Those look like more than "crappy label" NES games, if you catch my drift. Have you tried any yet?

I have that Coltrane album. I actually really really dig it. You should like it if you like either Monk or Coltrane or jazz...word is that the recordings of them playing together got lost for years and years...these recordings were found and restored not too long ago afaik.

My recent finds:
Atari 7800, just the console - $5.
Not sure if it works but an adapter's on the way. Worth it even for parts.

Custom Robo Arena (DS) - $5.

Atari 7800 Asteroids and Food Fight - $2 each.

Not bad for $25.
http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/Picture151.jpg
$3 for Quickbooks and $1 for the SNES tele-center. Plus a stack of classic rock LP's @ .25 each.

Walked into a thrift yesterday and saw this:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/tbsJordan/P8080920.jpg

Inside- 60 Lightspan games, all complete and only one double

Today I received a lovely gift from a good friend in the UK:

- Xenoblade Chronicles w/ Red Classic Controller Pro (Brand New)

Can't wait to play this on my "region-free" wii

The Sims 3 strategy guide x2 1 cent each
Mass Effect 2 strategy guide x2 1 cent each
Red Steel 2 strategy guide 1 cent
Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection(Psp) 97 cents

More penny guides from Best Buy. It's so amusing seeing how amazed the cashiers get when thye ring me up. One of these days I'm going to have to make a video out of it. The Aeon Flux Psp collection was on clearance and was priced nicely to complement my recent $20 Psp system find a couple weeks ago.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0782.jpg

Xenosaga(Ps2) $2
Xenosage II(PS2) $2
Xenosaga III(PS2) $2
.Hack//Infection(PS2) $2
.Hack//Mutation(PS2) $2
Final Fantasy X-2(PS2) $2

Not being an rpg fan by any stretch of the imagination, I kind of just winged it when I picked these up. I didn't know if any(besides the FF game) were popular or in demand but I remembered seeing several PS2 rpg lots on ebay over the last few years that went for hundreds of dollars. After looking these up it appears that some of them are indeed worth some decent money. Now I just need to decide rather to sell them seperately or grouped together.

Let me know what you've got! The box is from the later Plato releases. I don't have many of those. (Plato bought Lightspan before they killed that division, those games aren't as common).

I have tested each and they all fire right up. I likely overpaid for the lot by a hair, but it was the largest prototype collection I've come across locally. I just had to pull the trigger. Needless to say, I'll be taking some time off from big ticket items.

Included in the lot were copies of both War on Wheels and Mini-Putt, two games I didn't ever expect to acquire. There are a number of other good titles in there, but that's it for unreleased stuff.

This brings my total NES prototype collection in and around 120 or so games. I'm really pleased with the purchase, and it's a perfect ending to a wonderful summer break.

I didn't do much today, picked up:

SNES:
Carrier Aces - cart and box only

PS1:
Primal Rage - Longbox, missing manual

PS2:
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - CIB

Paid $4 ea, might have overpaid for Carrier Aces, but it was more sentimental value, me and a good childhood friend (who is now in the Coast Guard), used to have sleepovers and play this game for hours at a time.

These are cool. From what I've gathered, they weren't available to the public, only to schools as they are all educational games. If you don't mind me asking, what did you give for the "set"?

I found a lot of game stuff today, but not much that I wanted to collect. I did find some Atari stuff, though. $3 each, except Dragonstomper, which the guy gave me for free. Considering how hot it's been and the life expectancy of magnetic media, there's no chance it still works, but I've got my Stella Gets A New Brain CD so it doesn't matter. He did have a couple other Supercharger cassettes, but they were two I already have, Mindmaster and Phaser Patrol. No Supercharger to go with it, sadly. I was just stoked to find three CommaVid games! Hell, I was happy that any of the stalls out there were open considering the crippling heat.

I went into downtown Vancouver & Richmond, BC for my birthday. I picked some nice (and cheap) presents for myself!

My first stop was Bookoff in Vancouver. They had an excellent sale going on: buy $50 worth of used merchandise and get half off the total! Although the game section was picked through, I still found some decent import titles:

Tales of VS (Used, CIB) - I’ve only messed around with tutorial mode so far. The game feels like a mix of Super Smash Bros. and Final Fantasy Dissidia.

Chou Gekijouban Keroro Gunsou 3: Tenkuu Daibouken de Arimasu! (Used, CIB)
It’s a platform game w/ puzzle elements. Actually, it’s a lot like the two Klonoa games for the GBA. Well, at least Sgt. Keroro’s game play is. The different playable characters each have their own game play styles, so it keeps things interesting.

Inuyasha: Sengoku Otogi Kassen Limited Edition (Used, CIB)
It includes the game, a fan book, and a special limited edition trading card.

Tales of Phantasia SFC Strategy Guide - I got this to meet the $50 minimum total needed to get the sale discount.

The grand total for everything above was $27.00.

The places I went browsing through in Richmond were all busts. I saw some neat things, but they were either overpriced, or waaay out of my budget range. For example, I saw a copy of Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX for the PSP, but the price was $88.00!

Anyway, my last stop was an independent game shop, where I picked up the following guides for $3.00 total:

Valkyrie Profile Strategy Guide (Used)

Ape Escape Strategy Guide (Used)

Xenosaga III is the most expensive game from that lot. Your disc only copy is probably still worth $10 because complete copies are going for $30 and up. As for . Hack, the ones I have aren't the real money games unfortunately. Those would be the later ones.

I'm in the process of moving (again) but went to the thrift store today and coup.

All of this stuff for $69 and change.

NES Games: $17 for all
SNES: $33.95
Newton: $12.99
Driver 2: $1

http://i52.tinypic.com/28vq0l1.jpg

Some SNES Mario games, Donkey Kong, and Mega Man 2 with the manual are notables. I bought those lots to sell as I don't collect Nintendo. Should help me get that new graphics card I want.

I wanted the Newton. Minus the box, I think I have a complete Newton. Pretty damn hard to find (let alone the original manuals, Mac floppies, and other stuff). Might sell it but it would look real nice in my vintage computer collection.

I actually took a lunch break from work today - just to get out and see the world - and hit 4 stores, including Salvation Army and Entertainmart. I came home with only one thing - a Beyblade stadium, brand new for $1.93 at a thrift store. My kids love Beyblades, so they'll enjoy this. Made me feel like I didn't waste an hour of my day, too.
