Some good deals at the Gamestop sale today:

http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/405/gh360.jpg

360 Aerosmith GH $9.98 (wired guitar $0.01 :D) x2
360 Namco Museum Virtual Arcade $14.99
PSP Silent Hill Origins $9.99
PS2 Persona 3 FES $19.99

Although none of the Gamestops were aware of it, when you ring up the Aerosmith game and WIRED guitar controller, the game comes up at $9.98, and the X-plorer guitar (normally $39.99) comes up as $0.01. The stores I went to had these guitars (normally free with a wireless Aerosmith bundle) in the back, so you'll have to ask for them. Looking to trade the second Aerosmith game (sealed) for a used 360 Guitar Hero II in good condition. Lots of other good deals there...there is a list with prices on CheapAssGamer if you're interested.

mana khemia rosenqueen deluxe edition thing with large box and figure - $17.99 used at gamestop
I was really surprised to see that traded in. It was still the same price as a used mana khemia and everything was there so I'm happy.

Hit a flea market and nabbed Midevil for PS1, Yanya Caballista for PS2 and a Wavebird with no sensor (:() Only paid $1.25 for it all though.

Sears netted me Final Fantasy 2 for the PSP, K-Mart had Manhunt 2 for PS2.

And hit the Gamestop sale too. Valkyria Chronicles, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, Final Fantasy 1 for PSP and Metal Slug 7.

Best part is that my Leisure Suit Larry: Ultimate Pleasure Pack arrived in the mail yesterday :D

I was going to pick up that game for a friend, but I didn't have a chance to go there today. I backed out. If they still have some tomorrow then I'll drop by and buy it for him. I really wanted to buy P3:FES... :(

Mad Catz 7.0 LCD Screen New from Gamestop $39.99 (Well $18.88 after trading in Wii Music and a recharge cable for 360 controller).

It is great to have this screen that I can use my Modded Xbox on, and also with my Saturn, and my other systems since it has universal clamp to connect to the systems.

I might have to go back and get the other one they had.

+1 I knw riet?!

Actually, it has every Larry game out there (Save for the 2 non Al Lowe ones). I think it also includes the original game that was later turned into the first LSL - "Softporn Adventure"

The collection from a few years back didn't include the Remake of 1, The "Talkie" version of 6 and Larry 7 altogether.

Today I had to drive my half-blind mother down to Waco, TX, so on the way back I hit a few thrifts and things.

First off, I went to the FX GameXchange store in Richland Mall, and picked up (all loose): Killer Bees, Sid the Spellbinder!, and Smithereens!, all for the Odyssey2, for $1.95 each. I also picked up Gremlins for the Atari 5200 for $2.95.

At a Goodwill, I bought a Ms. Pac-Man plug-and-play wireless version for $5. And later, at a Goodwill Computer Center, I bought (also loose) Dungeons of Daggorath for the TRS-80 CoCo for $2, TI-99/4A Demonstration cartridge for $2, and a TI cassette game called Night Mission. It felt weirdly good to have the opportunity to buy a TI game on cassette again, like back in the olden days. :)

Firstly, I remember seeing that exact copy of 5200 Gremlins. I don't have a 5200 so I'm glad someone that could use it bought that.

Did you know, at the Goodwill Computer Works, they throw out 5.25" floppies? It's true. I saved Battle Chess from there one time. They were going to throw it out. Anyway, I'm also glad you found something there. They rarely have any interesting video game related stuff.

And yes, I live in Waco and I know the places you went to. You should've checked out the Goodwills on Valley Mills Drive and Hewitt Drive. They have the best stuff out of the 5 Goodwills here.

I wish I had hit all the other Goodwills, but I didn't know where all of them were. I had put screengrabs of thrift locations from Google Maps on my iPod, but I didn't get everything. And I didn't even know about that Goodwill Computer Works, I was there because there's a thrift next door that I found on Google Maps (which turned out to be a women's clothing thrift).

