Both games are complete...but the King Kong game is the Xbox version and I very clearly ordered a GameCube version. I've sent off an e-mail to the seller (bought through Amazon.com's Marketplace program) so we'll see if they'll correct the situation.

I first went to the Gamestop I got all those games at last month to see if the manager was around, but he wasn't, so I skimmed through what they had outside and picked up these for around six bucks.

I was kinda wondering why the case had the D3 Publisher logo in the back... so anyway. The manager was going to be around a while later so I went to see Grindhouse (Note: GO SEE IT!), and when I came back, he said he couldn't help me with the games in the back because he was busy, so I checked out more of the games out front and I noticed... several had the D3 Publisher logo. I then realized, holy crap, they're Simple 1500 Series games! I picked up as many of them as I could find... I've got a thing for these, eheh. I think the total was less than fifteen dollars.

The titles are: KISS Pinball, Toy Story Racer, Railroad Tycoon II, Rascal Racers, Tennis, Miracle Space Race, Street Racquetball, Putter Golf, Aces of the Air, and Bowling. Plus the other two third party PS1 memory cards.

After that was done, I grabbed a bus and went to Toys'R'Us to see what they had available for their 2 for 1 sale, so I picked up these two games:

The fish game was free. It was either that, one of the ten copies of Hot Shots Golf 3, one of the THIRTY copies of Trivial Pursuit or Jeopardy they had, or Karaoke Revolution Party. Which I would've gotten if I had a microphone. But I don't. :P

I live in the wrong area.....My 2 Godwills suck, weather's been too crappy for yard sales, and my ONE flea market has maybe 3 people selling games for RIDICULOUS (sometimes OVER ebay) prices. That being said, there are like maybe 3 places to buy games (I tend not to go to Gamestop very often). Not a game per se, but at the Goodwill the other day (the one that sucks, not the other one that...oh, that's right. they both never have anything) I found a PS1 controller (pre-dual shock) for 1.99. So far for the month, that's it. Hard to find stuff out here in boondock-land (at least, in a gaming sense).

Finally got two games I've wanted forever: The Rub Rabbits and Mega Man X Collection. Got both on a clearance sale at gamerush. Rub Rabbits new was 14.99 and MMXC was half off and was 9.99 new! KICK A$$!! DK Jungle Beat was 14.99 at game$top and the extra bongos were 4.99. DKonga2 was 14.99 and snake's revenge was 6.99 at a local game store.

I played it, being a Double Dragon fan, and was horribly disappointed. I'd have to say steer clear of that one. No where near as good as the trilogy on NES (with DD II being the pinnacle for me).

Thanks thats good to know. I liked DD2 too but when u play super DD you get confused on the DD2 controls. How the kick button and punch button our total opposites depending on what side your facing.

Both games rang up wrong. Worms rang up 8.99, Viewtiful Joe rang up 6.99. I mentioned this to the employee checking me out. I was already irritated with because when I asked if they had Castle Shikigami 2 he just flat out said NO, didn't even bother to check on the computer or anything. They prolly didn't even have it, I understand that he can't control what they have instock but it would have been nice for him to check on the computer if they had it in stock. At least humor me and pretending you are doing it. Anyway he just said Oh, it must be a price change and he said he fixed it. Came home and guess what; prices are still wrong.

I found a complete non-GH copy of FFVII today for 10 bucks at the Salvation Army! It's good to know that you can still find an overpriced eBay target in the wild for a normal price.

Doh. (shut up dude!! :P ) And they had just claimed ignorance in knowing what "these things" were (meaning PS1 games).

I professed to them that I wasn't reselling anything and I was keeping it for myself. This was partially true... I have been rocking FFVII GH silver discs in a non-GH case for many years now... I wanted the original white discs to match, so I swapped in this new copy. Yes, I will be eBaying my old copy for an easy profit though!

I've had the Japanese version for awhile, picked it up in a massive eBay buy about a year ago. There were about 50 games a seller had listed, most starting at like $0.10 or something. The thing was, no one was biting because he had so many listings and most people don't want to shell out $6.00 to ship a 10 cent game. Most of the bids that were there were for the opening amount only. The last thing working in my favor was that all the auctions ended within a few minutes/seconds of one another, starting at like 2am PST. So it ended up being me and a couple other people rushing his listings, stabbing to pick up super cheap Japanese Saturn games since everything was blanketed under one shipping cost. There were a couple games I wanted to begin with, so it would have been stupid not to pick up a few more for pocket change. I believe Magic Knight Rayearth (JPN) ran me like $10.

Jump ahead to last week. My copy of Pretty Soldier Sailormoon SuperS Various Emotion had arrived (yeah, go ahead and knock it, but every Sailormoon game released is a nice little niche collection I can actually complete), going between Magic Knight Rayearth and Sankyo Fever-S Jikki Simulation on the shelf. My girlfriend was here and wanted to play the Rayearth game since it's like her favorite manga / anime series. We we able to get to a point that we couldn't progress by due to the language barrier. So I told her I'd find a copy of the English release so she could play it. So that's what I did, it's the first video game that's "ours." LOL Anyway, I always planned on picking it up eventually but because of her I finally did.

Also, I did try to play the Japanese version previously, but I couldn't figure out what was going on. We were able to get further because she explained some what was happening and who the characters were. LOL

The local Goodwill had like 30 Genesis games, all for $3 each. Of course they were all sports games from 91-93, including six copies of Madden 94. This has become an annoying thrift store staple. Pass.

One Wal Mart by me had only 2 units and they were regular price, $50. The other Wal Mart had them on clearance for $30 and last night that had maybe a dozen left. Only one anniversary model and that was a customer return, (resealed and the security strip ripped off taking part of the box with it.) I did get one anniversary that may go up for trade and a regular one for me to play. Now all I need is a Gameboy Pocket and I'll have one of each model. It's just a matter of time before I find a really cheap one.

over last couple of weeks i felt like i needed a handheld so i picked up a DS lite then i decided what the hell and got the psp as well. i'm slightly broke now but i got some decent games to with it also.. psp: medal of honor heroes, atv blazin trails, killzone, and the umd movie lords of dogtown which came with the console at walmart. DS lite: metroid prime hunters, mario kart, castlevania portrait of ruin, and super mario 64 for ds.

Magic Knight Rayearth is good stuff. I paid $25 for mine (bought a Sega collector's extra copy when he was having a "help me complete my DC collection!" sale - Hikaru disc art... though he meant to send me Umi... 's ok though) and I thought it was worth every penny.

Enjoy the game and think of us little people when you find extra Sailor Moon games. :wink 2:
