The booth also had copies of Cobra Mission and Metal and Lace: Battle of the Robo Babes, but the docs were missing so I left them behind.
How much were they? I thought the MegaTech games were rare.

How much were they? I thought the MegaTech games were rare.
Knowing the guy, he would've probably sold them to me for $3-4 each. The outer boxes were pretty torn up, and somewhat water / moisture damaged. Not worth it for a collector or even to resell. :(
The disks were pretty good looking though.
I once sold a set of Metal and Lace with the rare NR-18 disk for $50, I think.

blech. 4 thrifts today and all I picked up was Layton Curious and a Gen 1 ac adapter for 9.62 total (it was 25% off day!) at the first stop. I mostly grabbed layton for the Club Nintendo code, which was good. Yay! I also got around to trying the code from a Brain Age I got a week or so ago, and that was good, too! Mmmm, sweet, sweet, coins.

I hit a heap of stores, found nothing in all except the last one, a Movie Trading Company store where I bought Mr. Do! for the Atari 2600 (loose) for $1.99 and a Coleco power supply, probably for the Gemini console, for $7.99. I went out of my way to get to that MTC location, but after spending the whole afternoon finding jack squat I was determined to find a little something. The Goodwill on my route has shut down due to a fire, and the local Play N' Trade went out of business, so it was a bummer of a day.

edit: oh, didn't see that other guy. Never heard of Mandrake the Magician, myself. You wouldn't, his strip isn't syndicated in a lot of newspapers these days - but I grew up reading the Mandrake strip, and The Phantom, down here. And then, of course, there's the Defenders of the Earth cartoon series - which had Mandrake and Lothario, Flash Gordon, & The Phantom, and their children.
So yeah, wow, childhood flashbacks galore.

That's too bad about the condition, I thought they were just missing the manuals but anything really beat up or water damaged isn't worth it.
The only game from them that I have is a complete CD-ROM copy of Knights of Xentar in excellent shape with the NR-18 upgrade floppy(I hope it's still working) which I found a few years back at a garage sale. I got it with a large bundle of complete PC games and it was one of the best garage sale finds I ever had. I haven't even played it yet but there's just something about these MegaTech games that make them interesting, a main reason to me is that this was the first company to release these types of games in English.

Scored The Next Tetris and Tetris Plus for PlayStation for $3 each at Goodwill. Both are minty and complete.
Was excited to get a boxed copy of Stunt Race FX for $3 as well, but it turns out that I didn't look in the box and ended up with 4 sports game manuals inside(Madden 99, RBI Baseball 3, Ken Griffey Presents MLB, and NBA Jam TE). It was "behind the counter", too. Oh well, I'll take a good condition box for $3, I guess.

I was more excited to be able to cross one of the more expensive DC games off my collection list. Luckily I have only a passing interest in fighting games, and suck at them terribly, for the most part. I played it for about an hour today and didn't notice a thing. ;)
Though, since we're talking about it, is there another home console version of MotW available in the US?

Unless you count Neo Geo AES or more recently XBLA (which is download only), then no, not in North America. It did get a better release on PS2 in Japan though.

That GBC flash cart doesn't boot on my GBA. :( Apparently it needs a special loader which I didn't find, so I guess I can't use it. It's up for trade or sale if anyone wants it.

Nah, it was like that for everyone. Bizarre bug to have :( Really don't understand how it got out the door that way. The forced bilinear filtering was nasty too. The arrange soundtrack was also p. bad, but you could switch that to the Neo version so that's okay.

The Splinter Cell books are pretty decent. The only problem is that there is a major storyline that progresses in each book, besides the main baddy/event that Sam Fisher is working to stop. So if you skip books then you're going to be missing out on that overarching story. Fallout is book 4 in the series.
Do the books overlap with the games storyline? I have all 5 games and have yet to play any of them. Just curious if I should read the book first or play the games first.
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0707.jpg
Star Trek: Starfleet Command strategy guide $1.50
Halo: First Strike novel 50 cents
Good Luck Chuck dvd $3
Smallville figure $3.50
The Smallville figure was a pleasant surprise, mainly since I didn't know they existed. The show was on for 10 years and never had a video game. I know they had other merchandise but I never caught wind of the action figures until now. It's sealed but it has a little damage. Now I just gotta find the other two to complete my set.
And indeed I found the other two:
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0713.jpg
Lex Luthor Smallville figure $3.50
Lana Lang Smallville figure $3.50
Diablo II Battle Chest $5
Monsters of The Mat book 50 cents
Wild 9(PS1) Vhs $1
I'm not sure why the two other Smallville figures weren't there the first day I saw the first one but I guess it doesn't matter. Now I have all three figures from Series 1. However, Lana is missing her necklace accessory. Why do dumbass people continue to steal from Goodwill? I probably shouldn't have picked up the Diablo II set since I'm not a very big pc game seller. But then I thought about it and realized that I've been able to sell all but one of the pc games I've ever listed. So this one shouldn't be too tough to move. The Wild 9 vhs was pretty standard for advertising back during the PS1/N64 days. I have a ton of these things now. And yeah, I got another wrestling book, this one a highlight of sorts for various big name wrestlers.

