I think the soundtrack bundles may have sold out even faster with the second half, geez. After seeing how fast the stock sold with the first batch, I figured what the hell and ordered a standalone PS4 copy too. Now to just see if it's possible to have my orders manually combined, but if not, no biggie. Looks like they're going to have to up the print runs yet again for the next game. I'm really hoping they can eventually figure out that sweet spot that'll maintain enough demand to sell through everything but at a comfortable rate so that it's not a mad dash. Obviously it'll vary from title to title, though.

For those that did it on this game, can you order a PS4 copy and a Vita copy in one order or do you have to create two separate orders?
*edit*
Anyways, I'm at work right now and saw the recent post so checked Limited Run games to see if any were available and there were some Vita version available. I decided I'd just pick one up. Too bad there were no PS4 versions left, I probably would have just went for both of them.
Refreshed my screen and apparently the PS4 stock was still available, or some sort of cancellation went through or what, went to add it to my cart and reorder and nope.

I did the same thing a couple of hours ago. The only one available was the Vita version, so I bought it. Then a half hour ago my friend (he posts on here as megasdkirby) put up a link on my Facebook for the PS4 version. Said there were only two copies left. I added it to cart, but as soon as I did, it said sold out. So I refreshed a couple of times, and it went to 1 copy left, then to "sold out", to back to one. Finally, it let me buy it by PayPal, and I paid. We'll see what happens next.

Thanks for bumping this topic. I missed the first batch, but got one of each in the afternoon. I don't think they actually restocked the soundtrack bundle though. I added it to my cart within seconds of it saying it was back in stock, but as soon as I tried to checkout, it said they were out of stock. I tried several times with both versions, but the same thing happened every time.
So anyone get their yet in the mail?

Nope, but it could be up to two weeks until some orders ship. They have one person doing all the packing/shipping. I'm very excited to see what new titles they announce after Oddworld and Cosmic Star.

Haven't even received a shipping confirmation yet. No biggie, though, I don't mind waiting a little while.
I know they had the PS4 print run on hand before the game was put up for sale but not the Vita copies, so I wonder if orders for just the PS4 version (plus or minus soundtrack) will go out slightly faster, if perhaps the Vita print run is still in transit to them.

I didn't even know Oddworld was going to get a retail release, guess I'll get that one as well. I looked it up and it said it'll only be getting a Vita release. Does anyone know if the news sites are leaving out for PS4 or is it only coming out for Vita.

No announcement has been made other than for the Vita version, but Limited Run Games has indicated that it's up to the developer if they want to do a PS4 version as well.

You're probably right. I saw a couple of people receive theirs on Twitter and they were both single PS4 copies.

This is a regular thing, but I just wanted to complain. Resellers that purchase these games to immediately throw on Ebay are scumbags. Don't care who you are, if you purchase something like this with the intent of making a profit of people who actually want a copy and nothing more, you're a piece of shit scumbag. Get a real job and stop being a dick by making profit on someone else's hard work by being a vulture.
*edit*
Also, yes the comment above sounds hash, but this is a limited availability item that everyone has access to that people actually want. Something that is gone with 30 minutes, that's how much people are interested in getting a copy. This isn't like these people found a pile of Earthbounds at a garage sale or a local store for $10 each and wants to profit on that. This is something that is limited and these people are taking away the availability from someone else to make several times more money than what the publisher is making for a single sold game. It's just a really dick move to throw this up on Ebay before you've even received your copy. Hell. If you had a marginal interest and then you kept it awhile and then decide you don't want it, selling it then is a reasonable expectation, but not buying it just to sell it and screw people who actually want a copy.

I'll third that. I kept quiet about it more or less when I was out in CA and back west I had flea market options near by that still got stuff and wasn't douche priced using internet phones everywhere. Out here you're stuck with retail stores, retail resale stores, or wannabe retail spots in flea market interiors. There are no deals unless everyone missed a game with a low sticker on it. Craigslist 95% of the time has nothing, not many predators here, they're too lazy so they just post 'sell your crap for cash' ads instead. So when I see the stuff going on with dicks buying stuff just to flip it I used to get cartoon vein in head throbbing furious about it because it was attacking someone like myself who has no access to supply, let alone supply at a fair price. I did, to a slow point, but half price books 6mo after I got back here felt a new policy should be to find the highest EBAY bin in the active history, match or match it with shipping which killed the other spots around here as they got picked clean for profit or trades. It's the #1 reason I backed off buying NES/SNES stuff at all, unreasonable garbage behavior by scumbags.
The sad thing is it's not like I've avoided it as I wanted some Amiibo, we saw that scam go down hard until Nintendo started a year later reprinting the original run characters mostly, yet even now good luck finding Donkey Kong or Pit, let alone some Fire Emblem characters (don't care about those, DK and Pit I still lack which I do.) I've got an empty space on a high shelf for those 2 if I ever find them for $13-14 they retail for...kiss my ass paying like $20-30 for them.
I've seen people do this also with Retro City Rampage DX on PS4 (2K run) and Vita (around the same?) too. Bought them instantly had them up on ebay before they even received them, the PS4 game still goes over $100 used or up to $150 new. The sad thing is I still have it sealed. I ended up getting the fangamer package and using the code on the PC version and it didn't very well click with me, but I just let it sit there which bites at me, but I don't want to be that new limited seller douche too. :( I'd rather put it into G1 Transformers or Lego Id like.

