People talk crap about Rare's nes games, but I'd say about 80% of them are actually really awesome. They just had that British design philosophy of maning the games ridiculously hard, like Reflections and the Shadow of the Beast games.

they certainly had a way with their code it seems.
didn't they do slalom on NES as well? I always thought that game had a different feel to it as well.

I mean there were a lot of games by that time that did that same sort of perspective, like rad racer or space harrier but slalom felt like it was a bit smoother and more fluid in the movement
