The only game I beat this year is Mercenaries on the PS2

#5 - 3/09/08 - Touch Detective (Nintendo DS)
This game was great, I do not know why some say it is so bad. I beat all 4 main episodes, completed the bonus episode, and touched 49 of the 50 items for the touch list. It only took 4 days and I needed a walk through 1 part in the first episode and 1 part in the second and never needed it again afterward.

#4 - 3/06/08 - Sonic and the Secret Rings (Wii)
I didn't know what to think of this game before I started it I love Sonic so I had to get it. Boy am I happy about this game, other than a few stupid Wii remote control issues this game rules, staying up until 2:15am to beat it shows it was well worth it. Great game and first 3D Sonic game I have actually played all the way through!

#3 - 3/01/08 - Ninja Five-O (GBA)
I beat it on easy, it was still semi challenging, mine is a bootleg cart called Ninja Cop (I guess thats what it is called in Europe) I found at a Gamestop for $4.99 and I really wanted to play it so I bought it and now the save doesn't work and I didn't wanna play through half the game on normal difficulty today.

#2 - 2/28/08 - Earthworm Jim 2 (Sega Genesis)
This game was super fun, I beat it without cheats but used continues/password functions. The last level was pretty tough for me but wasn't so bad once I figured it out.

#1 - 2/25/08 - Summon Night: Swordcraft Story (GBA)
I beat this game making as many of the weapons as I could. Is there much to the story after you beat it or do you just go down further and fight more enemies? If anyone could let me know I might keep playing.

Lessee...

Professor Layton and the Curious Village: GREAT. Can't wait for the sequel, dammit!

Silent Hill 2: ALSO GREAT. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I want to get SH3 anytime soon, but I'm leaning towards "yes" at the moment.

Devil May Cry 2: Definitely the weakest of the series, though not as bad a game as others say it is. But DMC3 totally blows it out of the water (which I will beat in earnest over my next break).

Black Belt: Yep, the old SMS Kung Fu-esque game based off of the Japanese Hokuto no Ken title. A damn fine old-school action game, no matter what version you play.

#1: Ninja Gaiden Black
I'm so happy this one is done, it's been haunting me for the longest time.

I am currently working on:
-PSP Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
-360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance
-DS Impossible Mission

Those should keep me busy for a while.

#2: PSP FFT War of the Lions (Great fun to go yet again, but I think this is the last time I'll play this game)
#3: 360 Devil May Cry 4 (Human mode, I'll go back and finish the other mode later)

I put Marvel UA on indefinite hold because I finished the regular xbox version previously, so I was just playing the 360 version to use the characters I didn't get in the xbox version and get some achievements.

Still working on DS Impossible Mission, it really does feel like I'm staying forever lol.

I'm thinking of going back to Gears of War to finish Hardcore, I was a bit more than halfway through when I stopped last.

I'm not even counting the numerous XBLA games I pick up and put down on a regular basis.

#5 - Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm
Another gem in the series. Unfortunately, this one picked up the annoying 'gotta run around to the same places several hundred times' thing from the first game and found a way to make it even more annoying by adding a time limit. The alchemy system this time was vastly different from the last two games and it was slightly harder to try and find unlisted combinations, but getting the right attributes on the right items has never been easier. Overall, a great improvement on an already great series.

#1: Bioshock (evil ending)
#2: LOST : Via Domus
#3: Uncharted : Drake's Fortune
#4: God of War : Chains of Olympus
#5: Heavenly Sword

I hadn't played through Heavenly Sword since I had picked it up on sale earlier in the year ... I had played the demo, but I was waiting for something, a stretch of free time, or a "good reason". When I picked up the Dual Shock 3 controller this week, that seemed like a good enough reason to play through. Oh, what to say about this game ... what to say ... it's a good example of a company being strongly influenced by a great game (God of War) and at the same time trying desperately to disassociate itself by creating a slightly different control style. The end result is a game that could have been so much better if it just was a by-the-numbers play-alike of God of War ... instead we're left with an above average looking title that suffers from a rock/paper/scissors attack/block/parry control scheme that simply does not work the way that it's designed to (mostly due to AI issues). The camera is also problematic. Not a bad game, but one that could have used another year of development, and not one that I'll ever go back and play through again.

Hmmm, I've played through a lot of crap lately, especially on the Genesis...

Wolverine: Adamantium Rage - Mini-Sabertooths during an acid flashback ftw!

Altered Beast - Wow, one could conceivably finish this during a commercial break.

The Punisher - Better than I expected, especially with the gg code to keep your gun out all the time.

Spider-Man + X-Men: Arcade's Revenge - Kind of a sequel to Wolverine for the nes, and more than kind of sucks. I remember this game being ball crushingly hard when I was little, but man... I cheated my ass off just to finish it, and it still felt like I was chewing glass.

Captain America + the Avengers - Hilarious from start to finish. So Vision's gay, right?

Ms. Pac-Man - 2 Player co-op makes this game even better.

Paper-Boy - The nes version is so much better. Way too fast.

Wheel of Fortune - Well it does have credits. This is probably the best example of the uncanny valley in the 16 bit era. Those blank stares, they pierce me...

Don't ask, I've just wanted to plow through some slightly bad Marvel games. There is hope for my Genesis though, as I haven't finished Beyond Oasis or Zombies Ate My Neighbors before... Oh, and I did beat GTA-San Andreas for the second time, this time on the PC. It took me nigh on two years to beat it from installation, lol. Easily one of my favorite games, although quite long... I wonder when I'll finally get to play GTAIV... :( There's no way I can afford to buy a 360 right now, and there's no sign of a system price drop/pc release. Maybe in a year or two...

After being sucked into WoW for the past few months I have recently cancelled my account and am happily back to playing all my other games; new to the beat list:

4/10 - Guitar Hero (PS2)(expert) - After getting to the last song on 80s, the last two on III, and beating II; the first installment is very easy...though the pull-offs and hammer-ons are so retarded-stupid to hit.

-------------------------------
1/8 - Resident Evil 4 (Wii) (normal mode; time = 19:05'30'')
1/14 -Growlanser II Sense of Justice (PS2) (Riviera met; time = 20:06)

#15 Fatal Frame

I finally picked this game up earlier this year and have to say it was worth every penny.

5. Icewind Dale II. A while ago, but forgot to post it here. In my opinion the worst of the Baldur's Gate / Icewind Dale series. It just seems uninspired and articifially lenghtened to me.
6. Pokemon Diamond. Today. That is, I am the new Champ, and I won't bother to catch em all. I consider it over.

Started with Phoenix Wright 3 yesterday, so that might be #7...
