O)

And from one vendor, all of this:
* Ninja Gaiden (PC Version, boxed) - $2
* Space Quest V (5 floppy disks) - $1

And the kicker...
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 1 - The Tomorrow People
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 2 - Return To Weapon X
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 3 - World Tour
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 4 - Hellfire & Brimstone
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 6 - Return Of The King
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 9 - The Tempest
* Ultimate X-Men Volume 10 - Cry Wolf
* Uncanny X-Men Volume 1 - Hope (collects Uncanny X-Men #410-415)
* Ultimate Marvel Teamup (Volume 1?)
* Diablo II Expansion Set: Lord Of Destruction Prima Strategy Guide
* Starcraft Prima Strategy Guide
* Starcraft: Brood War Prima Strategy Guide
* Bored Of The Rings (paperback book)

All that? $8!

And tomorrow I may return to look for some Microsoft certification books that were on sale at $2 each. Depending on how much they go for on eBay, 'course. ;P

Earlier This Week

I was looking to expand my small PS2 collection with some old-school type games. Picked up Metal Slug 4 & 5 new for $19.99, and Neo Contra used for $8.99

This Sunday

Good stuff at the flea market :D

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/6098/im000415hn9.jpg

Mighty Final Fight and Ogre Battle 64, both about as mint as you can get with loose carts, $10 for both.

Battle Arena Toshiden 3, Destrega, and Brave Fencer Musashi, all three complete for $10.

Actually, I have a question. Is Musashi only a 1 disc game? Is the second disc that is stated on the back just the FF VIII demo (which it does have btw)?

i really wish i had a picture for this one, but i forgot to take my camera last night.

i found a 1 slot Neo Geo MVS cabinet on craigslist for $179. i wanted it, but didn't really have the cash for it, nor do i have room for anything like it. so i called up my good pal spoon, and since he just moved into a house, he has someplace to put thing, and he definitely wanted it.

so we went and got it last night. the cabinet itself is BEAUTIFUL. near perfect condition. the monitor is also near perfect, very sharp. the thing obviously did not get much use. the cartidge inside it was "Last Resort" which is a 2d shooter a la r-type.

good times.

havn't been to the thrifts in awhile so I checked em out and found a few good things:

<img src ="http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/segacd.jpg">

the sega cd was 10$ ,it was pretty dirty but I got it home and it worked perfectly! even had a copy of sega classics inside, (this is for sale or trade if anyone wants it..I already have a sega cd)
the part that amuses me most is the save ram is still in tact, I figured out what most of the saves were from but can anyone figure them all out?:
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/segacdsave.jpg

the tekken figures were 1.00 in a large bag with some star wars figures and transformers (yay for grimlock)
the gg bag was 6$ waaay overpriced, but thats what i get for not looking at the price before i buy stuff ;-)
oh and a dc web browser for 2$, already had one but it was cheap enough to not leave behind ;-)

eBay Jap MD games, cheapish...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0192_IMGCustom-1.jpg

My girlfriend gave me her PreOrder Nintendogs plush :) Thank you Christie :)
It has a Japanese label on it, ive been trying to find out if any more are avaliable but im having no luck searching for them online.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0193_IMGCustom-1.jpg

Its great when you sort out your wallet... You find you have actually been carrying £10 of Gift Vouchers for Virgin Megastores for nearly half a year... I decided to get Tokobot, was £9.99 after the voucher ;)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0194_IMGCustom-1.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0196_IMGCustom-1.jpg

After trading in a NES and Megadrive to Gamestation and gettign a Credit voucher for £34 @_@ i decided to treat myself.
(Yup, UKers, Gamestation have upped the trade in prices!!! You now get £24 trade for a NES and £10 for a MD2)

Total cost for the 3 pics above? £Zero, i used my Voucher and still have £13 left on it! Considering there is the buy one get one free on retro, ive done pretty well here!

Also i met someone trading in Guardian Heroes, i started talking to him and he told me he was offered £10 for it (cash)
He said he would rather sell it to me for £8 as he knew it would be going to a good home! :D:D:D:D I now have a new retro collecting friend locally :) The creepy part is, we have the same name, we are both working towards a career in the multimedia business and we both love retro games :D

Car boot sale finds from Sunday!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0197_IMGCustom-1.jpg

£20... Not too bad, im trading in the NES later today to get myself a £24 credit voucher, and most of the games ended up on my eBay shop apart from Lolo 2 and the box + manual for the Tennis game :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0198_IMGCustom.jpg

£5, Ive kept Bomberman Hero, the rest go to the usual places :)
This did come with a cart only Tiggers Honey Hunt, however considering i have a complete copy and also the fact i was at the boot sale with the disney obsessed girlfriend, it was somewhat 'stolen'

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0202_IMGCustom.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0203_IMGCustom.jpg

Approx £12 for all these

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0204_IMGCustom.jpg

£5 for SMS, 50p for the Home Alone Box + Manual & Ariel Cart

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0199_IMGCustom.jpg

As i also trawl the boot sales with my Dad, we look out for each other... He scored for me the Complete Burgertime Deluxe for Gb, needless to say i was over the moon with this :)
Mario clock was 50p (already had one, so its now on my shop)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/101-0200_IMGCustom.jpg

Point Blank + Gun, £2, Shopped, Sold already :P
Resident Evil 2, Minty, £1
Jungle Book Dance Set £1.50, a present from Christie as she only wanted the game. Whereas i had the game without the offical mat in the box :) thank youuuuu!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0201_IMGCustom.jpg

An absolutely gorgeous Mega CD Display case.
I have never seen or heard of these before... Comes with plastic CD holders inside on a ringbinder.. More photos on request if anyone is interested in looking at it
Only problem is i seem to have misplaced my unboxed Mega CD Games... Luckly they were only Dune and NHL Hockey

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0207_IMGCustom.jpg

25p GB games
£1 Pocket Pikachu
25p Offical memory Cards

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/finds/102-0205_IMGCustom.jpg

Handhelds between £1 and 50p

however, upon opening the one in its box... i was blessed with this.... @_@

Out to the flea market today, nothing really there but I did manage to find what I was looking for...

NES - AC Adapter
NES - RF Switch
NES - NES Control Pad (x2)

All in a big plastic bag that the seller wanted $10 for, I talked him down to $7. If it was for me I would have left it there but my girlfriend misplaced her NES AC adapter and RF switch in the move back to her dorm. I have spare RF switches but not AC adapters at the present time. As I was walking away from the seller's lot I noticed a few loose Sega Genesis Model 2 AC adapters - would have thrown them in the bag before I asked how much if I had seen them earlier. Oh well.

The prongs on the adapter were bent up somewhat severely (usually a bad sign) but after straightening them, amazing, it works fine. RF box also shows signs of the plug being chewed on at one point... geez, what the hell is with people. LOL

Todays finds consist of a bare bones model Genny for $3.19 at the salvation army. I also paid $2.19 for one controller for it, and turned down two others for the same price (wtf @ pricing controllers seperate, and so high!). I figured I'd just pay the $5 for the system and controller.

I have only seen 2 cib C64 systems, in my years of collecting, one at a flea market, which i bought for somewhere between $10-15, and the one that Joe has in his store. But I have still yet to see any of the drives or games in the wild.
