While not exactly a game, I did find a new shrinkwrapped copy of the strategy guide for the Arc The Lad Collection for PS1. I was suprised to see it selling for original list price. I had been looking for one for a while and didn't want to pay eBay prices.

I got Barkley Shut Up And Jam and Battle Cars for the Genesis for $1.50 each. I ALMOST got a three game cart that contained Columns, but some bastard snatched it off my hands before I could grab it. Actually, he tossed it on the floor then picked it up again right as I was taking it.

But I did find the manual. And I tossed it out of his reach. :p

Today was also fake wannabe goth day. I found some weird Goth dolls, they looked homemade but were obviously from some Hot Topic... they were mangy so I left them there. I picked up an Invader Zim Hot Topic exclusive figure for two bucks, still sealed. Oh, and a copy of the item on the left for five bucks, sealed. This is NOT my picture. :P Both the DVD set and the figure are going to eBay. I'll pick up the movie on its own later on.

Everything here for $60 - not bad. Many good SNES titles there too. The systems are dirty and yellowed, but I'll clean them up anyway. The games are very clean, surprisingly.

I guess its time for some real finds. I only found 2 NES games at two damn flea markets It seems people are setting up booths especially for selling video games and charging ridicolous prices. One guy tried charging me $20 for a cart only copy of Metroid for the NES. When I said no thanks some kid standing next to me told me it was a good price because its RARE! So I laughed and told him you buy it then. Why is anything old super rare to some people? This is what I got.

I'm still on a lightgun craze, and I just received Time Crisis 2 which I got from an eBay auction. The manual has some rather bad water damage on it, but meh. At least the disc itself is flawless. I'm also expecting TC3 and Crisis Zone... which, fun as they are, won't be as much fun without the LCD Topgun which I am also awaiting. THEN the true awesomeness begins. :2gunfire:

I found this snes at a car boot, yes its a little yellow but it works and i only bought it for the games. The convertor is intresting as ive not seen one like this before, just needs a little cleaning up not bad for £8

That funny. I have a locking display case at a flea market here locally. Right now I run it just to help fund my Xbox collection. I actually have 2 copies of Metriod for NES in it at a whopping $8 Each. I figured it was a decent price to ask sence it is a great game and will alway have some demand. When I price things, I just try to under price my local compititon like Slackers, CD TradePost, Ect. I still make money and give people games at a decent price. I've only been doing this for a couple months now, but I already have a few repeat customers since I change my stock every week. Sorry to hear you can't pick up good games and decent prices. So I ended up getting a copy of Suikoden for 38 dollars and some change. I am glad to say that this is not a joke either. I am definitely excited that I can dodge the Ebay prices.

Had to start picking up some of the NIS games. I noticed they're mimicing Atlus with the limited print run deal. La Pucelle and Makai Kingdom were both $19.99 each. The DS games were both $29.99.

Please, everyone with a DS, go out and buy Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits. It is a well done compilation, and features a bunch of quality coin-ops. I really want to see some follow ups!

I picked all this up for $50. There was originally 3 NES consoles and 52 games, but I gave one console and 2 games to a friend cause I owed him for a playstation he gave me. It came with all the hookups, controllers and zappers as well.

Looks like I got an R7 with Blackjack and an R6 with Deathbots, so w00t.

I went back to the two Gamestops from last month to pick up more items for trade and sale bait. I got six complete DDR Konamix, two loose copies, and two loose Final Fantasy Tactics, all for less than fifty bucks. Apparently the manager got the Suikoden I left behind. :( I also got an Edge card, finally. ;)

I'll complain on friday. :P

No controllers, system runs fine

I'm strongly considering returning the system and just getting the Gamecube for a much cheaper price.

I'll probably end up hanging on to the 360 and waiting for either a) all X-Box games to be supported (doubt this will ever happen) or b) 360 games to drop down in price. The system isn't bad, I just don't get the appeal of it at all.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, on a side note. i was rather disappointed in my hunt, when i stumbled into my local pawn the other day.
for once, yes once, i was pleasantly surprised with some new stock. i looked at all the new game stacks and started to think to myself. i might just buy something today. first off, i was looking for a DDR game for the newly acquired pad. no go there. after that, it was classic time. i look over all the old stock which has been there aaaaaaaaaawhile, and i didnt notice too much. one blueish box did jump out on me though. i'm almost wet, well, not really. i was happy though. seem like i am gonna have to spend about ten bucks. i keep looking and i see an odd system in this place. with a bag of games. i look at the games, which i know nothing about. well, i know a lil. nothing jumps at me in the game department except one. i already own the system and the dude hits me with i kinda wanna sell it all together talk. i back up and just inquire about the one game. it has about 3 or 4 discs to it, so i'm thinking this might be decent to pick up. then it comes, i got hit with the look it up on ebay. i was pissed to say the least, but i kept my cool and didnt say a word. he says well they are going for between 15 and 30ish. i'll let u take it on the low end. i was like no thanks. so, with that in mind, i go to see that blue box i spotted. i ask to see. baaaaaaaaaaaaaam, hit again. what is this sticker on here? not only did i get ebayed once, i got it again. i got pre-ebayed. keep in mind, this guy USED to have a set price on games that was a lil steep to begin with, but i was at least hoping to get this game for that set price. i ask about the sticker which read like 25 bones and he says yeah that's right. furious now. it was a genny title, and i have never stumbled onto it before. maybe a lil more than it's worth, but that's not the point. ruined my week. i hardly buy anything off of them to begin with. they see me a lot though, and kinda know what i like. they do try and cut me a lil slack i believe. i guess i can't be mad at them. it is their biz, and they still would like to make as money as possible. just can't believe it finally happened to me. that's all Jess

I have found that dealing with pawn shops is all about if they know you or recognize you and know you buy stuff from them. I have 2 pawn shops here locally that know me by first name and they always give me crazy deals. Sometimes you have to pick up some not so great finds just to get the good deals when new games come in. I know they feeling on the ebay pricing crap. Last time someone did that to me I kinda pissed them off by telling them if they wanted ebay prices then they needed to sell it on ebay. They don't care for me much in the store, but they never really have anything really worth buying either.
