If I'm not mistaken, it was just last year that I replayed Wonder Project J and its sequel, and while I normally wouldn't be up for another replay so soon, I did so in order to refresh my memory before participating in a project related to it. I started last night and finished today, and it's just as fun and charming as ever.

So I have no idea what you guys wanna call beaten in Skyrim. As i found out theres no credits after being the last story mission. So I am gonna call it good. I mean its the story and thats what the games based on so what the hell right?

Anyways. The game is amazing. Amazing graphics. Massive world (although i think oblivion had a bigger world and some told me morrowinds bigger then that so whos to say right?). I felt kinda weird going from oblivion which its biggest city (imperial city) to white run. Its quite the change in scenery. Kinda feels like going from New York City to say Albany New York. But hey whatever. Different regions call for different ways of life i guess.

Some of the updates I felt were cool like the signs which gave perks for your character after you level up. That was a nice touch after they been toying around with a similar system in their Fallout series. Some of the updates felt odd and didn't make sense. Like for instance they did away with repairing gear. Although i can understand repairing after every big dungeon exploration or epic battle can get annoying. It still is realistic and i almost kinda miss it instead i am to believe my gear is unbreakable.
Another thing I felt was cheesy was after most of the time you kill an enemy whether it be a simple drauger or bandit, all the way up to a dragon. Your character goes into some weird action move to deliver the last blow. Which I felt was cheap to me. I wanted to be the person who ultimately killed off the foe. not the game taking over for me. There are some interesting glitches. but it wouldn't be a open exploring game if there wasn't. So we can let that slide. Except for the mission breaking glitches. Like i have one mission i can't even finish because a glitch occurred that there is no way at all around. I can see where a completionist would get very frustrated with this. Although I think I heard its impossible to get 100% because the minor side missions recirculate over and over with different characters.

The action is super high paced at times and slow and boring at others. I loved how the game opened where your basically being attacked by a dragon and running for your life literally to avoid it.
And also love the addition of the dragons. it was the touch the elder scroll fans were looking for and they did an amazing job with it in keeping up with the lore of it in terms of looks and behavior.

It took me a lil over 154 hours (so 6 days and 10 hours of my life lost to this game). and I ended with like 157,000 gold or something like that (probably after i sold all my stuff i gotten probably more like 300,000 but whos counting).

I don't wanna give this game a 5/5 because its got flaws specially those mission breakers.
But i still loved the game so much I feel like i am hurting myself if I don't so... Ya know what... 4.5/5..
Now to play Dawnguard expansion and I guess do whatever in hearthfire

Just finished a little gem of a game called Sylvan Tale. It's a Game Gear game never released in America. A wonderful action-rpg in the same style as Zelda, Crusader of Centy, and Alundra.

Very nice graphics, spot-on controls, and some decent music. Just a plain fun game, it is a bit on the short and easy side though, and there were a couple times I got stuck not knowing what to do. I love these types of games and glad I stumbled upon this great title. Probably the best GG game I've ever come across. I played a fan translated rom of this, obviously.

Wow I thought Plants vs Zombies was gonna be my last game to beat for the year but guess I was wrong.
I almost got done with the new skyrim expansion (Dragonborn) and found a game breaking glitch (atleast for me) so I decided to finally put skyrim down till they hopefully fix that and went for Katamari Damacy which I already played some of before.
I blew through the rest of it and completing my first ever PS2 game (i only had the PS2 for roughly a year so bite me :P).
Fun game. Very simple to get into. Its also super weird being its a japanese game that some how got ported and translated to america without taking some of the weird out of it for us americans. Truely a one of a kind game and understandably a modern classic. 5/5

I kinda lost track of the stuff I've cleared, but I finished the PS2 version of Alone in the Dark (2008). Both endings.

Listen to me - don't play this game. Don't buy this game. Play the original version if you want to suffer, 'cause this one suuuuuuuuuuuucks.

Wow a super hero game that really kicks ass! This game took batman and gave him that really dark and gritty feel we as mature comic and perhaps gamer fans wanted to see. Theres blood, theres violence, theres sexuality (god damn poison ivy and harley quinn), vulgar language, and there a very very dark psychotic feel to it.
Very fun game that keeps you interested and intrigued. What I think that made this game experience alot more fun and also unique wasn't the main game play and such but more so the side stuff that the riddler puts you on. The riddles that allow you unlock character bio's are almost like a wheres waldo kinda experience and kinda enters each of the characters into the game in a hidden and almost surprising manner. Like for instance when you are in the penitentiary you are given a riddle "He is the most celebrated killer of all time". And you find a jail cell that busted wide open and you look inside and see a shit ton of calendar dates thrown all over the place and you find out its tied to a character named "Calendar man". Very interesting experience. 5/5

Intel Discovered was another free Kinect game Microsoft was giving away via Xbl(there have been atleast 4 of those this year) and I have now played thru the brief distraction in order to round out my year at an even 30. Theres still a chance I may get to 31 or 32 since I now have Max Payne 3, Resident Evil 4 and Batman: Arkham Asylum on my playlist. But I might just wait for next year. All in all it was a good year for beating games despite the fact that I work two jobs, have a needy girlfriend and what appears to be signs of the proverbial social life glowing brighter.

