Default Did the GameBoy have Scanlines?

Simple questions really. I like to play my emulators as authentically as possible. I'm using bsnes for my NES/SFC/GB emulation, and I like to have scanlines turned on, though it looks a little odd on the GameBoy emulation.

Same goes for the Game Gear and Kega.

No, neither did the GBC, Neogeo pocket and GBA.

Closest thing to scanlines on Gameboy was on the original brick model sometimes you'd get missing (or completely on) vertical lines, lol

Scanlines are just that.... the beam from an electron tube painting you a picture. If it doesn't have a CRT, it doesn't have scanlines.

I believe you can find scanlines on PAL gameboys, but they are not as prominent in NTSC versions.