Dead Rising 2 strategy guide 1 cent
Dragon Age: Awakening strategy guide 1 cent
Another month another epic penny strategy guide find. Well this one isn't that epic really but my main Best Buy had every single one of these tagged this time. They don't do that anymore so it was a nice change of pace. And I took full advantage of it by grabbing everything they had. Well, almost everything. I decided to leave atleast something for my fellow gamers to fight over so I left every single copy of Madden '11 on the shelf:)
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0723.jpg
Epic Mickey CE strategy guide 1 cent
The Sims 3 strategy guide 1 cents
3DO Live Magazine disc(3DO) 99 cents
Resident Evil: Caliban Cove novel 50 cents
Dreamcast Collection(360) $8.99
Alpha Protocol(360) $8.99
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins(Wii) $4.99
Two more penny guides and a new RE paperback. I wish I would have kept the other one so I could sell them as a set. I won the 3DO import disc in an auction. I'm still trying to figure out how many of them there were.
The two 360 games and Wii game were an interesting find. I got them from two different Toys R US stores. Apparently all TRU clearance electronics(not just games) are 50% off whatever they are marked. So for instance Tenchu was marked as $9.98 and rung up for $4.99. Of course, not everything will say clearance on it. The trick is to look for electronics that end in either a "7" or "8". If they do then they should ring up for half price of whatever is marked on them.
But don't wait to long, tomorrow is suppose to be the last day of this deal. And one more important FYE: NONE of the clerks at Toys R Us know about this sale. I knew one of the chics that rung me up at my local one and even though she's been there for over a year she said that nobody told her about it. So when you go in and find something you want feel free to have the clerk/cashier scan it first to make sure it's ringing up correctly.

I didn't find much of interest in thrifts today so I didn't bother with a picture. Slave Zero for the Dreamcast and what looks to be a factory sealed CD single from the Japanese pop group AKB48 from 2007. It shocked me when the sales lady told me my total was 43˘. Turns out CDs were on sale, five for a dollar. Nice.
At the FX Game Exchange in Plano, TX I picked up Super Cobra for the Colecovision and Xenophobe for the Atari 7800, $2.99 each (both loose) but today they were half-off. Also picked up Evil Dead for the Dreamcast for $9.99. And at a Console Game Exchange I bought Burning Soldier for the 3DO since it's the only title they had there I didn't already have.

Do the books overlap with the games storyline? I have all 5 games and have yet to play any of them. Just curious if I should read the book first or play the games first.
I haven't played all the games, but the early stories are unique to the verse, while following this bigger story about Fishers age, his personal life (daughter and girlfriend among some other stuff). Though it does get closer to the games with the later books (i've not read the last book or two, of which I think there are 6 now) as one of the novels is called Splinter Cell Conviction. The later books tie in portions of Fisher's personal life and the stuff that made it look like he was going rogue, which is what SC: Double Agent was about, which lead to SC: Conviction's story.
Finds!
Target has been doing some crazy 'sale' on 3DS stuff. RetroYoungen found that his Target was selling a bunch of titles (mostly Nintendo ones) for $20, including Zelda: OoT. I didn't ask him to snag me OoT, but he did get me the last Nintendogs title I didn't have (2 of them were 20 or less now thanks to a GoodWill find by Carey85 and this).
I swung by the Target across the street from my work to see all of these games that were on sale for $20. My Target didn't have ANY $20 buck games and none of the Nintendo titles were on sale. However they had a different sale for games and those were $17 bucks. Cubic Ninja, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Ridge Racer and a few others were down to $17. I couldn't pass up Ghost Recon at $17 so it came home.