When I first found out about this game and watched a buddy of mine play it on his xbox I was curious as he explained to me it was made by a former a employee of Valve who was apart of making "Portal".
The game definitely felt like portal infact if it wasn't for the slightly cartoonish graphics and IDS glove which changes dimensions instead of a portal gun which creates portals.... I would say this game is a complete rip off just with a different name slapped on it.

You play a nephew of a uncle who is this world renowned scientist who comes up with all these crazy contraptions who basically turned his mansion into a giant testing facility for his IDS device (that should instantly make it sound like portal and aperature science) which basically allows you to shift through 5 dimensions your normal one, one that turns everything into pillow format, one that turns everything into metal, one that turns everything slow, and one that reverses the gravity. Your uncle is trapped in another dimension he calls "Pocket Dimension" because its filled with things you'd find you pocket averagely. Its your job to help figure out whats going on and how to get him out of the said dimension. So you traverse through a large series of puzzles utilizing IDS's capabilities to make your way to the end of your adventure. (once again sounds like portal).

The game done in a First Person setting but with no real weapons to use (once again like portal). The puzzles range from very easy at first to making you scratch your head and go "huh?" later on(like portal and i guess most other puzzle games haha). Its pretty fun and challenging even if the uncle shouts hints from time to time from the pocket dimension.

There is really no boss so i guess thats a innovative thing that portal doesn't do *shrug*

All in all Even though its different. Its just doesn't feel different enough to keep itself from feeling like a portal knock off. Which leads me to wonder what happened to this wild card employee that jumped companies. Did they have a very bad falling out with valve and thought this would be a great way to fight fire with fire?

The Walking Dead episode 1 is currently free on XBL. I downloaded it the other day and played straight thru it yesterday. I've only seen a few episodes of the tv show but I was completely hooked by this game. The point and click style gameplay isn't my thing but I didn't even care. I just wanted to see how the story progressed. I also kind of beat 1 vs 100 on my DS but the game is glitched(I think) where you can't beat the last member of the mob no matter how many questions you get right because they keep getting them right too. When I play it again if I get to the last member of the mob and once again keep getting questions right and he doesn't get anything wrong I'm adding it to my beaten list.

I suppose it's worth adding that I cleared Super Mario Kart with Koopa Troopa through 50, 100, and 150cc, gold-ing or getting first in all the GP cups. KT is slow but has good handling of course. I think did this in the past but perhaps on a friends cartridge. No matter, what's done is done now.

Wow, Dino Crisis ... made by the same company and under the same game director as Resident Evil ... and they make it almost completely the same. Both games have you playing a character who's part of a special forces unit. Both games starts with the unit arriving from the sky, landing in/near the woods. Both games has one of the members of this special forces unit get killed and eaten in said woods. Both games takes place at a mostly empty(aside from non human enemies) research facility which is secretly developing new weapons of mass destruction, where an accident has unleashed monsters. Both games has the leader of the unit following their own agenda, hidden from the rest of the members of the unit.

Sadly, despite trying so hard, it wasn't nearly as good as RE.

Recycling much? :P

Edit: New year! Ended up at 22 games this year. Will easily complete more games than this in 2013. :)

1) Uncharted 2 Amongst Thieves PS3 - After shelving Uncharted Drake's Fortune for a year (no reason just other games to play) I did not make that mistake when I got Uncharted 2 for Christmas. Every bit as amazing as the first, now I need a price drop on Uncharted 3
2) Rage Xbox 360 - Probably the most anti climactic ending to a game I have seen in a long time. Missions towards the end also felt tedious and the game became more of a chore in my opinion.
3) Homefront PS3 - Not nearly as satisfying as Frontlines Fuel of War. I would have definitely preferred a lot more depth to the story and more meat to the missons.
4) WWE Day of Reckoning Gamecube - Raw Story Mode - Blew through this over the course of a few days & then became stuck on the Royal Rumble for 2 days. 1 controller later I finally beat the Rumble & moved onto become champ at Wrestlemania
5) New Super Mario Bros. DS - Awesome as if there was any doubt about a Mario game being awesome. Life has been crazy and I have a lot of games to beat if I want to reach my goal of 12 games completed.
6) Spec Ops the Line - PS3 - Great game loved that the story had a little depth and how choices were a factor. Definitely more than you get out of the mass produced FPS franchises. A bit short in length, but definitely more fulfilling than Homefront which was completed earlier this year.
7) Army of Two 40th Day - PS3 - Not much in the way of story, to be expected I guess, but a fun quick 8 hour investment and now I am ready for Devil's Cartel
8) Super Mario Land 3DS - 3DS - New 3DS for Christmas along w/ the game and I was able to clear the game (1st 8 stages) at some point in 2013 I will do the special 8. Another tried and true formula for the game itself and the 3D works surprisingly well. Happy New Year everyone!