I used to live in Waco when I was a kid, but I couldn't recognize anything this time, all the landmarks have changed. Even when I drove through in 2003 to go to the Austin Game Expo, I still sort of could tell where I was. The place has blown up since I was there! Couldn't even find my old house. Still, I have to go back again to pick my mom up on Thursday, I might hit a thrift or two I missed today. And I'll probably eat at Buzzard Billy's again. Great little restaurant. EDIT: About Buzzard Billy's... my gut's been rebelling against their food since I got home, I've been in the bathroom six times since I got back. I think I'd like to retract my recommendation of that place.

I only ended up with 3 common O2 games ($1.99 each) that it turned out I already had and a loose Seaquest DSV for the Genesis ($0.99.)

But the guy who got to Goodwill just moments before me . . .

He walked out with a 2600 and a pile of games, and much more interestingly, a Turbografx16 with controller. We spoke a little bit, and it only cost $6.99.

Man! The Turbografx and the Neo Geo are the only two systems left I'm hoping to pick up. In 4+ years of collecting, I've only seen a Turbo in the wild ONCE. At a used record store. For $75. And then it shows up at a Goodwill that 15 minutes earlier I was complaining to my wife never has anything good anymore. So close!

I'm happy for the guy, though. He was excited. Glad to see it going to someone who wants it, rather than the ebay/craigslist sellers who have pillaged this Goodwill over the past couple of years.

Just received three Master System games from eBay:

Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego (CIB)
Rocky (Boxed)
Black Belt (CIB)

Not fantastically rare items, but they were $0.99 a piece. :D

Today, I got Tron on CED in the mail. You know, that early 80's RCA video format.

The cost? It was free. The guy really wanted it out of his house.

$1 each. I wanted Dagon and From Beyond, but I saw Dead Alive and figured I'd get it too. The comic is for Scans Daily.

The famicom games I received in a lot off of the forums for around $230/shipped. Electroplankton I picked up on another forum for $25/shipped. The doubles from the Famicom lot (many copies of Dragon Quest II through IV) are available in my trading thread.

I picked up another copy of Illusion of Gaia to replace my non-working one (or, at least, it won't work for me, even though there don't seem to be any defects on the board) and Super Battletoads/Double Dragon for $4 each today.

went to my video store that about 18 months ago I had the best snes find I have ever had. 18 months ago I got all these boxed: Earthbound, Chronotrigger, FF 2, FF 3, Harvest Moon, Breath of Fire, Lufia, DKC 1-3, Ninja Warriors, Metal Warriors, Final Fight 1-3, Contra III, Zelda LTTP, SMW 2, and a bunch more. About 50 games for $5 each.

So today I decided to go back today to see what kind of deal I could get on the rest of his stuff. So I got 125 games for $250. Here are the pics, about 50 or so are sports, but rest are not, nothing great, but for $2 each what the heck.

Woah, nice find. I would've personally cherry picked it though because there is a high amount of crap.

it was $5 each if I cherry picked some or $2 each for the whole lot, so I just did the whole lot.

I figured the guy was great to me on the find I had 18 months ago. I bought 50 games for $250 then and kept about 10 of them and sold the rest and made about $1K off that deal, then I bought about 30 N64 and 20 PS1 games from him too and made a bunch more off of him. He needed the money so I figured what the heck.

Monster Madness(360) $4.97
Jampack Vol. 15(PS2) 75 cents
Star Wars TBM dvd $4.00
LOTM Promo cd $3.00
TNA Knocked Out dvd $15.00
Speed Racer $13.98
Memory Card Adapter(PS3) $3.74

Monster Madness and Jampack 15 were both from Sears. Despite Jampack only costing 75 cents the clerk actually tried to sell me an extended two year warranty for 11 cents:? After I told him that extended warranties were rarely ever needed for games, I reminded him that this was a clearance game that they didn't have any more copies of. He went on about how I could use the purchase price towards something else and I told him getting 75 cents(if the game broke down) off my my next $20-40 purchase wouldn't be worth it. I think the final thing he said was I could get 15% off my next purchase if something happened to the game but I kind of tuned out by that point.

...

...

Thank god I'm no longer the only person in this forum that owns that CD.

I was excited to find that on cassette a few months ago. Sadly, the tape must have been demagnetized, as several songs fade into silence, with the other side of the tape audibly playing backwards (faintly).

It's a good album, no shame in owning it. :rocker:
