How much does a downgrade on a psp usually cost? I'm all for getting good deals, but this is a case where I'd definitely cut the guy a break (which maybe $30 is, I just don't know at all).
I usually do it for 20... I downgrade it, then upgrade it, put roms and emulators on it (if they have a memory card big enough) or I throw everything on a cd for them... I was bargaining with the guy to try and do an exchange for the intellivision stuff (because he had originally said he had 50 games and come to find out he only had 34 when I got there)... I didn't even look through the games until I got home... But I'll probably end up downgrading his for 20 since I got the CIB Fathom...

i cant complain about my january finds. I actually found an extremely over priced FFVII (PSX) for 39.99. i guess its still better than the $70 it usually costs on ebay. I am also now the proud owner of a Sega Saturn, Goldstar 3DO, and a Genesis CDX (aka sega cdx).
Actually i was able to obtain a CDX for $75 and the 3DO (slightly over priced at $50). now, the games i have for the systems are not very good. (prize fighter - CDX, sewer shark - cdx, and shockwave - 3DO). Shockwave seems to actually be somewhat playable and not that horrible. I remember drooling over screenshots of this game when i was 13/14 years old.

Nice day at the Flea Market..You could actually park within the vendors in which made going back to the car easy..I call it a drive through flea market today as that just what many people(old) were doing..
I missed a crate of NES loose games they were just sold before I got to the table..It was a vendor to vendor sale..I know the vendor and his usual price for loose nes carts is 3-5 bucks so the lot may have been 50-75-100 more then what I would of spent..
Loose Dirty NES decks $25.00 Each,,Pass..
I spent less then I figured I would..I bought some Movie "Cars" vehicles for my Son that I can't find in stores $15.00
I got some free stuff from three vendors that just packed up a small amount of things and left..Everything else was then left for free(became garbage-I was garbage picking:embarrassed:)..I got about 10 yo yo's that I gave my Dad and misc other items.
...............................
What I bought:
NES Plug $1.00
Hot wheels Radar Gun(came with batteries and works) $1.00
I can't wait to test this at the track when I race/I hear it's accurate
.................................................. ..............................................
I'm not sure what these are or their worth..(Looking for info on them?/they will both be going up on eBay as soon as I know what they are and a general value.
Mega Disk/..........Sega..Looks like converter and has a floppy disk input on the front($5.00

If you're looking for some cartridge games for your newly acquired CD-X, take a look at my Buying and Selling thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106124), I'd be willing to let them go cheap.
"MGH Multi-Game Hunter" /MGH Dual Mode Adapter $5.00
You're missing the floppy drive module that sits atop it, without the floppy drive it's pretty much useless. You're also missing the Genesis / Mega Drive connector module for the bottom. (power supply too, but a Master System power supply runs it fine) There is also an expansion cartridge for the Genesis slot up top, it's just a memory chip in a Genesis shell. I have one myself and it's a very nice backup device although game size is limited, anything greater in file size than a pair of floppy disks won't load. Also HIROM SNES games won't work on it, but there are still a lot of quality titles it will play and it's ran nearly every Genesis title I've thrown on it.
You may be able to test it to at least see if you get a prompt. Use a SMS power supply and connect the Multi Game Hunter to your SNES (sits better on a Super Famicom). You have to put any standard SNES game on the top in the SNES slot to get around the BIOS lock. Turn the SNES on and I believe you should get the MGH menu system. I'm pretty sure you'll at least be able to get that far without the floppy module. As the unit is black (same as mine) it's the smaller 16 megabit version. Paid $5.00 for mine complete although I had to toss the box and styrofoam insert due to heavy moisture damage.

Same as the one you see atop the unit on Flack's page (http://www.robohara.com/tech/?p=17) (the part that says "MGH Means Innovation"), except it will be the same color as the bottom module (black/grey in this case). The Genesis connector looks just like the SNES one you have now (they're removable), except it snaps onto the Genesis pins on the bottom of the MGH. The expansion cartridge looks like a normal Genesis cartridge without a label.

No, Kitsune. Your eyes are not deceiving you. It is a price drop. Unfortunately I had to take the gutted copy but it was the only one I could find at 5 local Gamestops, so I consider myself lucky.
Yeah, when I saw the sticker change on the case yesterday afternoon, a little bit of pee came out.

