7/12 - Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis (PS2) (time = 54:48; Nikki ending)
even with having little story that doesn't even really show up til the last 2-3 chapters of the game I still felt it was an awesome game. I was so involved in the gameplay, class taking, and item synthesizing that I really didn't mind the lack of story.

This was one hell of a game. The gameplay and music grabbed me right from the start, but it was the visual style and interesting story that kept me playing. Over many other games of the like that I have played, this one gives leveling up and killing tough as hell monsters the most satisfying feeling.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam [360] (every character in official mode, work through the dudes in original mode)
Soul Calibur [360 - XBL] (Beat it and got all acheivements)
Skate [360] (Uh, I got all the offline acheivements, that should count for beating it)
Cars [360] (That's right, I beat it)
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War [PC] (Campaign mode on normal without cheating)
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War: Winter Assault [PC] (Campaign mode on easy with trainers because, uh, they decided this game was too easy apparently, so that forgot that easy mode should really be easy, and after easy, it only gets harder)
Project Sylpheed [360] (I have actually beat this a couple times since I am going for the acheivements)
College Hoops 2ksomething [360] (I don't remember which one I beat, but I beat one of them for the acheivements)
Besides pc games, I have been becoming more and more an acheivement whore. That is why I went back and finally polished off skate.
I bet I have beat more, I just can't remember any off of the top of my head.

I really can't believe how underrated and overlooked this series is. At $7.99 (at GS) for the first episode any kind of RPG fan should own it and have played through it by now. Hands down my favorite RPG series, and probably the best storyline I've ever seen/heard.

I really despise games that refer directly to the player. That is, the character looks right at the screen and talks to YOU. I hate that. It makes me feel like I'm playing some 4th grade typing program.
As Contact does this 'hi player lol' crap right from the get go, our relationship started out a bit rocky. However, Contacts streamlined battle system, excellent item display menus and somewhat entertaining plot got'em on my good side. Sadly, the plot is short, however long the leveling makes it feel.

I've been out of a job the whole year due to moving up here with my mother since my father died and I didn't want her to be alone. My situation kinda sucks, as I don't have a car and the bus only runs until 5:30 on weekdays, and not at all on weekends, so my available hours to work are extremely limited. I don't really have much experience to put down on a resume either, which doesn't help matters. We're going to be moving towards the beginning of '09 back to my hometown, which is in a very good location so I'll most likely be able to find a job easily.
Sorry for the long explanation, it's just that I don't really know anyone up here so I have nothing else to do with my free time other than play games for the most part.

Well, I've played a bunch of games this year....I haven't BEATEN many of them though...Lost Odyssey and Braid are really the only current games I can think of that I've beaten so far this year, though I am currently playing through Xenogears (I've only owned it for 3 years now, why not?) and plan on finishing it. A lot of it comes from the fact that most of the games I've played this year can't really be "beaten" per se since the main focus and reason I play them is for multiplayer. But here's my list as of right now:
1. Lost Odyssey
2. Braid
3. Mega Man
4. Mega Man 2
5. Mega Man 3
6. Mega Man 4
7. Mega Man 5
8. Mega Man 6
9. Mega Man X
Yeah, I'm just now playing through the Mega Man series as well, great games.
