Guess I'll start this months thread off. Nothing too special from me, just picked up a Craigslist lot earlier this morning for $20:

http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy211/Jasonb1983/Finds/th_IM000569.jpg (http://s793.photobucket.com/albums/yy211/Jasonb1983/Finds/?action=view&current=IM000569.jpg)

A fairly average Playstation lot. I really only picked it up for Symphony. Been holding off in hopes of finding a cheap black label copy for a long time now. I decided to break down and settle for a greatest hits version. The Genesis games, Splatter House 2 and Phelios, were both $15 and $5 respectively from a local game store. I usually don't like paying such a high price for a single Genesis game, but I get all excited whenever I find early release Namco titles. They're a pain to find complete for the Sega Genesis.

Found a nice and clean NES with two controllers (with two stickers from Nintendo Power on them) and six games included: Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2, R.C. Pro Am, Tecmo Super Bowl, Excitebike, Gun.Smoke

All for $20 at a local thrift. Not a bad start.

My finds for the last month, including a package that arrived today:

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/HPIM1322a.jpg

Left 4 Dead 2 strategy guide x3 1 penny each
The Saboteur strategy guide x4 1 cent each
Scribblenauts strategy guide 1 cent
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story strategy guide 1 cent

Gotta love Best Buy.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/HPIM1327a.jpg

Mass Effect 2(360) $19.99
Resident Evil 4 demo(PS2) $3.25

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/HPIM1333a.jpg

Mike Tyson's Punch Out(Nes) $2
Super MarioBros 3(Nes) $2
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask(N64) $2
Mario Tennis(N64) $2

I was the first to arrive for this Goodwill find as they had just put them out. They also had the Nes version The Legend of Zelda but I could hear a screw rattling around in it so I passed. And this is the first time I have ever found a copy of LOZ: MM so I'm keeping that for sure.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/HPIM1338.jpg

Perfect Dark limited edition JP Import version(N64)
Beavis and Butthead: Virtual Stupidity(PS)
Private Idol Vol. 3(Sat)
Private Idol Cosplay Special(Sat)
Super Real Majhong PV(3DO)
Dreamcast demo(DC)
AV Poker(FC)
AV Pachi Slot: Big Chance(FC)
Star Wars: TFU-Ultimate Sith Edition(PS3)

I've been trying to track down a copy of Perfect Dark limited edition import for a while. Now I have both Japanese versions. The AV famicom games were much cheaper than their US equivalents as I only paid in the double digits for them, as opposed to the triple digits and up. Anyway, this was a good way to start the month off.

At various thrifts and pawn shops:

Winsor Pilates Basic 3 DVD Workout - $3
Winsor Pilates Power Sculpting Advanced - $2.75
Winsor Pilates Sculpting Circle Advanced - $2.75
TI-85 Calculator - $5
Windows ME Millennium Edition - $2
Terminator 2 NES Complete - $3.99
Rollergames NES Complete - $3.99
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Wii - $15
Fading Shadows PSP - $10
Star Wars Bounty Hunter PS2 - $5
Yakuza 2 in HWV case no manual - $5
Dragon Age Origins 360 - $5

I flopped on the NES games, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Fading Shadows and 2/3 of the Winsor Pilates DVDs. :( Very happy to find DA:O for 5 bucks though. It was supposed to be $10 and the guy at the pawn shop wouldn't go down at all (was still going to buy it), but then he only charged me $10 for both it and a PS2 game and I didn't complain. :)

Found this at a store that usually has ebay prices and up, but I guess they overlooked this because of how messed up it is from a rental store in the past. Hopefully I can fix this up without ruining the label. I won't get my hopes up though... Cost- $1.00

Not really a find since it's from ebay but got an original Nintendo Power Subscription Kit.

It's from 1989 and has a sweet binder, 3 markers that say Nintendo Power on them, a redeption card for a free year of NP (never filled out!) some other paperwork, and the May/June 1989 issue of NP.

