Yesterday's finds:

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy -- Omnibus Edition TPB - $2. I was looking at a table with books when I saw the infamous logo and I snatched up the book. Woo!

Mechwarrior II with the first expansion pack and netplay pack -- $4. I bought it to resell but it's probably not worth much, doh.

Men At Work: Business as Usual -- their debut album for a buck! Whee!

That's plenty of mega pixels. The problem isn't the quality of the picture, it's the user; it looks like camera is too close to the subject and it's hard for the camera to focus clearly. Also try using a little lighting in the environment to brighten it up. It also looks like it wasn't held steady enough.

Tupin

Yeah, the camera is pretty hard to keep steady. Most cameras I've seen since I bought this one you can literally shake up and down with no motion blur, so I think it's time for a new one.

Oh, and I turned the flash off because it was way too bright with it on. You could barely see anything.

But yeah, still excited I got a T1000. :D

More garage sale finds. First was a Genesis w/ some games. It doesn't really do much for me, and I wasn't going to buy it, but it wasn't priced. When I asked just out of curiousity, the guy ho hummed and then said 5-10. I said I'd take it for 5 and he agreed. Probably wouldn't have if it hadn't been in the nice storage bin.

http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/finds155a.jpg

That was early on. Went to a bunch more, but I must have been in the 'old people' part of town, because they were all sales w/ glassware, tacky figurines, and general old people crap. I almost passed on the last sale because all I could see was pink clothes, I did stop, though, and good thing! SNES w/ hookups, 2 cont, mouse & pad was $3. PS2 w/ hookups and controller (a/v cables were DOA, but PS2 works great) was also $3, with Simpson's game inside. SNES games were 50 cents each so I just took them all. Animal crossing is CIB w/ memory card for $2.

http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/finds155b.jpg
games are Disney's Goof Troop, The Lion King, Paperboy2, Claymates, Mario Paint, TMNT IV Turtles in Time, Super Adventure Island, Super Alfred Chicken,
The Jetsons, Yoshi's Island, The Flintstones

I picked this all up at a Garage sale this morning. I asked the woman there how much she wanted for the system and all the games. She didn't know so she yelled inside at her husband to ask how much he wanted, he replied with $30. When he said $30 she gave a look in horror and said that is way too much for something like this, then she asked me how much I was willing to spend. I said $20 and she accepted right away. I probably could have said $10 and she would accepted. Oh well, $20 is still really good for all this.

N64 system with expansion pak and all hookups
2 controllers
Memory card

Games:

Conkers Bad Fur Day
Turok Rage Wars
Zelda Majoras Mask
Polaris Snocross
Wipeout 64
Ready 2 Rumble round 2
Dr Mario
Banjo Tooie

Picked up a few things at Gamestop tonight. The RC cars were $5.99 each (originally priced at $19.99). I also picked up Civilization Revolution (DS) - $14.99. I also stopped by Hastings and finally picked up a copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GCN) for $17.99. I had been looking for this for awhile as only Players Choice copies seemed to be showing up and I really don't want to add many Player's Choice copies to Gamecube collection (currently only have 1).

Picked up another stack of 17 more original Xbox titles at Gamestop for about $40, thanks to the sale and my edge card.
Got:

Fight Club
Unreal Championship
Unreal Championship 2
Unreal II The Awakening
Pro Race Driver
Brute Force
Outlaw Golf 2
Defender
Dragon Ball Z Sagas
Quantum Redshift
Xbox Music Mixer
Gun
Cold Fear
Special Forces Nemesis Strike
Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter
Nightcaster
Psi-Ops

And then the cashier let me snag manuals out of some cases to complete games I bought earlier, including Ace Combat 4, Animal Crossing, Nightmare Before Xmas, Dai Senryaku, X-Men Legends and Manhunt. Also grabbed one of those lenticular cards out of a copy of Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball.

They had like 12 copies of Castlevania for Xbox. What the heck is up with that? Is the Xbox version a shitty port?

Unfortunately I don't have a picture but I just snagged 2 NES consoles (with all hookups), 58 games (including pretty much all of the popular games), 2 zappers and an advantage for $100. I already have most of them but I was able to trade out some rough looking games in my collection for the better looking ones.

