It was sold as NEW, still it was opened, I guess they wanted to test it before shipping. $140 O_oa was it a good buy?

Wrong subforum. Should go to "What's it worth?"

Holy crap. It's been a while.
How much did the seller spend on shipping? If it does not appear on the shipping label, what is the sellers zip code, method of shipping, and weight of the package? Those appear on the label.
Seller must have taken a huge hit on shipping with that, I presume.

This guy has been selling these for over a year now. Unfortunately, it's just one piece of a bigger display. There is a mounting base, as well as a rear enclosure that this "blade" display snaps into which is not included. That's why they haven't been selling very quickly.

I'd like to find something like that for the Saturn.

No, that's a mounting bracket to attach it to that larger display shown in the black and white picture which was specific to Game Crazy. Nintendo did make similar displays for shelves and other small spaces for stores like Toys R Us and Target, but the one being discussed here was specifically made for that larger metal display from Game Crazy. That's why collectors aren't scooping these up. At $140 it's unfortunately overpriced because it's basically useless and won't stand on its own.
Does the display supply power to the GBA?
cool find! and in my experience any display in good condition is worth atleast $140, so you did great

I remember when those used to line the shelves of every gaming department. But yeah it's missing the back piece which held it into place on the stores glass display kiosk.
That can't possibly be true. This same seller has been listing multiples of this very item for over two years and very few have sold. If this was worth $140, don't you think collectors would have scooped them all up by now? In my opinion, this is worth roughly what a NOS GBA without the box would go for and maybe a little extra for the graphics and light bar.
I say enjoy what you got cause you think its cool. Mount it to a wall, admire it and call it a day. =)