Yeah, the PS2 version no longer shows up on Gamestop's website as new and the used copies only appear in the store locator if they have them. The Wii version is showing up as $17.99 used, but it's still $16.98 at Circuit City new if you can find it. I assume the PSP version will also be $19.99 new and $17.99 used at GS but I haven't seen that one yet. I'm hoping I'll find one sooner or later...

i thought it was too.
my excitment for my finds was short lived.
today i got a gyromite converter cart for $3
and a plastic nintendo storage center (the black and grey 5 game one) for $5
on the way home though i found a kitty that had been hit by a car, i always feel bad but this one was different, i turned arround and stopped with my flashers on to check (i have found animals still alive after being hit) and he/she was still warm but the last moments were hell.
who ever hit it did the right thing and brought it off of the road which i wish more people would do.

Another ho-hum day in the land of games hunting:
Sega Cd (yeah I overpaid on all of these but if I were to buy them online shipping would bring it over that much anyway)
Ultraverse Prime/Microcosm (complete) - $4
Supreme Warrior (complete) - $4
Silpheed (loose) - $2
Genesis
NHL '98 (loose) - $1 (getting those final genesis sports titles out of the way)
SNES
Sunset Riders - $3
DVD
Grand Masters of Wrestling vol 1. and vol 2. (yes both of the $1 wal-mart dvds of over the hill wrestlers wrestling in an almost vacant high school gym, all the wal-marts around here never have these ones only the newer "first blood" ones that are a completely different event by the same people) - .50 each

Here's a crappy pic made with my old phone. All of it bought at a flea market between last weekend and this one.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/DamonPlus/Fotos-0146.jpg
Last Sunday:
Olympic Gold (CB)- 2,50€
Cool Spot (SMS, forgot to include it on the photo, complete)- 2,50€
Jungle Book (CB)-3,50€
OutRun (Complete, yay!)- 3,50€
Today:
Operation Wolf (Complete)- 3€
Street Fighter III (pirate cart)- I bought this just for the sake of having it- 2,50€
Ultima: Exodus (complete)- Strangely, this game wasn't released in Europe, so I wonder how the seller had it, and in such a good condition. A great deal, that's for sure- 2,50€
Pretty nice finds, IMO.

Nice finds, all!
Well here's what I got as I swung by the outdoor flea market yesterday:
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/cledus2000/sneses.jpg
Aerobiz and Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest for the SNES.
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/cledus2000/skeleton.jpg
Skelteton Warriors for the Sega Saturn. I never watched the cartoon in 1994 seeing as I was already a junior in high school and was probably more interested in sleeping in on Saturday mornings. Still, this is a pretty cool game with a lot of dark and spooky themes and artwork.
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/cledus2000/saturnmanuals.jpg
Skelteton Warriors also came stuffed with these extra manuals. May be worth keeping if I happen to find Fighting Vipers without the instructions some day.
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f165/cledus2000/Cleaningkit.jpg
I also got this SNES Cleaning Kit for $2.00. I have always wanted one for some reason. The box is a little tattered, but it seems pretty complete, otherwise. The cleaning wands and cards are pretty much spotless.
The grand total for this one-hour spree was $12.00 (plus $2.00 for parking). And I also got to enjoy a Mexican imported Coca-Cola in the glass bottle. It's better because it uses sugar instead of high fructose corn sweeteners!

Oh so wrong, friend. Pure bliss is to be had with Coke imported from Holland. That's the real stuff, made the same way and with the same recipe from a hundred years ago. It's like the Coke I drank when I was a kid, before the Coca-Cola Corporation started cheapening down US Coke to make it more profitable. Not even Mexican Coke can compare to the Holland kind. It's like having your taste buds orgasm.

Ok, first real hunt of the year. Made it to a few thrifts, haven't had a chance to hit the flea markets yet but I'm planning it...
Ok, here's what I found...
Genny 2 with AC (no video cable, fuckwads), regular 3-button controller, and a Sega MegaFire controller...never saw one of those before... and the Menacer cart loose
$9.95 in one of those bags that hang on the hooks.

NES Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? - $2.95
PC You Don't Know Jack 1-3 - $.95 each

Also saw Anticipation and Jordan vs Bird for NES at the same price but left it behind.
Bare Dreamcast for $9.95 and a bare PS1 with the AC cable for $9.95, left those two behind as well.
A few random GBC games for $5.95...those got left behind.
Second store had a PS1 setup with a controller and the cables for $49.99...yeah...

Wiki disagrees with you:
"Vernors was originally sweetened with stevia from 1866 to 1991 and had a "deliciously different" taste. Stevia was replaced with high fructose corn syrup when the FDA banned stevia in 1991."
So made mostly the same way for the last 125+ years. Back on topic...

