a pretty small but nice find this time:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/supercpirate.jpg

just a run of the mill n64 nes on a stick.
this was the first time i found one with a "cartridge" plugged in.
what made it strange is the cart was alot smaller then a normal famicom cart, so I picked it up. it only ended up costing 2.50 (games were half off)

I tried removing the cart when i got home and it turns out it was just a strange casing with a board inside (see picture) it was one of those 12000 in one carts, always a neat find. this was the first multi cart i've ever seen with super contra (japanese version) and of all things it had paper boy as one of the other "main" games.

overall a fun find and it kept me amused for an afternoon.
plus playing duck hunt and hogans alley with a 35 millimeter "zapper" is always fun ;-)

One of the local Mexicali flea market vendors has a NES on a pad which has a cart on its side, similar to the one you got. Well, the cart slot is on its side. The thing is actually -two- pads in one. One pad holds the NES and cable connections, and the other pad (or a modified Zapper) plugs into it.

I wasn't really sure if the thing on the side was a cart or not until you showed this photo. Great find.

Payday yesterday!

Yesterday from Amazon I ordered New Super Mario Brothers for £25 and Liberty City Stories for £15. I had a free £5 voucher because I spent over £20 on one order before the 5th of June. So that was £35 for the two.

Then today I was looking around on Amazon and saw that Mario Kart DS was £18, so I ordered it.

I also saw that Super Mario 64 DS has come down to £18. I bought it at the start of the month for £23. Amazon has a policy where they refund the difference if a price goes down within 30 days of placing an order. It's not something they shout about. I've sent an email about it, so hopefully I'll get £5 back. :D

Edit: That was quick, they've refunded £5.

SWAPUSA is changing formats. They have everthing in their store discounted 30-50%. They had their SNES non-sports for 5 and their sports for 2.50. Select games are removed at 30% off their price like Gemfire, Ghengis Khan II, Kirby's Avalanche(way over priced), Mario RPG and a bunch others.

I felt like a was robbing banks. I picked up 5 games at 5 a piece. Spike McFang, Soldiers of Fortune, Arty Lightfoot, Breakthru!, and Sim Earth. I only needed Breakthru! and Sim Earth so I get to make a nice profit on the other 3.

Wow, nice black DS Lite, McBacon.

Here are my finds from today:

I finally had a decent run of luck at a couple pawn shops. I returned to one shop where the store owner annoyed me in the past when he wanted something like $10.00 for NES carts because they were "older and hard-to-find." I decided to stop in and found these (all complete):

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/deadoralive2.jpg
Dead or Alive 2
Paid $5.00

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/MarvelVs.jpg
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Paid $5.00

I also found the Zelda promotional disc at the pawn shop. I already have this one, but I couldn't pass it up. I'm sure I'll find it a loving home.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/Zeldapromo.jpg
The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
Paid $10.00

And then at another pawn:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/ZoneoftheEnders2.jpg
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner
Paid $5.00 (I bought a CD with this and it all came out to $6.00)

I also went to a used book store and had a couple other finds:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/turok2.jpg
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
Paid $4.98

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/ckeene/bluedreamcastpads.jpg
Two blue official Dreamcast controllers and one VMU.
Paid $12.00

The car boot sale this morning was bigger than usual. There were hardly any games, though. Someone had a load of old games for SNES, Megadrive and N64. But they wanted £4 each. They were mostly common, worthless games like Dragon and California Games. I got Super Bomberman 2 for SNES and Zelda: Majora's Mask, both complete. Not great bargains, but they're ok prices. I would have had Earthworm Jim 2 but there was no game in the box.

Then I got a few PS1 games from someone else for £1.50 each. Spyro 1, Spyro 2, and Croc.

Then Metal Slug 4 on Xbox for £3.

Nope, the store is in Gresham, OR, and is one of five CD/Game Exchange stores in the Portland area. (When I heard most of the chain's stores were located in Ohio, I wondered, "how the hell did they get here?")

I love both these games to death. And when I went through the Phantasy Star material I also found a mint Shining force II manual behind the poster. Sweet!

UN-FREAKING BELIVABLE luck today at a 10-family garage sale. At first it was pretty normal; got a couple of McDonalds handhelds that I already had for a quarter all together, a free action figure, etc. but the REAL luck came when I stopped to this one ladies house [she is now my "best friend"] who apperently just wanted to get rid of her crap pronto! anyways, behind a box of game stuff (I will be talking about that later) I found a

>Magnavox Odyssey2 (COMPLETE w/ box & manual); and
->Alien Invaders-Plus (Complete)
->Invaders from Hyperspace (Complete)
->Speedway/Spin-out/Cryptologic (Complete)
->K.C. Munchkin (Boxed)
->Math-a-Magic/Echo (Boxed)
->Pick Axe Pete (Boxed)
->Baseball (loose)

The lady said I could have it for ONE F*CKEN DOLLAR!!! needless to say a bought it ;)

also the lady said I could have the big box full of Misc. game crap as well, and after a few long, hard hours of digging and wire-untangling, I found:

>Atari 5200 (w/ manual)
->Trackball conroller (w/ manual)
->VCS Cartridge Adapter
->Standard Controller
->Video Touch Pad
->RF Switchbox
->2 "Sear's Video Arcade II" controllers (???)
-->Joust
-->Jungle Hunt
-->Mario Bros.
-->Missile Command (w/ manual)
-->Pac-Man
-->Pitfall II: The Lost Caverns
-->RealSports Baseball
-->RealSports Football (w/ Manuals)
-->River Raid
-->Space Dungeon
-->Star Raiders (w/ Manual)
-->Super Cobra

>3 Atari 2600 Gemstiks
->Air-Sea Battle (w/ Manual)
->Armor Ambush
->Asteroids
->Astroblast
->Berzerk
->Boxing
->Combat
->Congo Bongo
->Cosmic Ark
->Dolphin (w/ Manual)
->Dragster
->E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (w/ Manual)
->Ice Hockey
->Laser Blast
->Lock 'n Chase
->Math Gran Prix
->Maze Craze: A Game of Cops 'n Robbers
->Outlaw (w/ Manual)
->Pac-Man
->Raiders of the Lost Ark
->Sky Skipper (w/ Manual)
->Solaris (w/ Manual)
->Space Attack
->Space Invaders (Sears; w/ Manual)
->Starmaster
->Surround
->Swordquest: Fireworld
->Tutankham
->Yars' Revenge

>Genesis Power-Plug (Complete w/ box & manual)

>SNES Power-Plug (w/ Manuals)
>SNES Super-Scope Reciver (w/ Manuals)
>SNES game cover (???)
->Super Scope 6 (w/ Manual)

all for a buck

:o ...

overall a VERY good day for me; and I even got a few extras (not listed above) that I may trade-in tommorrow for even more gaming-goodness :D

This weekend my family(like very year) had a yardsale. My uncle had some PC games, and I bought a boxed Nascar game for 2 bucks, they had others also, but I didn't want them. He also gave me a joystick to play it with. Later in the day, as we were packing everything up, I looked in the trash can I he had threw to other games away! Being that a working game should never be thrown away, I got the rest of them for free.

Nothing special, but I done a good deed today.

Not too much for me this week. I'm trying to cut down on finds as I'm running out of places to store my games and systems... I stopped by GameCrazy earlier in the week to check out the 3 for $15 sale. I, among others, whiped them out pretty good the first time, so finds were slim. 6 games in total for $30 (and the fact that Dino Crisis and Tenchu: Stealth Assasins were already marked at $4.99 made things seem a bit lame...).

The longbox PS1 Resident Evil is complete, and was $1 at the flea market.
