I found a game store that was getting rid of original gameboy and gameboy color games for a dollar each. Needless to say I bought all of them *hate to see my credit card bill this month* and tom I found an old video rental store that still has NES and SNES games that he will sell for 1 and 2 dollars respectively. I would have went today, but the owner was going to have to fish them out of storage.

Decided to go to the flea market today and picked up some stuff and left behind a lot of over priced stuff.

Dragon Warrior-NES-$5
Robowarrior-NES-$2
Magmax-NES-$2
Defender 2-NES-$2
Lords of Thunder-TGCD-$2 and this game is brand new and sealed. I found it mixed in with a bunch of crappy music CDs. Anyone know if this is worth anything? I pretty much know jack about TGCD game values.

Lords of Thunder is around $20-$30 max.

It's one of the best shmups on the TGCD. The soundtrack is pure sex.

And on Saturday I picked up a boxed N64 with the pack in Atomic Purply controller. The previous owner was even kind enough to leave the memory upgrade in it. $25

A buck each. All in great condition. I figured I could splurge this time around.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/Dsc01662.jpg
Also a buck each, MoOII is worthless though. I can't believe the Mac version is so common...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/Dsc01660.jpg
A vendor had all a TON of old board games for sale, and I examined some... I saw these three, verified they were complete, and bought them for the eBay store. All for six bucks.

Oh, and...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/Dsc01661.jpg
Again, for the eBay store. Really! My mother and a few other friends of the family suggested that I look into used plush doll sales, so I did a bit of research and noticed certain kinds are worth quite a bit. This one? This one sells for $40 on average. It cost me $3. :)

ITs been awile since i've posted finds so here they are:

Today I went thrifting and found a decent pile of stuff all half off:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/feb14th.jpg

This makes 8 of those soundtrack/sword things, the gamecbue controlers were only 2$ (one of the offbrand ones is missing a button sucky) the 64 was 5 and came with the upgrade pack thinige and a ratty controller, the old ww1 rpg games were from the early 70s I have or had the tank one and one of the plane ones, they seem to be complete.

a few finds of note from the last few weeks:

I found a few of the target exclusive zelda sword/soundtrack sets for cheap a few weeks ago and decided to open one to give prime a chance against unicron:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/primesword.jpg

I also picked up 2 standees from gamestop, one for mario games and the other from final fantasy 6:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/ff6stand.jpg
and
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/giantmario.jpg

and my roomate owed me some money for bills so he payed me in games:

http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/sui.jpg

the star wars figures i picked up today just forgot to put on the first pic, they were in totally trashed packages dropped down to 2..the fiugres were fine..though the stands were all bent ,no big deal. suikoden tactics is all kinds of awesome, the other games he just tossed at me cuz he didn't wnat them...I recall the disgea game being semi valuable..too bad its total shit. still a nice deal since he only owed me around 30$ or so .I ended up buying ff6 the same day he bought me a copy so I end up with a sealed copy, hooray for me :-)

ok figured out the new way to do images, yay faqs ;-)

I picked up some great games over the weekend while on vacation in Florida:

-Jak X: Combat Racing (PS2): $20

-Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PSP): $20

-Batallion Wars (GCN): $3.74! (on clearance at Target! About $5 cheaper than a new copy at Gamestop...and it was factory sealed. I am so happy about finding this game at such a low price! :)

My brother (who goes by Ultrashot on here) got:

-Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Xbox): $20

-Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble (Nintendo DS): $5 at Target. This wasn't on clearance. However, he picked it up due to it being so cheap. This was at the same Target that we got Batallion Wars at.

nothing too valuable, remeber theres a rarity guide for most of the console stuff on dp, but complete pc games are always a nice find, hard to judge rarirty on them, the heroes of the lance game was a pretty big print run game on most pcs, though i've never seen the amiga version. i'd say its probably "worth" about 10$ or so complete (its a really fun but hard game as well)

I picked up a bunch of CDs at the flea market... but I also got, uh, Star Wars: Tie Fighter Collector's CD-Rom. The Nederlands version. o_O It's in a double jewel case, and is mint. The game is in English, but the docs and case are in uh, Nederlandish. (What?)

