Keep working on taking inventory. When it's done, post the quantities (that you want to sell) and deal with orders on an individual buyer basis.
I'd be interested in some Sega CD and 32X stuff, but I'd need to know pricing first. Specifically, I'd like Doom and Metal Head. If you go low enough, I'll take several others.

Please, no one else quote RoyVegas' list of games. If we all do that, this thread's going to be unwiedly. That's an awesome find though. I can't wait to see your sale thread. :D
Actually, a lot of people have great finds this month. Well done people!
I didn't get any videogame items this weekend, but I did snag the following games at high school flea market:

put 3 of each sega 32x game on hold for me please
This thread was really only meant to show the find. I'm not going to be selling or holding anything off this thread but once I figure out what I'm doing I will make a new thread. Thanks for the interest though.

Sales are starting to pick up in my area. There was one advertising a laptop for sale, though I didn't get there quick enough to even get a look at it, so evidently it was at a very good price. I did find a few things, though.
- Pokémon Ruby (GBA. Loose in good condition): $10
- Monty Python & The Quest for the Holy Grail (PC. Loose in near mint condition): $.25
- Gameshark (PC. In jewel case): $.25
- Pokémon: Mewtwo Returns (DVD. In a beat-up original case, disc is in great condition): $.75
- Atari Flashback 2 (With instructions and 2 joysticks): $5

You also need the dongle. It's a funny looking thing that goes in a printer port, and has a passthrough port on the back. It's really not good for very much, other than being a conversation piece.

Might I suggest using a digital spread sheet through Excel or OpenOffice's Base app? Make tabs for each system and begin just typing them in as you get a chance and using a column for quantities. Then when you have most to all compiled then just copy it into a Buying/Selling with your own estimates and add you'll work with people on the prices. Good luck!

I've never done anything like this in bulk before. I'd love to try to start moving them but first I have to figure out what all I have. After that I have to figure out what to do about shipping. I've sold a few things here and there but since this is just such a large amount of games to move I really have to see whats going to be the best way to do it. For instance, I don't want to do bubble mailers because I dont want the games to be crushed or broken. So should I ship them in boxes and buy the boxes in bulk or should I go priority mail and get the free boxes from the USPS but pay more for shipping? Obviously the Sega CD and 3DO long box games aren't quite as easy because of the size.
It's all pretty overwhelming to deal with.order the priority mail boxes, go to the grocery store and ask for some paper bags, wrap the boxes in the paper bags so you don't have to send them priority mail, that's what i do for free packing materials.

Here's what I've got so far this month:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/new/DSCF2559.jpg
Tetris 2 in very good condition, not cheap but I wanted to see what it's like - £8
Tekken 2 and Shadow Man for £2 each.
N64 carts for £1 each. 1080 was a nice find, the artwork looked different from the standard UK version and it turns out that it's an Australian PAL version.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/new/DSCF2707.jpg
Resident Evil Outbreak in mint condition for £5 from eBay.
Wipeout Fusion for £2, also mint.
Morrowind GOTY... wasn't cheap... but it's in excellent condition so I didn't mind.
HAWX was only £15 new. Result. :)
Space Station Silicon Valley for Game Boy for £1.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/new/DSCF2709.jpg
Prototype I bought the day it came out. Got this t-shirt for free (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/new/DSCF2713.jpg).
Killzone 2 was £29 used but as new.
Pokemon Silver... only £2 but unfortunately I can't get it to work. Tried cleaning the contacts but all I get is the Nintendo start-up screen and then a blank screen. Might replacing the battery help?
PS1 games were £1 each, except Metal Gear Solid which was £2. I'm pretty pleased with that as I had an incomplete copy of MGS and now have a complete copy (including Silent Hill demo).

You do realize that this only happens in extreme cases, as in if you were a business that shipped in bulk daily and you were using this practice. But for the average joe they wouldn't get anything more than a slap on the wrist. I'm not saying it's right(my post office workers tell me about it every week) but this is just one of the many ways people cut corners.

The gaming gods have blessed me today. It seems like whenever Im not expecting to find something good I find something amazing. I walked into half price books with 15 dollars, I was going to buy a complete final fantasy tactics advanced and a cart only lion king. I was just about to buy my games and I noticed a stack of cd cases behind the counter, I asked the guy up at the front if I could look at them, he was busy with like 4 other shoppers and without thinking he said ok. I nearly fainted because of what I saw. TONS OF GOOD Ps1 games, (I think I may have passed up 2 expensive rpgs).
I convinced my dad to buy me all this for 25$ if dont spend any money on video games for 2 weeks, its going to be tough but its worth it

You mean like him, if he ever ends up selling tons of games to over 30 people? And they DO notice if people use boxes that have the same size as their standard Priority Mail packaging.
Frankly, it isn't worth risking a fine or anything over it.

