Ahhhhhhh shit. Snagged a loose but minty mint copy of Fire Shark for a dollar today at GameStop. Too sweet. 8-)
Too bad I ripped part of the label while trying to take off one of those stupid Gamestop stickers. :(
Oh well, no biggie.
Anyways, I also grabbed Atomic Runner for the Genesis and brand new copies of Wild Arms 4 and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness while I was out today for 19 dollars total. Not too bad, especially seeing as Castlevania and Wild Arms were less than 10 dollars a piece.

Just because you all demand for me to make an apperance concerning this stuff... (and there are some interesting finds here)
mgriff, can you please truncate (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=79717)or remove that extremely long eBay link? .....that's now on the previous page, nevermind. LOL

You guy's might think I'm crazy but I got from my friend a PSP for $9.00 with Lumines, Untold legends BoTB, Coded Arms, and Ridge Racer. Plus Spider Man 2 the movie. If you want verification contact Vintagegamecrazy.
Although i don't doubt it, i don't believe it. But i know it's possible.
Eh... I'm not sure I believe it either, Slate. Though I have to admit (and I hope I don't sound like too much of a jerk here), my first thought was... so who'd his friend steal it from and why only $9? :/
My own finds... eh... my friend and I found a working Pong machine in an old-styled penny arcade during our recent flea road trip. Played a few games, good stuff. That's about it.

Just picked up a complete Atari 7800 system with about 40 to 50 2600 carts for $40 from a local shop. A lot of duplicates to titles I already had. Hello Ebay. But out of this I did score the following new (to me) 2600 titles:
Airlock
SSSnake
Piece O'Cake
Dig Dug (I thought I had this. My list says yes but my eyes, as I scan the shelf, say no).
Oink!

Between this and Space Invaders `91 for the Genny yesterday it's been a gratifying week. 8-)

Why you should not let Kitsune Sniper go to Big!Lots alone: I bought three PC games from there.
Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone (DVD Version) - $5.99
Evil Genius - $3.99
The Bard's Tale - $3.99
All are boxed and complete versions. Wow, does that store rock. X_x They also had Silent Hill 4: The Room for $6, but I left it because the game crashes on my computer. Well, the illegally downloaded version, anyway. I may get it for completeness sakes soon.

I just hit a jack pot this week
$45-2600 6 switch Sunnyvale boxed, wireless sticks, 2 VIC-20 controllers boxed and a lot of games with manuals. (not a great deal really)
$45 for this lot
-2xNES one action box, 2 of those black 10-slot game carriers full of games, 1 controller and a grey zapper
-Genesis HD system boxed complete and a few crappy games
-5200 2 games and working controllers
$10-NES with hook ups, 9 good games, Power Pad, Advantage Pad, 2 controllers, and a grey zapper
This isn't from this month, but I got my Hot Rod Red DS complete for $115 and I sent it to Nintendo for the second time cause it had a dead pixel and now it has another one. A trick I learned is to take every thing out of it like the Battery and cover and the stylus and they replace it, so I have 4 styluses, 3 batteries and 2 covers.

Oh nice, admitting to having pirated warez on your computer, and of a game that isn't too old. But on a side note, you could have a junkie rip that blows and has errors and therefore the OFFICIAL release game doesn't have that many issues and may run just fine. In addition, owning the game gives you technical support.

Well, I admit to having a lot of pirated games, but I still buy many that I've already pirated. *shrugs* I DID want to buy SH4:The Room, but unfortunately, there's reports of crashes in various hardware configurations... which my computer seems to fit in. I tried the game a while back and the thing REBOOTED my system, twice, at totally random intervals. I downloaded it to see if that would fix things, and nope. It looked fine, but the game kept crashing Windows (and for any program to crash my system, then it's got to be really badly programmed.) The only thing that Konami tech support tells you to do is "try reinstalling the game again", so no thanks. If I could, I'd buy the PS2 original, not a shoddy, half-baked PC port. But I don't own a PS2, so I'm stuck.
In retrospect, I should've bought SH4 instead of Evil Genius... I had no idea the game would be so boring. It also made my computer act all loopy after I played it, and it crashed on exit. Weird. (And uh, I suggest that we both cease discussing the topic for the better - this is just a finds thread. Please?)
Anyway. Today's finds:
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream (PC) - this puppy's going to eBay.
A weird Mac shareware CD with 3003 fonts - currently trying to find a MAC CD reader to extract the fonts. :P (Edit: Dammit, the disc is not the one on the sleeve... this is a game demo CD! Well, there goes karma for you...)
Full Throttle CD - $1
And last wednesday I bought a CIB NES Satellite, apparently never used. It's going to eBay too.

Hit EB late yesterday and got the following:

Final Fantasy Legend 3 (Re-release version)
Both complete and the clerk gave me the box and manual for FF Legend 2 but they had already sold the game. $22 after tax.

Then today found a new TV for the game room. 36 inch Mitsubishi circa 1993. Paid $170 for it. It's old but still works fine plus it's the only 36 inch TV in my price range. LOL
Pardon the mess of cords, but I'm still working on getting everything reconnected.

They used to have several hundred all at about 5 bucks...uncharted waters, romance of the kingdoms, and some really hard to find games such as that. Not as much now. They also have a ton of imports for neogeo cd, saturn, psx & DC.

I passed on a Ms. Pac-Man videogame in a cabaret cabinet for $300.
In clean, working shape, that's a darn good deal on a Ms Pac cabaret.

I'm still quite a ways off from finishing. I've kinda taken a break from collecting. I've been using a ton of left over trade credit from a few stores but that's it. Sooner or later I know I'll get heavily into it again, and start up my long ass thrift runs ;D.

Perk, do you have like 20 mom and pop gaming stores within walking distance or something? You've always got something to show, and most of the time it's a good deal or good games. And I'm quite jelous.

Well, today I found all this:
Quake II: Quad Damage for the PC, boxed and complete, for $3
Marvel Vs. Capcom (DC) = $5! Woo!
Flesh Eating Ghouls From Outer Space - some weird DVD with puppets. It was $2 so I got it. :P
Photo Genic... this cost me $1. I saw "Sunsoft" on it so I grabbed it. It's apparently a Japanese dating sim, but it's the Korean version. It came with the game disc and a CD with music on it. Freaky. It was released on the Saturn and PS1, as well.
Among the things I left behind:
* A boxed Miracle Piano Teaching System keyboard. It was the keyboard, power supply, a SNES connector, and the box. No game or instructions were included. The guy wanted $20 for it.
* A Japanese White Sega Saturn, in box. The guy wanted $30 for it. If the thing had been white then I would've considered it, but it was NES gray already so no thanks.
I also saw first hand the destruction of a game simply because I did not want it. I'll be posting a thread later on. :(

not any mom and pop stores that sell games, not really. what i do have is about 7 thrift stores that i hit on a weekly basis, one of which (the best one at that) is 2 miles from my house... and actually, i just went out and hit that one and came home with this....
http://64.159.77.51/~helmet/perkar/finds/060621.jpg
not spectacular, but it helps fill in that saturn collection... up to 48 games \m/
also, if you want to check out all my thrift finds since i got a digital camera, you can browse my finds dir...

i usually don't take pics of things i buy at retail... don't really consider that a "find"

Same one I've had since launch as well, though it wasn't available in black then, just off grey. Still, it's served me very well in the time :)
