I found two of the "Art of" books in a store and I wrote down their numbers and entered today. I got a red message from Konami stating that I couldn't use more than one of the same code. Hmmmmm?

I might do it with my wife without the Art codes as I really don't care and don't really want anything but a soundtrack, but then they could disqualify me for that...

Damn. There seems to be no winning :(

Wow, the wallscroll is actually made of silk? Pretty fancy stuff. Well, I entered the five codes so hopefully if I did everything right they'll still have some of the promo stuff available by the time they get to my entry. I'm guessing the soundtrack will only be a handful of tracks, but since I don't like Suikoden music quite enough to fork out $20-$30 for each of the soundtracks, it'll be better than nothing. :)

Ah, okay. I thought that Konami was claiming that you couldn't enter two art book codes, as it only happened on the second one... but it showed up just fine?

Well, regardless I didn't buy the books so I didn't exactly get them the "legit" way, although it was more legit than the way it sounds like a lot of people did it... Oh well.

Either that or Konami will only let you enter 1 artbook code per entry.

Has anyone checked the Strategy Guide? I have one at home and I'll look at it later tonight after work.

Correct, you can only use ONE artbook code. So your second code is probaly still valid, but since you can only use one, give it to someone else to use. :)

The strategy guide does'nt have anything. I've allready gone through the thing VERY carefully.

And I really WANT that last code so I can claim a wall scroll, also.....

I thought it might be on the world map since the one code, "lekk4481", which appears when you click on that one island, is referred to as "HIDDEN1", which led me to believe there was a "HIDDEN2." If not, why would they call the other one "HIDDEN1" ? However, I clicked on that entire map, watched the movie, and read every page, and still nothing.

My bet it will appear in the "Gameplay" section which is grayed out as "coming soon"

From CAG:

There is a new clue. Go to the downloads section and go throught the images. Once you get to the 15th pic, the 'next' option will dissappear but you can click the blank area where it used to be to get the next clue.

Ok, in the place of the 16th pic, it tells you to look at the edge of the world. So I clicked on the upper left corner of the map, and another clue pops up saying "You are almost there, Kira holds the next clue."

Go to the Character page and go to Kira. Click on her hand. The code is "1punish27."

Ah, I see! They must have just added this code, as that hint to check out the download section was'nt even there a couple days ago.

As for the rest of you without art books -- I'm not sure if Konami will release another code. The contest is due to end at the end of the month. They may just decide to leave it at seven as a reward for those of us who pre-ordered.

You only get ONE e-mail, the FIRST time that you register on the site and submit ONE code. Your codes are kept on file after you have entered them, but you only get the one e-mail, although you will be told if the code is invalid when you enter it. And it takes 4-12 hours for the e-mail to come.

What about people who preordered but their store didn't have the artbook? Or people who didn't preorder, but they bought it the day of release? It would suck if Konami gave them the shaft. I mean, I'm sure there are diehard fans out there that didn't get the artbook for one reason or another.

As for myself, I'm just a bum hoping to get some free Suikoden stuff. :P I only have the first two games. I'd be more than happy to get "just" the coin and soundtrack, but a wallscroll would rock too. :)

I was told it was because the taxes are handled differently here therefore whoever holds the contest would have to pay more shipping to give out a free item.

With the contest ending in a few days, I think if there WAS going to be a seventh code for those who don't have the artbook it will be out by now. :( It looks like my orginal guess was correct. Konami planned this all along so that the last item, the wall scroll, could only be claimed by those of us who pre-ordered the game and got the art book.

Right, there are six codes that anyone can enter. That's enough to get your the coin and music CD. There's also a code (the 7th code) on the back page of the artbook for Suikoden 4, that was only given out if you pre-ordered the game.

Not true. The artbooks are available for sale at EB Games. My local store had 5 in stock,and they all had code stickers on the inside back cover.

I did'nt know some stores had leftover artbooks from the game. And here someone was saying eariler in the thread that they did'nt get a artbook when they had pre-ordered the game cause it was'nt in stock. What a royal screw up this whole thing has been. :roll:

The Gamestop I pre-ordered and purchased my copy from didn't have enough artbooks for the number of pre-orders they took. Since I was/am employed there, they made me go to another store to get mine. However, I bought my strategy guide from EB and they gave me one for simply buying the guide. So I ended up with two....then again I'm a huge whore for Suikoden, so I didn't mind in the least.
