Picked up Final Fantasy VI Advance today. Finally have the first 6 FF games in pocket form. Alright, Square Enix, now let's see some pocket sized Dragon Quest I-VI.

CURSE YOU. No local stores had the game. :(

Also, there's Dragon Warrior 1+2 and 3 on the GBC, if you don't mind 4-color sprites.

I got a black wii controller+nunchuk cover in the mail today. The thing was so horribly off brand. It said it was made for the "WILL" console. Not Wii, WILL. Fits perfectly though.

I stopped by Gamecrazy today and found they still had the 3 for $10. This place had been pretty picked over. Today, though, I had a little surprise. I found Dragon Warrior VII (marked $12.99), Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (marked $12.99), and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete (marked $24.99). Unfortunately, neither Eternal Blue nor Silver Star Story had the extra stuff listed in the online rarity guide. I'm not complaining though.

I tried Circuit City 'cuz I thoguht I'd be able to get it for $29.99 bu they didn't have it. So I went to GameStop and paid $34.99 (I hate it when they charge that much for a GBA game)

I have DW I&II and DWIII on GBC, but I'd still like to see these games get the same treatment FFII&II, IV-VI got on GBA.

erehwon, awesome finds with those Lunar games. I've got both but only one has the original box. Neither have all the extra stuff, but I'm glad to have them.

They're already making off-brand stuff for the Wii??? Will an off-brand Wii console be next? I sure hope so....maybe I can actually find the system!

I have never seen that version of Virtua Fighter was it foreign release?

It's got a Japanese rating, so I'd dare say it is. ^^;

I got Monkey Island 1 today, for DOS, CD only. Bad day at the flea market...

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence Special Edition

A bit different than the Limited Edition, and somewhat more rare. Technically just "Castlevania" in Japan, but the names can get confusing without the LOI moniker sometimes.

Like my last good find back in January this one is not the cheapest of finds either. But I had to pick it up:

- Transparent Teal Nintendo 64 system with one matching colored controller, and both hook-ups. Excellent, condition looks almost new (especially by this pawn shops standards).
- Thunder Force V: Perfect System (PS1)

Paid $39.99 + tax on the N64 and got the TF5 for free! Total = $42.35

http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/74/imag0298es5.jpg

Also note the Thunder Force V is available and so is my original N64 (w/1 controller, and both hook-ups) since I now have this one.

Just a couple of games from Gamestop:

Rumble Racing (PS2)- $7.99 used. This game was so hard to find around my area (Stockbridge/McDonough, GA). Every time I would go into Gamestop I couldn't find a copy. Well, luck was on my side, and I finally found the game after months of searching in store for it.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon: Premium Edition (PS2)- $17.99 used! I was really suprised by this find, since I knew that the normal edition is now $20. I wasn't expecting to get the premium edition for the same amount! :)

You sir, are lucky to have people around you that still donate to the Salvation Army.

The one here in town closed down and is now a Wallboard place. It's a shame really. Not just for me, but this is a decent sized city, and it's a shame to the individuals that utilized the Salvation Army for things more important than Video Games (like Clothes or drinking cups). Congratulations on your score, it's really nice.

I was shopping about for a stereo amp/receiver for work (which I came up with zip) and happened upon a few INTV cartridges and an INTV 2 at Goodwill. They had a few titles I already have except one. I snagged the cart and the INTV 2 (I knew someone around here was looking for one), popped it into the INTV 2 and had a blast playing it. Curious about what this cart was all about I flipped open the Digital Press Guide. I was floored at what I found.

The cart: Diner. The price: $1.99.

The INTV 2 with controllers and power supply was $15.

my wife gave me the warriors and mk armaggeadon for xbox tonight. also, went to the fleamarket and saw several snes games i wanted but wasnt willing to pay the price. saw final fantasy mystic quest for 12.95 and couple other games like aladan and goof troop. also, we went to the local walmart and picked up a 20 inch truflat rca tv. decent tv for just over $100. the 19 in. was 10 years old and the color was going in and out. btw i have a snes,ps1,n64, genesis, 32X, and xbox hooked up to the 20 inch and i have my xbox 360, ps2, gamecube, and dreamcast connected to a 27" symphonic flat screen. yes i know i dont have hd, but i can deal without. its hard to afford stuff like that on a teachers salary.