I actually created a shipping question thread if off topic for the shipping questions. I won't be taking any illegal advice, dont worry lol. Sorry I derailed the thread with the shipping issue.

Nice haul. Anyone who can get Valkyrie Profile PS1 for a mere $5 deserves props. I'm very curious though, do you remember the names of the 2 RPG's you passed on?
And RoyVegas, I'm rooting for ya. It'd be ace if you managed to stumble upon a box or two of sealed Lucienne's Quest.

Star Wars Imperial Assault Tiger Handheld game (New) - .75 (IAP)
System Shock 2 (PC, Complete) - .50 (IAP)
PSone With 1st Party Controller & AC Adaptor $2
These 3 items were all from different sales. The PSone Was labeled as needing TV hookups which was nice as most people are clueless about such things it seems when selling something like a Playstation at a yardsale, $2 was the IAP.
GameCube Memory Card (251) - $1
A buck was the asking price, this was at the same house I got a ton of stuff from last year around August IIRC (mostly GameCube games). I showed up about 10 minutes early on Saturday but very little was new from what didn't sell last year video game wise. I was glad I only spent a buck this year but wouldn't have minded finding a good game or two relatively cheap with what I bought.

I saw this sale advertised on craigslist about a week early and it mentioned an NES with about 20 games in the ad. It also mentioned gold or silver and it's value so that had me even more worried about the NES stuff not being dirt cheap, I was taking an educated guess that it was going to be marked anywhere from about $25 to close to $100.
I got to the sale just before 8 on Friday and the NES stuff was marked $50. I tried offering $20 and when that didn't fly asked about meeting me in the middle. The lady called her husband and it was $50 firm politely mentioning that it was going for more on eBay and that he may even just eBay it if it doesn't sell. I asked about going cheaper if it didn't sell after the yardsale and she said he might, so I'm guessing he may have done $40-45 late Saturday to avoid the hassle of selling online which they obviously didn't want to bother with.
I left without buying it and ended up going back for it just before heading out of that town about an hour later since I only spent .25 after a few yardsales (I actually had $50 in cash on me and some change) and figured it wouldn't be worth saving a few bucks and making a special trip out to maybe get it Saturday afternoon if I decided to try my luck at doing so. Talking to the guy it seems as if he wasen't crazy about selling it but probably needed the money and/or his wife told him it had to go :D

I asked about games at this sale and the guy said he had a Nintendo with about 25 games in the attic and took my number (that always ends well) but lucky for me his wife just came home after he took my number and he went up and brought out this box of Atari stuff that weights about 28 pounds! I looked it over and offered $5 which he took. I was very happy when I saw Barnstorming since I've been hoping to find it for nostagic reasons, same goes for Kangaroo which I remember playing way back when and just noticed when I was going through the games a few hours ago :D
Random Non Find Bullshit
Not much this week I spent more time out and about then usual and probably hit up about 50 yardsales between Friday & Saturday I would guess. Got a bit more of the we/I still have but use (insert old system here) or we did have but sold (insert old system here) a few years ago when we had a sale.

I bought this door less, dirty banged up Nintendo System awhile back at the Flea market for $5.00 with SMB/DH
It has a perfectly working, tight like new 72 pin connector in it(not New 72 rep)..A First for me as the nintendos I find even in box have wornout pin connectors.

I had a couple neat finds at yard sales, even though it seems gaming has all but dried up here, minus the people wanting $10 for xbox sports games, and $50 for an NES because its "an antique". Seriously.
-ball of videogame cables, power supplies, and controllers for NES, xbox and genesis (apparently, they lost the consoles...but not the cords? huh? $1
-Hard drive enclosure, which apon getting home found a 160GB drive inside (woo!) $1
-USB graphics tablet (been wanting one to fool around with for a while) Works perfectly. Even the battery in the pen still works. $5
-regular GBA and 2 pokemon guides (no games?) $2
-Wipeout XL soundtrack (surprisingly cool, its been in my deck since its pickup) $1
-GIANT box of hundreds of European Kinder suprprise toys $5. I've been collecting these things ever since, and this is my best find of them to date. Gonna have my mom over tomorrow, and we're going to have an old-fashioned afternoon of sorting and assembly. Good times :)

checking out the Sears clearance today and I picked up Civ. Revolution for the 360 $14.97. I had picked up the DS version a few months ago for $15 at Gamestop on clearance and I have been having fun with that so I decided to snag the 360 version too. :)
I also picked up a new 120 GB HD for the 360 for $70 :D so I am upgrading from my 20 GB one now. :) They had a new 60 GB one on the pegs for $99 :hmm: LOL

