I picked up some games today:

PGR 3- 44.99
Futurama(xbox)-19.99
Paper Mario 2- FREE

I love buy 2 get 1 free sales. Also these were a gift from parents for getting 5 B's and 1 A's. That is like a 3.1 GPA and that is something I haven't done since the 6th grade.

My haul from the Midwest Gaming Classic this past weekend:

http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/4528/219ht.jpg

Highlights are a sealed TG-16 Military Madness, a 2600 KidVid tape player, A bunch of hole-filling NES manuals, and over 1/3 of my remaining needed Genesis titles...not to mention a helluva good time.

My Power Glove finally came in the mail. It took a while because it was returned to the sender but it only took 4 days the second time. :P

I went to the cinema to see The Omen (meh) and when I came out, I was five minutes over 2 hours on the car park, so I thought I'd make the most of the extra £1 spent and went to Gamestation.

I picked up 3 Mega Drive games and 3 Master System games. They were £1.99 each and buy one get one free (£6 for all of them). Nothing special but they're space fillers.

Side Pocket (MD, Complete)
Corporation (MD, complete)
Cyborg Justice (MD, complete)
Jurrasic Park (Master System, complete)
Sonic 2 (Master System, boxed)
Dynamite Dux (Master System, complete)

I was thinking of walking out and going back in to get some £5 BOGOF SNES games but decided I couldn't be bothered for what they were.

They had a loose Nomad with no cables or anything for £110. LOL

Arrived in the mail today:

Resident Evil Survivor (PS1)
Star Wars Episode I Racer (DC)

I’d been looking for RE: Survivor in the wild for years, and the two or three times I did find it the copy was too scratched up for my tastes. The one I received is awesome, toss it in a new jewel case and it will be perfect.

When Episode I Racer was first released, I passed it up because I already had the N64 and PC (super-awesome at LAN parties, need to get the PC version again) versions.

I traded a game and guide I had $0 in, so essentially these two only cost me the $4.55 shipping to send my side of the trade.

Just got an eBay victory of 5 Saturn games:
Street Fighter: The Movie
NBA Action
Bottom of the 9th
Hang-On GT
Manx TT Superbike

Not too excited about NBA, but have been wanting to try out Bottom of the 9th for awhile. On top of that, it should be interesting to get a taste of the live action Street Fighter game. Last, I'm trying to get most of the racing titles right now. To get Hang-On and Manx TT I'm quite pleased. :)

From Tuesday at the flea market, the vendor with the pirate Gameboy multicarts wasn't there but I did find a few items...

Sega Saturn Model 2 (loose)
Saturn control pad by High Frequency (loose) x2

Genesis - Air Diver (loose)
Genesis - Ayrton Senna's Super Manaco GP II (loose)
Genesis - College Slam (loose)
Genesis - Phantasy Star III (complete)
Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog (loose) x2
Genesis - Streets of Rage (loose)
Genesis - Streets of Rage 2, NFR version (loose)

$10 for all.

http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/DP-Finds-06-07-06(02).jpg

The Saturn has a crack on the front of it, didn't even notice until I was cleaning it up, but it works fine. This one is bound to be paint modded (after swapping the top half of the shell) and US/JPN hardmodded. The battery is dead of course and there was a cracked copy of Virtua Cop inside. LOL

http://www.startoursinfo.com/junk/DP-Finds-06-07-06(01).jpg

One of the copies of Sonic the Hedgehog is dead, oh well - project cartidge shell. Most of the carts will go into Genesis bundles. The copy of Phantasy Star III is in nice condition but "SOLIS" is written in sharpie across the cartridge label. If anyone is interested in picking it up please let me know now as I'll be leaving for awhile on the 18th.

Well, have fun, it's a decent shooter after all (although personally, I think it pails in comparison to the origional GigaWing and Mars Matrix).

$46 bucks!!!! (For Giga Wing 2 complete)

Well, have fun, it's a decent shooter after all (although personally, I think it pails in comparison to the origional GigaWing and Mars Matrix).

OK you're not the only one who said $46 bucks!! The copy was mint it's unbelieveable (no scraches anywhere).

I didn't mind paying that much money for Giga Wing 2, consider I was playing a lot of the game thru a CD-R copy and that made me sad. :(

Most of the time I saw Giga Wing 2 going for $35-$40 on many forum sites.