Not too bad on finds, especially after taking advantage of a special offer at Gamestop on top of other stuff:
- Mickey Mouse: Magic Wands (Game Boy. Loose in very good condition): $6
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS. New): $40
- Nintendo 3DS (Aqua Blue. New): $100, after trading in my DSi
I was waiting for a price drop on them, and when I heard there was a special going to get bonus credit by taking in my DSi, I jumped on it. So far, it was well worth it, even if I can't use my trusty old wrist strap I've had on every DS I've owned, going as far back as my original electric blue one.

Went to a number of garage sales today, but the only thing that had anything decent video game-wise was the first. Off a table full of pc games I picked up The Ultimate RPG Archives from Interplay (discs w/ fatty manual), Menzoberranzan D&D game from SSI (disc + manual), and two Starcraft add-ons: Retribution (disc only) and Insurrection (jewel cased)... all for $3. Any of those worth anything?
Passed on stuff like Baldur's Gate and NVWN. Might have been some worthwhile stuff, but there was a ton, and he seemed to know the value of things as he was quoting individual prices on things (which I hate, would rather just things be marked). If all this stuff had been in their original big boxes I would have shit bricks. There were several more SSI games that I was tempted on, but I have them in their original floppy form. He also wanted $8 for Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, and said that these games were really in demand. He seemed to know what he was talking about, so I just thought I was uninformed, but it doesn't appear to be worth anything much.
Also stopped by a thrift and picked up a SNES with a chuck out of the plastic for $4.50 loose.

The Starcraft add-ons are kinda worth something to the right buyer. If they're the ones with proper campaigns and not just a bunch of random levels stolen from the internet.

So far, it was well worth it, even if I can't use my trusty old wrist strap I've had on every DS I've owned, going as far back as my original electric blue one.
Actually, you CAN use wrist straps on a 3DS. There is a spot in the bottom right hand corner when you have the screens facing you. This is to the right of the power and charge indicator lights. There are two small holes through which you can thread a wrist strap.

Ah; so they moved it from the usual spot of next to the cartridge slot. That's good to know

I went back to that booth, picked out even more stuff:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-08-13a.jpg
Space Quest Collection (complete, but box is very water damaged)
Gamefest Forgotten Realms Classics (new)
Stay Tooned (new in jewel case)
Dungeon Keeper 1
Playskool Puzzles (Bandai Pippin)
Interplay's 10 Year Anthology manual - I already have the game somewhere, yay
And this:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-08-13b.jpg
The Quest For The Rings x 2. These are not complete, not by a long shot. But I grabbed 'em in case someone needed the pieces or carts! The Master Strategy one has the cart, instruction book, the overlay, a game board map, two castle tokens (one crystal cavern, one shifting halls - missing 19), three Dragon Monsters, two Nightmare Monsters (missing 1), 1 Quest, 1 Hourglass, 6 Possessions (missing 2), and 7 rings. The Expanded Memory Cart one has the cart, instructions (very worn covers), overlay (has a corner cut off), game board map, a sealed castle token baggie, and one Dragon Monster token.
All of that was $15. Yes, $15. And he brought a ton more CD-Rs, too. I'll be looking at them on Monday.
Now... you remember how I kept asking myself who this guy was? I got even more confused because... there was a CGE 2K2 booklet between all this stuff. There were several Amiga and C64 programming books in the mix, too. It's all sorts of weird. Who was this guy, and did anyone of us know him?
Not to mention some of the CD-Rs I looked at said they contained CGE2K2 stuff. I'm picking those up when I get the chance.

