Edit: I guess I should add that I was only assuming it was the owner, really could have been anybody who answers the phone.
If that really is the reply you got on the phone, then I would definitely say it wasn't one of the owners. There's no way either of them would ever treat a customer like that, or even someone trying to sell them on something.
