As for Ys IV....You can use the English patch for the PC-E version to at least get the text translated in the game. I have it and love it. Once again though, if you are asking them to bring over the PS2 remake of IV (which, technically, is a remake of the SFC Mask of the Sun NOT the PC-E Dawn of Ys)....hmmm..trust me...you dont want it lol
I meant remaking III and IV for the DS, then bringing it to the states.

Interesting reading those legends. Reminds me of the third book of the Prydain Chronicles (Castle of Lyr, I think it was called?) with the sea rushing in to destroy the island city. Which, of course, is based on Welsh legends, and there is a lot of cross-population of Wales, southwest Britain, and the coasts of France.

Nah, IV and V were dreadful. III, while not great, was still pretty decent imo.

Hell no, when it cost >$50/game to import and they split them into separate releases, I did my research before pulling the trigger.

We need a PS3/360 port of Oath in Felghana and a similar-quality revisioning of Mask of the Sun. Then both of them need to be brought to the US.

    Now.

IV was dreadful!? Lies! Well... it was a bit boring on the SFC, but the PCE one was great.

The Japanese Ys IV would be interesting to watch in English Language too ...
There all ready is a remake of Ys III and that is,The Oath in Felghana for the pc.

Is that PC version the same as the TG CD-ROM version (except with better graphics)?

Whoa, is the TG CD-ROM game really worth over $200?

    No.

Maybe if it was mint *and* complete, which that auction is neither (missing the cardboard box and fold out map/thingy - I forget).

I bought it when it first came out. I guess it was 1990 or 1991. It is complete, but the box is a little messy. I had no idea it was worth more than $20. I didn't think it was rare at all.

    Hell no!

Those prices are a ripoff. I can easily buy these at a quarter or less for what they're selling. If the game was sealed new, it wouldn't be worth what he/she is asking for. IMO, there are only two Turbo games worth that high: Magical Chase and Dynastic Hero.

I've never played these games, though the DS version looks alright from the trailer at GT.

    Default Turbo Duo pack.

I think that the game was a "pack-in" with a Turbo Duo system. The price tag of the *SYSTEM* (including the game) was $200.00 ...

I only got a Japanese Ys III for PC Engine CD-ROM ROM system.

Sure, some years ago their were selling brand new Turbo Duo systems for $200.00! Maybe there are some in stock somewhere. I still need a CD-ROM system to play the Ys III game.

Oh no! I didn't mean Ys IV for the PC-E (which I happen to love also) or the SFC (was ok). I was referring to the Taito remake for the PS2 Ys IV Mask of the Sun: A New Theory...

PS2 version = PC versions except the PS2 had an extra sidequest with 2 new characters (nothing too big). The only thing is that the PS2 version has a few small annoyances...like the screen would shake and/or jitter when going in and out of the menu, the load times were kind of on the long side and the save file size is abnormally huge for some reason. All these little problems probably could have been fixed if given time with a US translation

Nope it plays in a over head view the game is a complete remake.

While the on the,TG16 it plays like a side scroller beside being a short game and not too difficult.