2 He-Man Figures - .20

2 He Man figures at .10 each, the green guy (Kobra Khan) is actually one of the cooler (if not the coolest!) He Man figures. I used to have him way back in the day and you can take his head off and fill him with water and press his head down to make him spray mist as I'm sure a few reading this will remember.

Diddy Kong Toy - .50

Found him in a box with 8 different action figures marked .50 each, 2 Donkey Kong Country toys and 6 Sonic toys. I offered $2 on the box and the lady countered with $3 so I just took Diddy for the IAP, I was going to take Funky Kong also but didn't bother since he had pen scribbled on his face, this was kind of funny since these toys really are worthless and the lady probably should have taken any offer a buck or over just to get rid of them :P

Playstation 2 Network Adaptor - $3

Retro Duo With 2 Controllers AC Adaptor & S-Video/Audio Video Thing Hook Up

Mappy Land
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Spy Vs Spy

Madden 95
NHL 94
Super Mario All-Stars

$5

Found the Playstation 2 Network Adaptor marked $5 offered $3 which was taken NP, when I got home I saw that underneth the $5 in marker it's labed $10 in pen as if it was out at a yardsale in a previous year and didn't sell. I also got the Retro Duo at the same sale asked the kid about video games and he mentioned having a Nintendo with a few games at his place but couldn't leave until somebody else got back to watch the sale or something so I stopped back about an hour later and we went over to his place a few blocks away, he showed it to me and I offered $5 which he gladly accepted since he really didn't like the older games as he was telling me, said he got the system with a GameCube he bought a while back for $175 so you know it had to have been a while ago that he got the Cube :D

I actually needed Mappy Land for my collection ever since I just missed out one 3 years ago at the flea market when I saw someone else buying it and have been hoping to find it in the wild since I didn't want to resort to eBay since I probably wouldn't be able to get it for less then $4 shipped. It's funny how I have so many NES games yet I still find a game I don't have that's decent when I find a handful of games in the wild (like Ring King last year).

Non Find BS

I didn't find much and only actually got any video game stuff at one sale but it wasen't for a lack of effort I went to 40+ yardsales today and was out the door at 7:10 this morning and was out from then til noon with 2 small breaks so I probalby was hitting the pavement for about 4 hours total. A few sales said we sold a PS/GC/Xbox already and the GC stuff that went I was told was kids games nothing special (or almost surely nothing special), I also got 2-3 sales that mentioned still having a NES/SNES that they still use when asking for games. Surprisingly enough I've barely even seen any crap last gen stuff this year, the only last gen game I've seen this year at all at a yardsale was 1 PS2 sports game marked $5.

I only saw one sale today selling video games that could be considered "Retro" (by this I'm thinking older then last gen) This yard sale had a SNES & an N64 both with everything needed 2 controllers and about 9 games with each system. Only decent SNES stuff was SMW x2 and Areo The Acrobat, N64 Mario Tennis, Super Mario Kart 64 & Zelda: OoT. Both systems with games were marked $40. I went up and countered the $80 for both systems with an offer of $20. The lady said that this was her son's stuff and he just left for some reason but offered to call him. I think she though I was offering $20 for one of the systems and was told that the $40 was "firm" when she got off the phone. I asked about him lowing the price if they were sitting on it at the end of the day and she though maybe but judging by the phone call this guy/kid wasen't serious about getting rid of the stuff and would probably reluctantly let it go for $30 at best I was thinking so it didn't seem worth the trouble of driving back a town over later on since the IAP is about what it's worth on eBay and I have all mentioned games in my collection :D

Edit - I forgot to mention I saw some Imagine Babyz DS crap at a sale they were only asking $20 and I was thinking it was a great deal, or you could probably get the game cheaper sealed on eBay lol

I bought a DS Lite AC adaptor at Gamestop for $10. It's the Gamestop branded cable. Basically a DS Lite USB charger cord with a wall outlet brick that it can plug into. Plus a GBA SP/DS adapter piece.

My DS Lite charger has a split in the cable covered with tape, so I thought it was time to replace it.

