I'm surprised no one else here is bringing up these guys. Seems right up our alley between the collectability of a physical copy + the rarity of a tiny print run (even smaller than much ballyhooed rarity of Gaijinworks' releases). Here's some info:

http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2015/10/07/limited-run-games-to-offer-exactly-what-the-company-name-says/

I can't say I had even heard of the games they're starting off with, and I can't say they sound or look that great either (Breach & Clear has pretty lousy reviews). But it's still an interesting prospect. Considering the low print runs and fairly low price for the games, I might nab them anyway, just to give them a shot. Or least for any Vita games they release, since I like the platform and it gets so few physical releases as it is. I hear Breach & Clear is at least improved from the digital release, so perhaps it's now not as bad as the reviews make it out to be.

If they can actually manage to keep this business going, I hope they can advance beyond C-tier indie games. I'd especially love to see some Japanese games, but they don't localize and I kinda doubt the publishers who have localized Japanese games for digital-only releases would hand over their IPs. But there is some nice stuff coming out on Vita digitally that could sorely use a physical copy.

EDIT:

Since Limited Run Games has been in business for a while now, I thought it would be worthwhile to create a master list of their catalog. NOTE: Updates stopped being made in September of 2019. This info is only accurate up to that point.

For the time being, all releases have their print runs split in half on the day of release, with the first half available at 10 AM EST, and the second half available at 6 PM EST. A minimal stock of canceled orders is also made available at a later date. Order limits are generally one, sometimes two, per game (or one per platform if the game is available on multiple platforms).

I don't have a PS4 or Vita so whatever they start with won't really interest me but I agree that the concept holds potential, especially if they release stuff like the example of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 because games like that always disappear after awhile due to rights expiring. Maybe in the future they could even do some print runs of imports that never came here such as Metal Wolf Chaos or some of the Fire Pro Wrestling titles. I'll have to keep my eye on this.

Is this different from Indie Box?

Never heard of Indie Box before, but that's cool what they're doing too. That's limited to computer games, though, and it sounds like they're just throwing them on a flash drive. Limited Run Games is doing console/handheld games (so far just Vita and PS4), using the same medium as any regular retail release on those platforms.

It still is similar to Indiebox. I have one for Steamworld Dig and it's very nice. Yes the game comes on a HID(security card) sized flat card that flips a thin USB plug out to install the game with (and there's a steam code) but it's all physical still.

Shame that company appears to make some truly crappy games, hopefully they got something good coming up as noted that Breach game got bad reviews.

Remember fangamer did this too and for Sony as well which goes to show how easy going and lax Sony is about publishing low rent digital games as physical for the market -- Retro City Rampage DX for both PS4(I have it) and Vita (don't) which came some months after. They're limited I think to 2-4K copies so even a smaller run than these guys stuff. Also there have been others too with Teslagrad, Pure Pool, Pure Chess, Pinball Arcade, Plants vs Zombies 2, Stick it to the Man, Shovel Knight (multi-format) and the too delayed upcoming MIghty 09 (also multi-format.)

The games that they're getting publishing rights so far are crap. Would be nice to get a retail release of some of the better indie games. I'll list off just ones I've played, I'd purchase Spelunky or a Zeboyd Games RPG compilation.

It's a process. They are releasing games they have ready access to first and they have extended an offer to many other indie publishers to release their games on physical media. If the first two releases sell out, they are planning on releasing many more PS4 and Vita indie games and we should hopefully get some really good ones.

They didn't acquire the publishing rights to their first releases since they already owned those IPs themselves. Limited Run Games is a subsidiary of Mighty Rabbit Studios, who developed their first two releases. It's a shame that they themselves aren't known for creating great games, but if they can publish better titles from other developers down the road, it's all good. They just have to first prove that they're capable of successfully manufacturing and selling physical copies of games. And I suspect it'll go decently well for them since, even if the games stink, there are always collectors who want a rarity and scalpers who think they can make a buck off of rare games. I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage of the copies bought will remain sealed. Which is kind of silly if the people buying end up playing the games digitally anyway because they don't want to open their sealed copy, but whatever floats anyone's boat. I'd be opening mine.

Anyway, speaking of Zeboyd, there are rumors that the third Limited Run Games release will be Cosmic Star Heroine, but I'd take that with a huge grain of salt for now.

Wow a newly developer MSDOS game on a 3.5" floppy. That's insane, got to give them all the credit in the world for that and Linux too.