I've NEVER seen one of these and mine is mint and never used!

Nintendo sign wasn't included; just in pics.

Out of all the deals that the US gets I am always the most jealous of the penny guides!

Of my hundred plus strategy guides 99% of them have been purchased for less than $5 while around 50% of them have been purchased for a penny each. If I had more space for them I would have much more strategy guides but unfortunatly they tend to take up alot of space in abundance.

today I picked up star wars battlefront 2 complete for $3. Also mario teaches typing 2 for $2. And lastly a 45 record. There were 3 boxes at a thrift that were obviously donated staright from a record store. I went through and was trying to find anything that looked like it had potentinal to be good. I had a feeling I was the first person to look through the box because it had a lot of good stuff in there. I tried to negotiate with a manager on the 3 boxes they had, making up about 600 45's. But they wouldnt come down enough. So i picked out the 1 I could find on my phone that was worth getting. It was called filthy mcnasty on x rated records, it said not for radio play. I paid 49 cents and one sold for $22 on ebay.

Goonies II (CIB)
Galactic Pinball (CIB)
Teleroboxer (Box)

Had Goonies on my mind lately, so I picked up the NES game on eBay. I plan to attempt to play thru it this weekend... I've already got a GameFAQs map printed out for it.
Virtual Boy stuff came from DP's very own Scissors. Thanks!

Finally a decent trip to the dirt mall. I never see Midway Arcade Treasures 3 in these parts, and I stumble across it for a cool $3, in good condition; I doubt the manual was ever taken out.
The Great Circus Mystery is a rather funny story... I saw a cart only copy at one booth, and I thought about picking it up, since I enjoyed Magical Quest, but decided against it, saying to myself if I was gonna pick up another SNES game, I'll just see if I can find a CIB copy on eBay. The very next booth I stopped at, bam, there it was CIB. "Damn it!" I thought to myself "if only I had seen a cart only copy of Earthbound!"

Of course, it turns out it wasn't complete... for some reason instead of the manual for the game, the manuals for Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario All-Stars and Batman Returns were shoved in there instead. So if anybody has a loose manual for Great Circus Mystery, or if you've interested in the DKC2 or Mario All-Stars manual (I'm keeping the Batman manual), send me a PM and we'll work something out. :)

Not a bad way to start out the month...

Really interested in the Zelda book. I like unauthorized guides, and this one looks very interesting.
The NES box is really nice, but no styro, and the console reeks of smoke.. ah well.

Barker Bill's Trick Shooting (NES Boxed)
Disney's The Little Mermaid II Pinball Frenzy (GBC Cart)

$1ish

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2
Virtua Tennis

(Dreamcast Both Complete) $1

Friday - non advertised sale, the NES game was marked .25 no price on the GBC game, had one other item and offered a buck for all three. Dreamcast games marked a buck each but took a buck for both, passed on a Namco Museum for Dreamcast as it had Crazy Taxi in the case which I already have.

Dirt (PS3 Complete) - $3
Motor Storm (PS3 Complete) - $2
Claymates (SNES) - $2
NES AC Adaptor & Some Misc Generic Stuff - .50

Saturday - the PS3 games were from the same sale and were IAP. Claymates was with a NES with a few games that was brought out when I asked about video games asked $2 and wasen't worth trying for a buck in this case. I saw the NES adaptor tangled with the rest of the stuff no price and the lady sounded like she wanted it all gone so I made the same offer I was going to for just the NES AC.

Things are getting off to a decent start this month, although not so much gaming wise; after all, it's hard to top finding EarthBound at such a reasonable price just a few weeks ago. However, I did have a few finds over the past week:

From garage sales:
- Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64. Loose in very good condition): $.50

I've owned this game for years, but at the price, I couldn't pass it up. I did manage to turn around and sell it to a co-worker for a $2 profit, so it all worked out.

