Soft-modding Wii's with home-brew and CFW (custom firmware) should continue to work without any problems. These can be accomplished via the Letterbomb or Wilbrand hacks which are simple to execute. Letterbomb is the simpler to achieve as all it requires is a Wii (with an SD card) that can browse the Internet that can go to the Letterbomb Web site. But even if your Wii can't go online, then you can still use the Wilbrand technique which is basically the same except you run the preparatory software on your computer first and then copy the files onto your Wii's SD card.