LimitedRunGames -- nice to see a developer pop up on here, glad you joined. I do hope you're right and those talks and sales pan out because if you can score some high quality stuff to publish in such a fashion if it's appealing to me and on a system I own I'd buy a physical release 100% of the time over a digital rental copy.

On Zeboyd Games Kickstarter for Cosmic Star Heroine, one of the tiers are to get the entire series from their collection, and with the game being released on PS4 does that mean they're putting their other games also on PS4? I own them on PC but would like to own a physical version of the games on console. Then they can get additional digital sales. Hopefully with a PS4 port they'd fix the score mode on Cthulu Saves the World(doesn't work on PC.) Would purchase a compilation with Breath of Death 7, Cthulu Saves the World, Penny Arcade 3, and Penny Arcade 4 on one disc for $50. $60 with all games plus Cosmic Star Heroine. Would buy Spelunky, Rogue Legacy, and Fez. If you're taking suggestions those are some of mine.

Well my take in it is both I guess my age, but I also believe that if I pay for something I should be allowed to actually own it and therefore control it. I own a Kindle too and I've seen what happened in the past with them where they lost the right to have 1984 the book, and they got sued and lost over it when they stole everyones copy when they lost the rights to sell it, so they pulled it, and through wifi erased it off peoples kindles! Nintendo/Konami much did the same on Wii too when they lost the rights to TMNT (Turtles) and pulled that stuff when Ubisoft grabbed the license. There's enough even if it's few precedents of games being bought, used, then stolen by the distributor for one lame ass reason or another stealing peoples money and game away. They smile and don't care because they have EULA fine print that states it's on their terms, you get a license, you own nothing, and it's basically a short term digital rental they can revoke. I had it done to myself once before too as Sony released a mobile version of Loco Roco and this was years ago but my phone choked and I got a new one, when I went back to download my stuff I couldn't find it. I called the mobile company and they said SOny pulled it and blocked current owner downloads and apologized like mad that it was gone for good and their hands were tied -- I was furious.

I won't pay more than $5 pretty much for any download because of that as it's crap. I still buy physical CDs and Blu-Rays too. I even own Retro City Rampage DX for PS4 on disc as I got in on that before they were snapped up by greedy flippers for over $100/ea on ebay.

Thanks for the updates! I don't imagine Breach & Clear will sell out super fast (heck, even the mere 300 copies of Elminage Original were available for about a day), but I think I'll register in advance just to make things easier for me.

Oh man, I just looked up more info on Saturday Morning RPG and found out that Vince DiCola did the soundtrack. I think that alone is gonna sell me on it, and I don't even have a PS4 yet, haha.

Edit: Haha, I just noticed that print run for Saturday Morning RPG, that's cute. I assume it's 1980 and not an even 2000 because the game is inspired by 80s cartoons?

Hey LimitedRunGames, I have a couple questions.

1. When will Saturday Morning RPG be available for sale?

2. You guys will ship to Canada right? this isn't a US only thing?

3. Do you have any other games on the near horizon?

4. Will you add PS3 games...? There are literally several hundred PS3 digital-only games that I would LOVE to buy through your service!

5. On your twitter page I saw physicals of htoL#NiQ, Class of Heroes 2G, and Retro City Rampage. Will you be releasing any of these? I want them all but I missed the very limited window where they were for sale. It would be awesome if I could get them through LimitedRunGames.

6. I know it would be naive for you guys to take requests, but nevertheless I just want to list the games that I would be the most interested to buy phyiscally through your service should any of these be possible.

1. When will Saturday Morning RPG be available for sale?

You can pre-order it November 26th and it should be available January.

2. You guys will ship to Canada right? this isn't a US only thing?

We will be shipping internationally.

3. Do you have any other games on the near horizon?

We do have other games, but that is a secret for now! ;)

4. Will you add PS3 games...? There are literally several hundred PS3 digital-only games that I would LOVE to buy through your service!

We may in the future. We aren't doing PS3 right now because the way the game behaves on a PS3 disc is different then a PS4 disc. The PS4 disc will just install the game and run from the hard drive. The PS3 disc will stream the game from the disc. It's not as easy to take a digitally released title and put it on a PS3 disc because it may behave wildly differently.

5. On your twitter page I saw physicals of htoL#NiQ, Class of Heroes 2G, and Retro City Rampage. Will you be releasing any of these? I want them all but I missed the very limited window where they were for sale. It would be awesome if I could get them through LimitedRunGames.

We won't be doing any re-releases at this time unfortunately.

As for number 6, we do take requests! I can't promise anything, but a lot of people asked for Cosmic Star Heroine and we were able to deliver!

Too bad that a relationship with Nintendo is likely impossible. I'd love to see the following over there...

-Fatal Frame 2 (English translation was done in Europe for this Wii release, but passed over here)
-Disaster: Day of Crisis (A European Wii release many were curious about back then)
-Fatal Frame 5 (Mixed reviews for this Wii U title, but it's still a solid game and it's only averaging on Metacritic about 10 percentage points less than the series typically enjoyed in the past)

I'd mention Fatal Frame 4 or the New Play Control port of Chibi Robo, but that really would be dreaming since I can't see Nintendo ever licensing out an in-house franchise like Chibi Robo to an outsider. And the translation expense for Fatal Frame 4, unless a deal could be struck with the fan group that unofficially translated it, would be budget breaking for you guys. Licensed 3rd party content though like Life of Pixel might stand a chance.

I'd make a list for other platforms, but there are too many worthwhile digital exclusives or imports to list. So I'll just settle for replacing the previously mentioned 'Resident Evil 4 HD', which was more like 'Resident Evil 4: Upscaled' since it doesn't even render its untouched assets into HD (Let alone have redone HD textures like most remasters have), with the excellent and properly remastered Okami HD from the same publisher.

It's more deserving of retail attention I think. And the collectors would snap this one right up if a deal with Capcom could be made, unlike the well known mediocrity that was Resident Evil 4 HD. And it's likely a much easier proposition since Capcom still views Resident Evil as a flagship franchise and I suspect will be revisiting RE4 themselves later this generation if the following remasters continue to succeed. Okami on the other hand shows little evidence of continuing anytime soon.

And focus on the PS4 for your next-gen projects like you're already doing. Not only is Microsoft hard to work with for a small publisher like yourselves, but the XB1 is also much less offline friendly.

Oh I TOTALLY second all of these, especially Fatal Frame 5. Goddamnit. I would very very gladly buy a physical version of the North American NTSC release. Please please please try and get in touch with Tecmo and find out if it's even remotely possible for this to happen.

The WiiU doesn't have a very large storage capacity, yet the download version is a whopping 16GB. For this reason alone a physical release is the better option.

I'm surprised they sold out so fast, especially considering this is a game that's been available for play for years and hasn't gotten great reviews, whereas a publisher like Gaijinworks struggles to sell a couple thousand copies of games that have good reputations, have never been available in English in before, and come with extra goodies. I guess this just shows that Limited Run Games knows what they're doing in terms of marketing. I hope everybody who wanted a copy managed to snag one! I hear there is a tiny bit of stock set aside for time zones that are in the dead of night right now, so I guess some folks may still be able to land a copy.

I wasn't really interested in this game, but I am interested in the next release. I hope our friend from Limited Run Games can give us a heads up on when that will be available for sale like he did with this release. I really hope these guys succeed in their venture. I'll buy physical releases all day as opposed to digital....even if I already own a digital copy.

I played the CRAP out of Rouge Legacy, and would absolutely get a physical copy.

Sadly I think the fact that Limited Run is setting a definitive number of copies is what's pushing people to buy. Gaijinworks games are extremely limited as well, but the print run's pretty much equal to the number of people that purchase it.

The only games I can remember Gaijinworks making a big announcement was the Class of Heroes games and Summon Night 5. One is an RPG genre that's gotten bloated and not many people are popular of, the other is a long running series that's never been relevant in the US, even when we've received some of its mediocre games. This new Summon Night looks like a TRPG instead of an action game but doesn't look any less mediocre. These games are also PSP games, and that in itself is a barrier of entry for some. Some people don't go back to the previous gen.

If Vic wanted to bring out something niche but good that most people don't know of to the west, games that have that past Working Designs feel. Why not something like Soma Bringer? It's also a past gen game, but two things. The gameplay speaks for itself, and all Nintendo fanboys are fapping over Nintendo owning Monolith Soft. The fact that it's made by Monolith Soft and throwing "created by the developers of Xenoblade Chronicles" would net a few thousand sales easily with how popular they've become to the hardcore Nintendo fanbase right now as well as the resellers who will buy and hoard a few copies for that same reason. He's really went for some bottom of the barrel trash than what people would be actually interested in.

Why I think Breach and Clear sold well was that people who own the Vita are desperate for retail games and this gameplay atleast does look unique in how it's played, regardless of its quality. That and there's a clear limited amount. I almost exclusively purchase at retail and I've purchased Vita games I've had even the slightest interest in just because how few games there are for the system. Because Breach and Clear wasn't on console and exclusive to Vita and did look unique in its gameplay, I decided just last night that I'd pick it up. Well. When I got off work it was gone, which is no big deal, but that's how badly the Vita needs games, to kind of sway my opinion on that.

In part I'm sure that's the case, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I also have preordered the Gaijinworks games, but it seems to take forever between running the interest survey and then running the preorder campaign and then finally having the games manufactured and delivered. I prefer the quicker delivery and greater certainty that comes with knowing when something will be put on sale and how many will be produced with the Limited Run Games model.

Yeah, I'm honestly amazed that copies of Breach & Clear are already shipping. I figured they wouldn't even manufacture them until after sales were complete. Though maybe this manufacturing in advance is a one-time thing, since Saturday Morning RPG will have a delay between sales and shipment. Either way, waiting a month or two is nothing like the molasses-like process of Gaijinworks.

When I said sadly, I just meant that Gainjin Works puts out good games that should see more attention. Not that Limited Run or Gaijin Works are doing anything I disapprove of.

But yeah I agree, Gainjin Works also kills some of the hype by dragging the process out. Give people too much time to contemplate a purchase and they'll talk themselves out of buying at all.

More like Lightning Fast Games, I ordered Breach & Clear on Thursday and had it in my hands on Monday. Also it sounds like the restock sold out real quick too, even with the 1 per customer limit. I'm gonna sit out the PS4 version of Saturday Morning RPG, but I'll definitely be back for the Vita version and the Vita version of Cosmic Star Heroine as well. It's a shame the games suck. Physical releases do not entail the game to be any good. They won't be worth anything but a glance at your shelf to remind you how shitty this gaming thing has become. People think garbage download games put on physical media will be worth something? Keep on dreamin, dream on.

How about physical releases of actually good games? Guacamelee, Resogun, Velocity? Sillyness going on.

Welcome to game collecting, are you new here?

If people will spend thousands of dollars on Stadium Events, which is not an amazing game and can also be had easily under the name World Class Track Meet, then, yes, of course collectors will pay big bucks for games that aren't very good and can be played under other circumstances just because they're very rare. I'm not saying any of these will definitely be worth a lot someday, but at a minimum, Breach & Clear will probably never be worth less than what it just sold for, given the small size of its print run. That's a pretty low risk scenario if you prefer physical releases and just want to give a game a shot.

Collectors are one thing. Print runs of this size selling out within hours won't get the games into the hands of a significant audience interested in the actual game.
As much as it can help achieve the long term goal of encouraging future physical releases.

Tanooki
11-03-2015, 08:56 AM
Well then perhaps if it's a decent enough game some would honestly play it and not hoard it to screw people in selling the thing later, keep doing more print runs of diminishing size. Eventually those who really want it will get a copy, and those who tried to game the system can suck it. Seems like an all around win then as the publisher makes even more money on more copies and game players can actually play it.

From what I saw, there aren't many people going crazy with Breach & Clear on E-bay. I only saw 1 completed listing sell for a high amount. Then I see 2 others for sale and they are ask $300+ for them (which I hope no one pays that price for). I'm sure more will make it up on ebay within the next couple weeks, but 3 out of 1500 going immediately on ebay isn't so bad.

I really hope I can order the next release on time. If it goes up at 11:30am on the 26th, I'll have to take a break from peeling thanksgiving potatoes to get online. If there is a several hour window like the last release, then I should be good to go.

That's not bad no. I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of stuff I saw from insane collectors over at NA where you'd get small or limited (even numbered) releases and sure a couple could go up pretty quickly, but usually a little time later they start to pop up for sale for some reason or another and the fighting begins because it just can't be picked up. Sure those were bootlegged warez unauthorized prototypes and homebrew, but I think a pattern could match it. It's just unpredictable, look at Retro City Rampage on PS4 sealed and unsealed.

I'm really really hoping that Limited Run games does some awesome stuff in the future like Mercenary Kings for PS4. I want that game physically.