From Game-X-Change:
- Super Mario Sunshine (Gamecube. Non-PC version, complete in near mint condition): $15
- Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2. Complete in very good condition): $17
- Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice (PS3. New): $20

Yes, I bought Super Mario Sunshine again. This time, since the disc is actually in good shape, I plan on keeping it. Now, to get another copy of Luigi's Mansion...

Also, I bought the first Disgaea, since I had been wanting to play it again (Last time, I got side-tracked mid-way through the toutorial and eventually sold it before getting any further); this time, getting further in and actually really enjoying it. Thus, I went back a few days later and picked up the 3rd game in the series...even if I don't have a PS3 yet. I plan on getting one eventually, but until then, I at least have access to my brother-in-law's PS3.

Also, I'll soon be getting a new laptop. It's nothing too special (Not an Alienware or anything fancy like that), but it's a lot better than the laptop I have now; which is 12 years old and held together with duct tape.

My current finds:

http://evg2000.com/finds/20100703/1.jpg
The 2 board games and the D&D games in the upper right corner were markes $1.98, but at the register I found out that they were %75 off.
Monkey Island, calc, knight rider nes, PS3 disk, snses game, gg game, PSP games, and myst trilogy $1 each.
The other nes games $3 each, alien chase HH $2.98, TRON HH .99, saturn game $2.98, and the N64 PS $2

http://evg2000.com/finds/20100703/2.jpg
At one GW I found the LD Karaoke Discs for $1 each, at another GW I found the Pioneer DVL-700 $45 kinda expensive. The LD are going on ebay, not sure what I'm doing with the player (no remote to be found).

Not a lot of stuff today...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2010-07-03.jpg
Return Of The Living Dead 3 DVD - $3
Two Famicom Multicarts - $2 each

Not pictured:
Quest For Glory Anthology (disc with inserts, case has... something on it, feels like oil or cream) - $1
Unreal Tournament 2003 (Mac, CDs w/key) - $2

One of the multicarts caught my attention because it seems to have Adventure Island 3, Monster In My Pocket, "Dream Penguin", and Home Alone 2. I'm hoping Dream Penguin is Yume Penguin Monogatari, but I doubt it. They were $2 each so it wasn't so bad...

The DVDs were 2 for $5, and I had two picked out; unfortunately, the other one I found (the Night of The Living Dead remake with effects by Tom Savini) had a nasty scratch in the Fullscreen side, so I left it behind. :\

Darn, every zombie/horror fan should have this on the shelf. It veers from the original just right if you ask me; a nice little upgrade and the effects are terrific. It's one of my favorite Dead movies. Worth it for the end credits music alone.

The first one or the second one? The second one had sound effects stolen from Acclaim games.

I had a great start to the month yesterday with two of my best finds yet.

There are two Value Villages in Anchorage, and the one furthest from my house gets gaming stuff in on a regular basis. I passed on some loose SNES and N64 games in the electronics secton, all sports. Headed over to the VHS/CD shelves where all the disc-based games are usually kept. Again, mostly sports games for various systems, but then I saw this.

http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Misc/cag003.jpg

Yeah, it's a sports game, but it's a rare and damn good sports game. Oddly enough, the jewel case was missing otherwise the game is complete. I paid $3 and since I already have a jewel case copy at home I now have a CIB. The loose copy is going to ebay.

But wait, it gets better.

My local Play N Trade had this game in their glass case for almost two months priced at $99.99. Thanks to my 10% membership discount and about $30 in store credit for various trade-ins I finally bought it for just under $60.

http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Misc/cag004.jpg

It's the most I've paid so far for something game related, but still a fantastic deal. Even the IAP was still reasonable.

I'm hoping the rest of the month will be just as good to me.