What they'll do if they find out is deliver the item postage due, and charge your customers the rate for teh priority shipping. Then you'll get a nasty message from your customers telling you they had to pay XX dollars extra.

where did you get that xbox stuff?
Two different sellers on ebay.
you remember that one garage sale that you didn't make it to last week? That one that you really wanted to go to but couldn't? That's where he got it. He's a real bastard that way.
You're lucky I like you....jack ass:fist:
Oh, and send me some more of those pix.
I don't think this really counts, but anyhow...
I took my family to St Louis to see my parents for my Daughter's birthday (June 12) as well as my own (June 15). My Mom brought a couple boxes of my "old stuff" from her storage. I was surprised and pleased to see my Genesis system with controllers and games....
Genesis System
SG-6 Genesis Fighter Stick
Two regular Genesis controllers
Street Fighter II SCE (cart only)
Genesis 6-Pak (loooove this thing)
X-Men (CIB)
Aladdin (CIB)
Bubsy II (cart only)
Altered Beast (cart only)
After Burner (CIB)
The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare (cart only)
Sonic 2 (cart only)
Fatal Rewind (cart only)
Acme All Stars (CIB)
... Today was our first day back at home here in Illinois. We realized after looking in our fridge that we really needed to get to the grocery store. Back by the milk cooler is a little bin of DVD's for sale (I know, I found it weird too). I saw The OC:Season 1 on top of the pile. After lookint it over I realized it was new and $9.99... Ah, the Wife would be thrilled! I picked it up and saw Season 2 right under it, also marked at $9.99... Needless to say I bought both.
To sum it up, I guess it's been a pretty solid weekend to turn 25. Yeah....Now if I can just trade some of my XBox games for Genesis stuff....

I had a good day at the thrifts, still having a little trouble calming my beef min...
First stop, church thrift:
I haven't been finding much of anything here these past few weeks. Last week I picked up Clue and Super Empire Strikes Back for $2 each, after seeing them for over a month. Clue is more fun. Today, I didn't see anything new in the case where they put games and "valuable" stuff. Last week, there were two PCs for $10 each, nothing special. This week, there was a different one, a little newer too. Pricetag read "$3 UNTESTED." My buddy needs a PCI modem to set up a PC-Dreamcast server, and this had one, so I picked it up. Then I saw this nice little Dell LCD for $10 that would be great for my retrogaming PC, and I was done there. I almost went home after that, thinking I had my finds for the day, but I kept going.
Salvation Army:
Oh, nice, they put all the CDs on a new ra--XENOGEARS! Black label, some cracks in the case but the discs look good. Also picked up a PC game, Temujin, a 6-disc Myst clone that looked neat, debating switching the cases with Xenogears. $4 each. I wasn't going to try GoodWill today, but after this, I changed my mind.
GoodWill:
They moved the $20 Xbox from the crappy electronics rack to the front counter, so everyone sees it. Still has no cables. Saw some N64 games in the case, but there's nobody free to pull them out so I can see them. They moved the CD racks so you can't turn them anymore, but I didn't see anything new on them. I saw a 3rd party white 360 controller, but it's the break-away-cable type and it didn't have the USB end of the plug. Went to the counter to see the N64 games, which were actually decent. Mostly Star Wars, but $4.06 is more than I'd pay for those. Also a faded label gray cart Zelda OoT. Last game in the stack is Super Smash Bros., which was a nice end to my day.
In short:
PC - $3
LCD -$10
Xenogears - $3.99
Temujin - $3.99
Super Smash Bros. - $4.06

So I got home and tested the PC. Wouldn't POST. Took out the CR2032 battery to reset the CMOS, still won't POST. Took out both sticks of RAM, beeps when it turns on. Put the RAM back in one by one, works fine. It's a 1.2 Celeron, 40gb HDD, with 384mb SDRAM, upgraded from 128mb stock as the spec label indicates. Has a Linksys wireless-G PCI card with antenna, and a PCI modem.

The 2600 was $9.99 and it had a few games priced at $1.99 each next to it. I picked up "Hangman" and "Pac Man Jr". I then found a Zapper for $4 which I picked up because I only have the orange colored one. Also, I found an NES "Four Score" for $3.99. I found a stack of NES sports games at $1.99 each and got "Punch Out" and "Racket Attack".