Latest info is that LRG doesn't have the Vita copies yet and won't until Monday afternoon, so if you've got a Vita copy in your order, don't expect a shipment confirmation till then or later. They also say that they're going in order of when stuff was purchased, so if you bought from the second batch, I guess expect shipment later yet.

This makes sense. I just asked Zap! about it as well.
My status still says "UNFULFILLED" and was quiet worried, as LRG stated that those orders that were cancelled will be available once again on Feb 16. This scared me as I thought mine was cancelled...but since mine includes the Vita version, then that makes sense.

So my copies came a day earlier than expected, but my PS4 copy showed up damaged :( With the Breach & Clear I ordered, and in the pictures of the crates of Saturday Morning RPG packages ready to ship, they used nice plastic bubble mailers, but my stuff this time was packed in a cheap paper bubble mailer that got ripped along the edges where the games were inside. Sighs, I've been having the worst luck with ordering games online lately. First Nippon Ichi sends me a standard edition when I ordered an LE, then I order two different new games from GameStop and both are opened and have some wear, and now this. I'm not even super picky about condition, I just expect brand new copies to be like new. Well, I'm off to send an email.

Back in October. That was their first release. Saturday Morning RPG is the second one (or second and third if you want to count the different platforms), and next up is Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty (though Cosmic Star Heroine was announced before Oddworld, it's still in development).

My PS4 and Vita "Saturday Morning RPG" both shipped the other day, separately. Hopefully, they arrive tomorrow or Friday. I never got an e-mail saying they shipped. I just happened to check my e-mail from January 29th, and clicked the link. A tracking number was given.

Yeah, I ordered the Vita one because it said they were out of the PS4 one. Then an hour later you IM'd me that there were 4 left, so I was able to get one of those too. :)
They both came today unharmed, separately. They also came with a sticker and a card.

03-16-2016, 10:23 PM
Last I heard, it was supposed to be sometime this month, unless it's gotten pushed back to April. It should definitely be the next release. Cosmic Star Heroine is still in development, and the developers are saying it'll be done sometime between June and August (and I don't know if the physical print run will come at the same time as its digital release or later). LRG also announced that they're releasing physical Vita and PS4 copies of Futuridium, a Star Fox-ish kind of game. That's already out digitally, so I'm assuming the print run isn't terribly far off. It's probably the next one after Oddworld.
Edit: Scratch that. I just skimmed through some of LRG's recent tweets and they're saying "hopefully April" for Oddworld, so I guess March is a definite no. Makes sense, considering we're already half way through the month and there's been no announcement.

Limited Run games is definitely smart for increasing the price. They're taking advantage of the situation through supply and demand, but I would do the same thing considering the people that put these games on Ebay and make a profit off their work.

Well, Oddworld Inhabitants probably had more say in the price and print run sizes than LRG. Let's hope that these copies will last longer than with the previous two games, since the PS4 version's getting 5000 copies. Vita print run is the same size as Saturday Morning RPG's Vita run, though. I guess they must really think the PS4 version has a lot more demand, for it to have double the print run size of the Vita version.

Both should be easier to get considering they are limiting it to one copy per person per platform rather than the two they did per platform on the previous games. It will be interesting to see if the PS4 version even sells out as 5,000 units seems like a lot.

I think it will sell. If I recall correctly, the PS4 version of Saturday Morning RPG sold out at a much faster pace than the Vita. I think the later sold out an hour or so after the PS4 version. Also, I remember people criticizing that they were unable to purchase the PS4 version because they had problems login to the site. Perhaps they increased the print run in order to cater to as many customers and make them happy? Don't know, honestly.
All I know is that I am asking for the 25th off from work. No way I am loosing this one!

