I found all this at a garage sale for $35. I even got Power rangers and Super Mario 4 bootlegs. Wooo Hooo

:above me: I had that Transformer as a kid. Actually, I got what few of them my parents still had back a couple years ago, and so that one is down in the basement right now! (quoted image because we are on a new page.)
In case anyone cares, the Saturn worked perfectly. I spent an hour last night playing Fighting Vipers and... um... Blazing Dragons.
Heh, when I bought a Saturn lot several years ago I played and finished Blazing Dragons and Mega Man 8(?) before selling it all. One/some of the Monty Python crew wrote for Blazing Dragons, so I gave it a shot. Pretty funny, and worth playing, though I used a walkthrough for a lot of it.

Yesterday and today:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/finds158a.jpg
Stuff on the left was thrift finds yesterday, on the right garage sales today.
I'd sworn off N64 consoles (have 8 I think now), but it was 4.95 w/ the exp pack, so I took it. Pokemon games were 5.80 each, Poke pet thing was .80, and MGS VR was 3.80 in nice shape. 2 copies of Warcraft 1, and Warcraft 3 were all $5 each... stupid (smart?) goodwill prices nearly all discs at 4.99, so that's more than I'd normally pay, but still worth it I guess. They also had Warcraft 2 and Expansion, but passed on them.
Club House Games was $10. For some reason I thought this was worth more than its original retail price of $30 now, but guess I was thinking of something else? Maybe I'll be able to get my wife to play against me since we now have 2 copies.
Pikmin and MP4 were 5 each, Luigi was 4, Monkey Island Madness .5, and M&MVI was 1.00. M&M is actually in real shrinkwrap... it has a UPC, so must have been a re-release at some point.
This radio was too cool to pass up for .50:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/finds158b.jpg
Not really sure if I'm gonna keep it, but pretty neat. Anyone know anything about it or if it is worth more than the 0.50 I paid? It has the 'official Nintendo licensed product' seal of quality on the back fwiw.

Cost me:
Disney Sing IT PS3 (BB sale)
C&C Red Alert (BB Sale)
Opoona
Super Smash Brothers
Valkryia Chronicles
and Worms Blast GC
I am happy with the trade in, I just traded in some more stuff for CIB Lufia and Secret of Evermore which should be here tomorrow

So... My friend wanted to see Star Trek again, and he said to call him after I got off work. He didn't pick up, so I stop at that thrift that's close to work but far from where I live, figuring that I'll be down that way anyway for the movie. Anyway, he canceled (maybe tomorrow night) and I had a really good vinyl dig. Oh, and I got some games as well...

Vinyl... Click here (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1556736&postcount=2586)to see titles.
Games:
Sega Genesis - Beavis and Butthead - $1.95
-Darn it, they wrote the price on the label. At least the label's black.
PC - $0.95 each, $5.70 total:
Privateer 2 - The Darkening (Deluxe Edition)
Warcraft I
Warcraft III
Quake (wanted this forever...)
Quake Mission Pack 1+2
Gabriel Knight I (I have the old release disc-only, forgot whether this was 1 or 2)
...and System Shock 2. I don't think they charged me for that one, since it's in a thin case. Then again, 14 records came to $14.95, when they're supposed to be under $1 each. Funny how that worked.
And lastly, one of those stereoscopic headsets. It's from 2002, requires an nVidia card and CRT monitor, and includes "15 games." Yeah, 15 crappy, demo-ish games designed by the manufacturer, no doubt. I haven't even opened it yet, but I'll be setting up my old CRT with my onboard GeForce 6100 or whatever it is. They had a whole Rubbermaid box of these things, and I doubt that they'll ever sell them all, even at $3.95 each.

No pics since I'm at work but a couple things from Goodwill at lunch today:

I hitched a ride with my Dad so I could go to my favorite out-of-town game shop. I picked up Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask (PS2) for $20. The game appears to be fairly uncommon in my area. I've only seen 2 other copies over the past couple of years, one was a rental at Rogers Video, and the other was at EB Games before I had my PS2.
Anyway, I also moved my games onto the black media shelf I found on Saturday. It nice to finally have my collection organized!

Yeah, I saw the same thing at Goodwill today. There was an open box Wii Fit that looked like a Target return. It was priced at $89.99...the same price as a brand new Wii Fit.
The sad part is that some idiot will probably buy it.

Their prices amaze me considering everything is donated. But like all good charity groups, no doubt they pockey 75% of all sales and monetary donations. This is really why I don't even put change in baskets, because so little of it goes to help people.