Aussie2B
11-03-2015, 01:34 PM
Hopefully future releases won't sell out quite so quickly. I mean, with Saturday Morning RPG, we know it's getting both PS4 and Vita versions, and the PS4 version has a print run of 1980. If the Vita version gets the size, that'd put it at nearly 4000, over twice that of Breach & Clear. Of course, that's two different formats and some will treat them as two entirely different releases, but I bet a lot of people like me are just going to buy it for one system or the other. If the existence of the PS4 version means less demand for the Vita version, making it easier for me to land a copy, that's good by me (and vice versa for those who just want it on PS4). Same goes for Cosmic Star Heroine, which will hopefully have larger print runs for each of its versions.

As for people actually playing these games, I hope a fair number get in the hands of people who intend to do so. All I can do is my own part. I'm not gonna say that people don't have every right to keep them sealed, purely as collector's items, or to even sell them off eventually for a profit, if that's possible and they'd like, but part of the reason I posted about this publisher here in the first place is that this community has the type of people I'd like to see buying these, if anyone is so inclined, as opposed to scalpers and what have you. Most of us are collectors who value physical copies of games and do take interest in low print runs, but we're also gamers who play what we collect.

Tanooki
11-03-2015, 01:40 PM
Totally agree with that sentiment, and even now I'm gripping with that over a possible CDX purchase and in turn getting cartridges -- complete, loose but nice...do I need the expense or save the goodies for those who value them and won't flip the stuff or not?

We can only hope this developer sees more and more runs of the games so anyone who wants to enjoy them can in a physical real format they actually own and in turn the fortune of luck grows so more things can happen too. In a screw ball way it's loosely like stuff like Atlus once was...small developer, picked up screwball stuff no one would give a physical (regional) release, and did so with moderation so people could enjoy them where they wouldn't be stuck with leftovers while gamers got the goods and not hosed over it after the fact so everyone won.

It looks like another X-COM clone. When there's a story and some exploration in between the battles I'm all over those (ShadowRun Returns is a perfect example). I think we will see higher print runs from this company eventually. Limiting the first release to 1500 copies is a basic example of a good business strategy. Obviously the interest is there with Breach & Clear selling out so quickly. They could make 5000 copies of a game and that's still a pretty limited run. I certainly hope for success for this company as they are doing a great thing for modern gaming.

You know one thing one could do for the collectard/flipper types who buy and don't play, do like they did with old NES manuals, put a -1 or a period after the serial code on the label or back ink however it's done on Vita, etc (I forget.) Identical otherwise 100%. Let the fools fight for the scraps and let the game players not suffer for it. No need to do asinine numbered panic releases or differing stickers to troll people, just do a print revision # like old NES games with the -1, the (Star), or REV-A on the back of the cart. Same game all around and if someone wants to get anal over back of the disc/game card letter codes, let them get into a fit over it in a corner where they can be ignored.

It's best to do measured releases being new, but to keep pumping the stuff out as long as the demand is there. Leaving money on the table is stupid, only second in stupidity to overprinting and sitting on stock to lose a heap on.

That's not their business model though. Without some sense that reprints won't be made, you probably would lose a massive amount of the audience for buying these releases. Personally, I don't care about the limited nature or the rarity, but many other people do and I understand that for this business model to work, the limited nature of the releases has to be maintained.

Yeah, there were even people losing their shit when they heard about the 300-some Breach & Clear restock, assuming that it was additional copies on top of the 1500 run (which they weren't, just cancelled bulk orders).

Personally, I don't have a problem with the one-time printing. I just hope that they can gauge demand enough so that future games have enough copies to at least last for a day, preferably longer yet. Just so long as it isn't too much of a mad dash to buy. As far as I'm concerned, they give pretty ample time to learn about what's on the horizon and when it'll go on sale (I mean, the Vita and PS4 versions of Saturday Morning RPG and Cosmic Star Heroine will probably take us through January at least, I'm guessing? And the sales date for PS4 Saturday Morning RPG was listed on the site a month in advance), so it's just a matter of checking in once in a while and keeping tabs on the sales dates of whatever you want. It only sucks for people who won't learn about Limited Run Games until after titles they want are already sold out, but that can happen with countless games.

Why not put all of their output on a single BD/Vita cart? That's greedy putting these tiny games on physical, individually. They could easily fit their entire catalog on a single disc.

Your arguments are ridiculous and all over the place. You had argued that B&C wasn't going to maintain it's value because it's not a great game. As others have pointed out, Stadium Events and many other valuable older games are not great games in the opinions of many people. That doesn't mean they aren't valuable or sought after by collectors.