I also got a huge Genesis arcade stick for less than a dime.

Edit:
Well goddamnit, the Star Wars CD is borked, there's a half-inch crack from the outer edge inwards. I guess I'll just scan it for MobyGames and throw it out. :(

SNES:
- Mega Man X
- Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
- Ys III: Wanderers from Ys
- Raiden Trad

Gameboy:
- Dragon Warrior I & II
- Beatmania GB
- Lufia: The Legend Returns

And the best item of all, a circa-1997 book published by Sybex called 'Duke Nukem Does the Internet'. It's all about kicking ass, taking names, and showing you how to surf the Web, late-90's style. It was such a stupid sounding book that I had to buy it! ;)

Sonic 2 - Some kind of rare version, has a 'not for resale' emblem on the font and cartridge labels. I am going to keep this, as I think it may be rare! It is not a sticker, is is part of the label image itself! Info would be nice!

Yesterday I mostly got a ton of CDs for my collection: A Billboard 1975-1979 five CD set (which complements my 1980-1984 and 1985-1989 sets :D) and some random things... I also bought a four-CD pack containing Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear: Black Thorn, and Worms Blast (ASUS pack-in) for a buck.

Today, I managed to find Striker Pro 2000 for the Dreamcast for around fifty cents. The disc is kinda scratched and I haven't tested it yet. I don't have pictures because I had to reformat Windows and haven't installed everything yet.

I finally got a lot I ordered from shopgoodwill a few weeks ago. A sega genesis (works great but was so dirty I replaced the exterior with one from a nonworking genesis, Now works and looks great), Toejam and Earl. Toejam and Earl Panic in funketron, Alien 3 WWF Royal Rumble, X-men and Mortal Kombat 2. All for 27 shipped.

Guess wich 2 games made the lot for me?

Don't have any pics, but I got the following on February 1st:

-Neo Geo Pocket Color(new in box) w/16 games for $90! The standout games were:

Metal Slug 1st Mission
Metal Slug 2nd Mission
Evolution(Japanese Version)
SNK Gals Fighters
Sonic Pocket Adventure(2 copies)
Dark Arms
King of Fighters R2
Fatal Fury: First Contact
Puzzle Link
Puzzle Link 2

-FC Twin(plays NES and SNES games) for $80

Here's the thing about the FC Twin, the one I got at first didn't work(the silver one) but knowing the owner of the store had its benefits.

I told him it didn't work and showed him. Not only did he exchange the unit(and let me test it until I was satisfied), but he let me raid his NES and SNES cabinet for anything I wanted. Sucks he didn't have many games I wanted, but look at this line-up I got(for free!) and how much it would've been if I bought it:

NES:

Friday the 13th($10)
Adventures of Dino Riki($6)
Final Fantasy($50)
Wizards and Warriors($5)
Metroid($15)
a boxed copy of Metal Gear($50)
a sealed copy of Bill and Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure($70)
a sealed copy of WWF Wrestlemania Steel Cage Challenge($70)

SNES:

a boxed copy of Pilotwings($30)
a boxed copy of Mortal Kombat 3($20)
Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past($20)
Final Fantasy III(VI)($60)
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest($30)
Chrono Trigger($100)
F-Zero($15)

Not bad,huh?

It's really bad if you purchase it (but it's good when you got it for free).

$15 for a cartridge only of F-Zero?
$100 for Chrono Trigger?

How the hell the guy is making money?

That's what I get for living in Jersey. We have no flea markets, no Goodwill, or mom and pop stores where stuff is cheap. They overcharge for everything, but it's the only way we can get the stuff, so we're forced to pay the high prices :(