Well, not all organizations can make a difference with volunteers alone, you do have to pay management and etc. It also costs a lot to maintain a building, including electricity, taxes, insurance, tons of stuff. If 25% of sales go to a charity, that's darn good for a business.
Donations, however, SHOULD go directly to a cause. Santa Clause is ringing the bell because he cares, not to get $5.50/hr. At least, that's what I'd like to believe.

The TI-99/4a has a weird power adapter that's on eBay, but I think it can use either a standard RF cable or one of those Commodore monitor cables, but I'm not entirely sure. :?
Yeah, I was going to get that one, but I decided against it because I wanted to get other stuff first and really like to start up computer collections with at least the bare basics, plus I figured shipping would be expensive.

To top it off, my Goodwill area store STILL writes the prices on with a marker. Too cheap for price stickers. But those have barcodes, so probably too cheap to get a scanner, too.

The Goodwills around me mark only on the games. Not the CDs or movies, just the games.
Why do that when they have a set price for everything, I have no idea. $4 for any game, basically. Sometimes it's a bargain, sometimes it isn't. Most good games seem to have has the disc stolen anyway.
Once in a while you'll get a good deal, but every time I've gotten something awesome, it was on the day it was donated.

Stickers can be removed/switched. Much harder to do that to a price written on with a marker.

well at the goodwill i work at we use a price sticker with a barcode and then also "code" the item by writing a code corresponding with the price on the object its self. that usually deters most price switching people

Truth be told, one thing that seems to kill my desire to buy anything at a Goodwill store is the fact that it's been written on with a marker. Especially if it's on cardboard, paper, or somehting else that's either difficult or impossible to clean.

Well, been really busy lately, and just read pages 2-11 of this thread. Great finds this month guys!
All I've picked up are 17 NES games for $15 at a garage sale, the notables being smb 2, smb 3, mike tyson's punch out.
And regarding the PS2 network adaptors, people buy them on ebay for $50 to sell to other people overseas for $100+ so they can pirate the PS2. Try contacting a person who previously bought NA from you and sell them to them off ebay to save on fees.

Not as good a weekend as previous weeks.

SNES holder was also yesterday for 25 cents
PC games 1 each, GBA games 2 ea., Tetris .50, and DS game was $3.
Then I got an unexpected package today. totally out of the blue (forgotten about).

This was from 'Tales Brigade'. If you pre-ordered Tales using their link to Gamestop, you were to get this plush doll (head velcros on/off). The t-shirt and soundtrack I don't think were part of the deal; maybe just a bonus for it taking so long? Maybe I forgot about that part or it was for something else.

A bunch of my stuff came in the mail over the past couple of days:
HyperScan
Marvel Heroes - New
Ben 10 - New
IWL - New
Before Shipping, I think it was right around $10 for all 3
Genesis
Sonic 3 (complete) - $10
Sonic 3d Blast (Complete) - $8
Now all I need to do is wait for Joe to send my HyperScan system (I won it from him from eBay) and then I will be 1 game away from a complete HyperScan collection (by far the easiest and cheapest system I have run into for a complete collection).
5 games came out on HS, 1 was included with the system. All of the others outside of Spiderman can easily be had for $5 or under.

Crash Bandicoot (Complete) - $2

Nintendo 64 With 1st Party Controller, 3rd Party Controller, AC Adaptor & NES/SNES RF Adaptor with piece to connect to N64 systems
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
$3
Found SMBD in a GBC, asked about games. Broght out the N64 with no games offered $3 for them which was taken after thinking it over for a few seconds. I don't think you can see it too well in the picture but the 3rd party controller (SkarkPad 64) is in bad shape and needs to be put out of it's misery.
Sega Genesis 2 in box with 1 (3 button) 1st party controller, AC Adaptor & RF Adaptor
Eternal Champions (Boxed)
Game Genie
Virtua Fighter 2 manual
$4
Saw this marked $5 offerd $2 for it to which the guy responded was too low, I said how about you meet me in the middle then and he said $4 which I agreed on since it was close enough to the middle (3.50) and I don't have a Genesis 2 box.
Non Find BS
Went to about 60 sales and really didn't find anything better then the few boring parting gifts I'm showing here :D I did see some of the usual dreck at a few sales that people should just throw away instead of selling at a yardsale (GBC carrying case but no system or games, PC kid games, old steering wheel controller) I didn't really see anything else good that I passed on except for a PSP with 2-3 games and a UMD but it was definately priced by a kid and too high for anywhere especially a yardsale ($150)
Friday Morning at about 8:20 I was told that I was the third person to ask about video games at this sale and was told that the other 2 were older ladies looking for games for their grandchildren and it sounded to me like it was the same lady that grabbed a Donkey Kong Country 3 for GBA from across a table that I over looked last year. I did happen to see her out and about this morning, it's too bad my grandmother wasen't so dedicated to finding me old games when I was younger!
I had two sales that mentioned games I missed (one was a PS2 sytem the other some PSX or PS2 games) so I didn't get any hints that I missed anything like old cart games, sales were probably just that dry video game wise.
The one sale I asked about video games at the lady mentioned that she had a Nintendo with a "ton" (I'm guessing about 20-25) games but that she was "most likely" keeping it. Sounded like she found it getting ready for the yardsale but decided to pull it out of the attic and play it instead of selling it. Kind of crappy to mention and after I left I was thinking about if I should have tried to get her to bring out and sell any games that they wouldn't play but I was better off not as there (sp?) really probably isn't any way of doing so that wouldn't be rude or pushy.

