Just beat Duke Nukem Forever like an hour ago on my new PC
don't know why everyones given it such shitty reviews. My only real true complaint is that it was kinda short.. Other then that. Good game

Meh. Not a terrible game, but it just can't stand up to the other Sonic games available on XBLA or even Sonic Generations. Worth playing, but I can't recommend it for anyone other than fans of the franchise. Rating: 3/5

Just completed The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for GameCube. Took 43 hours and I got... 17 golden bugs, 36 poes, and was short 11 pieces of heart. I must say that it was a really enjoyable game except the first hour in Ordon Village. The beginning of this game sucked the enjoyment and interest completely out of the experience - I'm fortunate I didn't give up until I had just met up with Midna. However, I did save right after and didn't touch the game for 8 months as a result. Still, picking up from there was a game I found that kept getting better and better. Now I'm looking forward to Ocarina of Time!

I beat Bowser in Mario 3D Land a few days ago. I rescued Peach and everything was seemed like the end...until Luigi came into the picture.
It can be disappointing when you think you've beaten a game only to find that you haven't. Except when it's a good game like this.

On the one hand, this is another Sonic game with annoyingly bad controls. On the other hand, it's pretty damn fun and comes off as fairly awesome. Looking forward to maybe seeing some creative DLC.

Just got a Kinect, so I'm working on Gunstringers, then it's back to Skyrim and FF13 I go. I'm usually a one game at a time type person, but during Christmas I seem to get tons of games. Skyrim isn't a bad game to take a break, esp after 65 hours.

A great classic for the original Gameboy, it's short but it's a perfect handheld title that can easily be beaten in a sitting and, along with the Extra Mode, allows for some decent replay ability. It's not as good as Kirby's Adventure or Super Star Saga, but it's still a great entry in its own right and was a great start to one of Nintendo's popular franchises. 3/5

I never thought I would see the day that I actually completed iball - I first started playing it around 20 years ago! Tough game. I couldn't have done it without saving plus I got lucky with the electro shield in the final level. The game really doesn't want you to beat it. I never got rainbow ripple though...

Just completed Metroid Prime 2 Echoes on GameCube. First time clearing so normal difficulty, 95% scans, 89% items (missing 2 energy tanks, 2 power bomb expansions, and 7 missile expansions) in 23:03. It's a strange game and one which gets better as it goes along. Perhaps that could be said of all Metroids but still it's worth mentioning. Once I got into the groove it was easy going up until the end. I'm not crazy about the key fetch business but it's something different and not horribly tedious. In comparison to Metroid Prime, the end battles might be easier in this one. Still, I enjoyed it and will go back to hard mode one day.

Just finished Insecticide for the DS.
That was an awesome game. Although it was rough around the edges and had some questionable collision detection, I loved its characters and the hard boiled detective atmosphere. It would make an awesome cartoon.
I like the variety of game play. Every other stage is an action stage and the in between stages are done like classic point and click adventure games. I'd like to eventually try the PC version, as it supposed to be the definitive version, too bad the last part of the game was never released leaving the DS version the only complete version.

Very soon I will be adding Resistance to the list.
And now it's added as my first PS3 game ever beaten. Thats kind of sad considering I've had a PS3 system for nearly a year. Anyway, I really liked this game overall. They could have been a little more giving to the automatic checkpoints but I loved the short brief mission structer as opposed to the large sprawling missions that can sometimes take 1-2 hours to finish. One thing that sucked was I actually got stuck between a ramp and....um, a rock at the second to last part of the game. No big deal, just weird.
The reason this game was as playable as it was can be sumed up in two parts. First, I used a third party controller that mimics the 360 analog stick set up. Playing fps games with the normal dualshock 3 is a burden to most people who are use to the 360 controller set up, including myself. And second, Resistance allows you to completely customize your controls. This was a Paul send and made the controls as perfect as they could get for a fps game on the PS3. I didn't really know the specifics of what was going on storywise in the early part of the game but as the missions went on I became more interested. I can't wait to tackle Resistance 2 but up next on my PS3 playlist is Uncharted 1 and for that I will use the regular dualshock 3.

Finished Saint's Row: The Third last night with 100% completion. Still have a few achievements left, but those can wait. I have no desire to run around the map for another 12 hours waiting for phone missions to trickle in. Life is too short. Otherwise, another fun open-world game. Not the best of this generation, but definitely the best of the series.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles (using Sonic) 9/10
First time beating it fully with Sonic and it was totally worth it, that final fight was unexpectedly awesome. I don't like the bonus stage as much in this as in Sonic 2, and some stage designs seem there just to piss people off but overall, probably the best of the MD titles when combined like this.
Spriggan Powered (SFC) 6.5/10
While the Risky Tech feature (gain bonus points for flying close to enemy bullets) is fun, this doesn't do anything new and the stages are mostly very simple as is the weapon system. Seems like it's more fun on Hard though so I'll try that some time.

Completed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time today on the Zelda Collector's Edition for GameCube, on GameCube. I was missing 18 pieces of heart, what I assume is Nayru's magic, the 4th bottle, what I assume are the ice arrows, and I did not complete the trading game to get the final sword.
I am disappointed in myself since I much rather would have played this before The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess because I feel this game challenges the player in ways neither of those games do (moreso TWW). There is very little hand holding, despite Navi, and it encourages the player to figure things out on their own and so forth. I also appreciate the fact it's more close in style and execution to A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening, two games I quite enjoy.
It was great ride and the final battle, it was pretty damn cool. Not sure where I'll go from here, perhaps Majora's Mask or maybe something completely different.

1. Kendo Rage (SNES) 1/31
I guess I'm off to a slow start for 2012, but oh well. It was nice to finally beat Kendo Rage. Most of the game is pretty easy, but that boss rush is a pain, even more so considering the final boss at the end has three forms. This game seems like the sort where you really benefit from getting through the rest of the game without losing any lives (or very few) so you can have a stockpile of lives greater than what you get with a fresh continue.

I checked the review scores on GameFAQS after I bought this, and all three of them gave it a 2/10. I'd say that's a bit harsh... it's simply completely average in every way. I picked it up for 25 cents at a Habitat For Humanity thrift store, though, so I'm not going to complain. It was totally worth it.

You don't need the furniture for that. For Drac, you need to collect all of his body parts/relics and wear both JB's Bracelet and MK's Bracelet.
The ONLY thing the furniture does is that if you have it all the girl in the ending will lean against you instead of standing next to you. Seriously, that's it. Most people don't even notice the difference until it's pointed out to them.

Completed the 44th stage in Bangai-O on Dreamcast today. I've had the game six years and every so often I'd peck a few more stages away. Yesterday I carried on from 38 and today from 41 to the end. The final stage is a real cracker since it's tough, long, and the final boss can easily annihilate you in under a second.
This game has it all - comedy, great 2D graphics, huge explosions, and robots. I'm also quite pleased about the extra options that are unlocked after beating it, giving you the option to give Mami her shot type from the N64 version, now that's damned cool.

Finished Duke Nukem Forever on "Normal" today. Hardest FPS normal difficulty I've ever played. Jesus. DNF is essentially a game full of cheap, one-hit deaths, "put-Skyrim-to-shame" loading times, and frustratingly annoying FPS puzzles. That being said...it's not a terrible game overall (better than the reviews would lead you to believe), just one that I have no interest in playing again. I can't even imagine how infuriating this game would be on the hardest two difficulty levels. Ugh.

7. Phantasy Star II
8. Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom
9. The Simpsons
10. Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium
I'm not sure if this game was just way shorter than the last three, if the grinding is just managed better or if I've just become Phantasy Star Jesus, but I blew threw this game with hardly any hang ups. Great game and a great way to end out the series.
Finishing that also finishes off....
11. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection
Awesome collection is awesome. Has plenty of my favorites and a pile of games that were new to me. I'm a sucker for compilations, in particular good comiplations.

7. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360, 2/1)
8. Rayman Origins (360, 2/10)
This game wasn't even on my radar and it took me completely by surprise when I finally played it, it's a great platformer and the team at Ubi should be very happy with what they've done with this game. The visuals are bright and colorful, the music is quirky, and the games sports a perfect, though sometimes frustrating, difficulty level. This one get my highest recommendation and I think it's a shame it hasn't sold better because I would love to see another Rayman game done in this same style.

Did you just unlock everything, or did you beat every game on the compilation?

I just beat Donkey Kong for the Gameboy, and I have to say that this sequel to the franchise was some of the most fun I've ever had on a platformer.

Guardian Heroes
Loved this game back on the Saturn, I had to get used to some of the changes since that version, but it's a great port and certainly worth the $10 they charged for it (especially when you consider what a physical copy on the Saturn goes for).
Sonic
Forgot to ever play the unlockable version on Generations, but now I've done everything on that game.
