Stuff I picked up today

(Lol, also posted this in the May finds not realizing today was June 1st.)
Lot sale again today.
Not much game stuff, but I did get a big pile o' car electronics, including a Mercedes Benz CD changer. . Sometimes I wonder how stuff gets here.... That particular one I'm going to try to sell for $150-200, since it's in really nice shape and it has the magazine inside and mounting bracket attached. Also in the pile was a 1970s GM cassette player, probably $30, a Sherwood car amp, and a MTX crossover, $40 and $30 respectively on eBay.
Although, I did get a small amount of video game stuff. I got another orphaned PSOne system (DB is mind controlling me ) and a Ti-99/4A Mini Memory Command Module.

Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

So remember when I mentioned that some lady picked up a box of CDs and DVDs and wouldn't let it go? Well, that box was at that booth today. Something tells me she didn't want to pay the asking price for the stuff. Unsurprising, really.
Lost Planet: Colonies Edition and MVP Baseball 2005 were $2 each (from the mystery box from last week), Wheel Of Time was $1.
I picked up Lost Planet because Capcom screwed over those of us who already owned Lost Planet and they didn't release any sort of update to the game to make it Colonies Edition. I hope it works. MVP Baseball's going to eBay.
The Rockman X manual was a nice surprise; not as nice as when the Salvation Army clerk rang the whole thing up for $.99 though.
I don't know how it plays on PC, but MVP 2005 was one of my favorite baseball games ever. I bought 2004 and 2005 when they came out on GameCube, I played most of a season in 2004, and in 2005, played through all 162 games, and all playoff games. Only losing 4 games all season. THAT GAME WAS DA BOMB.
Sorry, just wanted to throw in my two cents.
From Wiki...
In 2005, in response to EA Sports' exclusive license with the National Football League and ESPN prohibiting any NFL 2K games for the foreseeable future, Take-Two Interactive signed an exclusive third-party licensing contract with Major League Baseball (MLB), MLBPA and MLBAM to produce MLB games. The agreement, which runs from Spring 2006 to 2012, allows for the console manufacturers Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo to produce MLB titles for their respective platforms, but bars third party developers such as EA Sports from continuing or developing their own MLB games.

All I got today was a shareware disc of "Kids" games from Goodwill for $1. Mainly because it works on MS-DOS.
I dunno whether to post this in June or May, but I won't be getting it until a few days, so I guess June...and it's still hinging on the unit actually working.

Yep, that's 0.99 for a CD-I. Well, $18 shipped. Not only mispelling Philips and spelling out Compact Disk Interactive, with a k in disc nonetheless, I'm pretty sure anyone looking for a CD-I missed this listing. I always wanted one, but didn't want to bite the bullet on $80-100. The A/V cables look standard, so that is easy, my one worry is the controller, which seem to be hard to come by on their own. I won't buy one until I can test the unit either. If it all works out in the end, I figured I saved myself $40-50, so crossing my fingers.

My 'finds' for the month so far:
Umihara Kawase (SFC) - $49 CIB from ebay.
Dracula X (PCE) - $76 CIB off the 'bay. No obi strip, but who cares.
Three Dirty Dwarves (Saturn) - $14 from Hi-Score games at the Mall of America. This place is incredibly expensive...where else can you find a cart-only copy of SMB3 for $30? They did have a lot of nice stuff though, but goddamn....the prices!

Today was productive!
Activision CD-R - $1
¡Policia! - A Tribute To The Police (no slipcover) - $1
Plastilina Mosh promo CD-R - $1
Sex-O-Rama 2 CD (music inspired by porn music) - $1
Microsoft Frontpage 2002 Upgrade, Windows ME NFR/OEM w/key, Macromedia Director 8.5 / Shockwave Studio, Fireworks 4, Coldfusion 5 Server - $6 total. Got a good deal on these.
Now, that Activision CD-R caught my eye because, well, it's Activision branded. I picked it up and looked at the disc... it's burned. After a few seconds it clicked - this is a proto / preview disc?! The internal code on the disc is "SLUS-200.48"... but that number was assigned to a game called "Legion: Legend of Excalibur"...
I thought it said "F1", but it actually says "F4"... so ... is this an early version of Fantastic Four?

I have an Activision CD-R too, mine was mailed to me from Activision as a replacement disc to Wolfenstein 3D as my copy was missing Spear of Destiny. I was kind of upset as I wanted a factory pressed disc, but there's not really anything I can do about it. My CD-R has a printed label applied on it. I have no idea about your disc though, it could be an internal copy since the name is just written on it, or maybe some employee took some blank discs home for personal use. What's on your disc, does it play in your PC?
...
OMG...
It's an early version of a Fantastic Four game. I can't run it on my PS2 (it's not modded) but it kinda runs on pcsx2...
And it's got Burly Brawl from The Matrix playing in the background after you clear the first area. O_o
That's an internal build, Kitsune. Congrats.
However, that date is extremely early if it were for Fantastic 4 PS2 (which was released 6/27/2005). Do what Gameguy suggested and see what you pull up on your PC.
EDIT: Very nice! Somewhat disturbing that they spent over 2 years on that game though. Too bad CD-Rs don't sell well as promos and it's a horrible game. Interesting piece nonetheless.
It's NOT the same game as the Fantastic 4 game (the movie one). This is an ENTIRELY different game that's based on the comics! Apparently the four are being held in some sort of VR setup; if you choose Reed you fight a clone of yourself, beat him, and escape. That's as far as I got, the emulator started getting all weird on me.
There's dev stuff in there too, apparently Mole Man is a boss in a level...

Like this game? Things have gotten more interesting now..
It appears I was mistaken... it's definitely an early build of the F4 movie game.
But this was made years before the movie was announced, so maybe they scrapped the game as it is on this disc and converted it to be more like the movie?