Getting it home and into my basement was another story,I had to call in reinforcements.
.The Soda machine is 275 pds and the top that is a separate bolted on units is around 100 pds.
It needs TLC..The machine gets Cold-I let it run.. and has adjustments to get it colder or not as cold..I bought the Three manuals for it online for $10.00
Three coin mechs were jammed ,I fixed them already..It had a few SPRITE soda cans in it from 2007,the coin mech was jammed so I guess the guy just left it jammed...
Fixing the jammed mechs I’d say is not any easy task so I could see someone just saying the heck with it and using the rest..
The machine came with all it’s keys and had $5.00 in quarters in it..
Right now the machine is all set up and works.
It needs TLC..Shine up this and that.I need to take off the top Snack part and buff or paint the “was chrome parts near the coin in dials..This all comes apart I just time need to get to it..
This artwork is stick on(like a Arcade Machine Marquee) so anything can be put on it as I was planning to Make it into a Coca Cola machine as my wife collects Coca Cola..(Coca Cola Artwork on this Black machine)
I am pressed for time,we have a third Child coming and Family (Step Father has a Brain Tumor in hospital that I am in such a whirlwind.
The tenants that used to live below me moved out, when they did I started to rearrange the basement(secure thing) for when new tenants move in..
There are new tenants to move in soon so I moved the Soda machine yesterday farther back into my storage are where I can work on it use it and it not be touched by tenants..Doing that I had to move all the stuff that I had in that spot..
Right now it's taking up room so If I could I'd sell it..
If you know me you may,or read my posts you may have have remembered me saying how many boxes of old/Video Game Magazines I have boxes and boxes of Video Game Magazines ,and other type magazines..
Since I had to move around 4 boxes of the magazines I decided to-re box some and go through them real quick..
These are what I brought upstairs..
Picture album of all the magazines I brought up..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/MAGAZINES/MAGAZINES064.jpg
Original DREAMCAST,etc...4 pages.
I have a lot more downstairs.
..Some of the Dreamcast Magazines I already had up for sale here and at Neo Geo.com..The sale was finalized but the guy never paid me and wasted my time..
So I’m going to put all these magazines up for sale..
Good thing about looking through stuff is you find things you misplaced.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 (PS1, Disk & Back Insert) - 1
3 NES Games & Star Wars Rogue Squadron II (Complete) - 4
Pikachu GBA SP, Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced & Desktop Tower Defence - 3
Dexterity, Pokemon Yellow & Blue, Solar Strike, Yoshi's Island (No Label, GBA) - 6
Oddworld & Resident Evil - 1
Daytona USA Deluxe (PC) - .50
Alpha 3 was from a sale advertising "Video Games" that I got to pretty late, had a few PS1 games incomplete like Alpha 3 left for a buck each. Asked about video games at one sale and GameCube games were mentioned and brought out with a surprise of 3 NES games also rounded up. Was asked to make an offer if I was interested in anything, I offered 3 and was countered with 4. The Pikachu GBA and Desktop Tower Defence were marked 2 each so it would have been 5 total. This was my last sale for Friday and it was about 12:30 and the guy offered to let me take all 3 for 3 instead of 5. Game Boy games were 1.50 each and 2.50 per a GBA game at one sale, offered 6 for 8.50 worth which was taken. PS1 games were .75 each took a buck for both. Daytona was a buck but took .50.

As Is SNES With 21 Games & GTA Game - 21
My first stop Friday as it advertised the SNES & games. System was free as it wasen't working and the games were mostly a buck each, a few of the 1st party games 2 each & Super Mario All-Star 3. Was 28 total and took 20 for all, went back and grabbed the GTA game for another buck.

Decent Maximum - Last Week
GBA In Pokemon Soft Case (No Battery Cover) - 1
GBA SP With Zelda 4 Swords - 2
Extra Bases (Game Boy) - .50
Everything Else (No Battery Cover On GBP, SSB:M Complete) - 12
Decent Maximum actually came with last Saturday's Playstation games and was lost in the car and forgotten about until today. The GBA stuff was asking price from 2 sales right by each other. Asked about games at one sale brought out about 15 Xbox games and Extra Bases when I asked it was 2 but I said I was thinking more like .50 which was taken. The rest of the stuff was from a sale I've been to before but I stopped by since this time it was advertising "Game Systems". Everything totaled up to 15.50 or something like that but offered 12.

I think that's the set a Kmart nearby was flooded with last I looked. Might've been marked down to under $10 recently there, not my thing so I haven't paid attention...

Electronics Flea Market was today and aside from some tools and components I needed, I only came across and bought one thing...
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2011-08-13(01).jpg
Grim Fandango complete with the strategy guide for $10.00.
It's all in great shape and the discs are completely flawless. Only blemish is the NFR sticker on the front of the box. It looks like someone attempted to remove it at one point and realized it would wreck the box and stopped. Kinda strange that there are two copies of the manual inside.
Guy selling it had a few other PC games in great shape but nothing that called out to me. To be honest there weren't many people out there this month. I'd like to compare it to the previous market but I missed that one due to it taking place on the same day as the first day of California Extreme this year. The one before that was pretty calm though.