Limited Run Games is starting to really pick up the pace now (much to the dismay of my wallet). They announced that Futuridium is going on sale May 9. 2000 copies for each platform (PS4 and Vita), $24.99 price point for either, different cover art for the two versions. And you can only order one of each platform version maximum.
And then they announced that they're also producing physical copies of Lost Sea (PS4), Rainbow Moon (PS4 and Vita), and Soldner-X 2 (Vita). Now time for me to run off and see what these games are like, but let's be real, I'll probably buy them regardless, haha. Edit: And the latter two will have all new trophy sets exclusive to the physical versions, and all of these will have full-color manuals (hopefully this will be a given for all future LRG releases?).

One for each platform...so that means I can get a PS4 and a Vita copy on the same order, right?
Aussie2B
04-13-2016, 11:20 AM
Yep, they're just eliminating the option to buy 3 or 4 copies (two of each platform version, or one of one and two of another). The plan had been to allow collectors to buy one that they could keep sealed and one that they could open for each platform (or to buy a duplicate copy for a friend or whatever the case), but I guess most people were just taking the opportunity to flip a copy or two on eBay. And with them selling out so fast, I imagine a lot of people who were unable to get a single copy of any version were irked to see people buying up four.

Really glad to see Soldner X2 getting a physical release through these guys. Its an excellent shoot em up game and one I can't wait to own physically (it can sit right alongside my physical copy of Darius for the Vita!).
They do really seem to be picking up the pace with all the new game announcements, I just hope I can manage to snag me a copy of each for my Vita collection/backlog!

I definitely did not expect Soldner-X2 to get a physical release. Definitely one to look out for, even though it's a shame that the first part is MIA (only on PS3).
I just realized that I might be in trouble. My brother is also interested in at least the Vita version of Oddworld, while I want both PS4 and Vita. I think I should contact LRG to see what they say just in case. Also, 5000 for the PS4 and 2500 for the Vita...there was THAT much demand for SMRPG?

I think you can order 2 of each version when the orders go live on Monday but you should be fine. Might be worth contacting them anyway as they are really quick to respond.
As for the PS4 versions - they sold out in an incredibly short space of time - Vita versions sold out slower for sure though which makes me sorta relieved at only collecting for Vita. Plus its Oddworld, so demand will naturally be greater than for SMRPG. Fingers crossed all goes well on Monday...

Got mine! It's still showing the Vita version as in stock for me, but I know those stock bars can be a little slow to update. PS4 version is under 25%. I guess they were right to think the PS4 version has more demand, if twice as many copies can sell through nearly as fast as the Vita copies.
Of course, whoever has trouble getting copies now can try again with the second half of the stock listed at 6pm EST. I would imagine it'll sell slower then, but who knows.

They didn't acquire the publishing rights to their first releases since they already owned those IPs themselves. Limited Run Games is a subsidiary of Mighty Rabbit Studios, who developed their first two releases. It's a shame that they themselves aren't known for creating great games, but if they can publish better titles from other developers down the road, it's all good. They just have to first prove that they're capable of successfully manufacturing and selling physical copies of games. And I suspect it'll go decently well for them since, even if the games stink, there are always collectors who want a rarity and scalpers who think they can make a buck off of rare games. I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of the copies bought will remain sealed. Which is kind of silly if the people buying end up playing the games digitally anyway because they don't want to open their sealed copy, but whatever floats anyone's boat. I'd be opening mine.
Anyway, speaking of Zeboyd, there are rumors that the third Limited Run Games release will be Cosmic Star Heroine, but I'd take that with a huge grain of salt for now.
Ah, this is why my credit card statement said Mighty Rabbit lol.

I wasn't online when the second batch went up, but when I took a look around an hour or so later, the Vita copies were already all gone. PS4 are still up as of right now, with what appears to be about 25% left. Kinda funny to see a reversal from how things went with Saturday Morning RPG, where the PS4 copies were gone lightning quick while the Vita copies lasted for several hours, but the double-sized print run for PS4, along with the order limits, are definitely making a difference.
I'm curious to see how Futuridium will go. I don't think it'll have nearly as much demand as Oddworld, but with that game it's back to a mere 2000 for each platform.

Uridium (dos) was one of my very first PC games that came on a CD with a headstart 386 I got in christmas of 1990. Damn I miss that disc, love nothing more to find another just to run those games through the dos box grinder.

Since the PS4 copies lasted 24 hours (sort of but not really; it's not like the first batch was available all that time between 10am EST and 6pm EST), they removed the one per platform limit. Not sure if that means people could only pick up a second or if it was unlimited at that point. Either way, I'm not sure how I feel about that decision. I'm sure they want the relief of seeing all the stock sold, and it is nice for people to be able to pick one up for a friend or what have you. But ideally, I'd like to see these games available for a few days at least. I'm lucky that I'm self-employed and work from home, so I can be pretty flexible with my schedule and get on there when these games are put up for sale, but I'd still love to see people able to pick these up more at their leisure.

