I haven't tried this before, but would any 3D glasses work with Rad Racer?

Yep, it's just a standard 3D effect, no special glasses like with the Master System.
As long as you have the correct red and blue lenses, like you get at the movie theater, it will work.
From what I've seen since, the glasses that came with the game have the red / blue lenses swapped from how most 3D glasses are these days (included with 3D DVD's and so forth). Truth be told, the 3D effect wasn't really there - nowhere near as good as it was with the Famicom version, Highway Star, and the Famicom 3D goggles.
I just tried it with a pair of 3D glasses cut out of an old Fruit Roll-Up box. The only effect it had was that it put the road images back in phase, but the rest of it looked the same as without the 3D glasses. And there was certainly no 3D effect.
Do the Famicom goggles work with the NES game?
It's been so long since I've tried Rad Racer in 3-D. Probably around 20 years. I'm going to have to find a pair of glasses now, although I don't remember it being very spectacular in 88, either.
I pretty quickly lost my Rad Racer 3-D glasses in the 80s, so I never did get a chance to try them on 3-D World Runner. But what I've heard is that they actually work on 3-D World Runner, and that the effect is somewhat impressive. Can anybody confirm that?
Make sure the red and blue are on the correct side.
I have some old movie or comic glasses cant remember for sure, but I had to fold them backwards.
Any way the 3d effect is poor for rad racer.
Too many factors, you need to get the blue and red, contrast and brightness on the TV calibrated just right.
You will never get it 100%.
The sega glasses are superior by far with the oscillating shutter trick.