Grim Fandango complete with the strategy guide for $10.00.
Awesome score! With the guide, no less? Excellent.
As for that sticker, you can likely get it off of there with a lot of care and patience. I pride myself on being able to remove stickers from even the most delicate labels and boxes. You might even spot test a bit of Goo Gone on the back corner of the box, or the part of the top flap that tucks into the box -- many times, you can peel off the majority of the label, and use a paper towel ever so slightly dampened with Goo Gone to remove the residue left behind. I've used it successfully on N64 and NES boxes with no damage or staining, afterward.
Either way, congrats!

I'm not going to worry about it. There's already a tiny bit of damage from where the removal was previously attempted. It's not a big deal to me.

Traded a handful of fairly common snes games for these the other day;
Crusader of Centy - no manual
Lightening Force - cib
Metroid Fusion
Japanese Sega Mega Drive 6 button controller sj-6000

I really like the japanese version of the 6 button controller, it's a slightly different shape than the one we got and almost the same size as the Majesco turbo ones, 3 foot cord though :/

Yard sale today. Walked by a old fellow's house and a sign said "tools, guns and knives". Kind of surprised when I saw this sitting on his driveway:

He told me I could have it when I asked and he asked if I knew what it was. I told him it was an old game console and he looked at me like I was crazy. Weird.

So I really haven't been posting in the finds threads much, as my recent stuff hasn't been terribly good but I went to the flea market this morning and....
http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac5/Ryaan2000/Finds81411-1.jpg
Instant LD collection (AKA Big Tub o' Laserdiscs) - $30
Well, let me start with this. I went to one of the usual flea market vendors (who has mostly video games and electronics) and saw this big tub of laserdiscs. I asked about it and they said $30 for the whole tub. I did a quick thumb-though of the grouping and there's over 50 there. I figured it was enough to keep some and then sell the rest. The one in front is a Japanese (I think?) copy of Evil Dead. There's also a collector's edition Terminator 2. Most of the box is horror and action movies, with a large amount of Wes Craven films for some reason.
http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac5/Ryaan2000/Finds81411-2.jpg
Soo... I'm walking away from this big Laserdisc purchase and literally 4 booths down I stop to look at the electronics and see this bad boy looking me in the face. The guy wanted $35, and I offered him $30 which was accepted. Yes that's a Laseractive with the Genesis add-on thingie. Yep I did look everywhere around the booth but the remote, controllers, AV or games were nowhere to be found. A shame it's bare like this but dayum! It's a Laseractive!
Final Fantasy I & II, while not as exciting, were $4 a piece from the first booth (with the LDs).
All in all I'm very happy I went out to the flea market in gorillion degree weather today. I've been looking for games at flea markets and garage sales for years and this is the first Laseractive I've seen in person!

Wow, very very nice find on the Laseractive!
I notice that a lot of original LA owners had no games for the thing, or only Genesis/Sega CD games. Seems like many people bought the Genesis module for its CD+G karaoke support (yes, instead of the official karaoke module) and saw games as a bonus. If they bought any games at all, it was normal Sega games and not MegaLD games.

Nice pickup, Ryaan! Laseractives don't come up too often. In fact, I'm mere moments from ditching mine. It's huge, and I absolutely never use it. Definitely a cool conversation/collection piece, though.

So yesterday was yard sale hunting day and I had three picked out to go to. On to the first stop:
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0750.jpg
Psp 1001
Case
Charger
Wipeout Pure
Crash Tag Team Racing
I arrived an hour early to this yard sale since they decided to start it an hour later than scheduled. But the guy asked if I was looking for something particular before I left and I told him I saw that there was suppose to be a Psp. So he ran in the house to get it(since they were still setting up) and bought it out. The lot included a Psp, case, the charger and two games for $20 total. Up till this point I have never owned a Psp or a Ds so finally snagging one(after collecting games for both over the last several years) was a nice milestone to achieve.....right as the next gen handheld race starts. The unit is worn and one thing that sucks is that the analog nub is missing. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement one of those(the stick part is still there, it's just missing the analog nub cover that goes on top?
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0748.jpg
PS3 60 gig(with replacement 120 gig hard drive) $100
Your Shape Fitness Evolved(Kinect) $10
On the way to the second stop I didn't realize until I was about to turn on the last street that I had been to this house before for a yard sale a few months ago. The seller was an older gentleman that was a huge gamer. Last time I bought a bunch of games and Windows software from him for really cheap. This time he was on the phone with his bank so his wife and other family members were manning the yard sale. At first I only grabbed Your Shape because it was cheap for a Kinect game and perhaps the work outs could motivate me alittle bit. But after I left and started driving away(because I didn't want to get yet another PS3) I realized that I could easily double or triple my money back. So I stopped at a bank to use an atm and went back to purchase the PS3 they had marked as "$100 firm". It's definitely not a bad deal but now I have three PS3's and two of them are 60 gig originals. Sadly he didn't have any PS3 games for sale this time though. But it came with a dualshock 3 controller so I'm going to swap that out with my sixaxis so that I now have two dualshock 3's.