As of now, Vita has sold out and there are 2 copies of the PS4 version left. People are already selling them on eBay, and someone has already bought a PS4 version for double what they could pay now.
While the person might realize it's not within the time frame, to not atleast look and see if there are any copies left, especially when they knowingly increased the amount to 5000 copies, that just goes to show how stupid people are.
I think it's a bad decision for Limited Run Games to allow multiple purchases again. With as many copies that appeared on Ebay for both the PS4 and Vita, the games will once again be gone within 30 minutes and people who actually want a copy will once again be screwed out of getting one because of scalpers. I don't think the game being for sale for one or even two days is so bad, even a week. The stock is still being sold off and the games are still limited in print.

Everyone had a fair shot at the PS4 version. I have no issue with them wanting to clear inventory once the 24 hour window closed. Their business model doesn't have any margin for error and that includes keeping stock sitting around or having money tied up in inventory.

Then maybe it's best if it could be coordinated to make a statement and no one buys their game who actually wants it. Let the scalpers sit on them. I know it's not practical but a public show of it could be made in the gaming press showing that actual buyers are boycotting their allowance of scalpers buying all the games to rip honest buyers off at a premium.

I only bought the vita version this time for oddworld. I didn't realize there is only a little over 150 region 1 games(untll about 2 weeks ago), and I already have 40+, so it looks like im collecting for that system now. The reason I didn't buy the ps4 version, was because I don't see myself going for a full set of ps4 games, and its not super unique. Have it on psn, and its same trophy list as the ps3/vita. Its also not a RPG, which i go out of my way to collect for. Had it meet any of those other criteria, I would have picked up the ps4 version. The DLC on the disc, wasn't a factor for me.

Clarification - we *want* to distribute a physical Yakuza 5 and totally understand the demand. Let @SEGA know you want it through us.

Next release: Xeodrifter.
It's meh for me. Already played the Vita version, so no need to actually purchase this one. I MAY do it...depends on many factors...mostly money and idiocy to spend it when I can't...

I got XeoDrifter free on PS+ and enjoyed it, but I don't think it's something I enjoyed enough to purchase, even at retail. I might change my mind and still jump at the purchase. Overall it's a good game, but it's what you'd expect of a budget Metroid game.

I've never played it before, so I'm looking forward to it. I had been hoping for them to pick up some 2D side-scrolling games. I'm surprised that they announced it so close to the release. I had figured one of the multitude of games they've already announced would come out prior to something that was unannounced until today. As it stands, it looks like it'll probably be available mid-June.
On an unrelated note, I gotta say I'm a little annoyed by how they're shipping Oddworld. For some reason, they're packing games up and just hoarding them in order to ship out all at once, I guess in some notion of being "fair". Personally, I don't mind if other people get their copies before me. I'd rather have some shot of receiving my copies sooner rather than later instead of everybody having to wait the maximum amount of time. As it is, it looks like my games were packed up a week ago but not handed off to USPS until presumably today. I dunno, it's not like I'm super antsy to get them, it's just a bizarre way to approach shipping to me.

Well to be fair, would you want to waste the time and take several trips sending them out an x number of copies at a time or just get them sent out all at once and avoid taking multiple trips? I don't care either way honestly. It's still cheaper shipping than NIS or Square Enix and they still take 10+ days to get the items you've ordered to you.

I think having the ready packages sent off/picked up once a day would be reasonable. Or every other day, or even just at the end of each week. There are some people who have been staring at an order listed as "fulfilled" and a tracking number that hasn't updated for nearly two weeks. If a company doesn't have the time to pack up a purchase right away, that's fine. It just irks me when something is packed and all ready to go yet is still sitting there for days.

They are using a fulfillment company for Futuridium, so maybe shipping will be quicker this time. Gotta say I'm kinda disappointed with some of the upcoming games. The collector in me will still buy them, but I'm not super excited about the upcoming release list.

I'm quite happy to see Xeodifter getting a release - its a game I enjoyed via PS+ so I'll happily buy a physical copy. Though I do hope they also do a physical release of Mutant Mudds for the Vita - mainly because I prefer that game to Xeodrifter but also because the Vita version of MM never got a Euro release.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. For the record I'm not bothered about having them shipped off in batches, I was just concerned that my tracking info hadn't been updated in 5 days. I just checked mine today and its finally on its way out of America.
