Hit the thrifts today, dodging hailstones and insane amounts of rainfall to do so....

Secret of Mana, E.V.O., and Illusion of Gaia (SNES, loose) - $4.94 each. These are incidentally the first SNES games I have ever bought, other than a couple Super Famicom carts I've found in the wild. I've got no idea what even posessed me to buy SNES games at all.
iPod Firewire cable, free. I just looked at the receipt and realised she didn't charge me for it.
Namco GunCon 2 - $3.93.
New unopened South Park A.W.E.S.O.M.-O figure, $5.45.
Oddball looking Xbox racing wheel - $12.51.
Sega Genesis model 2 power supply - 99¢.
Rainbow Six-Rogue Spear and Ultimate Fighting Championship (Dreamcast) - $1 each.
Castlevania III-Dragon's Curse (NES, loose) - $3.99.
Pitstop and Visible Solar System (Commodore 64 carts, loose) - $4.99 each.

I got my Arcade stick working after searching about 45 minutes for drivers that didn't cost money to download. I also had to install the drivers a couple of times, as if they didn't get seeded into the Win98 system. When I got it up and running apparently the L1 and R1 buttons are the same triggers along with the L2 and R2, so I'm currious if anyone else has one of these and if so how I can make it a fully functional 8-button stick. BTW it's an InterAct product.

And now that I think about it, I believe my sound cards Game Port only supports a limited number of buttons due to the number of pins, but then again I have an 8-button Logictech joystick that is fully functional and works just fine with its drivers. It is a Sound Blaster 16 card if that helps any.

Oops! I may have erred when I said the 3 games I got a few days ago gave me 100 GameCube games. I went to update the list of games I keep at a website and it only came to 99 games. I've gone through my games and found one more game (so far) that I somehow neglected to put on the list (the first Call of Duty game). That puts the list at 100 now...but one of those games is still on order. So, assuming this list is now correct and up to date, Radio Allergy will become my 100th GameCube title officially when it arrives next week (assuming it isn't delayed again).

Are you sure you're not using the wrong driver?

Today's finds:
The Jungle Book (PC) - $2
A loose NES system, no cables - $2

(On that note, the same place had tons of NES games... one of 'em, Tecmo Super Bowl, had something stuck to the cart edge. I poked at it wondering what it was, when I asked one of the booth owners. He replied "Oh, it's a black widow's nest egg, but they're gone now, so it's cool." ... I freaked out and put the cart back in the pile. x_x)

I ran Windows update and they didn't offer any drivers or updates of the one I downloaded. The drivers I have are for Windows 95 but are supposed to work with 98 and SE, as said in the info.txt. When I run the calibration program it shows a diagram of the arcade stick but only has 6 buttons shown on the screen, two of which are combination buttons R1/L1 and R2/L2, and when I hit either one it lights up that circle on the screen. It would seem odd to have 8 buttons but have 2 button leads going to 1 trigger. Maybe there's someone on here that knows how to hack the board and make it into a USB controller, but that'd be a last resort.

4-switch woodgrain, 10 games(all commons), 2 joysticks, and 1 set of paddles, kept inside a smoke-colored hard plastic case. Very nice looking, until I saw the price stuck to it.....$125.00!! I asked if this was correct, and they said "yes".

Someone bought it yesterday! (That's they said, anyway.) Maybe I need to sell my duplicates in this town. :)

I got All-Star Baseball 2004 today. I had previously gotten ASB 2003 but decided I'd rather have the 2004 edition. Of course, some people hate playing the older games because of the out-of-date rosters but I think they represent a bit of nostalgia value. I can play them and remember when the Pirates actually had some good hitters like Jason Kendall, Brian Giles, and Aramis Ramirez...

I wouldn't be surprised about that. I've seen video games for sale at my local Rite-Aid drug store though I think they've cleared those out now and I'm guessing they won't be getting anymore in.l

I keep finding the weirdest stuff.

Today's finds:
Sonic CD (Windows, ORIGINAL OEM release (usually called 'Dino' release) - $1. It won't run on XP, though. :(

$1 each, except for the Thomas Dolby album, that was $2.

Way too much cash for these. :P They're going to the store...

Oh, and about the weirdest stuff?

It's mint, but it didn't come with a spine card. :(

I also got four DVDs for a buck at a booth. They're worth about $15 in trade at FYE. Woohoo!

I stopped by a ratty, ratty thrift store on my way home from work today and found something for which I've been searching forever now. A Sega CD - more precisely, a JVC X'EYE (edit: for $9.50).

As always seems to be the case whenever I make a cool find, I almost didn't stop at this place to look around at all, but something compelled me to throw on the brakes and swerve in. When I got there, they had the same usual bunch of dusty NES and Genesis carts, and on my way out I noticed "Power Rangers" for Sega CD over in the TUB-O-VHS. I thought I had better go look on the electronic junk heap to see if theres anything that might have been donated along with this game, and behold:

Now I can finally play all these Sega CD games I've been finding in the wild and collecting over the last year or so. Now I don't feel so dumb for buying games for systems I don't have.

Sorry, it was $9.50.

I had those games already, but all were found in thrifts and a few in pawns. Never paid more than a couple bucks for any of those games.

Not exactly a "find" but I can finally cross my #1 most-wanted item off the list thanks to this lovely bundle:

:D

...Now you can track down a copy of Dragon Wang! XD

Annyway, garage sales have been dry lately, so all I've 'bought (video game related) is a new copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2) for $30 from Gamestop.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention, I bought a new Emerald Green PS2 controller at the same time.