Ran into an old guy I know for years and don't like dealing with..Noticed a pile of new system stuff, let me look.He started off that everything is $2.00 each and if I make a pile it's cheaper.
So I sat there matching things up ,looking through stacks of 34-35 xbox games in sleaves tied up with rubber bands.(piles of sports titles mainly)
Some of the items say FIELD DESTROY and some don't...With that I started to look for what I could use incase something doesn't work for stuff I need parts at at home. such as 360 wired controler breakaway end cords, battery covers, rechargeable battery packs etc.fans for projects...Matching the wireless controllers to the receivers and or grabbing whatever I could.
I made my pile and and he upped he price to $3.00 each item then $4.00..$40.00 $50.00 $60.00....I was pissed dripping in sweat in the sun..
I argued the wasting my time point, slid everything over back to the pile and walked away...he called me back to make another pile, that he'll give me a deal.. ..I told him that I'm only gonna spend 20 or nothing as it's to darn hot to be wasting my time...ok,ok,ok..
So I got all the first stuff and added more and he held out a bag while I filled it...Gave him the $20.00 and I was off..
..(he jamed himself being greedy)
As I walked away he said..Did you look in the other bags I have over there..and they also were filled..Ohhh Noo...I left...It's to hot.
The only thing I didn't find was the Xbox logitech controllers receiver..I have one of these controllers and I can't get it to pick up the reciever.
as soon as I got in the car I started looking through the games and thay are not scratched, several f the games are of games I have Sealed such as Half Life 2 or games I never owned so this is a play pile.I started testing them when I got home and so far they work..
So far everything works,360 controller works great..the Nyco Battery Charger works..Wireless Nyco PS2 controller works .
I'm testing things as wrote this....so far so good..

Stuff I picked up a couple of days ago during a drive to the Shreveport area...
http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp222/StevePW/games.jpg
Cowboy Casino for the 3DO for $7.95, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure for the 32X for $9.95, Plaque Attack and Karate for the 2600 for $2.95 each, and The Electric Company Math Fun for the Intellivision for $2.95, all from a GameXchange in Tyler, TX. Joshua: Battle for Jericho for the Genesis and the Super Wide Gear for the Game Gear were from a Tyler Goodwill for $1.99 each. They also had a copy of Grandia II for the Dreamcast for $3.99, but it was missing the second disc. :( Anyway, the five Colecovision games were picked up at a flea market in Greenwood, LA. One vendor had an old Coleco Zaxxon tabletop game, but it was in an open area and not covered up, so it had been rained on and the weather basically ruined it. If I could have located the owner of the stand, I'd have bought it for a dollar just to mod the case into a tiny desktop MAME cab.

http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp222/StevePW/DCcontrollers.jpg

Are these import controllers? I don't ever recall seeing these for sale back in the day. And that VMU I suspect is for the Sakura Wars Dreamcast game (my only source after Googling the text on the front was a Spanish Wiki page about the game) which didn't come out here, which makes me wonder where it came from and why the game wasn't there.

I found a few things at Half Price Books this weekend. I went to look for some of the newer Star Wars hardbacks and I found Star Wars Fate of the Jedi: Backlash for $13 and it looks brand new! While I was there...

Oddworld Adventures (GB) $1
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS) $2.98
Red Alert: Retaliation (PS) $2.98
Evil Dead: Regeneration (Xbox) $7.98 (going back tomorrow - already have it)

and an HD-DVD movie for $1 - Four Brothers

LOL at selling field destroy, eh?
My old district manager got fired for that, among many many other managers...

Yea the old guy said that he got garbage bags filled of the stuff from"the Guy"..He would not admit to gamestop or where, but he knew all about dumpster diving..Getting into dumpsters.
He talks a lot -to make sales-says he sold a lot already..I dunno.

.................................................. ..............................

.....The best thing for me so far out of the stuff is the Nyko Charge Station..All i needed to do was clean the contacts on the battery packs as they were making good enough contact..
Both batteries are holding a good charge...I'm using them..

I can totally understand why a store would chuck it though, who has the time to clean the contacts.

