Open the games and clean with light grade sandpaper.
I also use sandpaper for NES games. Rubbing alcohol for SNES, Genesis and N64 games have never let me down. I have heard of some people using a dremel tool with a wire brush end for NES games as well, they say it works fine, but I will stick with my sandpaper.