There's nothing greedy about giving people what they want to buy. The game sold out, so clearly there are plenty of people that think Limited Run Games is doing something worth doing. There are also plenty of people seeking out a physical release of Breach and Clear as 1500 copies sold in just over an hour and lots of people are posting on various message boards about how much they wish there would be a second print run. You're free to not buy their products, but that doesn't mean that others are going to follow your lead or that your opinion carries any weight.

That's about the way I feel about. I'm not sure why they don't choose to use pre-orders to gauge demand.

I see Breach & Clear on Amazon for $475.00. It's kinda sad, but not unexpected. I guess people have every right to make as much profit as they possibly can. But I wonder what the developers and publishers think when they see it.
I'll be curious what the used price will be a year or two from now.

Fortunately, it's a bit better on Ebay. $75.00 shipped seems pretty reasonable to me.

I think they've already explained why they aren't doing preorders to gauge demand. It's pretty clear that a good chunk of the demand comes from people knowing there are only "x" number of copies being produced. If you take that away, a significant part of the audience and the urgency of people ordering goes away. Just look at how much Vic at Gaijinworks has struggled to get enough people to just commit through a non-binding registration system and then an actual purchase system to hit just a few thousand copies of his games. Sometimes the preorders have had to drag on a month and even then he barely made the minimum to make it financially viable. Gamersedition has similarly struggled and I believe only one (Hotline Miami) of their three projects has reached the preorder goal and moved forward to publishing. IndieBox figured out almost immediately that a subscription model was the only way to make things work for their business as people deciding to buy each individual game or not was too variable and uncertain. Personally, I like what Limited Run is doing and hopefully this will open the door to other small publishers doing physical releases as it seems to be a more viable model than hoping gamers come along with an interest in preordering a particular game.

Spartacus hopefully it infuriates and encourages those game publishers seeing people flipping their work at such high dollar amounts to make more copies available IF they see suckers paying 2, 5, 10, 20x the value of what they're pricing the game at. They'd know people were interested if they were dim enough to over pay that badly on a game. Some would do it thinking it's a collectors item which is incredibly foolish and others because for some reason or another they really want it that badly to use. You have to pity the system adopters who come in a few months/years after such a small run having to eat it or leave it for such games or those who just have a financial crunch during that window (or just miss it if it's really faster than a day) as it's not their fault as much as the sponges who want to attempt to grease someone else. Retro City Rampage PS4 got like 2000 copies made, and a bunch of them went right up on ebay before they even arrived in their hands well over the $100 mark and I think it still is over $100 at this rate if it's sealed.

Bojay1997 already got the reason why they won't be printing any more of them, a lot of people are buying these because of their limited availability and perceived appreciation in value. If the publishers kept printing more copies until everyone who wanted one had one, there would be no value in them and people wouldn't want them. It's the same appeal that any limited collectors edition has for any type of hobby. Mass production only works if something has mass appeal, which these games in physical form don't have.

That's why I threw in hopefully there from the beginning. I know why it's done, I just don't like it or agree with it. There are others in the same boat that have been popping up in mass in the bargain bins at Best Buy and what not for like $15-20 -- Pure Pool and a few others, decent games too and all originally downloads. I'd rather things were consistently made but in small numbers until demand is satisfied than help prop up the ignorant greedy flipper mentality types is all.

Aussie2B

It's not going to go on sale today. It got "delayed" to January 15th. Originally they were doing it like a preorder so that they could fund the Vita version, which would've been put up for sale in December, with both versions shipping in January. But they decided that they'd rather open sales when they actually have the game already manufactured so that they can ship immediately, like they did with Breach & Clear. So the PS4 version goes for sale on January 15th and will ship right away, and then a little later, the Vita version will be up for sale and shipping as well.

Saturday Morning RPG has been put up for sale! I managed to snag a Vita version + soundtrack bundle. :D They're putting their stock up in halves, the first just went up at 10am EST and the second goes up at 6pm EST. The first half of the soundtrack bundles sold out ridiculously fast (less than 10 minutes), but there's still a small amount of just the games available. If you guys want, either rush over there right now, or be sure to be on their site at 6pm sharp. I'm guessing there won't be quite as much of a rush then, since there are probably plenty of people like me who wanted to jump on the first batch and not take any chances, but who knows. On Twitter, I see LRG is considering limiting orders on the second batch to one per person per platform, though (for the first batch, you could order two per platform, so as many as four, though only one soundtrack bundle per order since there are significantly fewer copies of the OST available than the game).