New Super Mario Bros Wii strategy guide 1 cents
Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 strategy guide 1 cents
The Sims 3 strategy guide 1 cents
Modnation Racers strategy guide 1 cents
Codes & Cheats Fall 2010 1 cents
Before I went home I stopped at my local Best Buy to see if they had any more penny strategy guides and picked up a few more that wasn't at the other ones(except for The Sims 3 which I already have). Nothing special but I'll make alittle something something off of them especially the New Super Mario Bros Wii guide.
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0746.jpg
Spider-Man toy 97 cents
F.E.A.R.(360) $3
Kirby's Adventure(Nes) box free
I also stopped at two Goodwills. The first one had F.E.A.R., which is the first good 360 game they have had in a long time. The box for Kirby's Adventure looks absolutely new except that it isn't sealed. Inside was a copy of Mendels Palace so I'm not sure if they received it that way or if a customer put it in there but I took it out before going to pay and after showing them the empty box they didn't charge me for it. And I of course left Mendels Palace for someone else to pick up. The Spider-Man toy is fairly larger than a normal action figure, talks and shoots his web shooters. I was going to pass on him but it's not like 97 cents is going to kill my bank account. And then there was my last yard sale stop...
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0738.jpg
After seeing that sign on the front of the box I started to look thru it and picked a few things out:
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0745.jpg
But those few dvds eventually turned into this:
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0739.jpg
I got about $25 worth, which came out to 50 dvds. The way I see it, it's pretty much like people who pay for movies at Red Box kiosks except for two small differences. First, I only paid 50 cents per movie while Red Box customers pay a dollar each. And second, after the first night I get to keep all my movies and can sell them at my leisure. But the movies wasn't the main reason I went to this yard sale, they were more of an extra bonus. The real reason I was here was this:
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0742.jpg
http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0751.jpg
Sega Master system, 4 controllers, light phaser, ac adapter, several games $6
I've never had a Master System. Like 95% of all other kids back in 1985-1989 I owned an Nes and the only time I got to play the Master System was when I visited my cousin and we went to their friends house who owned one. It's definitely the oldest system besides the Nes that I would actually collect for since anything earlier than that is garbage imo. And I did enjoy the few times I actually got to play it.
Since this was the last yard sale I went to I didn't get there until around 11 or so, a good three hours after it started. For that system and all those games to have been sitting there for so long with that price tag leads me to believe that they didn't get many shoppers that day. But it was kind of on the outskirts of all the other major cities in my county. While the system has it's ac adapter it's missing it's rf adapter and a/v cable. I know that you can only use one or the other but my question is rather it has to be an offical Sega rf adapter and/or a/v cables or can I just get a generic version?

The unit is worn and one thing that sucks is that the analog nub is missing. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement one of those(the stick part is still there, it's just missing the analog nub cover that goes on top?
dealextreme.com has a small pack of replacement analog pads for somewhere around $2. I bought one a while back and it includes two pads that are identical to the factory version.
EDIT: Here it is. (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/8-piece-black-buttons-cap-kit-for-psp-3644)
While the system has it's ac adapter it's missing it's rf adapter and a/v cable. I know that you can only use one or the other but my question is rather it has to be an offical Sega rf adapter and/or a/v cables or can I just get a generic version?NES and Genesis RF units will work just fine. Genesis Model 1 A/V cable will also work, if you have one lying around.

got from Craigslist. paid $65, which is not really a exceptional deal or anything, but definitely fair. Lemmings was one of the games i still needed, and all 6 boxes i didn't have. besides the RBI Baseball box, they are all minty as hell. RBI and tom & jerry don't have manuals, but all others do.