Drove an hour and a half out of my way to get to reach a city I heard had some great things to offer (game wise), here's how things turned out:

From Disc Replay:
- Mischief Makers (N64; boxed) = $5.99
- Breath of Fire (SNES; cart) = $12.99
- NBA Jam TE (SNES;cart) = $3.99
- Wario Land Super Mario Land 3 (GB; CIB) = $3.99
- Super Mario Land 2 6 Golden Coins (GB; CIB) = $7.99
- Donkey Kong Land (GB; yellow cart CIB) = $3.99
- Stop That Roach! (GB; CIB!) = $8.99
(all the GB games also have the clamshell cases just no cart holder inserts)
- NiGHTS into Dreams... (Saturn; w/3D controller) = $16.99 (nice story to go along with this one, after purchasing I was taking a look at it to check contents and lo-and-behold the game is still sealed! and the controller still has the plastic and styrofoam on it!)

http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv315/incubus421/5209nights.jpg

From McVan's
- Shining the Holy Ark (Saturn, complete)
- Dragon Force (Saturn, complete)
TOTAL = $120 (I'm sure I could have got a better deal somwhere else but I'm way too impatient to wait to play games like these)

Actually ANY nintendo ACTION FIGURE is worth a fair bit (as in compared to run of the mill flea market actions figures) So $3 for 8 figures was a great deal.

Went to the local store today and got an Atari 2600 AC adapter, Bases Loaded on the NES, and K.C Munchkin.

I also noticed a stack of boxed systems all the way up to the ceiling, including a boxed JVC X'Eye! :o

I was more interested in the boxed TurboGrafx-16, but he said he still had to catalog them all and that the X'Eye would not be sold. :(

Went to a couple of thrifts in town with my sister. The only thing I picked up was ziploc bag with the following 8 Dreamcast games in it (all disc only):

Ready to Rumble Boxing

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense

Vanishing Point

Trick Style

Sonic Shuffle

WF Attitude

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX

Yeah, it's not the greatest selection. But for four bucks, I figured it was worth checking them out. All of the games work, except for Sonic Shuffle. But I already have a complete copy, so I don't care.

Defensive, much? Calm down, dude. An action figure is an action figure, regardless of where or how it was sold. Should I correct you on your use of the meaningless term "flea market action figure"? Is that a poseable replica of a flea market that you can use to battle strip mall action figures? I wasn't contradicting you, but rather, adding an exception for particular toys.

Well thanks young man. I am perfectly calm. I was just stating that correcting me was unnecessary. And no, I do not consider a toy from McDonalds to be an action figure; McDonalds has never sold an official action figure to my knowledge.

My term "flea market action figure" (for lack of a better way to express it) was my attempt to say that if you were digging through a bin of X-Men and Power Rangers at a FLEA MARKET, a Nintendo ACTION FIGURE should stand out. As Nintendo ACTION FIGURES and NOT McDonalds' toys, are increasingly valuable.

Sorry for any confusion and I apologize to the rest of the Digital Press community for having to read this nonsense. I hate it as much as the next person when grievances are aired in the forums.

Thanks,

Passed up local garage sales this morning (There wasn't anything of interest) to hit the Canton, TX flea market (First time I ever went). After making my way through all the businesses selling stuff my grandparents would be interested in (This is usually the only part they look at), I found myself in the back area; where all my finds came from. I also went by a Goodwill on the way home, though didn't find anything worthwhile.

Bought:
- Mario action figure (Super Mario Bros.: The Movie edition. Loose in acceptible shape): $.25
- Various Star Trek: The Next Generation action figures (5 in total. Loose in mint condition): $10
- Generic DVD player (Missing remote): $5

Passed up:
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Genesis. Loose): $.50 (Good price, though I already have a copy)
- Super NES system (With one controller): $25
- Nintendo 64 system (With two controllers): $25
- Nintendo 64 system (With one controller): $25
- PlayStation console (With 2 controllers and 5 games; all common stuff): $25
- Complete collection of Star Trek: The Next Generation action figures (With carry case and all accessories): $40

Well thanks young man.
Sure, let's start off with some sarcasm.

I am perfectly calm. I was just stating that correcting me was unnecessary. And no, I do not consider a toy from McDonalds to be an action figure; McDonalds has never sold an official action figure to my knowledge.

Your definition of what an action figure is differs from most, then. I have articulated character figurines ("action figures) from Batman the Animated Series, among other licenses, that were obtained from McDonalds. It is possible for a toy to be both an action figure and a restaurant premium. Are the Burger King Xbox titles not video games, but restaurant toys as well? Are "mail-in exclusive" figures also not action figures? What is an "official action figure"? Is there a standards organization that dictates what an action figure is? Your logic fails.

I was trying to be helpful with my comment regarding restaurant premiums. You seem to have taken it as some kind of challenge. I used to collect restaurant toys and wanted to add some clarification for others reading this thread. It's unfortunate, but most restaurant premiums haven't held much value the past 15 or so years due to both speculators and production numbers. Telling me it was unnecessary for me to correct you is arguably as unnecessary as you doing the same to me.

Yeah, well your term wasn't very helpful to anyone else reading what you posted. There are other ways you could have explained it, but it's really besides the point.

Sorry for any confusion and I apologize to the rest of the Digital Press community for having to read this nonsense. I hate it as much as the next person when grievances are aired in the forums.

Ah, the old "apology to the community" bit to try make yourself seem above the argument you've instigated. Aside from your misuse of the word grievance, claiming my statements were nonsense doesn't do anything to add credibility to yours.

Thanks,
Mike

Good start to the Wisconsin rummage sale season today….

http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/7276/may09rummage.jpg

Got the top-loader w/dogbone & manual plus the two Zelda games w/hintbook for $15 from multi-vendor school rummage. Playstation games were a buck each at another sale down the street. Got the loose manuals, 4 complete Genesis titles, and 4 loose NES games for only $3 total at a third. And finally pulled 8 2600 games marked 49 cents each from a big pile I spotted at a Goodwill…best in the lot were Frogger II Threedeep, Sorcerer, and Sears picture label Outer Space. Hopefully, this is the shape of things to come for this summer!

/me stares at the little conversation that just happened with tubeway and icarwngs55.
okay O_o, that's a strange subject to get in a semi-fight over.
I'm glad that it ended in hugs. It could've been a lot worse. Just FYI I like to use the generic word "figure" when talking about any sort of toy or action figure in a form in which stands, sits, or is posable in some way. I have no reason behind that, I just do.

I was too tired and lazy to wake up at 5:00 AM for sales today (Saturday) and my dad went out without me.

When I woke up he was already back. He had found some stuff he could sell on eBay and he had found 4 NES games for a buck a piece. I selected Wizards & Warriors: Ironsword and Gauntlet II out of the lot. He said I could pay him what he paid for them, so a buck each.

Later that day, I went out to a local game store, FX Game Exchange, and I got 3 games for my Odyssey 2: Type and Tell, Attack of the Timelord, and Dynasty for $1.95 each. I also got a nice minty copy of the AVE game Dudes With Attitude (R5 for NES) to replace my beat up copy. Dudes with 'Tude was $4.95.

EDIT: Holy Crap I didn't see that before. $15 toploader! Nice find, Goodwill Hunter.

Passed on (I think I'll start saying what I passed on so I can torment myself after finding out it's valuable)

Pokemon Pikachu N64, console + cables only: $15

Does anyone know what that Point Blank 3 is worth around? It's sealed.

Most might consider it an overpay, but I'm happy. I hit up the Gamestop XBox sale...

Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 - $7.50 (I couldn't pass on the sick game lineup on this one)

Ninja Gaiden - $7.50 (Always wanted to own this one for some reason...)

Tetris Worlds - $5.99 (My Wife and I both love Tetris, so...)

Found a CIB Quake III Arena for $5 today. Nothing special really but it was one of the games on my list I wanted in box.

Also got a neat Doom shareware disk... it was distributed by "Gold Medallion Software" in one of those 10 disk hanging things you'd see at WalMart back in the day. That was a buck so it went in the DOS games pile!

Yeah, but not so much if they're from fast food restaurants. I don't know if these were from either.

I'm pretty sure they weren't happy meal toys or anything of the sorts, it's surprising to think that they would be worth anything loose and in played with condition but then again I could see certain toys for one reason or another being worth decent money even if they are used.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Prince, The (GC) (Complete) - $10
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Complete) - $10
Platinum WaveBird - $2
Final Fantasy VII Without Manual (GH) $2
Spyro Year of The Dragon (GH) $1
Crash Team Racing Without Manual $1
GameCube 1019 Memory Card $1

Went to the flea market and right by it was a yardsale that I stopped by first. Had a pretty good selection between PS1, PS2 and GameCube games. It was a little kid selling some of the games and the rest belonged to other family members with initials so I didn't even bother haggling since it was still a good deal altogether even though the last gen games were all $10 (with some other good games in the mix) which is too much for last gen games at a yardsale or just about anywhere for many of the last gen games (not so bad obviously for what I picked out). They even had a few other things I was thinking of grabbing that I passed on a wired GameCube Controller that was either .50 or a buck, Excite Truck for the Wii at $10 and a GBA SP that was rather scatched on the case with charger for $15.

Bullshit Not Related To Anything I bought

I actually didn't buy anything at the (1st) flea market today after this sale as I passed on a few things that I had some interest in, PS2 memory card that was in a PS1 had to wipe the dust off of it since it was so dirty wanted $5 for it so I just passed since I was thinking it may not even work. Kingdom Hearts (Non GH) $4, and one table had a bunch of games mostly PS2 with some Xbox & PS1 but wanted way too much $10 for last gen and $5 for PS1. The lady asked if I was interested in anything as I walked away and offered to do $6 & $3 but I didn't see much I was interested in although I should have grabbed Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (PS2) but it was missing the manual and I figured I'd never get around to playing it anyways. They had some PS1 systems and an Xbox and everything was just to rich one of the PS1 systems was marked $40 (!!) I was thinking that they probably won't be back as I sometimes see people selling video games or electronics like this at this flea market that don't really know what they are worth and sell them for too much, especially at (this) flea and it just doesn't work lol They probably just don't get it and figure it's a waste to sell at this flea market not realizing how much ho hum/common games really do depreciate.

Bust A Groove With Manual - $5

I found this at the flea market that I only go to a few times a year after not finding anything at the flea I go to regularly and is the only really good deal I've ever gotten at this flea, it was with what was mostly card/sports games all marked $5. I figured I'd spurge (sp?) and grab a few packs of cards from the card guy at this flea on the way out since I had a few good finds this weekend. The Wacky Packages (Series 2 & 3) were a $1 each and Garbage Pail Kids (ANS1) were $2 which I found out were a $1 a pack when they came out, I know the guy likes to charge a premium on older cards like this sometimes and I figured it was probably over what they retailed for but I though they might have retailed for more then a buck since it comes with 4 pieces of gum and a foil card in each pack and is thinker (thanks to the extra gum included).

Later that day, I went out to a local game store, FX Game Exchange
Yesterday, it occurred to me that when I visited that store a month ago or so, they mentioned that there's another location in Mckinney, TX. So today I decided to venture up there and locate it, since that Waco store had a whole bunch of great stuff. Unfortunately I forgot to take a map, but I eventually found it after much driving around aimlessly (and finding some local thrift stores I'm going to have to hit one of these days when they're open). When I walked in, there was a bin next to the door of discounted stuff, including a Jaguar controller for 97¢, an Atari Trak-Ball (the cool looking angular all-black kind) for $1.97, a Video Command Atari compatible joystick (which is essentially an Atari version of the Fairchild Channel F controller) for $1.97, and some fairly worn Atari 7800 controllers with no price on them that I decided to leave. I also picked up Primal Rage for the 32X for $9.95. Surprisingly, they didn't have any Sega CD or Saturn games at all. And only one pre-NES game, Missle Command for the 2600. I was really hoping it would have a great selection from all eras like their store in Waco.

Weirdness at a Columbus-area goodwill today. Digging through the CDs and found the case for Zelda-Phantom Hourglass (DS) marked $2.99. Open it up and find:

Super Monkey Ball Touch & Roll (DS)
Jimmy Neutron Attack of the Twonkies (GBA)

along with the reg card for Zelda, the DS Wifi booklet and the DS safety guide. Probably give the DS game to a friend that just got a DS, and keep the GBA game.

I snagged a decent CL deal tonight.

Genesis 2, 32x, Toughman Contest (complete), Virtua Racing (complete), Doom (with manual), Virtual Fighter 32x, Ecco: Tides of Time (complete), Pit Fighter (complete), Super Street Fighter II (complete), X-men 2, Flashback, WeaponLord, and Out of this World

Total: $10

Guy also says he has Splatterhouse (didn't say whether it was 2 or 3) and will give me a call if he finds it. If he does, it's included in the $10 I paid.

HOLY SHIT icbrkr that's amazing!

