I got these today:

PS3 - Hakuna Matata
DS - Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
DS - Puzzle Quest: Galactrix

I found two PS1 games today:

Space Invaders (complete, some light scratches) - $1.50
Threads of Fate (complete, some light scratches, manual has front cover wear, disc has a rental store sticker) - $5

Not a bad day.

So, where did you get the HD DVD's that cheap? Cheapest place around here is Movie Trading Company at $9.99 each used. These look brand new?

It is from Zellers. They are clearing them out. Apparently there are huge stack and everyone is not buying them. I'm gonna pick up few more since my computer has HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo drive.

Sweet day at work, some guy must have owned a store and was cleaning house as he donated 550 DVDs. All were legit full releases, but a lot had no bar codes or holes punched in them as they were promos. Not too many TV shows (Wildboyz and Ali G come to mind) but massive amounts of films. Unfortunately most of them sucked. Oddly enough, of the seven I bought, none had holes punched or missing bar codes. Here is what I bought:

Bubba Ho-Tep (only bought this because of a thread I was reading here on DP)
Club Dread unrates
Dark City
Dodgeball unrated
Metallica: Some Kind of Monster
Spaceballs: Two Disc
The Animal unrated

So, where did you get the HD DVD's that cheap? Cheapest place around here is Movie Trading Company at $9.99 each used. These look brand new?

If you have a Five Below local to you, they should have a few HD titles for $5 each.

Picked up a factory sealed Mass Effect strategy guide for a penny at Best Buy.

Fry's here (the grocery store, not the electronics store) has stacks of them for $6 each.
Not sure on what movies as I don't have an HDDVD player.

I got Crysis: Warhead from best buy for $10 as part of the $20 off pc games. A 30 game for 10 is not a bad deal at all

I guess I need to keep my eyes open around here for all kinds of stores. We only have the electronic Fry's.

Ah, when I visited family in Detroit we went to a Zellar's so I know what it is, but unfortunately we don't have those either. So I guess I need to just keep on looking.

If any of you want to help me out by making a quick list of the cheap HD-DVD titles in your stores (especially ones under $8) I'd pay for them, plus shipping, plus a little extra or we can always trade...

From a person at work selling N64 games, $5 each:

Cruisin USA
NBA Hangtime
Mario Kart 64
Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside

Three of them are missing the white cardboard inside, other than that everything else (inserts and instruction booklets) are in there, along with the cardboard N64 box. I had traded most of these away a while back but had always wanted them back. Not very often do I find N64 games complete like this. This person also has some other N64 games that I may purchase.

You won't regret it - imo, Bruce Campbell's role is one of his best. Quite an awesome film I'd love to add to my DVD collection. Btw, there is a separate thread for DVD purchases.

I found my copy at Big!Lots for three bucks. If there's a store close to you, you should check it out.

The grocery store chain was run by the father of the Fry brothers who founded the electronics chain. It's basically what they did with the money their dad gave them after making a bundle. I believe Fry's grocery stores only exist in Arizona these days but they used to be all over the west coast.

Snagged the following lot from a local game store:



The store's original price for this lot - $150.00
Cash amount from my pocket AFTER trading in 55 penny guides - $40.00

May not be complete but I can't argue with the final price or the condition. The box has some wear but everything else is near mint.

Very happy to have this one in the collection.

Respectfully, I think I dominated you. I got the game loose from Goodwill for $7.99. Yours is far prettier though.

Just picked these up off of Kijiji:



$45, not an entire steal, but when you factor in I've been looking for the Mario Party games for a while and would have had no problem paying $20 each for them it's not too bad of a deal.

Very good day. I may even break even today!

I got to the flea market around 9 AM, but due to the time difference between Mexico and the US (why the hell did you guys have to do the whole Daylight Saving Time thing THREE WEEKS EARLY, dammit), very few vendors had set up when I arrived. So I spent some time talking to another flea market hunter - he goes for classic CDs and VHS tapes and our tastes in jazz and orchestral music tend to overlap, and eventually they started taking down boxes full of CDs and stuff.

I got the following albums for $5:



ALL are mint. Not a single scratch on the discs. My friend got about seven two-disc sets with music from that same era. They also had a five jazz CD box set... but only four were in the box. No clue where the fifth one was. Maybe it'll show up tomorrow, I hope.

A bit later I backtracked and found a guy with a bunch of NES carts.



That was $5 for the pair, both are in mint condition and with very little cart contact wear! Oh, I also got this.



Not saying how much, but it's complete, and the set was likely used only once. It's going on eBay soon.