It's been a while since I last posted. I spent most of my summer at geology field camp for school so I haven't had much time to be online or look for games. Just got back into town about a week ago and was able to hit up garage sales. I got everything below for $62 total.
http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Games/ps1001.jpg
Found this at one sale in a bin of mostly loose PS1 and PS2 games. It's GH and missing the manual but all three discs are there. This is the third copy I've come across that did not include the manual, so i'm still looking for a nice complete black label FFVII. Sellers were asking $5 per game, I offered $2 and they accepted. Passed on loose and scratched copies of MM8, MMX4, and Bushido Blade 1 and 2
I scanned this sale from the road and initially decided to pass since I saw mostly little kids stuff, but because I was already there I went and checked it out anyway. I'm really glad I made that decision.
http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Games/ps1002.jpg
This lot cost me $10. Everything is complete and in amazing condition except for DW VII which is missing Disc 1. I even asked the guy running the sale to check for it inside but no luck. If anyone has a spare Disk 1 let me know as I'm willing to pay or trade.
The last sale I went to advertised games and for some reason started at 2pm. Saw a bunch of boxed Warcraft figures and several totes filled with PS1, 2, and GC games. I got the following for $50
http://i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae237/philinchio/Games/ps1003.jpg
Again, everything is complete and in amazing shape. FF Anthology and Odin Sphere are sealed. Definately paid a bit more than I was hoping to, but still a really great deal I think. In hindsight I probably should've left Contra and Maximo since I though they'd be worth something, but I hear they're pretty fun games so I'll consider holding on to them for now.
GH FFVII, a FFVIII, FF Anthology, Odin Sphere, Contra (possibly), and the PS2 games (possibly) are for sale or trade.

So I got my biggest lot EVER a few days ago. I had bought a few things off this woman last year, and she posted an ad on kijiji for the n64 games, and we worked out a deal. I then went over and asked if she had anything else I could look at. I couldn't believe all the things she had!
Forgive all the images:

Ahh, the misprint box! Not a lot of those out there. I have one, and someone on Atariage does, and now you do too! Nice find!

you sure thats what it is? The system pictured on the box also says atari 2400 instead of the typical 2600 on the vader models. The system in the box was a typical 2600, did the 'misprint' boxes also have misprinted systems?

The 1 2 P: That Golden Axe Warrior game is worth a lot more than $6 alone... my copy was $16 and it was a great deal at that price.
Nessfreak: That misprint box is worth a bit I bet. Brag on about it!
Ryaan: A Laseractive for $30? My NES was more than that!
As for me, I found the following around 6 pm on August 13, 2011:
Cybermorph (Jaguar)
Val d' Isere Skiing & Snowboarding (Jaguar)
Bravoman (Turbografx-16)
and the best find of all...
A complete, sealed copy of "Conquest of the World" for Odyssey 2... in mint condition! Wonder if that's really 30 year old plastic sealing it?
I may have to add a boxed Sega SG-1000 to my August finds... depends on if I can get it (: The SG-1000 would ship in mid-September though.

As soon as I saw that MS lot, I thought "wow, I can't read most of the titles, but I can see Moonwalker and Golden Axe Warrior and I know either of those alone is more than worth $6".
I and the wifey went on a road trip this weekend and hit a couple dozen stores: Best Buys, K-Marts, Half Price Books, Goodwills, Mom n' Pop Shops, etc.

Now THAT is my kind of road trip!! Looks like you had a hell of a time!
I'm on vacation right now in Michigan and so far I've bought only a couple of Dreamcast games at fairly high prices at Game Quest. :( But at least I'm in 75 degree temps instead of 105 back home!!

I stopped in at my local Salvation Army in the hopes of finding speakers, but found the following instead:
The Adventures of Dizzy (NES)
Quattro Adventure (NES)
Bard's Tale (NES)
They were all 2 bucks a pop, which is a pretty good steal in my opinion.

$2 is usually my sweet spot for random NES purchases. I'll buy pretty much any title I don't own at that price point.

How many finds make it on this website that are bought using arcade redemption tickets?
Was at the world famous Worlds Largest arcade aka FUNSPOT in weirs beach NH yesterday and I played a bunch of games including the Ticket Redemption games of course and ended up with 506 tickets. Saw this drinking glass for 500 and thought why not would be cool to have a piece of FUNSPOT memorabilia!

Nice! Does it include the manual too? I keep seeing NBA Basketball 2K3 and having my heart skip a beat, only to remember that it's NCAA College Basketball 2K3 that's rare... :(