I didn't want to waste a thread on this so this is the closest I could think of to put it.

I went to the new GameStop (which was the old Rhino) and noticed they had WAY more classic games than what they did before they switched. (They must have consolidated from the other Rhino that was in the nearby towns.) Anyways....

I inquired if the NES/SNES/Genesis games were still discounted...they were. I go through the stacks and don't see anything. Until I happen upon a strange Genesis cart. It was Action 52!!!

Knowing that it was pretty rare (and pretty sucky at that) I was going to purchase it. (Assuming it didn't cost more than the $14.99 on it's sticker.) I go to the counter and the guy....can't find it in the system. He tells me "Sorry I can't sell this to you because it's not in the system." I was a bit upset at that but working retail I can kind of understand that this is some oddball item that Gamestop was never equipped to carry. Wonder if the guy knows it's history (I didn't tell him) and will "put it in the trash" (keep it for himself.) Oh well...it's not like I've been buying games just to collect them!

Eight bucks. Haven't tested it due to lack of time. Also, did this thing come with pedals? It didn't have any, but the box doesn't say anything about them. eBay didn't help either...

Finds from the ghetto

Last week I got

Sega Master System II with Official PSU, RF switch box, One pad, built in Alex Kidd and loose cart World Cup Italia 90 : £2.00

Boxed Amiga 500, with boxed Competition Pro Joystick, all accessories leads etc and a stack of boxed games, yellowed but should work okay etc and some reasonable games : £8.00

MINTY boxed Commodore C64C - really one of the best I have ever found, all accessories etc only missing the manual of which I have a spare, if it wasnt for the rip to the top of the large box it would be like new.. smaller box inside is MINT MINT, and its got all of the "checked by xx at factory" cards. Plus inside box were two nice condition Atari 2600 joysticks, about 4 seperate games and a KCS Power Cartridge : £8.00

Boxed Philips Cassette Recorder (the type with Mic and Ear) - for use with Spectrum. Bit pricey at £4.50 but hard to come by.

One non-games related item in the pictures too.. but its RETRO.. Hitachi TRK-9150E Ghetto Blaster, bought for the princely sum of £2.00 couple of buttons need attention, need to fix the tape deck but that shouldnt be a problem, and it needs the speakers hoovering and volume dials cleaning inside (a little crackling when changing volume) sounds like a million dollars though and built like a tank.

Heres the pics!

Yesterday, I bought a saturn lot for $10. Actually I paid $15 for it since I bought the Panzer dragoon game the other week for $5. (It was in this lot)

He wanted $20 for the lot but since I bought panzer dragoon for $5 earlier and told him that the video cable was missing, I got it for $10.

The system is a model 1 and came with 2 controllers and the manual! It needs a new memory battery, But that is easy to get.

I got 5 games with it but one does not work.

Bug! - Complete
Daytona USA - Loose, Does not work
Earthworm Jim 2 (Complete but one of the tabs on the case is broken)
Street Fighter The Movie - Complete
Virtua Fighter - NFR Version, Loose

Here are a couple of other things that came with it..

Sega Saturn Choice Cuts (A demo disc)

NBA Live 98 Manual and case (Missing the front of the case)

I think it was a good deal, I don't find saturn stuff very often. :)

Later on, I bought some stuff from goodwill (They were having a 50% off sale!)

SNES Games, All loose, Two are ex rental copies:

Battleclash
Fifa International Soccer (Has rental stickers on it)
Sim City (has "SN106" on the front, In paint)

49 cents each.

Also, I bought a Xbox 360 battery charging kit there for $6.50. It's a nyko brand.

I'll post a pic later.

I also picked up my first NES grail:

Little Samson (R6), complete for $15.99 at a B&M store. Pretty much in great condition, just a little wear on the flap and top of box, and a small crease on the manual front.