After looking again, I take that back. You can find this set CIB on ebay easily for about $70 plus shipping. Though mine appears to be in much better condition than anything I can find on there.

If that CIB NES showed up at a value village around here it would've been priced at $80-$100 and been put in the glass case of doom right beside the crappy jewelry and princess diana collectors plates.

Good fucking lord. D:
All I got today was a copy of The Dark Crystal Collector's Edition (the one in the box) for $3 at the local Big!Lots. They moved their DVD and PC game racks around and they had lots of new games, but nothing really interesting to me. Mostly Dreamcatcher Diablo clones, MMORPGs and RTS games.

I hit nine different stores today, found almost nothing. A Mattel Electronics Dungeons and Dragons electronic board game, missing all it's pieces rendering it fairly useless, for $2.99. I have a boxed one anyway, but have never tried it out. I picked this up as a spare. And a baggie with two Xbox lightguns (the bag was torn open and the connectors stolen, of course) along with two GBA to GC cables, $5.45.
I went to a Movie Trading Company location hoping to find some Atari games (didn't find squat) and I saw that they had the same GBA to GameCube connection cables, used... for $39.99 each. What's the deal with these things? They had the GBA SP to GC cables there for something like $7, but the original GBA's cable was $40? Is there something special about these things?

My finds from this weekend;
SNES and N64 lot with 26 games in total (4 CIB) with systems, controllers, and hookups for $20.
Box of around 20 strategy guides (N64 to PS2 eras), bunch of games including MGS (GBC) RE2 (GCN) and both N64 Zelda games for $10.
21 CIB PS1 games for $20.
Sealed Commander Cody (GBC) and Coaster Works (DC) and a CIB Worms World Party (DC) in a trade for a Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye.
Body Harvest and Wipeout 64 for $5.
CIB Atari 5200 with 3 CIB games for $15.
Sega CDX with 12 Sega CD and Genesis games (mostly all CIB), Konami Justifier gun, hookups, and controllers for $25.
As always, pics and a little bit of a story behind each one on my blog. (http://www.rfgeneration.com/blogs/nes_rules/Treasure-Hunt-Chronicles-09-10-1100.php)
If someone could tell me how to resize images in these forums without actually changing the size of the image or using photobucket/imageshack to resize them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Ummmm... There's GBA-GCN cables, and then there's a special one for the GB Micro (more rare, I'm sure). Those are the only two that I know of. GBA and GBA SP both use the same cable.

CIB NES System do not go for as much as you would think. People ask a lot buy it now but they are hard to sell. I had a mint cib action set listed for a week at buy it now $50 and it did not sell. It ended up going at auction for 29.00, I was pretty pissed it went so low, but they usually go for 30-45 it seems typically.

How much it "goes for" isn't necessarily how much it's worth. If I tried to get rid of it in now I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for $30-$45.
In a year or two it might be a very different story... though I really don't have any plans of selling it.

When it comes to online auctions, it just comes down to who sees the ad while it's listed. If a couple different people who had really been wanting a CIB NES and were looking for one for awhile had seen his listing, they would probably have jacked the price up much higher than $29 fighting for it... which is what this guy was probably hoping for.
In this economy, video games aren't a necessity and one of the first things to be cut out for those who are struggling so I'm not surprised to see items like this go for so low.

Gaming and digital entertainment in general is one of the few things not being hit by the economy. Everyone complains about how tough times are, yet they still rush out and buy a DVD or go to the movie theater every week, when they could be setting the money aside.

Well, the store had two types of cables, with the regular ones that have been around forever costing $40 and another couple that were only $7, which might have been the GBA Micro versions. I just want to know why they would think a fairly common cable would need to cost so much. I was wondering if it was for some kind of exploit or something, like the network adapter for the PS2 or Gripshift for the PSP. That's about the only reason I can imagine for their odd pricing, other than the fact that they don't know a damn thing about proper pricing on games. I've bought Atari games like Guardian and Rescue Terra I for their blanket price of $1.99 each, and TurboGrafx-16 CD games for $4.99 each. Then, one store had the Atari 2600 Space Invaders in a case marked up to $9.99 for no reason, even though there were also a dozen on their regular shelf for $1.99. Movie Trading Company stores confuse the hell out of me. But at least I keep picking up dirt cheap Atari games that are fairly rare. Maybe I need to sell my two GBA to GC cables to that location for store credit... LOL