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/9531/xboxmod.jpg
3 crappy PS2 games, $1 each
2 HD-DVD movies, $3 each
Hit TV nostalgia gold at Half-Price Books! Jason of Star Command, one of my Saturday morning favorites, Complete Series DVD box set $9.99. And even better, volumes 1-4 of SCTV network 90 $14.99 each – I remember when these came out, they were $70-$80 each! All were new, and HPB had multiple copies.
Finished with an unusual Xbox find at Goodwill. Was headed out the door, when a cart came out, and an Xbox with a bunch of stuff taped to it was right on top. Priced $9.99, I couldn’t pass it up. It had power and RCA cables, an s-controller, a wireless controller, and this thing sticking out of the side

The screws on the bottom show it’s been opened, so I’m hoping for some sort of interesting mod when I power it up. Anyone have any idea what this is for?

The thing coming out of the Xbox looks like a USB port, but it's not the right plug for a keyboard or mouse, etc.
I'm guessing it'll have a custom dash when you boot it up. I'd suggest putting XBMC on it and enjoying all the internet radio, media features, etc.

My sister and I went to the next town over to check out the Value Village there. I saw a copy of Crash Bandicoot in the CD section, but someone had already stolen the disc. There were a couple of other games there, but there were either overpriced or crappy sports games so I left them. I did however find a CD by the Japanese group Dreams Come True called Sing or Die. I did a little research online, and it appears this was DCT's first American album.

Yesterday, I picked a Wii Sports packaged boxed. The top door is broke, but it still rests in place and you cant notice it. It came with the box, all inserts, nun chuck, 2 wii motes and the receipt. It is only 2 months old. Paid $100.00 for it, had to drive about 30 miles.
I also got Super Mario RPG yesterday from a different Criagslist ad. game works great, had to do some cleaning as it reaked of smoke. Paid $10.00 and had it delivered.

Whoops! I went to a new flea market (we actually have a real one here now!) and got some records and a few Dreamcast games. Guy wasn't paying attention when he added it all up, so the games, normally $3 each, cost me $1 instead. And heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere they are...
Wetrix+
Worms Armageddon
Sega GT
Dynamite Cop!
They're all complete but do have varying scratches that I hope won't affect playability too badly.

The thing coming out of the Xbox looks like a USB port, but it's not the right plug for a keyboard or mouse, etc. That IS a USB port: A type B one (used on scanners, printers, and other stuff). Who knows what kinda device plugged in there.

Neo Geo Coliseum (Complete) - $4
Another slow day at the flea but it was rather cold and still fairly wet out from the rain the night before so not as many sellers as usual, this was IAP and I was fairly happy to find it since I've been interested in trying it out.
Saw a guy with about 50 new G.I. Joes including what was probably all of the Street Fighter II ones but he wanted $5 each.
Saw a brick Game Boy with Tetris and 4 other crap games, as I was looking at it the lady said she was asking $45 and I asked about games $8 per and she said they were "pretty expensive", I would agree if new and this was back in the early 90s which it ain't.
I don't even want to bother trying to haggle with these people they should know better (or will soon find out and not come back to sell again) since only cheapskates shop at this flea market ;)

I didn't hit many garage sales last week; I ran out of money early on. Anyway, here's what I found:
- DS Headset (New): $10
- A 10 year old Dell desktop: $10
- Hot Wheels: World Race (PC. Loose): Free (Was in the DVD drive on the PC I bought)
- A complete set of the Burger King Star Trek cups (New): $7
The PC I got, though 10 years old, is more powerful than the one I had been using before it (This one has a 600Mhz Pentium III, versus the 450Mhz Pentium III that was in my last one). Also, the Star Trek cups are very nice; it makes me wish I had a proper display case to put the set in.

I'll cross-post from Import gaming :)
My first game purchases in months, really. I've gotten selective in my old age instead of buying any old thing.
I got two art books - one for Okami and the other for Persona 4:
