Tell me what you think of Warriors of the Lost Empire when you get to playing it ScourDX. I'm looking for a good dungeon crawler, and this game had such a low distribution that I can't afford to sit on it for too long.

So far I like it. The action is fast pace and enjoyable. I haven't play the game too long to tell you more.

NES:
Super Cars (boxed w/photocopied manual, R5) - $6.48
According to the barcode sticker I just peeled off the front of the cart, this copy's home back in the day was a place called Royal Video. And now, it's in my collection. Figured I'd splurge a little and get it off the want list. A loose cart is valued at $6 in the DP Guide (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=5449), so I didn't do too bad here.

Fun game once you get into the grind but one loss and it's game over. I too paid more than my usual NES rate for a copy (and from a seller at the local flea market I really don't like).

My Turbo collection up to date, I wouldn't have most of this if it wasn't from the help of the people on the forums. Now I'll spend the next couple of weeks playing this stuff.
On another note, I'm a little disappointed in JJ and Jeff. I played Kato and Ken Chan back in the day, and JJ and Jeff is extremely censored compared to it.

Am I the only one who dreads reading Kitsune Sniper's posts in here?;)
I mean, it's only a matter of time before he comes in here and posts about how he went to the weekly flea market and found Nolan Bushnell there with a $10 price tag on his forehead, but managed to talk the dealer down to $5.
Yes, yes, that is just jealousy talking. I've had a couple good finds, but not like him.

i got golden axe 2 and streets of rage for genesis for 1.49 each. They had about 15 really good titles at the second hand store for genesis all complete, but they said it was part of a bundle and they wanted like 50 for the bundle with a crappy looking system. I just wanted the games for a couple bucks each.
then at the goodwill, i could not believe my eyes, they had 2 wii remotes in their original packaging, i was like score, until i saw the price, 25 each. I was like wtf. I thought they would be like 5 each. So i passed.

I hadn't been game-hunting in a while, but I had some decent finds, today:
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/cledus2000/blades.jpg
The 3 PS1 games were going to come out to $37.00, but I asked the pawnies if they could sell them for $30. They agreed. $9.99 each. Fair price.
The others came from a thrift store, and were $1.91 each.

What is a region free duo?
A TurboDuo (or PCEngine Duo) that will play both USA TurboGrafx-16 HuCARDs as well as JPN PCEngine HuCARDs. No region lock on the CD based games since the 'Duo has the 3.0 system card built in.

Well, a neat little story here... last Friday I was playing Fable: The Lost Chapters.. and I got stuck (yes, I'm serious). I walk into value village the next day (Saturday), hoping to find some decent video game strategy guides. 10 seconds before I even get to the book section, I say to myself "It would be sweet if they had the Fable guide there". Lo and behold... not even 10 seconds later, I find it... for $1.99. Sweet, eh??
Saturday's finds:
Fable: The Lost Chapters Strategy Guide (Prima) $1.99 from Value Village
Scarface: The World Is Yours Strategy Guide (Prima) $1.99 from Value Village
The Warriors Strategy Guide (Brady) $1.99 from Value Village
Need For Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox 360, complete) $10.00 from Pawn
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox 360, complete) from Pawn

FINALLY!!! The Wii LAN Adaptor. No more of that USB Connector crap that keeps freezing my computer when I go online thru that.
Wii LAN Adaptor (by Datel) $29.99 from Future Shop.
Scarface: The World Is Yours (Wii) $24.99.
Spy Games: Elevator Mission (Wii) FREE (came with Scarface)
What's weird, is that Future Shop had Scarface by itself for 55 bucks, or in a 2-pack (like the one i got) for $24.99. Go figure!!

I haven't been to the flea market in awhile but today I ventured out in the cold ass weather hoping to find a find..
The turn out was ok, but vendors were too scattered..
I hear the flea market vendor prices to be there have jumped like an extra $30 per month.
This in turn is chasing a lot of them away, going to other places to sell instead.
I did find an assortment of various game systems but everything way overpriced...(PASSED UP)
NES basic set-up $45.00 Cracked up dirty SNES $35.00..NES system no plug $40.00..Nomad with plug $25.00"but' it had a big yellow spot on screen when on.
Xbox 360 Gears of War $25.00 Spiderman 360 $25.00(the vendors a ...so I would not buy them if they were $2.00 each..
I scoured the market over and over trying to find a deal..Right before I left I came upon a table with a lot of Anime stuff that looked interesting..I starting looking through it and came across the Dreamcast stuff.$3.00 each or 2 for 5..($40.00)
I grabbed everything I could in Japanese Dreamcast stuff as I still collect this stuff, though I have no idea of the value of any of it.
I took a few US Dreamcast games that I don't have in my collection too..
I wanted to buy the Anime stuff too(DVD sets and CDs) as it looked very interesting but I only went there with $40.00
I took a few pictures of the stuff I got,..I don't know what some of these games are and again are worth.
DC Heavy Metal is still sealed,The NEC game at the bottom of the picture is also sealed.

My finds/purchases so far for the month, plus the last week of December:
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u160/Xexyz1337/IM000502.jpg
Lots of PSP stuff lately. The three Konami shooter imports were from NCSX.com, and the other three were normal retail new as well as the two DS games. The trio of PS2 games were $14.99 each off of Amazon.com w/ free shipping, a much better deal than walking into GameStop and getting ripped off an additional $5 per title just because the corporation happens to be greedy...
All the older generation stuff was from a local chain called Game Craze:
Tommy Lasorda's Baseball (complete) - $0.99
Super Baseball 2020 (complete) - $0.99 (I'm glad they priced it like a common EA sports title, because I find it to be a terrible game, one I must have confused in my mind for Base Wars)
Cyborg Justice (boxed) - $3.99
Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure (boxed) - $3.99
Super Bases Loaded 3 - License to Steal - $1.99 (amazing game, too bad the label is effed up...)
Felix the Cat - $3.99
Gargoyle's Quest II (complete, including promotional map and plastic baggie) - $5.99
Been pretty weak on collecting since Summer ended. I'm anxiously awaiting the flea market/garage sale 2008 season :D

A friend of mine told me about a Fred Meyer in the area that had a good selection of games on clearance, and we went there tonight. Here's my haul:
Gamecube:
Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (new, Player's Choice) - $7.98
GBA:
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night (new) - $7.98
Need For Speed Carbon: Own The City (new) - $7.98
After that, we wound up looking around at the Hollywood Video next door. They had several shelves of VHS tapes on sale for a buck each, mostly kiddie titles. I figured I'd look through and see if there was any game related stuff in there, and sure enough, I wound up finding a tape from the Zelda animated series that aired with the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. This tape features one episode - "The Ringer." Good score for a buck. Here's a photo of the box cover (found on nesplayer.com via a Google image search):

California Speed - $7
Mortal Kombat 4 (n64) - $7
Ducktales 2 (gb) - $6
as a bonus I delivered some stuff I sold off my for sale list to dp members Jesusjones and Cornelius while I was in that area so that was pretty cool too.

some of those vhs tapes might actually net you a few bucks if they are for shows that aren't on dvd yet so check some ebay/amazon prices on a few of the titles and you might find something worth the trip back.

Well, me, Icebreaker and wife and 98PaceCar went out to Trader's Village (probably the largest flea market in Texas) yesterday. We had a pretty good time, although it was cold and windy the whole time. I bought;
Z Pak: Fun for the Tapwave Zodiac, sealed - $5
Gate of Thunder/Bonk's Adventure/Bonk's Revenge CD for the Turbo Duo - $2
Sega Game Gear with TV tuner - $25
Dr. Dunk ('70s basketball handheld) - $3
The place I bought the Turbo Duo CD had a big ol' pile of videotapes, CDs, porn DVDs, cassettes, and several Turbo games. Unfortunately, out of the four I picked up, only two had games inside them. We all ended up buying a Turbo game there. In fact, there were a lot of really great finds out there at the flea market Sunday. Maybe the cold weather kept all the eBay resellers at home. 98PaceCar had an even better haul than me.
I found one of those Xbox Thrustmaster joysticks out there that are supposedly rare, but I never cared for those types of controllers and I was low on cash, so I passed. I just hope I won't regret that one.

Ahh, Trader's Village. I love that place. I've found some pretty good video game stuff over there. Imagine a flea market where there are video games at almost every other booth. It's a video game collector's heaven. You can find some pretty good stuff if you know what to look for. (Megaman 4, Megaman 5, & Bubble Bobble all for $10 :) ) The best part is this place is the opposite of Canton, TX. There aren't very many antiques to be found, most of the stuff over there is 30 years old or newer, which makes it easier to find video game stuff. Anyways, I hope you had fun over there. I've been wanting to go back for a while, but for now I'm stuck with "Treasure City" (yeah right!) in Waco.

Got a NES with all hookups, 2 controllers, zapper and 12 games.
CIB Games are Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Bionic Commando, Legend of Zelda II, Metal Gear, and Snake's Revenge. Loose carts are Mario/Duck Hunt, Rush n' Attack, Mission Impossible, Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros. 2, and Top Gun. All of this for $50.
Also got Zelda: Twilight Princess and FIFA 2006 for Gamecube, Castlevania Bloodlines and Sonic 3 for Sega, and Final Fantasy Adventure for GB. All for $30. Not as good as my 1st find but I figured Twilight Princess is at least worth $25-$30 alone on ebay.
Last of all I found a Wavebird Wireless for Gamecube at my local Gamestop for 17.99. Again, not the biggest deal in the world, but well worth 17.99.