Probably my find of the year, value wise, although it came from eBay. Yeah, I know the year is young but I don't think I'll top this.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon ADV uncut subtitled DVD boxset - $28.45 shipped.
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2008-01-28(01).jpg
These regularly go for at the very least $120+ on eBay, much more on Amazon (if you don't get scammed and are sent a bootleg, which is a big problem from the Amazon resellers) and so forth. Out of print for about three years and due to rights issues they'll probably never be pressed again.
Why was this one so cheap? It's missing the 8th disc, it never had one packaged in manufacturing - ADV really dropped the ball with the quality control of these boxsets initially. So it was marked as a return to manufacturer that was either never sent back or sat in the supply chain. This was written in sharpie on both the front and back cover of the outer box...
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2008-01-28(02).jpg
Of course that's nothing I couldn't remove. :) A little of the silver foil on the back side wore off and there are little dots of sharpie here and there that can't be removed without causing more damage but I can easily live with that. Certainly better than that sharpie writing. Aside from the missing 8th DVD and the sharpie everything is complete and in excellent condition, including both of the liner note booklets.

Decent day out at the local flea market, got rained out last Tuesday so everyone was in a mad scramble to make money this week before the rains moved in around noon. There were flooded patches and it was mostly the usual crap haulers but I did pick up two items. The first is 50 feet of four wire 22G telephone line for 50 cents. This is my favorite type of wire to use for basic console mods as it's thin, bends easily and keeps its shape. I thought I had a seemingly endless supply but I was down to my last two feet and had moved over to using that overly fat insulated Radio Shack 22G wire. I refuse to pay the retail price for telephone line, a penny a foot x4 is more like it. LOL It was carded but I removed the card before the picture.
Nothing much else except on one table of a small junk media and electronics miscellaneous dealer was a Sony Mavica camera, pretty beat up. It's the same model I've used forever, an FD-73. Technically obsolete right out of the box but I use it exclusively, it's the camera I use for those extreme close up shots of my modification work. (I love people that have 7 megapixel cameras but can't hold them still to take a picture) It wouldn't turn on but it had a battery inside as well as a floppy. The floppy inserted and ejected smoothly so I had high hopes, as the floppy mechanism is usually the first thing to fail. I asked how much and the two guys running the spot said $5.00. I asked if they knew if it worked and they both kinda shrugged, shook their heads and said no. Worst case scenario the camera wouldn't work but the battery is well worth $5.00 (also the same battery the other Mavica and my camcorder use) so I bought it.
Once I got home I popped in one of my batteries and it fired right up. I gave it a cleaning and replaced a missing screw on the housing. The battery that came with it took a full charge on my charger. I've put the camera through basic testing and it seems to be working great. I'll grill it a little more heavily tomorrow but as things stand there aren't any problems. The battery is an NP-F570, which is a 30% higher yield battery than the pair of NP-F330's I already had, and still sells for $50.00. It does need a replacement internal settings button cell as the included one was dead. It also came with a strap but I threw it out due to it being way too grimy, I have a spare one anyway. I also removed the display stickers as they were pretty dirty.

Is this Rally game rare? I've never seen it before...
I'd say it's possibly among the top ten rarest games on the Gamecube. I got my copy in early 2005 and have only seen it in the wild once since then.

I've had a pretty good month hitting my local Goodwills. If you can count a 5-county area as local. There's also a couple locally owned game shops that I'm fond of.
Hardware:
Dreamcast with cables and one controller, 12.98
Gamecube with cables, gameboy player, one original controller, one 3rd party, and one wavebird (missing the transmitter) 12.99
Wii-mote (Target return/open package) 9.99
Cartridges, all $1.99 each unless noted:
Scooby Doo Mystery (SNES, sealed)
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday (SNES, sealed)
Ms Pac Man (SNES, sealed)
Samurai Shodown (Genesis, complete)
Mutant League Football (Genesis, complete)
X-Men 2:Clone Wars (Genesis, complete)
Spider-man X-men:Arcade's Revenge (Genesis, complete)
Samurai Shodown (Genesis, loose, $3)
Fatal Fury (Genesis, loose, $3)
and a zapper and a handful of loose NES carts, titles escape me at the moment

Pretty good find at Goodwill today except one thing...
Wii Classic Controller in opened package - $6.25 B)
Quake III (PC, in case) - $3.25
Sim Farm (PC, in case) - $3.25
Dune 2000 (just the case) - $3.25
Argh, I didn't look inside the Dune 2000 case to see if the game was in there before I bought it! I got it home to check the disc, and, no disc.
Well, hey, I got a Wii Classic Controller for 6 bucks, so it wasn't a total loss.

I stopped by a CHKD earlier in hopes that Galvellius: Valley of Doom and Hang On/Astro Warrior was still there but nope. Ironically someone bought those and a new small batch came out:
Action Fighter
Out Run
Both CIB and $3 each. Would still love to have picked up Galvellius though, I searched everywhere incase it somehow got moved around.