In the end I didn't care how much it cost, I was bored. ;)

I love all the Takumi shooters equally (Mars Matrix, Giga Wing 1 and 2). ;)

Actually Fighter17, when I wen't $46 bucks!!!, I meant it more in the lines that I can't believe it goes for that much. I was figuring it would generally be around the $30-$35 range. I guess interest has spiked quite a bit on it. After all, it is one of the more uncommon U.S. DC releases.

I don't really scoff at people who spend a decent sum of money on a game. It's worth the money if you truly want and enjoy the product. I've paid high prices for games myself in the past. For instance, I payed $15 for a boxed (no manual :/ ) copy of Truxton for the Sega Genesis. By pricing standards, I overpaid, but it was a game I truly wanted and have never looked back. It's one of my favorite Toaplan shmups.

A boxed, mint Atari 2600 with 13 loose cartridges for £7.

I finally have something to post and actually I now have two things to post here now. But first my first find of the week I got:
2 SNES systems with 3 controllers
Genesis model 1 with wires but no controllers
SMW, Super Metroid, Sonic, SMB/DH, Hogan's Alley, Three Stooges, Track and Field 2, Faxanadu(w/ manual) and Galaga '90: lose
Keith Courage, Final Lap Twin and Bonk's Adventure: complete
Last but not least I got the manual and map for Final Fantasy.
All this I got free from my in-laws, now if only they hadn't gotten rid of the TG16 I'd be able to play those now.

And the find from this morning: NDS (http://cgi.ebay.ca/NINTENDO-DS-LITE-SYSTEM-CRYSTAL-WHITE-NEW_W0QQitemZ104750296463QQcategoryZ62054QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem)

Thanks;

Shoot me an offer..and I'll let you know.... I lifted the two boxes earlier again and IMO it might be murder in cost to ship..I might have to part it out in two..

Scenario:At the flea...the vendor I got this stuff from I don't like dealing with as he's tricky..He'll say something is in a box and it's not...I have to check everytime now..
I looked at the boxes and they were taped shut and the tape looks like they've been closed for quite some time..(I can see he never opened them )...I made an offer with him saying,"oh yea it's all there"... he jumped on the price I offered real quick and that made me think I better check,I better check real well. x_x .I might get two boxes full of garbage..
I wanted to make sure of the contents of the boxes before walking away so I asked can I check before I buy it...He agreed with a hesitant answer and a funny look. :hmm:

I open the two boxes up and his eyes popped out at all the nice white boxes..He says laughing"I change my mind now I want to sell it all separately" ...(DAMN IT!!,I had a feeling this would happen but I didn't expect the contests to be that nice..) :/ ..He counts 13 items and starts placing them on the ground for sale separately....

..I like what I see but I'm not paying the price he wants now..He tripled it......I walk away..thinking F that......First he says the two big boxes are complete yet he doesn't know and I'd really like to tell him he's full of it..

He stops me before I get away and keeps pushing for an offer..I decline three times,I'm pissed now and lost my desire for it....
This guy would of clearly screwed me around yet when I go check the boxes he screws me around anyway..I lose both ways.. x_x
Finally we make an agreement to a price I negotiate and I take it..I still paid more then I wanted to(IMO too much)..but not his price and I feel better that I had checked before leaving..
Reason why I even bothered:This is the first time I've ever come across one of these in all my years of Flea market and garage sale hunting..

The last guy I told off at the flea market hasn't been there since . :D .I don't feel I scared him away...I think he may have got complains as he's just plain nasty to people.
Or maybe he got punched out.LOL  .

Hey guys, you havn't seen me for a while.

Basically, I've been going to bootsales for about 2 months, and slowly got out of the Retro Gaming world, as everything is gone when I get there. People are asking lots of money for games, and I've just been so disheartened.

Actually its that damn rllmuk's fault, ever since I found out that other collectors are in the area, I've been constantly thinking "I'm not going to get anything, they've taken it all" before I get to the bootsales, which isn't a good attitude! I considered packing it all in, concentrate on new games, sell the collection :(

But today, I got a lonely Blast Corps cart for a £1. It was the best feeling I've had in a long while. Now, one game a bootsale isn't bad for me, I only collect what I want to play, and I'm very tight, £5 is my max with any retro game. But, it felt so good to hunt down a cartridge on a random stall. I remmebered why I love collecting, the thrill of going in pawn shops, around bootsales and everywhere else, not knowing what you'll find and eyeing a bargain, going "I saw this in a list of top 10 N64 games, better grab that". Walking around the rest of the bootsale looking for more, with that cart in your hand.