Treasure City in Waco is pretty good man.
I found some good stuff there in the past year:
Marvel vs Capcom 2 for Xbox for $10
Saturn system for $5
Box of 25 NES games for $10
and some other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head.
Trader's Village is ok, there is a boatload of games, but not a whole lot of awesome deals.
I have a few special places here in the Metroplex I have found a lot of awesome stuff at. There is definately lots of good stuff around here in Texas.
I just need to find a stash of the Myriad 6 in 1 games that were made here in Texas

I live in Arlington. What are the good places in Trader's Village to go for games? I went once a few years back but didn't find much.

You want to head to the "overflow" area. When they run out of enclosed and regular booths, everybody else is put over there. It's this big outside area with people set up, it's located in the far western area, when facing the market from the front. You can also comb the edges of the large areas with enclosed booths, (there's some more "open air" booths out thataways) and find some pretty good stuff. I found a limited edition Zelda OOT and MM for Gamecube for $10 back there. Even in the enclosed booths you can find some good stuff. Though, I tend to keep away from the enclosed booths. It's like a city made of dirty pet stores, off-brand crap booths, and tejano music *shivers*. You never know what old lady is lurking in a dirty enclosed booth with some old video games that belonged to her children.
JeffG: Yeah, seriously Treasure City is pretty good. I swear by it. I've gotten Earthbound with the strategy guide for $12, Atari 2600 Glib (R7) for $1, Threads of Fate (PS1) for $5, a James Avery Teacher pin for $.50 (sold for $40 on ebay) and countless other things over there. I find a lot there, mostly because my dad sets up a booth over at that flea market once or twice every month.

random pawn shop finds
Final Fantasy VII GH no manual
Grandia no manual
Breath of Fire IV no case
Armored Core: Master of the Arena no manual
Evolution Worlds for Gamecube
The Playstation games were $7.99 each and Evolution Worlds was $12.99. I didn't know the value of any of them except FF7, so I gambled, knowing I could get about $50 for it. It looks like I drastically overpaid for Armored Core and got gyped a bit on Evoltion Worlds. They only do exchanges, but I might try to take those two back and find something else anyway. Is Evolution Worlds a good game?

It's a port of the Dreamcast games Evolution 1 and 2, in one package. Decent games, but not very awesome.

Do yourself a favor and play at least a few hours of Grandia before committing to sell it, it's a great game, my all time favorite RPG in fact. :)

Found a copy of Ninja Gaiden II next to the dumpster at my apartment complex. Strange someone would throw it away, it doesn't stink and it works. Also found a dirty copy of Q-bert for Nes with the Ninja Gaiden II. Its nothing that can't be cleaned off though. I guess more trade fodder in the future.

Grandia won't be sold, I bought that one to keep. I remember seeing a commercial for it waaaay back when the original Playstation was still the new thing. I was so impressed, I thought it was beautiful.

I live in Arlington. What are the good places in Trader's Village to go for games? I went once a few years back but didn't find much.
There's a booth, I believe it's #1309, that has a whole lot of games and stuff awkwardly crammed into it. Last time I looked they had an INTV Model III which I'd like to pick up. I bought a boxed Astrocade and a dozen carts from him for $40. And that's also where I bought my Myriad 6-in-1 cart (don't panic, there's no more there - I've looked).
Yeah, the overflow places are the best for finding stuff at Trader's Village. Right before I'd arrived, one guy who runs a game collector booth at the back had come across a boxed Vectrex and something like fourteen games, all boxed and complete, out there in the overflow area. I'm sure he made a pretty penny off of those.
Anyone else have suggestions for other places in the Metroplex for finding games? I've tried the Pirate's Cove flea market with no success (depressing place sort of near the corner of I-20 and I-35) but I bought a boxed Odyssey2 out at the Henderson Street flea market off downtown Fort Worth. Up in McKinney there's supposed to be a 'first Monday' type flea that I haven't ventured up to yet. Anyone know if that one's worth the trip up there?
What I really miss is the old First Saturday Sale on Ross Street in downtown Dallas. That place used to be awesome for a million reasons. I haven't been out there in years, not since it moved locations. I've been told it's come down to a dozen or more vendors. Such a sad thing.

So I bought a about 34 Intellivision games, all in original boxes with overlays.. Also included was an Intellivision II system (not in box) and Intelivoice (also CIB) for 40 bucks... I'm digging through the box and trying to find some info on the games to see if anything is worth more then 20 and my search brings me to Fathom (R7)... Didn't know anything about it when I got it.. But the last complete one on Ebay went for 84 bucks shipped.. So I'm guessing that worked out for me... Also, the guy asked me if I knew anything about PSP's and how to play regular nintendo games on it... I said I did and that I downgrade psps all the time... So he's coming over tomorrow or Sunday to get his PSP downgraded for 30 bucks... So basically this lot just cost me 10 bucks not a bad deal at all....

How much does a downgrade on a psp usually cost? I'm all for getting good deals, but this is a case where I'd definitely cut the guy a break (which maybe $30 is, I just don't know at all).