What I'd like to understand is what Field Destroy means as to what's thrown away..Non sellable may be working stuff thrown out?what's the specifics.

.................
It's sad ...............
I know of kids that would be happy with all those thrown away xbox games

Field destroy means just that. To *destroy* in field.
Basically, we'd keep a box aside for anything that got coded as this,
and when the DM came by, it was their job to verify the contents of the box,
and smash stuff up.
Although, most are lazy, and just chuck stuff out
(or, in our case, take it all home)

edit: as to *why* things are coded FD, it's returned product that is defective that the vendor will not allow to be returned.
It's usually for things like 3rd party controllers, but also like disks that can't be resurfaced (like cracked, or scratched tops)

"Field Destroy" means that corporate authorized the destruction and disposal of items that were returned to the location as defective. Said items held a value that the company felt wasn't enough to justify the costs associated with packaging/freight back to the warehouse and the man hours needed to determine if the item was salvageable or not (and on that note, the man hours needed to actually attempt a salvage).

I never was quite sure how it worked with accessories but more often than not, it was usually the 3rd party accessories that got regulated to Field Destroy status. I can only assume that because they bought these accessories in bulk on the cheap, it wasn't worth the trouble for either GS or the manufacturer to get the item back and there must have been an allowance of some kind for X number of potentially defective units.

It IS a damn shame that so many games would get field destroyed that were in perfectly working order. Some kid would buy the game, not like it, and would sometimes abuse the return policy by saying it didn't work. Given that they were Xbox games, it was hit or miss if the kid was telling the truth or not but considering most GS employees barely make above minimum wage, it's not worth the trouble to fuss with. :-/

What's supposed to happen with Field Destroy item is a district manager is supposed to sign off on the items, remove them from defective inventory, and then assist the store manager in actually destroying the items before throwing them in the dumpster. I've had a few DMs who were lax in that regard and some lucky dumpster diver managed to get a bag of unbroken discs every now and again.

There's plenty more that can be discussed on that subject matter but this isn't the best thread to do it in. To get on topic, no new finds on my end though I haven't really looked. I did get some 3DO games and a GBC game in the mail that I bought from members on here though. ;)

My only guess is that they are import controllers released for Puyo Pop Fever. I remember them releasing SEGA Saturn controller for the PC at the time, but I don't know if they released Dreamcast versions. It is possible though.

Anyway, I went to Disc Replay today as they moved locations and found these things:

LoZ Ages - $7.99

Fairly good prices for their store. Everything seemed to work as well.

Stuff from the last two weekends. (I know, I know. But last month's thread is old, and I just got around to taking photos. This current weekend's finds coming in a few minutes). Click pics for full-size:

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/sportsdcshentn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/sportsdcshen.jpg)Sega Dreamcast Sports Edition w/AC cable, red controller, red VMU, Mad Catz Tremor Pak and Shenmue Disc 3, $8

I talked this one down from $12 after pointing out that the AV cable was missing. This takes my sports DC total up to 3. I just wish the last two I bought had come with the proper sports controller -- I still only have one of those. I want to keep my original boxed, and one I'm going to use for my everyday DC, so I'll be selling or trading the third if anyone is interested.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/skheaddybreathtn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/skheaddybreath.jpg)
GEN Sonic & Knuckles
GEN Dynamite Headdy, $1 for both
GBA Breath of Fire II, $2

Not much to say about these. I already have S&K and DH, but it was one of those rescue mission purchases. You know, where you can tell if you don't buy them, the seller's gonna toss them in the trash at the end of the day?

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/krustysjeopardytn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/krustysjeopardy.jpg)
NES Krusty's Fun House
NES Jeopardy: Junior Edition, $5 for both

With each addition to my NES collection, I'm finding it hard to be picky about the price. In the past, I didn't like paying more than $1, maybe $2 per game, but now it's getting to the point that when I find a game I don't have, I'm spending a little extra to ensure I don't have to continue chasing it in the future.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/gallopracertn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/gallopracer.jpg)
PSX Gallop Racer (complete), $1

Um, it's a horse racing game. It was a dollar.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/bugsaturntn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/bugsaturn.jpg)
Sega Saturn (Model 1) w/AV cable, 1 controller, Bug (disc only) and N64 & DC RF units, $5

Haggled this one down from $10. As the DC above, I officially have too many Saturns, so I'll be selling one or two of them very soon. Give a shout if you're interested.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/3snesdktn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/3snesdk.jpg)
SNES Killer Instinct
SNES Donkey Kong Country
SNES Tetris & Dr. Mario, $5 for all

These were $2 each originally. I think these are a little cleaner than my exisiting copies, so I'm gonna swap 'em out.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2xbgamesharktn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2xbgameshark.jpg)
XB MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (complete)
XB Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (complete)
GBA GameShark (complete), $5 for all

As above, these were $2 each originally. Been looking for the GBA GameShark for a while now, so that was a nice little surprise.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2psx2ps2tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2psx2ps2.jpg)
GC Mario Party 4 (complete)
PS2 Manhunt (complete), $5 for both

PSX Final Fantasy Anthology (complete)
PSX Final Fantasy VII (missing manual and one of the discs; I forget which), $2 for both

Finally found the original Manhunt for cheap. Every copy I've found until now was priced at $7 or more! And what is up with Final Fantasy VII black label? Will I never find a complete copy?

Okay, this weekend's stuff coming next...

If I remember right, they were more geared for fighting games like CvS/CvS2, the MvC games, and the KOF titles that were released on DC. I'm sure games like Puyo Puyo took advantage of them but I can swear they were meant for the fighters first and foremost.

Pokemon Stadium 2 (loose) - $5

I'll be bundling that with Pokemon Stadium 1 and posting it on eBay soonish.

Other finds were incredibly scarce today. One of my favorite vendors... didn't show up, instead we got a bunch of idiots selling crappy three-CD compilations of Mexican and crap music (eg. reggaeton) who usually torture me on Sundays (which is why I DON'T go to the flea market on Sundays.)

Tomorrow I won't go on the hunt. I've got... family business to take care of. Not looking forward to it.

Thanks! Like I said, that was actually from last month, so I cheated a bit by posting in the July thread, but I've been lagging on getting some photos taken until today. Here are my proper finds from this past weekend. As always, click the pics for full-size.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/hillguidestn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/hillguides.jpg)
Silent Hill 2 Official Strategy Guide
Silent Hill 3 Official Strategy Guide, $3 for both

These were originally $2 each, along with an Onimusha 3 guide, which I left behind. There were also a bunch of games at this sale, and a couple Blu-rays, but nothing I was interested in. The SH games themselves, unfortunately had been sold off long ago. I think I've already got the SH2 guide, but the SH3 guide is my first, and I couldn't be happier.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/battalioncontrollertn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/battalioncontroller.jpg)
Steel Battalion controller, $5

This is my second Steel Battalion controller. I think my other one has blue buttons, so this one's a little different. Unfortunately, this one is missing the little screws that hold the 3 blocks in place; when sitting on a table, everything stays together, but you can't pick it up all in one piece very easily. It is also missing the little flap that goes over the Eject button. I have no idea where my Steel Battalion disc is, so I can't test this right now, but it looks to be in okay shape.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/littlebighilltn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/littlebighill.jpg)
PS3 Little Big Planet (complete), $13
PS2 Silent Hill 2 (complete), $2

LBP was originally $15. Seller said yes to $13 so fast, I wish I'd gone lower. Oh well, still seems like a good price. I mostly got this one for my wife, as she dabbles in all sorts of design, and I thought she might get a kick out of it. I popped it in and it seems okay.

