Picked up a loose Game Boy Advance for 1.99 yesterday at goodwill. Also recently picked up another cheap copy of Super Mario 3, and found my first Bally Arcade/Astrocade cart. It's the R5 Basic cart, CIB in decent shape.

My find for the day is a boxed PC SW Tie Fighter. Has inserts, but no manual, 3.5" disks. Also inside is the big box 3.5" SW Tie Fighter Defender of the Empire Campaign Disk (2 disks actually). Anyone know anything about this or value? I've not heard of it, and no copies have sold on fleabay recently.

One of my original TIE Fighter floppies has gone AWOL, I'd be interested in purchasing the whole set of disks from you perhaps (don't need anything else, still have the boxes, inserts and manuals here).

Today's finds:

Well, there was one guy with a huge binder of PS1 games for $2 each! I wanted to buy a lot but only ran away with:

Digimon World 1 (PS1, disc + manual, for eBay)

A bit later I stumbled upon one guy who had PS2 games for $8. I ended up buying:

Karaoke Revolution Volumes 1, 2, & 3, KR Party, and We Love Katamari for $35. He also had several DDR games but I was flat broke after that. The KR games are going to eBay (they're fun but I don't have a microphone and I suck at singing) but Katamari stays with me. Woot!

I bought this today off of CL for $50. Obviously it is broken, but still, I think it is worth it and pretty dang spiffy. I actually live 2 blocks from a neon sign shop, so I'll pop in to see how much a repair would be, if it is possible. Probably more than I want to spend, though. These pics are from the ad...

I also picked up one of the Shaq-sized X-box controllers, and SMB2, Rescue, and Kid Icarus all three boxed and pretty nice, all for $21. A bit pricey, but I so seldom see nice condition NES boxes that I couldn't help myself.

Do you remember our talk about the Sega Pica kiosk a few weeks ago? Because in this case you are sitting on another potential goldmine. Nintendo fanboys would pay hundreds for this. So if the repairs can be done for under $50(puting your total investment at no more than $100) I'd go for it. I mean, how often do you see these things on ebay or craigs list? That is one awesom find. Now if only you had a yellow test cartridge to bundle it with.

In this case I had already bought the sign. It was sitting on the floor in front of me as I typed the message, I just didn't feel like snapping my own pictures.

There actually was one on eBay recently (http://cgi.ebay.com/ORIGINAL-NINTENDO-Neon-Sign-SUPER-MARIO-REPAIR-CENTER_W0QQitemZ170269682709QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em170269682709&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A13|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14). I would have thought it would go for more. Unfortunately one auction doesn't really mean a whole lot.

Donkey Kong Jr Math :)

Niiiiiice. That's one of the hardest boxes to get, congrats to you.

Yeah with something that big auctions aren't much of an indicator of value. It's kind of luck of the draw for how close a potential buyer lives to you.

It's just how eBay is. There's not many sales going on right now.

If you want to sell it... wait until the beginning of December. *wink*

I paid $6 each for Tales of Phantasia and Advance Wars, both cart only. I have been wanting to try out ToP for quite some time, and I'm just happy to have a copy of AW finally. Good day, indeed!

Today's finds came from a little collectible shop in town. The shop had a "3 GBA games for $25" deal so I picked up the following stuff:

Donkey Kong Country 2

Donkey Kong Country 3

The Hobbit

The DKC games are fun, and are pretty good conversions from the SNES. The Hobbit is okay, but it seems too much like a Zelda knock-off to me.

Picked up Disaster Report from Gamestop for $4.99 today since I've kind of wanted to pick it up for some time now, oddly this price was two dollars cheaper than their website had the price listed at.

This week's finds:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2008-10-31-golive4.jpg
$4

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2008-10-31-cds.jpg
Lost in Translation DVD, Clerks and Snatch soundtracks, and the Tenacious D album were $1 at one booth! They had six or seven copies of the DVD, all brand new. I loved this movie for several reasons, so I just had to buy it. System Shock 2 and that BioForge game were $1 each.

Also in the picture are three Dawn of Mana preorder soundtrack CDs. They're sealed, and tiny. They're going to go up for trade if anyone's interested.

My PS2 acquisitions. I'm feeling tempted to keep the Karaoke Revolution games, but I'm not sure yet. I enjoyed the Country game, so...

And my find of the month:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2008-10-31-audigy2.jpg
Brand new and sealed. And they had another set, opened, but I couldn't afford it. :( I'm gonna put this up on eBay and if it sells by tomorrow, I'll get the opened one and put it up too. :p

I should've gotten Fight Night: Round 2 for the Cube today...the package came in the mail but when I opened the case, the game disc was missing! Well, that sucks, I thought. I e-mailed the seller and got so upset I had to get something so I went to Wal-Mart and picked up one of their $20 games...Bully for the PS2.

Nice find on the Audigy 2 Kitsune! Also, the Dawn of Mana CDs aren't actually small, they're regular size. Oddly, the data layer only extends about an inch from the center. I got one of those free from GameStop because I asked nicely when the employees complained that "there's too much old pre-order junk in the drawer."

I already have an Audigy 4, so this isn't of much use to me. I'm hoping someone will buy something tonight so I can buy the other card tomorrow. :p

I've never played that Mana game so I'm not really interested in these CDs... but I figured I'd get them. Maybe someone wants them, you know?

I picked up some more SNES games today, they all kinda strike me as a little odd though with what they came with.

Actraiser - Came with box, manual, dust-cover, and pack in map but without the cardboard insert.

7th Saga - Box, cardboard insert, and dust cover without manual or map

Eye of the Beholder - box, insert, dust cover, and oddly enough the Nintendo Power ad insert, and the Super Nintendo saftey thing, but without the most important paperwork, the manual...

And I also got Dungeon Master loose.