So basically, after all that, Blast Corps - Cart Only - £1.

And beside, summers here, there is no way I could pack in collecting at summer!

Great finds guys, Caut with his "why the hell do I never find Super Famicoms" finds and buttloads of games for Steven, Goodwill Hunter, Videogamerdaryll, joshnickerson, etc etc etc!

At the car boot today all I saw were a few PS1 games for £5 each, and a box with a Mega Drive 2, 3 loose games, and a joystick for £20, no offers. They wouldn't sell the joystick on its own, so I passed.

Then I saw a pile of Dreamcast stuff. £8 for the console, or £12 for the lot. There are 2 VMUs in the controllers.

Nearly all of the cases are broken, but it's not bad for £12.

Too chilly and rainy to warrent a trip to the flea market today. Oh well, the GameStop/EB Games finds from Saturday were pretty good, if not a bit spendy. I forgot to use my Edge card at EB, so the games that end in .99 are from there, except One Piece Mansion and Little Ninja Brothers which I got from MicroPlay.

Finally, an officially licensed PS1 controller by ASCII, and it was free :rocker:

I've decided to cut back on driving and spending on video games and concentrate on other things by only game searching every other Saturday. What I managed to find yesterday:
2600:
Haunted House Atari ($1.00)
Circus Atari ($1.00)
NES:
Rescue: The Embassy Mission (Cart+Man - $1.00)
SNES:
Super Tennis (L - $0.50)
Football Fury (L - $0.50)
GEN:
World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck (C - $0.10)
Comix Zone (C - $0.10)
PSone:
Darkstone (C - $3.00)
NDS:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare (New - $20)

Obviously nothing too spectacular but am quite pleased to finally grab Darkstone. For some reason it's been hard to find the last few months and had an urge to grab it and it's already lived up to the gameplay I expected. :)

Darkstone is one of my favorite pc games. It was really great, better than Diablo in my opinion. I got a brand new mint copy complete in box from half price book for $4 the other day.

Also, I have got to give props to godsey1 from whom I bought a bunch and I mean hundreds of pounds of game consoles, controllers, games, etc.., for $100 flat. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with. I can't wait to pick it all up and take pics. I will post them next month in the July finds thread.

Gamestop once again has their "Buy 2 used games, get 1 free" deal.. No problem. Hit up 2 different Gamestops in the area, not far from each other.

In the Apple Blossom Mall:
Resident Evil (complete - Gamecube) - $9.99
Resident Evil 0 (complete - Gamecube) - $9.99
Star Fox Adventures (complete) - Free

In some closeby stripmall:
Luigi's Mansion (complete) - $9.99
Turok Evolution (complete) - free
Donkey Kong (cart only - Gameboy) - $7.99

Oddly enough, Turok Evolution cost more than Donkey Kong, yet I got it for free.. No biggie.

Not a bad day at the flea market, today I got:

2600 Paddle Controllers-good condition, need some cleaning-$3 but worth it so I can play some of my 2600 games

And after I did my little OCD thing with carts and boxes, I ended up getting the ones I did it to

Blackthorne-CIB-good condition, needs cleaning, box is banged up a bit
Doom-CIB-box is in good condition, needs some dusting off
Motocross Championship-cart only, good condition

all for $8 not half bad, the guy was trying to sell me a genesis, 32x and about 7-10 other games for 50.

I passed up a boxed Odyssey 2(spelling?) for $10, and another Odyssey 2 CIB with games(some sealed) for $40.

And yesterday I had stopped at a Goodwill to look for more games and I found a CIB(i think) GBA TRU Limited Edition black system, it was $17 does anyone know what these go for/ are worth?

So my brother dragged me to get some metal doors for our house, since the entire family is leaving for Tennessee in three weeks. I grabbed my wallet and when we were close to leaving the flea market, I saw a guy selling NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, XBox and N64 stuff. I saw a few Genesis games in the back, so I went there... and picked up Phantasy Star II and III, along with Whack-A-Critter, for $17 ($200 Pesos)! All three came with their case, manuals, and the carts are practically mint! The only problem? Like many local vendors, the guy had the games out in the sun so everything's faded to hell. :(

Oh well. :P