The story behind it is that there was this guy's brother who passed away suddenly after the E3 last year and he was a huge collector. The guy drove to New York to load as much of it into his car as he could to come back, go through, and sell off for his estate. His mom ended up with the other half. He didn't want to just garage sale it, but he wanted it to go to collectors. I normally don't bother with CL, but Grimbal sent me an email with the link and I figured if they had a Tales of Symphonia Gamecube, what else do they have?

English wasen't my best class in school, math was as some of my posts surely can back up. I would actually hid some of the text that isn't really important to what I found to make it a little easier to deal with but AFAIK DP doesn't have any kind of spoiler tags.

It's at least good to hear that I didn't screw up the puncturation :D or at least not too much.

I went on my usual route today, but all I walked away with was an Atari 2600 paddle controller set. That was from a shop down the road from my friend's house, after dropping off his 2600 which needed the power plug re-soldered. This thrift was probably the worst I've seen in terms of markup.

$28 printer from the early 90s, anyone? Comes with extra dust!

There was a graveyard-of-a-rack full of CRT monitors, with a blue/turqoise iMac sitting right in the middle. Had the mouse too. I've wanted one since I was a kid and they were new, mainly so I could play The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime. Judging by the price of those printers, I thought maybe $60, which I would have run to an ATM to get. Nope, $125. Screw it. Also wanted $5 and $10 for some sealed DOS games, Martian somethingorother and Under a Killing Moon, respectively.

The first thing I found was the Atari paddles, and I waited until I was fed up to ask their price. Friggin $8. I would have probably paid that with shipping online, and I've been needing a set, so I paid it and left. Not going back there again. Didn't even bother to ask about the Genesis 3 that was missing cables.

Saw THREE GameCubes at my church's thrift, no hookups. At least two of them had digital AV, the black ones. Didn't look at the indigo one with the "electricity" skin. $10/each. Also looked underneath, no modems or ethernet adaptors. No sense in getting those. Also passed up the three Expert Software PC Sonic releases (CD, R, and & Knuckles Collection), jewel cases. I have all three disc only, and they were $1 each. Also passed up Resident Evil 3 (PSX) at GoodWill for $3.06, which was missing the demo disc and had bad water damage.

At least there's one thing I feel good about: my Genesis 2 video cable came Saturday, $8 shipped.

Okay everybody, the mystery lot came in today. You can stop holding your breath.

What started as this undescribed, promising looking lot on ebay
http://ryaan1234.googlepages.com/3c17_1.jpg

Became this (in order of worst games first, and by worst I mean "least valuable" and "least shiny")

http://ryaan1234.googlepages.com/finds50409-1.jpg
For those that are blind it's Karnov, Bases Loaded: Second Season, 2 copies of SMB/DH, Ghostbusters, Spy Hunter, (grey) Zelda, Robocop, John Elway's Quarterback, Gauntlet, Double Dragon II, Trojan, and Rampage.

http://ryaan1234.googlepages.com/finds50309-2.jpg
mmmm... a bit tastier. Metroid, Life Force, Renegade, SMB 3, Ninja Gaidan 1 & 2, (licensed) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, Crystalis, and Wizards & Warriors.

http://ryaan1234.googlepages.com/finds50409-3.jpg
8-) Dragon Warrior 1 & 3 boxed. Also in the pic is Zone of The Enders (PS2), Gameshark (PS2), Beowulf, Pirates of the Carribean, and Fatal Rewind (GEN).

I paid almost $30 for that lot. Not bad I guess.

Here's what I use. Dab a little on a Q-Tip and wipe it off after it starts to look runny. Mine actually says "1148 Thinner/Diluant," nothing about enamel, but you get the idea. Try it on SMB first, and keep it away from the labels.

lol I had no idea what you were talking about until I remembered the "FM" on all the games. If it helps any there's no "FM" on Dragon Warrior III. :)

Thanks for the advice. I was actually going to try out a magic eraser.

Also, the writing is the least of my worries. I wasn't going to say anything but all of these games stink of cigarette smoke. I've had some smelly ciggy games before (PS1) and I've found that the best thing to do is to just let them sit and air out for a while. I probably shouldn't say this too but at least they aren't all moldy/nasty. (/me feels bad for Darkslime.)

And one of the games has "Grandma" written twice on the back O_o.