SH2 came from a stack of PS2 games, 90% of which were sports. Now I just need SH2 Greatest Hits and I'll have every US PSX/PS2/XB entry of the first 4 games in the series.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/nesheaptn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/nesheap.jpg)
NES Jaws, 1943, Adventures of Bayou Billy, Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers, Captain Skyhawk, Track & Field, Destination Earth Star, Donkey Kong Classics, Dr. Mario, Home Alone, Super Mario Bros. 3, Laser Invasion, Tecmo Super Bowl, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Time Lord, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Top Gun, 3 sleeves, $15 for all

NES Rescue: The Embassy Mission, Simpsons: Bart vs. the World, Super Spy Hunter, Star Tropics, Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland, The Untouchables, 3 sleeves, $10 for all

NES Total Recall
GG Tempo Jr., $5 for both

I only needed a handful of those NES games in the first bunch, but the seller said they were $5 a piece unless I took all of them. I asked how much the whole pile was and he said $15. WHATEVER.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/randomstuffjuly05tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/randomstuffjuly05.jpg)
GEN Evander Holyfield Boxing, Power Rangers, X-Men, $1.50 for all

PSX NFL GameDay 2000, Final Fantasy VIII (missing discs 3 & 4; all were in the same case), $1

XB Star Wars Battlefront II (disc only), $1

PSX Vagrant Story (missing manual and demo disc)
PSX Resident Evil 2 (missing manual), $7 for both

GEN Genesis (Model 2/3) RF adapter, $3 for both

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/ldd-1tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/ldd-1.jpg)
Lexicon LDD-1 AC-3/RF Demodulator, $8

Finally. FINALLY. I have been searching for an LD RF demodulator for ages. If any of you know what this does, you know people aren't exactly giving them away. Except for this one! Plugged it in, works like a dream, and despite the flash in my photo bringing out some flaws in the surface, it's in wonderful condition.

Vectorman 2: $2.50

Wonder Boy 3 - Dragon's Trap: $12

I again found myself driving my mom down to visit a friend in Waco today, so I ended up going seriously out of my way on the way back and hit some thrift stores and retro game stores.
http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp222/StevePW/TodaysGames.jpg
Now that I've stopped ignoring SNES games in the wild the few times I come across them, I'm finding them all the time. Two of those PS1 memory cards seem to be all Japanese on the backs, so I'd say they were imports. The Sega Master System 3D glasses were bought at a Console Game Exchange in Temple for $17.95, the Dreamcast joystick/trackball combo was $6.95 at the FX Game Exchange in Waco, and the Sega titles all came from a Games N' Things store also in Waco. Man, I spent a lot of time in a car searching for thrifts that went out of business years ago but Google Maps hasn't been updated with that info. And searching took so long that all the thrifts I knew were still there were closed by the time I got to them. Ah well, I'll just have to hit them when I drive back and pick my mom up.

This one didn't have the box, but earlier in the day another game store had a boxed one and it said only Quake III, Unreal Tournament, Starlancer, and one other I can't recall were compatible. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy it back in the day, since it only works with four games.

At my church's thrift, I got Risk Global Domination (PS2) for $4.

Went to GameStop to reserve FFXIV CE, and found a few gems in the PS2 bargain bin, all complete and in good shape...

Xenosaga Episode II - $3.99
The Bouncer - $2.99
Armored Core 2 - $2.99

I got into a conversation with the clerk when I asked if they by chance had an MGS Peace Walker CE left. Of course they didn't, but they had an extra bandana, which she let me have. Then I didn't have my up-to-date Edge card, so she had to look it up. By the time my purchase was entered, it wasn't quite right. I overpaid a bit, but I guess that covers the bandana...

Here's how it rung up:

$3.74 for the bandana after tax, I suppose. I can live with that.

At my Gamestop they had a bunch of PS2 games for $2 each on their counter. They were all discs, but they guy got some of the boxes for me, which was cool. Most were sports games, but there was definitely some good grabs in there:

XIII (no box)
Smuggler's Run (complete)
Mad Maestro! (no box)
Dr Muto (complete)
