That`s a great question! I have done it in the past & I just don`t remember. I would like to know though as I use it for my son`s movies. It`s a hassle to input the code everytime. Fortunately I remember it!

Inputting the code "7444" should reset the pass.

    0000 is the factory default.

Anybody know if there's a way to completely turn off the password requirement?

I don't know how to do it offhand, but I know there's definitely a way. I haven't had to enter a password since I got the system and set everything up 5-6 years ago. I think there's an option in the parental settings to turn everything completely off.

Yeah. Try 0000 first (My sister's PS2 gave me hell when I tried to watch .hack//Liminality Vol. 1 (The bonus DVD that came with .hack//Infection) on it)

If that doesn't work, then try 7444 (Reset Code)
