I haven't been seeking out many finds lately, instead they're finding me:

http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u160/Xexyz1337/IM000531.jpg

Mr.Do! (SNES, complete) - FREE
Dragon Warrior II (NES, boxed) - FREE
Dragon Warrior IV (NES, complete) - FREE
Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure (GBA, new) - $18.99

A good friend of mine just purchased a Mr. Do! cabinet for $250. As a result, he didn't want his SNES copy anymore, so he gave it to me. This same friend also happened to get a box of NES games and the system for free from a co-worker. I only took the Dragon Warrior games initially because they were boxed, but I'll probably take the other games (AD&D, Shadowgate, Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, etc. all loose) soon seeing as he doesn't want them. It's a shame the DW boxes are crushed, but the wear on them is pretty minimal. I'm currently in the process of reforming the Dragon Warrior II box. Aside from the lower left corner, IV is in pretty decent shape.

Seems a bit much for a gba game unless it's super rare and don't know about it.

If this is the game I'm thinking of, it's one of the single BEST games the GBA ever got. It's a sidescroller / platformer that retells the first Dragon Ball stories. I didn't know it got a release in the US.

Haze(PS3)

Haze is my very first PS3 game purchased since I'm still waiting on my Soul Calibur 4 raincheck. Anyway, I hope it's a good game because it will be my first taste of PS3 gaming on my own system.

Walked into Sams club today for the first time in forever. I went into the video game section and saw a paper sign that said rock band 2 special edition 36.77, i figured it was game only or something, then i saw a guy pushing a cart with about 15 guitar hero game and guitar bundles in it. He started looking at the rock band kits so i had my dad watch over all of them and i went and got a flatbed cart. I ended up with 4 copies of rock band 2 special edition for 360 for about 37 a piece. All the employees kept going wow what a deal and seemed worried they did not buy them themselves. I also picked up rock band 2 game only for ps3 for 14, and guitar hero III, the game and wireless les paul guitar combo for 15. So i spent about 180 total. They had a ton of guitar hero game and guitar bundles left for ps2 and 360, but they were the pre world tour games and were priced 10-15 each. They must of really wanted to get rid of them!

Also picked up last night a guys cd collection from craigslist, got about 300 cds for 200. It is all really good music, mainly 70s and 80s rock. I got about 20 rush cds, 20 aerosmith, about 10 black crowes, some acdc, metallica, journey, cars, all really good stuff, and mint.

Also was on a trip this past weekend and hit up come goodwills and salvation armys. Picked up the sims 3 for pc for $6. Also got a few random pc games and things for $1.50 a piece. The best couple things being command and conquer red alert the complete set with the double disc case, and microsoft office 97.

Starcraft + Office:Mac V.X Student / Teacher Edition - $3
Contra + Super C - $6
Civilization IV Macintosh - $5

Other comments:
There was one dealer who had Sega Saturn gamepads and controller extension cables. I saw them when I got to the flea market and decided to go back and buy them on the way out. Well, I went there, and when I got there they told me they were $5 EACH. I didn't have that much money on me so I left them behind. :(

Still sad about that. Saturn stuff is hard enough to find down here. Saturn PADS doubly so. I only have that 3D Controller, I want a regular gamepad. :|

Game Boy

Battle Arena Toshinden
Samurai Shodown
Balloon Kid

Game Boy Color
--
Rayman
Rayman 2

Game Boy Advance
--
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (Japanese version)

Nintendo 64
--
Roadsters

All games cart only. $13 total (the Kirby game was a lot cheaper than it usually would be because it's the import version and the guy at the gamestore didn't think it'd be worth as much... if it had been the US version, he would have charged $25 I think, and I wouldn't have gotten it.). They had a whole box of GB/GBC/GBA games, nothing really amazing (no GB Mega Man, Shantae, stuff like that) but some good stuff, of which I got a few... might get a few more another time, such as Adventure Island II (GB), Montezuma's Return (GB/C), Perfect Dark (GBC), and DuckTales II (GB), among others. But those are what I got for now.

It is the very one. It was developed by Dimps (former SNK employees) and is a single plane beat em up. They later recycled this engine for their Custom Beat Draglade titles, but they pail in comparison, probably because they tried to go the 1 on 1 vs. route while retaining some beat em up aspects.

$18.99 isn't too terrible for a new GBA game. I passed on it for so long that my only option for a boxed copy was at a local retailer. They rarely do price drops.

Gameboy E-Reader bundle! Came with the box, the GB Advance Indigo system, the e-Reader, all the manuals, 5 DK Jr. cards, and 3 other cards. The box didn't have any of the packing material, but that's cool.

Total cost - $19

Well, I started off July with my laptop refusing to connect to the Internet and I'm going to have to send it in. So I'll be on this five-year-old desktop until mid-July. At least repair is free...

Anyway, the guy who had all those free computers found more stuff. Got another Atari 800XL, this makes two. Also got a 1200XL with it too, along with a Wico joystick, a 1050 drive, and another Axiom parallel printer interface.

Today I got the following at the Source (Canadian Radio Shack):
- PS2 controller/usb adapter - $9.00
- DS charging station - $2.00
- a small USB powered paper shredder - $5.00

All on clearance

I also got my wife Lego Indiana Jones/Kung Fu Panda (xbox 360) for $10.00 - she really just wanted lego indiana jones.

edit: I tried out my shredder. It sucks. It will do one page at a time, that's it.

BUT, my PS2/usb controller adapter works great. I couldn't be happier with it :D

I don't mean I got a Limited Edition Box Set, I mean I got a blue WSC console cib along w/ a ton of games. I'm actually probably going to just turn around and resell most of this stuff (but I'm keeping a couple of the WSC games) so I can finance something like a Swan Crystal system and maybe Napple Tale or L.O.L. for the Dreamcast (games I actually want to play).

I am getting a Final Fantasy box set in the mail soon from a member on here.

... I don't know why I got it really, for some reason I couldn't resist. It was pretty cheap? Oh well... it is kind of cool to have I guess.

Majesco-model Game Gear (in quite good shape, with the manual)
Pac-Man (Majesco re-release version, complete in box, though the box has a tear on the back)
Sonic Spinball (cart only Majesco version)

($14 for these things)

Then I got...
--
another Genesis 2/32X/GG power supply to use with it (because without one there's no point, given the awful battery life)
Winter Olympics Lillehammer '94 (cart only)
Super Monaco GP (cart only)

($5 for those three things)

.. Oh, and for a dollar I got a GBA light attachment thing. My Worm Light broke some time back, it's nice to have something to replace it...

I need to find some games...

Haven't really been too lucky this month, though it only started so I guess I can't complain. Will probably hit up the resale shops around town as I haven't been by them in months.
So far I got a Wii Classic Controller: $10.87 at Radioshack. Guess it was a good thing I waited for that. I also got Ruff's Bone at a Resale Shop for a dollar. My brother and I have some Nostalgia for the Living Books games.

Unfortunately that resale shop had little in the way of games besides a PSX. Probably has something to do with a game store being in the same plaza.

I returned to a Goodwill for the second time this summer and discovered they got in an awesome assortment of NES games. Seriously, virtually all really good stuff like Punch-Out, Blaster Master, The Guardian Legend, Strider, StarTropics, etc. The only problem is I already have all of those. :P Well, and at $2.99 they were slightly on the pricey side, so I guess it's good I already got them elsewhere. I did, however, pick up:

Bionic Commando
The Battle of Olympus
Wall Street Kid

I'm really excited about finding Bionic Commando actually, despite how common and unremarkable of a find it is. It was one of the games that my brother had when we were kids, and I've wanted to get it since basically when I first started buying NES games around a decade ago. I found most of the games we had back then nearly right away, but for some reason Bionic Commando has eluded me all this time (and I didn't want to resort to online shopping).

Then I headed over to Toys R Us to buy a game I had seen previously and wanted to get for the Club Nintendo points before June 30 (since I was only 30 away from Platinum status). It's a good thing I didn't buy it earlier since they started a new clearance, and it was even cheaper than before. I ended up buying:

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS) - 7.98
Bangai-O Spirits (DS) - 7.98
Patapon (PSP) - 7.98
Rogue Galaxy (PS2) - 15.98

SegaAges

Incredible Hulk (360) COMPLETE - free
Sambe de amigo (Wii) - free
Bully (360) COMPLETE - 14.99
Lego Batman (360) COMPLETE - 14.99

This puts me 5 away from having every Sega game released on 360 with getting Hulk (since I already paid for Viking and am waiting for it to come in the mail)

Hit up a church rummage sale this morning, it is always good every year, got in line at 725, it started at 8. Was one of the first 40 people in the door, i went right to the elecronics room, i found a few nes games with hard cases for .25 each, about 13 total, then also a zapper and controller for .25 each, i kept scouring the room, i found a 9 inch tv dvd combo for 3 and also a white 9 inch panasonic kitchen tv for 2, so garbbed both of those, i got windows 95 sealed for $1 but i guess its pretty worthless, As im still searching my dad goes how much for this, he found a big box with a sega saturn,2 controllers, all the plugs, and 17 games, the guy said oh its not priced, how about $10? lol so i got it for sure, i also was at a flea market yesterday and got a saturn with 2 back up ram carts and about 7 games for 25, it was randomly in a sega cd system box. The one i got today came with all decent games but nothin really rare, but also no sports either, the games are all complete and clean, a few notables are pandemonium, baku baku or something rather, sonic 3d blast, tomb raider, nights into dreams, and others. I also found a bunch of other things but they are not game related, i have like 5 saturns now! I cant ever find 3do's, but i find sega cds and sega saturns.

Not rare by any means obviously but Bionic Commando probably isn't has common as most people would think it is. I feel exactly the same way as you as over the last 4-5 years I've only seen it twice in the wild and it dosen't seem to show up as often as some other games in the wild for others it seems.

1st time - at the pawn shop for $1 about 3-4 years ago

2nd time - about 3 years ago I saw a boxed NES at a yardsale late in the day with about 25 games sitting kind of off to the side (nothing rare but many good ones Bionic Commando included) and when I went to buy the stuff I was told that it was sold, most likely some family member informed mom or whoever that they were crazy to mark it that cheap ($5 on the NES box, not sure if that was everything or just the system) or said family member said hell I'll (keep?) buy it much in the same way somebody at Salvation Army/Goodwill would get dibs on something good.

Got both of those at a video game store for $6 apiece. Nice posters, don't mind the curling, they were just rolled up for a while, they're in mint condition.

My dad came home with a small stack of NES & SNES games that he got from Salvation Army. He $15 for about 18 of them! I picked Bart vs. The World (NES, R3), SimCity (SNES, R1), Fisher Price: I Can Remember (NES, R4), and Adventure Island (NES, R2). I gave him spares of SMB 2 & 3 in trade for that lot.

Also, off of eBay I got a few games. PS2 Metropolismania for $11 total, which I've been wanting, since I would get $2 shipping for each additional game I went ahead and got Nanostray for $2.99 total, and Viva Pinata special edition for $4.25 total :).

Not videogame related, and not really a deal, but I found a nice case for my Asus EEE PC. It was $19.99. It's made specifically for my model (701). It has cut outs for all the ports and vents.

Picked up Steel Battalion 1 and 2 for X-Box with its controller for 60 bucks. Been wanting this for a while.

Passed up a couple of rough looking 360's at flea market (anywhere from 60-100 bucks), some psps with no charger for 60, and a DSI no charger for 110.

Traded my subs (lol ghetto, but they were really nice ones :( ) for an 80gb ps3 (no bc :( )

Also, I went to a game store with some extra crap I can't even sell on here, and was offered $20...so I went to another one, and was offered $100 :o

I picked up:

Gauntlet (Complete) $5
Thunder Force III (complete) $5 (genesis)

I still have $90 in credit.

I SHOULD sell the PS3, but I might use that credit to get some games...although I like JRPGs and the like, and PS3 has very little to offer me =/

Actually Arena is not complete :( . Looking at the box and Wikipedia I'm missing the 3.5 disk. Pretty big item to be missing lol but it has a CD-Rom version of the game. Unless some were released like this but the box still says that it is on 3.5 disk so probably not. The lady I bought it from had a stack of games and a box of games that were disc and manuals and whatnot bundled together without their boxes so I wonder if I left the disc there. *shrug* Actually I think I prefer having the CD version.

AC Adaptor for GBC & GBP (New In Box) - $1 [IAP]

Silent Hill (Complete & Non Greatest Hits) - $5

I saw Silent Hill at one of the first tables today at the flea market, had a few Playstation games all marked $5 each. I recognized the guy since I bought Final Fantasy VII off of him last year, he was asking $5 for it and wouldn't take anything less when I started out offering him $3 for it so when I saw Silent Hill today I didn't even bother trying to haggle since I figured he wouldn't and I knew it was well worth it at $5 being the first time I've seen it in the wild around here in years. This is one of those sellers that rarely sells at the flea market, say 1-3 times a year.

No kidding. You'd have to pry mine from my cold dead hands. I love Sims 3.
Seriously though, Sims is one of those love it or hate it games. No in between. Still, strange it would end up in a goodwill instead of selling it.

It probably ended up in Goodwill as a Target defect. A lot of clearance stuff that doesn't sell or opened/returned and "defective" merchandise ends up going to Goodwill from Target, or at least that is my understanding.

I see a lot of that at the flea market where I buy stuff. One booth owner in particular seems to get tons of stuff from Target. The UPC's cut off or marked out, but the items are sometimes brand new...
