Default Turbo Express AC Adapter Substitute

Decide to save my batteries and find an AC source to power my TurboExpress. Lacking the official AC adaptor, I went online and scavenged through boxes to find one close to it ratings.

    Here's the Turbo Express:
    Input: 120V AC 60HZ 13W
    Output: 7V DC 700mA

The closest I could find are those for the game gear and sega genesis model 2.
    Their respective ratings are:
    Input: 120V AC 60HZ 14W
    Output: 10V DC 850mA

    Input: 120V AC 60HZ 18W
    Output: 9V DC 1200mA

I'm worried whether the extra voltage will do damage to the TurboExpress as I'm not an expert electrician. If you think neither are suitable, what other AC adapters fit into the TurboExpress' rating.

This one is fairly close, it has a 7.5 VDC 1Amp setting http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

I have 2 of these, a 800mA and 1200mA with a bunch of tips, they come in
handy for a lot of your gizmos. Most DC devices will never have a problem if you supply them with power that is pretty close to their original needs.

Isn't the bigger problem the odd sized pin (big) that plugs into the console???

Why not use NiMH rechargeables? I bought a pile of Eveready 2500mAh NiMHs that I use in my TurboExpress, Lynx and Game Gear, and they're great - I get a solid 4+ hours on the TE on a charge, and since I always have six in the charger, I'm never down for longer than it takes to swap out for another set more. It's nice not to be tethered to a wall plug, too!
